Beautiful, bespoke room. Different to the usual standard hotel rooms. And the breakfast was excellent! Staff were extremely helpful as I have particular needs. They made everything very easy which was much appreciated.

Mmm, nothing comes to mind. It’s a small, tight car park but I got a space both nights.

Nice small hotel. Fulfils all requirements. Front desk, Mr Nagi & all other staffs were very helpful & smiling.

The staff were all lovely, very helpful and friendly The rooms were fantastic, I was lucky enough to view 3 rooms and they were all unique. The attention to detail was incredible. I usually stay in big name hotels, that are cold with no personality, in future when I visit my son I will be staying here..

Very quiet room and I liked the location with the pub downstairs for a drink or meal.

Too many stairs to the room without an offer to take bags up. Overall very expensive for the quality and size of the room and level and service.

Location There are some nice touches in the room ie: a well stocked mini bar / hairdryer/ iron/ comfortable bed and nice bed linen / nice toiletries although they were part used.

No attention to to detail. The room was in need of refreshing, particularly the bathroom which wasn’t clean enough. The public areas are in need of refreshing ie paintwork, carpets etc. The staff need training. The outside areas are untidy.

Everything about this hotel was great, from checking in and out, the location, the friendliness of all the staff, the breakfast offering, the room itself was fantastic. Loved it all!

Being uber critical the carpets going through the stairs could do with an upgrade.

Very pleasant helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Dinner was variable. Mondays very short on several dishes but Tuesday very good. Location is handy for relatives nearby and Kingston.

Rooms and areas look tired now. Probably decorated 8-10years ago and carpets, paintwork etc needs a refresh. A little noisy but maybe that was just location of our room (16) being near stairwell. Mattress was very hard for us and bed was king which for £250/n id expect super king (guess that’s only where in can practically fit in a room). Overall just didn’t quite feel like the price point matched the feel

Stairwell not very clean or fresh. Wi Fi very inadequate staff gave an alternative one which was marginally better but still not great

windmill on the common is a great place to stay when visiting London, short walk to tube to get to central london, 20 minute walk to Clapham Junction junction to get to Hampton Court Room lovely everything you needed, Air Con was a great help Couldn't hear the pub at all when in our room

This is a tiny moan, we were on ground floor so could hear people coming in later on and the staff on reception but this wasn't for long and wouldn't say isn't an issue 5/10 mins walk either way to a tube station, walked on main road at night rather than walking on common as felt safer

Room was comfortable, was grateful to have the aircon unit as it was a heatwave. We left it off when we left the room but the kind cleaning staff turned it back on after cleaning so we came back to a cool room - very thoughtful.

Our room was very close to the main pub and especially the ladies toilets so it was very loud in the evenings until 11pm (unless England were playing - then it was later!)

Only thing to mark down was the shower in room, really needed replacing, as did not close properly and sealant was all black and mouldy.

This was my second time staying at The Windmill. It is a charming hotel, well located for tubes or buses into central London. Sitting on Clapham Common makes it feel extra special. The rooms also have good air conditioning which was divine in this summer heat. The beds are very comfy and lots of goodies are provided in the room.

In the room I was in this time there wasn’t a mirror near enough to a socket for hairstyling.

Generally run down. Not well kept. Stairways, corridors scruffy. Room superficially clean, but again run down.

The breakfast was good and I had a couple of dinners there, fun place. I met some friends there and we had drinks and dinner

There really was nothing that I didn't like. For me, the location was just fine (I had a friend staying with her brother nearby) but for some, it was a bit far from London

We loved our stay at the Windmill. It’s a friendly clean and homely place well positioned in the park and easy access to all shops restaurants and transport. We stayed here instead of central London to be close to family and found it perfect for relaxing out of the busyness of central London.

The rooms are lovely but some updating of the corridors in the old part is needed.

My go to place. An oasis of calm with wonderful staff

Beautiful hotel, lovely room and very comfortable bed, overlooking Clapham Common, there were so many drink choices, snacks, beautiful glassware even champagne glasses and oat milk for my sister was much appreciated. Excellent breakfast and very convenient to Wimbledon where we enjoyed the tennis.

Most things were as expected. Lack of usb ports in room.

Shower head in room was filthy and the cold water supply did not work...extremely irritating considering the room cost.

Great location and having parking facilities is also great. Very dog friendly and staff are always very nice. The pub/restaurant has a nice vibe and overall good value.

The rooms could use a little TLC and a bit of a more thorough clean. Some bad spots in the bath tub and dust etc. Not a day ruiner just a note.

Always stay at The Windmill. Everything you could need available. Location is brilliant.

It’s convenient for visiting friends in the area. Good breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. Love the decor of the rooms.

I’ve stayed here a couples times. This last time the room was not well cleaned. Quite dusty. Also, they missed cleaning my room one day whilst I was there.

Staff were great. Food in the bar was lovely. Location is fantastic.

Room was situated looking over both outside areas. The music was loud and stopped at approx 11.15pm, which was not great considering I had to be up for work at 4.15am. The mattress was quite uncomfortable because it falls away on the edge of the bed. I stayed before overlooking the rear car park which was quiet and very comfortable.

The agreement was for 470€ when the 407sterling was converted to Euro it was 487.50€. Totally misleading from both Booking .command the Hotel itself.The Hotel staff were rude and were totally disrespectful

Amazing location! Great atmosphere if you like a young social vibe. Good communication before arrival. Easy parking - although not guaranteed there was plenty of space .

Not particularly attentive to hotel guests as very busy as a pub venue especially during warm weather. Some staff could be quite ‘off’ bordering on rude like they didn’t really want to be there and do the job they were being paid to do. Although there were some lovely staff, really trying their best. Bathrooms had lots of black mould in between the tiles and along sealant. This could be solved SO quickly and easily.

Comfortable great location

Staff were very nice and professional. Extremely helpful. The bed was very comfortable. It was pretty quiet even though I was on the ground floor and the bed linen was a good quality cotton.

The shower enclosure tiling had failed and the shower water was escaping behind the shower wall. This damp was affecting the floor finishes and creeping up the door frame. There was a very strong smell of damp as you approach rooms 7 to 14 and it would seem similar problems are being felt in the other rooms on this corridor. It should be a quick fix to secure the loose shower enclosure tile to allow the subfloor and wood frames to dry out and reduce the smell. The extractor was also not operating. Struggled with the Sky TV that worked intermittently in my room.

Location was great! The bar and restaurant was very good. Service was very good.

Bedrooms need some TLC. Carpets are well worn and curtains need repair. Otherwise very comfortable and well serviced

Faceva piuttosto freddo in bagno, non si riesce ad accendere il termosifone elettrico presente. Molto scomode le 4 rampe di scale ripide per raggiungere la camera con una valigia pesante.

Perfect location, on the green and really quiet room Staff accommodating with luggage storage and even let me check in a little early as my room was ready. Didn’t book breakfast but ended up having it. Was amazing, and very reasonable considering all that was included in the price. Definitely would recommend !

5th time staying here . Its location is great for getting around London . The rooms are comfy , clean and beds are made daily . Breakfasts are lovely as is the food in the restaurant . The Windmill has such a friendly atmosphere and if you love dogs you will be in your element as many people call in for a drink whilst walking their dogs . Parking is a bonus as we always drive down and leave the car .

Not much to dislike as we’ve stayed often and will be back.

Charmig och bekväm pub intill Clapham Common. Trevligt rum med vacker inredning och skön säng! Mysigt frukostrum med prisvärd frukost (för att vara i London). Och trots att det var mycket folk på puben varje kväll hördes ingenting på vårt rum.

Den enda nackdelen att vi upptäckte att det var ganska lyhört när några flyttade in i rummet bredvid den sista kvällen.

Very warm welcome on arrival with a very helpful receptionist, Lovely historic pub in a great setting with character and quirky decor touches. Well stocked hospitality tray. Clean room with very comfy bed , pillows and good bed linen. Good quality toiletries in the bathroom. Had a wonderful lunch with 5 friends and a superbly cooked evening meal with another friend. Service by an experienced Waitress called Lisa who was very professional, efficient and exceptionally personable. One of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever had in a hotel with first class produce.

Kamer was sfeervol en van alle gemakken voorzien. Prettig om de auto op het terrein te parkeren. Ligging uitstekend t.o.v. openbaar vervoer. The pub was gezellig en had een goede menukaart. Aardig personeel. Kamers aan achterkant zijn stil.

Kamers voorkant horen het terras van de pub. Deze gaat om 23 uur dicht.

It was very reasonably priced, great location, fun bar, great breakfast, comfy rooms.

Dinner menu isn’t very good.

The location and the warmth and kindness of the staff at reception. Rose in particular was really helpful and graceful with us. Shower was excellent. Coffee delicious. Room quiet.

Perhaps the room could do with a refit. The carpet was old and stained. The fridge was so full of drinks, you could not put anything in it.

Lovely, clean and cosy rooms. Loved that it was inside a pub, which was handy for grabbing food/a drink but also so so quiet in the room that you wouldn't even know it was a pub. The location was great too
