Facilities
Cleanness/no hot water/ promises with no action
I really enjoyed the overall experience. The location was excellent, with a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the stay. The amenities were also impressive, with excellent facilities and plenty of options to relax and enjoy. The food was outstanding, with a great variety and excellent taste. I particularly enjoyed the entertainment and activities, especially the zipline, which added a fun and adventurous element to the stay. The spa centre was another highlight and provided a wonderful opportunity to unwind and rejuvenate. Overall, the combination of the beautiful location, courteous staff, excellent food, great amenities, exciting activities, and relaxing spa experience made the stay truly memorable.
Overall superb
Each and every staff member was very polite. The location is very good and the food was amazing.
Wi-Fi connectivity. No car parking. This is the major con they will have to resolve.
The location is near to the various places. Accessibility is too good. The property is maintained very good. The staffs are very curtious and humble.
The food needs to be improved a lot. Need to include varieties of Kerala dishes. In breakfast, some sweets to be added. Vegetarian food options to be given a little care. South Indian food varieties to be included in dinner also.
The location was great! Great for families and kids! Lot of activities. Property was is good built and properly landscaped. Staff were so great and helpful.
Rooms are outdated and built quality is not good! Not in a 5 star condition. Restaurant is only available on particular timing. No 24x7 room dinning available. No deliveries also.
Location. Enjoyed the nature and early mornings were full of Malabar whistling thrush!
We stayed in room with private pool maintenance of pool was poor
Breakfast was excellent and the ambiance was good.
Gym facility and Reception should have AC in summers
Lovely villa in a quiet location, food was good but expensive.
Building work was happening whilst we were there which was quite noisy as it was generally very peaceful. The location is quite far from anything so had a lot of long tuk tuk drives. No alcohol is available on site.
Great room, facilities, and spa - Views were great, booking tours was very easy, and the service was great.
Location is amazing Food in the restaurant was superb and Asqib was very good
The whole resort is tired and there’s an awful smell
Amazing property and location
Food can be improved and service too. After complaining and reminding 3 times also they didn’t change bedsheets as they were very rough. So even though the room was so big , luxurious, couldn’t sleep properly.
Breakfast was very average. The location on steeply sloped ground made us totally dependent on a buggy to move about.
Not much of facilities,
Location
Food, extra charges for Gala dinner which we didn’t want to join as we are pure vegetarian and they had all the non veg options except 2-3 vegetarian options, but as everything was kept at one place no bifurcation between veg and non veg, we could not eat it, and we were forced to pay 1500 for each person. Which summed upto 7500 for us. Didn’t like the food in general, the cleanliness was 0.
Only the location of the property was amazing. Nothing else was great.
The rooms too small for the price they charge. Staff not trained at all. Even after u ask them something 10 Times they say just no.
Location, ambience, food
Nice cottages and great views. Super friendly staff. The food was very tasty too. My highlight of the stay was the yoga session with Suneesh which was organised especially when the regular sessions weren’t on.
I would maybe rate it a 4* hotel rather than 5. Some of the interior are a bit dated…
Food not good
Their facilities and hospitality is appreciated
Room 303, jaccocie bath dub
We really enjoyed the location and the hospitality of the staff and food was fantastic.
We recently stayed at your resort and, while we appreciated the hospitality and location, we were very disappointed with the condition of the bathroom in our room. There was visible fungal growth across several areas, and the air felt damp and unhealthy. We could feel the effect in our breathing. We understand that this is a humid region, but that makes proper cleaning and ventilation even more important. The current state fell far below expectations and did not reflect the overall quality of the rest of the resort. Please see the pictures we have taken, which clearly show the extent of the problem. A thorough professional cleaning and an improvement in airflow would make a significant difference for future guests. In addition, the Wi-Fi did not work at all during our stay. Even after being told it was restored after three days, we did not experience any change. Given the discomfort caused, particularly by the bathroom condition, we believe a partial refund or another form of compensation would be fair and appropriate. We are sharing this feedback in good faith, hoping it helps maintain the high standard expected from your property.
The location is beautiful and has so much potential. The staff are lovely, friendly, and always happy to help. The property is clean and comfortable with a lovely pool area — a great place to relax.
However, there were a few areas that really need improvement. We came here to unwind at the end of our trip to India, with plans to do yoga and enjoy some spa treatments. Unfortunately, the yoga sessions were only available when it wasn’t raining, and since it drizzled most days, none took place. I booked a full body massage and body wrap, but the experience was quite uncomfortable. There was no real massage — oil was simply rubbed in repeatedly, and during the wrap I was left uncovered, cold, and uncomfortable for about half an hour. My friend’s back and head massage wasn’t much better. It didn’t feel like the staff were qualified therapists, which is concerning for a spa offering these services. We also had maintenance and housekeeping issues: the shower drain was blocked and flooded, and we had to ask for our sheets to be changed as they were quite worn. The food was hit and miss — some meals were nice, but others disappointing. On our first night, rice was missed from our order, and when we requested boneless chicken, it arrived dry, chewy, and still with bones. When we mentioned this, the response wasn’t particularly helpful. This place really does have charm and potential, but it needs better training for spa staff, more consistent food quality, and some attention to maintenance and housekeeping to reach the standard it could easily achieve.
Mountain view. Romantic touch request flower decorations and a cake was accommodated but it could be more eye catching. Special arrangements for candlelight dinner arrangements, but it could be more interesting with arrangements of some soft music for the romantic ambience.
1. No Honeymoon Cottage Available: I specifically asked for a room with both a private pool and mountain view, ideally suited for a honeymoon. The resort replied that they do not have honeymoon cottages, which is disappointing given my intent to celebrate a special occasion. 2. No local transportation services from the resort. 3. Spa wasn't up to the mark, it was small not so well maintained. 4. Room arrangement poor, curtain not settled privacy compromising.
Our stay at Eden Woods, Munnar was absolutely superb! The cottages were beautifully designed and offered a perfect blend of comfort and nature. The view of the tree house with the sharp stream flowing below was simply heavenly. One of the highlights was taking a dip in the infinity pool, with the backdrop of rolling hills and the stream—it was a magical experience. The breakfast spread was sumptuous, fresh, and a great start to each day. Overall, Eden Woods gave us the perfect mix of relaxation and scenic beauty. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Munnar at its finest!
It has great ambiance.
All is excellent.
Everything.
this is an excellent resort to stay for families. We were 6 adults and 2 infants, we stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location of the resort is awesome, outside Munnar (and hence away from the crowds), near the river. The resort is relatively new and hence the amenities and infrastructure is quite clean and in-order. The layout also ensures each room gets a great view. The restaurant is very good, the breakfast buffet was excellent and even the dinner was great. The best part about the hotel is the staff, they are very friendly, prompt and willing to help with anything. We would recommend Eden Woods whole hardheartedly.
Some of the bathroom fittings, especially the toilet seemed cheap, could have been better.
There was a warm welcome, staff were polite, like the tree house, pool and jacuzzi.
WiFi was terrible. We didn’t get the signal at all. Even the staffs weren’t doing much about it when we reported it to them. Thankfully we had mobile data. Someone working remotely at the property may not be happy with WiFi. The view also isn’t that great as the altitude of the property isn’t that much.
The location is beautiful, the staff is courteous.
The high tea can have few snack choices, the pool timings should be extended to late night where one can relax after a long day of sightseeing.
Everything
Nothing
friendly support staff, service, breakfast with multiple options, peaceful location and clean rooms
need more playing equipment's and playing areas for kids to engaged them within the property, as there are limited opportunities for kids engagements in near vicinity, its tough to manage kids if there is nothing interesting for kids to play. second point is to include more dishes/varieties in their menu, as its very limited for customers to choose, nearby vicinity doesn't have any restaurants for travelers to explore
A beautiful, isolated setting, overlooking a river, mountain allowing for the beautiful sounds and views of nature. Friendly, young staff, good selection of food. Goodish location for treks and tours - seek out Munnar.info in advance.
The permanent ‘relaxing’ garden music from 8.00 am which drowns out the natural sounds. It was one piano track on a loop. I am told by the manager that this has been amended. Not a dislike but it was the wrong choice of hotel for our group which was more interested in going out and exploring. Eden Resort is aimed more at those who are happy to stay and chill for a few days enjoying the resort’s facilities.
Good breakfast. They had a wide spread. The restuarant is situated in an amazing setting. All staff members are very friendly and take care of your needs.
Bed linen needs replacement. May be due to constant washing it has lost its softness.
The staff is friendly and the property is at amazing location the service is amazing. Special thanks to Ms Sneha and Mr Amal for their warm and amazing hosting service. The property is located in the middle of mountains and a river flowing by which take you away from the hustle and noise of the fast city life 😊
I like location and view regarding to room. The view is amazing as well as I like room that I booked it is very precious and has amazing river mountains view from gallery n they provide precious and different room for jacuzzi. Nature surrounding this property is amazing n definitely make it to you relaxing
No issues at all still little bit improvements in dine n food is necessary but definitely they will improve that much
Beautiful property with nice ambience and hospitality. Value for money.
Limited food options
Beautiful location with great mountain and river views, room was very comfortable. Staff were all very hospitable and knowledgeable on the local region. Restaurant was good with a very good breakfast selection.
Not much however the services at the spa were not the best, we had a massage each which were just ok.
Suresh and team were very helpful through out the stay. Arranged for all day taxi, airport pickup/drop without even me asking💯👋
The reception looks shabby and too cringe for a 5star hotel, the staff is too confusing on charges and wrongly charged me. The f&b manager had no clue or smoking area as a 5star hotel. The slopes are too steep for walking of elderly and sensitive people with heart and lung issues so better avoid this hotel it the case.
Location, rooms,Food,Swimming pool,Staffs, camp fire and all good in this Resort.
The surroundings
Food Services Amenities
Stay and location was good
The views and various seating areas around the property were lovely. The room size is good. The gift on check out was a nice touch. The buggies to transport people around the property were very good as the property is quite steep.
Very little information was given about things to do in the surrounding area when checking in and it was hard to ask about it. The staff didn’t speak much English, so if that’s the only language you can speak it might be quite hard, we rang reception several times and did not receive what we asked for or were told we would be called back and weren’t. The food was quite hit or miss, it made us a bit sick and unfortunately there isn’t any other easily accessible restaurants from the property so keep that in mind if you’re booking a longer stay. We had a few issues with cleanliness, our room clearly hadn’t been cleaned very well as there was still rubbish on the carpet, the pool area also had a dirty nappy, lots of towels and peoples clothing drying over the seats so there wasn’t anywhere to sit. The room had quite a bit of mould in it so keep that in mind if you have health issues.
Very good service and food Excellent location
Massage, view, food, welcome gesture and checkout gesture, services
View
Breakfast, very bad,not on time, horrible food. Took the room service for dinner inedible.
Very bad breakfast, not on time for both days, haded to wait for each items
Better food and breakfast, proper buffet service on time
This hotel is wonderful, it's a new hotel so you can see there are still a few teething items as they get used to the swing of things. The welcome was lovely and check in was easy, there are buggies that take you around the hotel itself as it has some steep walks, these are available whenever you need them. The views are lovely in this area and pool looks over the hills which is beautiful. The restaurant is also great, and a wonderful choice at breakfast. We even watched a cooking demonstration and got to eat the food after, which was a fun unique experience. The service is impeccable people really want to help you.
As its a new hotel it is still finding its feet. A few times I was confused about some of the services available so it would be good to have more information about the services and options available like the cooking demonstration. It's on their website but not in a welcome book for example. There are lovely things like yoga, meditation, rain dance and others but didnt know where to get the information and so had to ask reception and it still wasn't clear.
Superb location facing a river and lush mountains. The garden is beautiful and well maintained.
I'm afraid the hotel is not aligned with 5-star standards: no toilet paper in the room, no hot water, continuous works and drilling at early hours, uncleanliness (we found a pair of old socks underneath the bed), laundry service was just not good with dark clothes dyed out, very long check out...
The view and the pool. We had a New Year’s Eve party which was exceptional and all provided for.
When we arrived our room was not ready even though it was 4pm. They refused us room service because we had missed lunch. There were plates and cups and rubbish outside our room.
Really great location in beautiful surroundings. The staff will bend over backwards for you. They are probably the best thing about this place. The food is delicious and varied. Amazing facilities (really enjoyed my massage). Comfortable beds.
As a new property, the resort has some building works going on. As does the road approaching it. Occasionally there is ambient music piped through speakers around the resort, which isn’t really needed given the peaceful sounds of nature all around. FYI - no alcohol served in the restaurant but you can bring your own.
Beautiful and clean
The road to the property was under construction and not well marked
This place is a hidden gem within the mountains, if you are looking for a peaceful, mind refreshing getaway away from the bustling cities, this is the perfect place for you. Jaw dropping scenery surrounds the place where ever you look, the Hotel is made up of two story villas which are two seperate rooms that perfectly blends with the hill which it sits on, to make your stay even better is the warm hospitality from the friendly staff and the best part for me is the ayurvedic spa and the food which I would describe as pure delicacy, and the espresso is made from local grown beans and is one of the best coffee I've had, would definitely comeback and recommend who ever is looking for a mindful and memorable getaway.
