The staff were great Ella actually works there with her wonderful family The best part was Ella’s parents taking us in a snorkeling boat trip! The breakfast was very decent in this super remote place!

I don’t know if it’s a pro or a con but the location was remote and technically 10 minutes only away from everything else in this village! The beach is super rocky exactly unlike the other side of the village!

It is nestled in a quiet area of Salang (just a 5–10 min walk from the restaurants and shops), and you get your own private beach view, complete with idyllic hammocks on coconut trees. It’s a family-owned resort, so everyone is friendly and makes you feel right at home!

It can get really warm in the afternoon, but that’s just Southeast Asia. Get an aircon room if you can’t take the heat.

Tempat best. Jauh dr tempat penginapan lain. Jd utk yg mancari ketenangan boleh stay kat sini. X bising. Depan laut yg best. Landai. Sesuai untuk anak2 mandi. Host pun sangat la baik dan peramah. Jauh sikit dr restoran atau mini mart. Tp ok je, jalan kaki ke area yg ada kedai x jauh pun. Insyallah. Ada rezeki kami dtg lagi. Terimakasih layan kami anak beranak.. Anak2 seronok main kat kampung.

Really amazing location, you can kayak and snorkel from the beach in front, the family are super lovely and helpful, I had banana pancakes on the beach most days, there are hammocks and chairs to relax on, you can arrange snorkel trips with them too, it’s further away from the rest of the village so it’s nice and quiet

My room didn’t have aircon but I knew that when booking, something to be aware of, the room is basic but clean and comfortable

Die Lage ist für Gäste, die Ruhe und Entspannung suchen perfekt. Ellas Place ist die letzte Unterkunft im Norden von Salang. Daher ist man „unter sich“. Die Atmosphäre ist mega-relaxt mit Hängematten und Tischen zum Frühstücken direkt am Strand. Wir hatten Bungalows mit Blick aufs Meer. Man kann Schnorchel-Ausrüstung und Kajaks leihen und auch sämtliche Touren bei ihr buchen. Ins „Dorfzentrum“ zu Restaurants und Shops läuft man keine 10 Minuten. Man kommt sofort in den Entschleunigungsmodus :-) Das Team ist größtenteils super nett und hilfsbereit.

Unsere Bungalows waren schon recht alt, hatten keine AC (das wussten wir zwar, haben es aber im Nachhinein bereut bei den Temperaturen darauf verzichtet zu haben) und die Ausstattung war schon sehr in die Tage gekommen und bedarf einer Renovierung. Die Betten könnten auch bequemer sein. Ebenso waren die Bungalows recht klein und Ablageflächen spärlich vorhanden.

Bungalow vue mer avec terrasse. Accès direct plage, les pieds dans l’eau. Tout est au top : très propre, confort, calme, hamac. Délicieux petit déjeuner. Personnel attentif. L’ambiance est reposante et chacun est à son rythme. Nous recommandons chaudement.

Puncte forte: ✅ Micul dejun este foarte bun: omleta cu roșii și clătita cu cocos sunt delicioase. ✅ Maimuțele pot fi văzute foarte des în copacii din jur. Sunt și multe iguane în zonă. ✅Check-in devreme, Check-out târziu. ⏰

Am stat 5 zile la Ella’s Place și, din păcate, experiența nu a fost chiar la nivelul așteptărilor. Nu recomand să stați mai mult de 3 zile aici. Puncte slabe: ❌ Nu există fierbător electric în cameră. Pentru noi a fost un mare disconfort să nu putem face un ceai sau o cafea atunci când doream. Am stat 2 luni pe insula Tioman, în Juara, Tekek, ABC, iar aceasta este singura cazare în care nu am avut fierbător/căni. Mai ales pentru prețul plătit, ne-am fi așteptat să existe, noroc că am stat doar 5 zile. ❌ Presiunea apei este extrem de slabă. Un duș durează foarte mult, chiar și la chiuvetă trebuie să aștepți minute bune pentru a te spăla pe mâini sau pe dinți. Din experiența noastră pe insulă, este prima dată când întâlnim o astfel de problemă. A fost un chin să faci duș, mai ales dacă vrei să te speli pe cap și ai părul lung, pregătește-te să stai o oră. ❌Nu există apă caldă, faci duș cu apă rece. ❌ Ventilatorul nu funcționează la viteza 3. Merge doar la 1 și 2, iar în zilele foarte călduroase acest lucru este o problemă reală. Camera devine un cuptor. ❌ Lipsă de atenție față de oaspeți. Nu ne-a întrebat nimeni dacă avem nevoie de ceva, nici măcar dacă mai avem hârtie igienică. ❌ Nu am primit ceai, cafea sau apă gratuită, nici măcar căni în cameră să beau un suc. În toate celelalte cazări în care am stat pe insula Tioman, inclusiv în Tekek, Juara și ABC, am primit astfel de lucruri, chiar și la cazări mult mai ieftine, de aproximativ 70–130 RM/noapte. Per total, nu recomand Ella’s Place, mai ales pentru un sejur mai lung. Vă recomand mai degrabă Tekek, Juara și ABC. Marea este superbă în toate aceste zone, iar noi am găsit cazări mai bune și mai ieftine în celelalte părți ale insulei. Pentru 2–3 zile poate fi acceptabil, dar pentru un sejur mai lung, aș alege cu siguranță altă cazare.

Alle sind super lieb und der Außenbereich ist ein Genuss zum absoluten herunterfahren. Frühstück ist lecker und preiswert.

Emplacement paradisiaque sur la plage dans un bel environnement fleuri et entretenu. Très facile de se déplacer à pieds tranquillement et bon snorkelling. Petit déjeuner de qualité.

La ubicación es perfecta, al lado de la playa. En una zona muy tranquila. Hay desayuno que va precio segun carta en la zona comun. Tienen servicio de recogida y organizan excursiones. El baño esta recien reformado.

No tiene aire acondicionado ni agua caliente, la ducha tenía muy poca presión. El colchón era un poco incomodo. El acceso a la playa era un poco incomodo, hay otros alojamientos que lo habian adaptado. Creo que podrian poner tumbonas o otras sillas para el disfrute de los huéspedes.

De ligging is perfect. Paar minuten buiten het dorp, heerlijk rustig. Super vriendelijke familie doe je van harte welkom heet. Leuke barretje om in de namiddag te genieten van de ondergaande zon.

Onze hut, nr. 13 is nog in de vintage backpack staat. Even wennen, maar dat past wel qeer bij de charme van Ella's place

Not super social area, a bit more expensive than other locations in the island but still really afforbable.

Todo. Cabaña sencilla en el paraiso. No tiene precio el poder despertarte y salir directamente a la playa a desayunar, o poder ver el atardecer desde la hamaca. En cuanto llegas te estan esperando con un moto-carro en el muelle para llevarte el equipaje hasta la puerta del alojamiento. Es un hotel familiar y eso se nota en el trato. Siguen existiendo pequeños trozos de paraiso como estos

Para que fuese perfecto me faltaria una pequeña cocina para calentar/cocinar algo rapido, pero nada que impida disfrutar del paraiso

Lækker placering med et virkelig behageligt og hjælpsomt personale. Gode muligheder for tidlig morgenmad og leje af udstyr som snorkel osv.

Værelset med udsigt til havet uden AC, var ikke tilfredsstillende da det var i virkelig dårlig stand og generelt snavset med pletter der lignet blod på gulvet.

Ella's place is a lovely place on salang beach. The coral reefs there are a marvel, make all the boat trips you can, it will be unforgetable.

Ella and her family were very helpful. We had the sea view room with air conditioning. It was clean and seemed to have been renovated recently. We really liked its location at the end of the beach. It was close enough to the restaurants and tour operators, but in a very quiet spot. They also organize tours. We took the Coral Island tour with them. The breakfast was very good. I definitly recommend this hotel.

The beach has many rocks at this end of Salang, but if you prefer a sandy beach, you can walk five to ten minutes.

Locatie lag zo aan zee en klein stukje lopen van t dorpje, waardoor t lekker rustig was ( geen herrie van muziek enzo). Ons huisje zat echt 1e rij aan t strand, fantastisch!

Practige locatie zo aan t strand, maar dat strandje mag wat beter bijgehouden worden. Her en der lagen plastic flessen ( zet een schoon water refill ding neer ofzo, dat scheelt flesafval). Helaas zag ik op meer plekken aan Salang beach dat afval opruimen niet altijd gebeurd

Fine værelser og nyre badeværelse. Ligger helt stille i udkanten af Salang. Super venligt personale. God morgenmad.

Man skal være opmærksom på, at der kan være sandfluer.

Fantastic location, stunning views, friendly host, big room, working aircon and hot water (it turned out that not all rooms had hot water available!)

The room just needs a little bit more TLC, wasnt perfectly clean and one of the walls needs fixing as it seems to be crumbling away.

Nice new room and clean bathroom. Good snorkeling to the left of the jetty. Saw turtles daily. Anga was super friendly and helpful

The rude and unwelcome feeling from Ella. She needs to go on a hospitality course desperately. Never greeted or acknowledged our presence. Late for breakfast and tried charging twice for the same meal. The beds have definitely seen better days so if you book out room best you arrange a visit to your local chiropractor. The springs have definitely sprung on these very uncomfortable mattresses. There are also too many cats on the island and filthy and abandoned buildings and non functional shops everywhere. Locals arrived on Friday and left the beach full of rubbish. No conservation in the marine park with daily fishing off the jetty. Dad as Kampung Salang is a beautiful place but so wouldn't return due to Ellas attitude. Time for her to stay in the background and let her husband Anga rin the place it was so much more pleasant without her for the first two days.

Prachtige locaties, het einde van de pier waardoor je niet de drukte/geluid van de stad had. Het dorpje is vrij klein waardoor je in een paar minuten naar het stadje zelf liep. We zijn heel vriendelijk ontvangen door het personeel

Een kleine verbetering zou een klamboe boven het bed zijn.

Vriendelijke mensen, goede prijs kwaliteit, lekker rustig. 5 tot 10 minuten lopen naar het centrum.

Super schöne Lage und das Frühstück auf der Terrasse ist sehr gut.

Das Zimmer war schon sehr einfach. Ein Mülleimer im Bad oder im Zimmer wäre schon schön.

Tout le personnel de l’hôtel est très sympathique. L’hôtel est à 5min à pied de la plage principale

Les chambres sont un peu petites avec peu d’espaces de rangement.

Its a cozy beachfront chalet. The family that manage the resort are very kind, and attentive, it makes the whole stay wholesome. Also as the resort at the end of the beach, its very quiet, cozy and tranquil. You could nap on the many swings by the beach at noon with the breeze.

The aircond chalet can be better and the chalet is 10 mins walk from nearest cafe but tioman is not for those who rushed. I enjoy the walk, and the family that manage the resort always offer to send us..

A perfect place to chill, unwind and beautiful beachfront views. 🥰 Bilik bersih Paling penting sekeliling chalet bersih dan tenang . Owner dan family pun baik sangat ii melayan kami and kids naik motor 😂. Amik sekali trip snorkelling & berkayak. Tekong bot sangat friendly dia layan je kita and kids.. Not much to complain about. Just a small suggestion for improvement. it would be great if the chalet could provide a few more facilities such as extra cups/mugs, mineral and an electric kettle for guests’ convenience..Tapi okay je sebab ada sediakan air panas tapi kena datang amik dekat reception. Other than that, everything was good and we enjoyed our stay.

La vue est belle, les hamacs sont nombreux, le personnel sympa et serviable, service de navette pour les bagages.

La propreté et sécurité des abords laisse à désirer. Il y a des déchets et autre tas de ferraille autour des hébergements, je trouve ça très moyen pour le prix sur l’île. Notre logement était plus que vétuste, alors que d’autre était bien plus moderne et libre pour le même tarif. Je pense qu’il ne faut pas hésiter à demander un autre logement si possible.

If you’re looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you – it’s in a very quiet spot and Ella’s whole family are really welcoming, friendly and relaxed. We tried several breakfast options – all of them were great and super affordable. It’s a brilliant spot for snorkelling – right on the doorstep. But you can also book some excursions. At first, I had the cheapest room category – it was a clean, though very basic room with just a fan. I’d underestimated the climate, so I ended up switching to a room with air conditioning. This one was just as clean, but a bit more comfortable. All in all, it was a wonderful and very relaxing stay.

very sweet and friendly people who made our stay at tioman island very enjoyable! we got picked up from the ferry, and the staff were really accommodating during our stay. the location was gorgeous and out of the "hustle and bustle" of the rest of the village (even though it was very quiet and relaxed in general). the kitties are a nice bonus as well :)

no hot water but that is not necessarily needed considering the very hot and humid weather. did see a cockroach but that also is expected considering the climate.

Домик-шале прямо на пляже, вид прекрасный. Хозяева замечательные - Элла, ее славный муж, бабушка, все просто прелесть. Шале отличное, с вентилятором было очень комфортно (таймер, регулировка мощности), санузел большой. На веранде было здорово загорать и тискать котиков. Писали, что пляж перед отелем некупабельный - это не так, вполне можно купаться и плавать с маской. Брали снорк-экскурсию Coral, очень понравилось. Изучили заброшенный отель, прошли хайкинг до Monkey bay (непросто, много подьемов и спусков по скользкому грунту - в лесу тень, он не высыхает). Рекомендуем взять телефончик, чтобы вызвать водное такси доя возвращения. На Саланге спиртное не продается - единственный вариант, это холодное пиво у Джимми, на дальнем конце пляжа есть указатель сразу после арки Salang Sayang). Если любите котов, как мы - привезите сухого корма, котов реально десятки, их все подкармливают. На противоположном конце пляжа (у заброшенного отеля) есть сэндфлаи, нас здорово покусали. Лучше там не раздеваться и не лежать на песке (а купание и снорк отличные). Ella’s Place отлично расположен, удален от шумного центра пляжа. Обезьянки, вараны - увидели столько живности. Очень довольны поездкой и рекомендуем этот семейный отельчик.

The location is absolutely stunning. There's a beautiful beach with bright blue warm water. Breakfast is cheap and solid.

On the off season, it's hard to get food on the island. The beds and especially the pillows are in need of improvement. Same with the towels. We did not get enough toilet paper or soap. There's also no hand soap.

Niets extra nog geen glas op de kamer. Kunststof beddengoed . Veel dingen kapot afgebladderde muur . Een hele felle lamp aan plafond. Afvoer wastafel liep regelrecht in de badkamer.

Ellas jüngerer Bruder betreibt die „Bar“ und den Verleih der Schnorchelausrüstung. Er hat Auch den Transport zum Hafen, früh um 6, für uns geklärt. Terima kashi teman.

Les personnes sur place sont tout simplement adorables, très souriants et accueillants, ils font en sorte que la magie se crée durant les jours passés sur place. Le paysage est magnifique, un vrai petit paradis.

L'emplacement près du centre mais au calme, plage magnifique, snorkling juste en face avec plein de coraux et l’accueil au top d'Ella et de toute sa famille !! Bon petit déjeuner et bungalow vu mer parfait ! On recommande !

Ellas Eltern sind ganz liebevoll, sie produzieren ihren eigenen Honig. Die ganze Familie von klein bis groß sind ganz herzlich und total entspannt. Es gibt verschiedene Frühstücksoptionen und die Pancakes sind immer auf dem Punkt.

L’emplacement juste au bord de l’eau, le personnel était incroyable, ils étaient disponibles toute la journée. Le snorkeling et les taxi boat étaient top.

Really nice place in great location. Ella, the owner, is very helpful in all kinds of questions. Great views, cozy place, everyone is kind. You will enjoy the place!

We absolutely loved the vibe! The sea view room was fantastic, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had some issues with our credit card and the ATM, but the staff were very helpful and supported us, which we really appreciated. All of the staff were relaxed, friendly, and flexible. We’re already missing our time at Ella’s place. Thank you!!! 🥰

Breakfast is very good and super affordable. Ella’s family was very nice and helpful. The beach in front of the house has some rocks but the view is beautiful. Overall Salang is very worth visiting, we loved it.
