Lovely room. Restaurant food lovely Nice pools. Great waterslide. When we arrived we felt like we were in a theme park. Bright colours. Busy. But we came to love it. Great walk around the coastline as well.

A bit of a walk up a hill to get there as taxis can’t always get street access. Not a great fan of wearing a wristband for duration of stay.

A great location for Cat Ba town which is in its own little bay - a lovely location for a hotel with two great pools and two swimming beaches within a short walk. The restaurant food was great and reasonable value as well.

All was good with the staff food facilities and location. Some of the reviews include complaints about handing over passports and security - the security staff were friendly and did their jobs from our perspective and it was no big deal handing over the passports - when we needed them to book flights we got them back - no issues. Nothing we didn’t like about staying in this hotel.

Superbe établissement au calme, nous entendions la mer de notre lit… Deux piscines au top, bonne literie chambre impeccable vue sur la mer et les îlot ... Petit déjeuner varié, un spa était également compris dans le prix de notre chambre avec accès à une petite piscine d'eau chaude et un sauna, bienvenue puisque notre dernier jour il ne faisait pas très chaud il pleuvait😊

Dit hotel ligt heerlijk buiten de drukte (er wordt veel gebouwd) maar toch dichtbij het stadje.

Die Reinigung im Zimmer war echt nicht gut, gerade das Bad für 5 Sterne echt schlecht. Frühstück könne etwas mehr vegetarische Dinge beinhalten.

Superbe établissement bien entretenu. Le spa était vraiment appréciable. Le petit déjeuner est très riche, varié et complet. Le personnel est arrangeant et à l’écoute.

L accueil à la réception . La personne est très antipathique, parle très mal l anglais, nullement serviable. Elle n est intéressée que par le paiement ! You pay, you pay and you pay. D autre part ils gardent les passeports jusqu au départ alors qu il est usagé maintenant que les hôtels fassent des,photocopies et restituent les passeports. Aucune vie dans cet établissement. Très austère. Très contrôlé. Les gardiens portent un uniforme militaire. Ambiance très décevante . Plus l impression d une prison que d un hôtel

Near the beach

It is very hard to communicate since they don't speak English. Since there were few people they canceled the buffet breakfast and we had very limited options

Tout était parfait

Très agréable hôtel en bordure de plage, avec grand jardin, deux piscines, un sauna/hammam que nous avons particulièrement apprécié tous les jours. Très belle suite junior avec vue mer et balcon, excellente literie, nous avons très bien dormi. Très bon restaurant asiatique aux prix abordables, où nous avons diné tous les jours sans sortir du resort. Personnel serviable, la communication est parfois un peu compliquée avec ceux qui ne parlent que vietnamien... Proximité de Cat ba city, où l'on organise facilement diverses excursions (île aux singes, village de pêcheurs, mini-croisière en baie de Lan Ha, etc.) Très peu de touristes en janvier, à conseiller si on recherche le calme.

Les suites sont en face de l'ascenseur, un peu bruyant.

Beautiful location. Our deluxe suite was very nice too. The breakfast was OK with plenty of options. The grounds and pools were really good as well.

The on-site restaurant was a bad experience. 3 of the 4 meals were well below par. One could not be eaten, due to the very odd taste. My wife probably escaped food poisoning there by not eating her meal, after tasting it she left it but still ended up queasy for a day or 2. And our bottle of wine was off. Not sure how much of a connoisseur our young waiter was, but he persisted it was fine after half a dozen sips and reading the wine label, so we told him he could have it, on the house. Also, my wife and girls got there nails done in the spa there. Very poor job.

Prachtige plek aan de baai, alles is er, schoon en mooie kamers. Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel en een fantastische uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. We hebben 2 dag extra bijgeboekt. Ook het gebruik maken van de sauna maakt het compleet! Ook een opgang naar het strand en 2 zwembaden zijn erg goed. Heerlijk om je onder te dompelen in dit resort

Eigenlijk niets, matrassen hadden iets zachter gemogen maar dat is een persoonlijke voorkeur.

This is definitely one of the best hotels on the island. Friendliness of personal, location a bit away from the crowds, but in walking distance to town and NOT a giant structure. In particular the restaurant staff is super, even providing some goodies for longer staying guests. The beach access is not particularly good, but a few steps via the staircase to Flamingo Hotel provides you with a small beach or in the opposite direction via the rock path to a larger beach.

La seule chose que nous n’avons pas aimé étaient les musiques de Noël qui était constamment en boucle et qu’on entendait jusqu’à notre chambre. Cela aurait été plaisant d’avoir plus de variété. Toujours les mêmes musiques en boucle c’était un peu agaçant mais rien de mal

Our room and facilities were fantastic - the location is convenient to cat ba town yet distant enough to feel like the quiet. The Onsen facilities were exceptional. Breakfast was varied and tasty.

There could be a few more instructions about Onsen as the staff were regularly turning off the spa when we were still there

Location was good …..on a quiet part of the island

Grossly overrated and overpriced. Staff had very poor communication skills with little or no english. Restaurant staff rarely took the initiative to approach the resident always the other way around and never followed up. Food very average for either breakfast lunch or dinner. Most annoying was the same monotonous piano music track played at every meal time. You became brain dead after 3 days.

All great. I would repeat 1.000 times this hotel.

The beach is non existent when it's high tide. The breakfast could be better - even no coffee machine.

Resort is nice, rooms are very comfortable with good & well maintained amenities . Views of ocean were spectacular. The staff is also very nice.

Tolle Lage, sehr freundliches Personal vom Zimmermädchen bis zum Spapersonal. Resorthotel, das man nach einer aufregenden Reise durch Vietnam zum Reisabschluss zum Ausspannen nur empfehlen kann.

The pools and beach, also.a great room with wonderful views. The Spa is also very nice and relaxing. Don't be put off by people saying Cat Ba is a building site. There is indeed a huge development being built in the old harbour of the town, but this hotel is around the headland and has its own beach. It is unaffected by the noise and dust, but you can walk into Cat Ba town in a few minutes where there are plenty of restaurants and good nightlife options. So do come.to Cat Ba and this hotel is a truly relaxing resort.

More fresh juices at breakfast would be good, but otherwise breakfast was fine.

Das Hotel liegt in ruhiger Lage direkt am Strand. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer mit Meerblick und Balkon war ein Traum. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und reichhaltig. Über das persönlich überbrachte ‚Betthupferl’ in Form von kleinen Kuchen haben wir uns besonders gefreut. Für uns war es nach drei Wochen Rucksackreise durch Vietnam und Laos der perfekte Abschluss zum Kraft tanken und Entspannen.

Very nice room with a beautiful view. I came to relax for a couple of days and this was the perfect spot. It was quiet, far away enough from the building work. But close enough to walk to some nice restaurants.

The room was lovely with a huge bed. Meals were great with a lot of options. Buffet breakfast was good too. Enjoyed the sauna steam room and spa. Lovely when it was cold outside.

We were there in off season so not everything open. We did not like the facials we booked through the spa....rushed and it was not a pleasant experience. We wished the weather was better to enjoy the outdoor pools but not much you can do about that.

Die Lage an der Bucht von Cat Ba ist sehr schön und vor allem ruhig. Das Hotel ist mit allem gut ausgestattet, der Garten gut gepflegt.

Es gibt keinen richtigen Strand, und an den Pools gibt es nur sehr wenige Liegen.

De faciliteiten, locatie en het personeel bevielen mij het meest. Je kan hier je rust vinden in de spa, de zonsopgang zien, de drukte opzoeken door naar de stad te lopen en het personeel is heel vriendelijk en ze doen hun best om me zo comfortabel mogelijk te laten voelen.

El chico de recepción es un encanto, nos facilitó la estancia. No se puede decir lo mismo de las chicas, falta de tacto y de idioma inglés en algún caso.

Les chambres

Le personnel inexistant et accueil désagréable . On appel au talkie-walkie devant vous au chek-out pour savoir ce que vous avez volé dans la chambre. L’eau en bouteille du mini bar ( qui ne marche pas ) est facturée, il est vrai que l’on peut boire l’eau du robinet. Ne pas prendre le sac de Laundry !!!, (alors que j’ai dépensé 35€ pour laver des vêtements), c’est un objet précieux pour l’hôtel, il faut le rendre à la dame. Il va pouvoir être réutilisé alors que j’ai mis mes vêtements sales dedans( hyper hygiénique)de toute façon les vêtements propres reviennent dedans . Petit déjeuner pas bon du tout et plus que basic ( pas de jus d’orange etc) Bref ce n’est pas un 5 étoiles ( tout juste un 3)

A fantastic place to stay on Cat Ba! The room was very clean and had a great balcony view. The location is quiet, and at night you can even hear the sea, which was lovely. The spa facility was a fantastic bonus. The sauna was perfectly hot and steamy, and the contrast with the icy cold plunge pool was incredibly invigorating. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The staff deserves a special mention. They were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. Their kindness truly made the stay feel special.

Die Zimmer waren groß und schön. Das Personal war immer nett und freundlich. Die Verständigung auf Englisch aber manchmal etwas schwierig.

Das Essen im Restaurant ist teilweise etwas überteuert.

Le spa est très bien conçu et très agréable. Les piscines sont très bien. La chambre avec balcon vue mer était conforme à notre réservation. Elle est bien équipée.

Il y a un léger manque de choix pour les occidentaux au petit déjeuner. Pas de jus de fruits (orange) et partie sucrée.

Lage ist top, es sind nur wenige Schritte in die Stadt. Man kann zu Fuß 3 Strände besuchen und es gibt einen tollen Ausblick auf die Lan Ha Bay.

It’s well maintained. The spa options are really good. I liked that they had Sauna, cold and hot pools included in the price. Also the pools were nice and well maintained

The staff came across a bit scrappy at times. They knocked on our door to clean even when we had put on do not disturb sign. When we requested them to come later, they hadn’t showed up next two days

Luxurious, clean, great facilities and location. Friendly staff. Family duplex room was 10/10. Kids had fun on the slides and you would struggle to find a better view from a gym.

Couldn’t get a glass of wine in the lovely bar (only by the bottle or rice wine).

The staff didn't speak much English which is surprising for such a big hotel but it didn't really impact our stay.

De locatie. Er was weer een naderende tyfoon en de hotelmanager heeft ons fantastisch geholpen met informatie daarover te verschaffen, advies te geven om ons verblijf te verkorten en transfer naar het vliegveld te regelen. Daarbovenop heeft hij ook nog eens een refund geregeld in verband met het verkorten van ons verblijf!

Gerechten van het ontbijtbuffet droog en weinig smaak tot en met de broodjes aan toe.

Location is awesome. So relaxing and stunning views. Spa is lovely. The onsen, sauna, and showers are free for use.

Mooie kamer. Hebben mooi sfeervol restaurant, maar moesten ontbijten in een sfeerloze vreetschuur. Mooie grote zwembaden maar het water was veel te warm om in te zwemmen

Prachtige locatie. Fantastische kamers. We werden verwelkomd door een heel vriendelijke man die goed Engels sprak. De rest van het personeel spreekt weinig Engels waardoor de communicatie soms moeilijker verliep. De kamers hadden een prachtig uitzicht op Lan Ha Bay. De twee zwembaden waren goed. Het restaurant serveert heel lekker eten 's middags en 's avonds. Er is dan maar weinig volk dus heel rustig en snel bediend. Bij het ontbijt was er wel zeer veel volk. Op enkele minuten wandelen kom je in het stadje. Daar huurden wij brommers om een ritje te maken naar o.a. hospital cave en een park om te wandelen. Via GetyourGuide boekten we een daguitstap met de boot, ze pikten ons op bij het hotel, handig. Wij waren blij dat we 's nachts veilig in dit mooie hotel sliepen en niet op een boot, we zagen enorme bliksems vanop on terras, recht op het water. Wij vonden het fijn om op Cat Ba te verblijven op deze mooie plek.

moeilijke communicatie met het hotel op voorhand.Ook ter plaatse lijken ze iets meer gericht op Chinese toeristen. Maar ondanks dat hadden wij een prachtig verblijf in luxueuze kamers, op deze mooie plek!

Lieliska atrašānās vieta, tīra viesnīca, teritorija ļoti skaista. Skats no istabas ļoti skasts uz līci un baseiniem. Ūdens baseinos tīrs un silts.

Personāla angļu valoda ļoti zemā līmenī, līdz ar to nevarēja iegūt nekādu informāciju par salā notiekošo un apskatāmo.
