Reviewed Jul 19, 2026Location was excellent, our room although a bit on the small size was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Dave and his was wife were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our two breakfasts were the best during our two weeks in Nova Scotia; very fresh fruit and an amazing vegetarian frittata with the meats on the side, then fantastic blueberry pancakes the second morning. We give Bryson's Bed and Breakfast our highest possible recommendation. You will not be disappointed.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Beautiful home in a wonderfully picturesque spot. Dave was a fabulous host and we enjoyed the communal lounge area and the great breakfast.
The bedrooms are a little snug and close together. Our bed was a little squeaky and we would have liked it to have been a little more comfortable.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026What a gem of a place, booked very last minute as we hadn't decided how far we wanted to travel, was very pleased we decided to stay. Very relaxed atmosphere, hosts were friendly and informative, loved the lounge area, so nice to have somewhere to chill out, excellent breakfast and loved the hooks and magnet in the bathroom!!!

Reviewed Oct 21, 2025I loved this b and b! It was beautifully decorated and well presented. It was so comfortable, I wished I could have packed it up and taken it home with me! The host was very personable, very easy to talk to and provided an appetising breakfast. You had access to coffee and tea making facilities and a wide range of TV channels. I would highly recommend this b and b!

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Wir haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt – fast so, als wären wir nach Hause gekommen. Unser Zimmer war makellos sauber und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet. Besonders die große Veranda lädt dazu ein, die wunderschöne Aussicht in vollen Zügen zu genießen. Das Frühstück war reichlich, abwechslungsreich und ein perfekter Start in den Tag. Unser Gastgeber war äußerst freundlich und versorgte uns mit wertvollen Tipps zu empfehlenswerten Restaurants, Aktivitäten im Ort und nützlichen Hinweisen für unsere Weiterreise auf dem Cabot Trail. Insgesamt eine Unterkunft, die wir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können.
Mir fällt nichts ein... ausser, dass wir nicht länger bleiben konnten.

Straight off the highway & an easy down hill walk into Baddeck….obviously uphill on the return, but nothing testing. Parking onsite was good. The room was smaller than we would have preferred, but as described. The owners are very friendly & accommodating.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025Dave ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage des B&B ist sehr schön, da man vom Frühstücksraum auf den See schauen kann. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, die Zimmer sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber.
Mein Zimmer war doch recht klein, für zwei Personen wäre es daher sehr beengt gewesen. Das B&B ist sehr hellhörig, so habe ich den Zimmernachbarn schnarchen hören, was das Einschlafen sehr erschwert hat.

Reviewed Nov 21, 2024Dave and Cyndy were very gracious hosts. We especially enjoyed the Friday night bonfire and the opportunity to meet some of their neighbors. We laughed so hard that evening while sharing so many jokes and stories. The room we stayed in was comfortable and extremely clean. The breakfast was also wonderful with a number of options to choose from.

Reviewed Sep 19, 2024This is a lovely bed and breakfast with a very helpful and informative host and a wonderful breakfast complete with blueberry pancakes. We especially enjoyed the close location to town so that we could walk there and explore the beautiful waterfront. There were very nice common areas in which to hang out, and we enjoyed the big outdoor porch overlooking the lake, where we ate our breakfast.
The room we stayed in was very clean and had everything we needed although we could hear our neighbors next-door through the walls and both the room itself and the bathroom were quite small, with the bed taking up the majority of space in the room.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2024This place is excellent! Lovely B and B with a great room and excellent private bathroom. The place is nice and quiet and has a huge deck to take in the amazing view of the water. The breakfast was very good and had more than I could possibly eat. The owners are very nice and friendly and made us feel welcome. I definitely wish I had more time in the Bedeck area and if I did I would definitely stay here. The common area is spacious and well stocked with books, movies and games if they day happens to be rainy and there's not much to do outside. The place is not hard to find and is just outside of the small town ( 1-2 mins drive ) so it is very convenient for food, laundry or grocery store.
Honestly, I don't think there's anything that I didn't like at all.

Bryson and family were very welcoming and provided local recommendations relating to restaurants, hikes, beaches, and travel around cape breton. The breakfast was also great, with cereal and fresh fruit options, as well as a hot breakfast option. Bryson was extremely accommodating.

We enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck, especially enjoying the plentiful breakfasts. The local sausages and homemade blueberry pancakes were our favorites. David was such a wonderful and accommodating host....the East Coast way!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Reviewed Jul 15, 2024What a find! This property in Baddeck is fantastic on so many levels. The owners are fab and give so freely of their time. The facilities are great, and the breakfast/ communal lounge area is beautiful. Situated overlooking the lake just a short walk to restaurants and the harbour. We stayed 3 nights but would have loved to stay longer.
There were no negatives. This is without doubt one of the very best properties we have stayed in.

The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. David made a hearty breakfast quiche every day. The last day was blueberry pancakes. David is a very congenial host.
