O'Pera Okanlı Suites

The apartment was beautiful, well equipped and exactly as shown in the photos. The views were stunning, communication was excellent, and check-in and check-out were very easy. We also really appreciated being able to store our luggage after arriving early in the morning. It's within easy walking distance of Galata Tower, with plenty of great cafés and restaurants nearby.

The apartment could have been a little cleaner, as there was some dust in a few areas. It wasn't a major issue, but a little more attention to detail with cleaning would have made the stay even better.

L’immeuble est très bien situé à proximité des centres d’intérêt et des restaurants. Le quartier est calme mas. Appartement très propre et bien équipé. Gürkan très accueillant et disponible.

Во первых скрипящий пол , во вторых уборки не было от слова совсем , на мой вопрос почему не убрано в комнате сказали это за доп оплату , в третьих я попросила хотяб доп полотенца и поменять постельное белье и одеяло так как было холодно , не принесли , ни завтрак не было , просто ни че го , а цена впринципе не дешевая , за такую цену можно в том же районе найти хорошие отели из куча и даже дешевле вместе с завтраками и уборкой бесплатной , и мы бронировали второй номер для наших друзей , они забыли наш номер второй подготовить , по приезду только вспомнили , и свет в комнате очень плохой слабый что глаза болели , мы 8 раз прилетели в Стамбул и такой отель первый раз видим , за второй номер мы должны были оплатить наличными, там живой души нет ни ресепшена ничего , они должны были принять оплату в тот же день но так как никого там не было , хозяин сказал что завтра возможно заберет , мы сказали ладно , но мы туда прилетели отдыхать , хозяин ставил свои условия что в какой то час заберет оплату чтоб мы в это время были в отели , было странно но мы расчитывали на это время , но за два часа до назначенного времени хозяин названивал и мешал отдыхать вставляя ультиматум что он же сказал что в это время заберет

Nie dostałam tego pokoju co zarezerwowałam. Nie było dodatkowego łóżka i pościeli oraz ręczników. Apartament nie był przygotowany na 3 osoby dorosłe. Było brudno. Nie można się było z nikom dogadać. Rozmawialiśmy przez jakieś trzecie osoby nie byli pomocni. Nie dostaliśmy pościeli i ręczników bo zapomniano. Łóżko przynosiliśmy sami z parteru na 2 piętro bo jedna osoba nie miała na czym spać. W tygodniu zmienił się kod do drzwi wejściowych nie powiadomiono nas o tym bo zapomniano. Pierwszy raz spotykam się z takà niekompetencją.

Ideāla vieta, tuvu centram. Klusa iela. Dzīvoklī viss nepieciešamais, lai gatavotu ēdienu paši. Īpašnieks bija viesmīlīgs. Ļoti tuvu 2 veikaliņi.

Not much at all - but location was good, once I’d walked around a bit, and shower worked well.

Terrible communication with staff (I even got a message from them asking for my score of 10 on departure!) Office always unmanned. Two double beds pushed together with one single, very thin duvet cover as full bedding. Cooking utensils entirely inadequate (only I cooking spoon, and enough utensils for max 2 people - cooking pots, pans so thin you needed a towel to hold them while cooking!) Flat still being cleaned at 3:30pm - despite approval for 2:30 arrival. Equipment in bathroom broken or locked e.g. soap dispenser, hand towel dispenser, toilet roll dispenser. Unable to access bedroom safe cause they didn’t have the code - despite complaining daily, this was never fixed! No welcome/instruction manual - I had to learn everything by error! TV didn’t work for me - although they said it did work after sending in a handyman….but nevertheless I couldn’t get anything in English and staff were not very helpful in solving this problem, so I gave up. No key for balcony door. 1.5 weeks later, and I now have a nasty rash of scabies which I obviously can’t confirm was picked up there, but who will ever know? I’ve been with Booking.com for almost 30 years, and have never complained, but sadly - this place was just not acceptable!

The good things were the location; its 10 minutes from istiklal caddesi, tekels and a101 were close too. The AC worked, and thats kinda all positives listed.

Unfortunately the cleanliness standart was non-existent. I booked suit with a balcony. The room wasnt cleaned at all before our arrival; hair on the ground, sheets werent clean either. Towel was bloody. The shower head was broken and was holding on a tape, which broke very quicky. I texted the owner and he send someone to fix it two days later. There was a mold on the wall and all dishes were dirty too. .

The location of the flat was very good, as it was near the centre of Beyoglu, the large Istiklal road, Galata and Karakoy.

The second floor flat however was dissapointing. The bathrooms was very moldy and we had to ask for a replacement duvet as it was modly. The bedroom floorboards are extremely creaky.

La déco et pas grand chose de plus

Par quoi commencer ? 1 minute après avoir payé la réservation non remboursable un sms d’un numéro inconnu nous annonce que nous ne pourrons pas être reçus. Cela sera contredit 1h plus tard. Nous n’avons croisé aucun personnel sur place, nous avons du réclamer sur l’application pour avoir la télécommande de la télévision qui manquait. Au lieu de s’excuser le personnel nous a dit que nous avions qu’à la demander avant et qu’ils ne feraient rien à cette heure ci. Ajoutons que les serviettes étaient tachées, la bouilloire ne fonctionnait pas et que le verrou de la porte ne fonctionnait pas. Le logement est finalement assez loin des lieux d’intérêts et très bruyant, nous avons réveillés par des bruits à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur du bâtiment. Beaucoup trop cher pour cette qualité de service déplorable.

Очень хорошее расположение. Не далеко от метро, не далеко от ул Истикляль. Было комфортно заселяться дистанционно. Мы в отеле находились чисто для ночлега, поэтому все что нужно мы получили в полном объеме. Постельное было чистым.

Возможно уже скоро лучше сделать косметический ремонт) но нас это не смущало, это мелочевки.

Very disappointing experience. The apartment was in unsafe condition: mold, moisture damage, peeling paint, exposed electrical wiring, broken fire alarm, strong cigarette smell, and constant noise. There was no staff on-site, and the reception was unattended. I reported everything with photo and video evidence. The property refused to help and stopped responding. Booking.com support did not resolve the issue either — instead, they stepped back and offered only €27 compensation, which is completely inadequate given the situation. I had to leave the property the next morning and book another hotel at my own expense. Not acceptable.

Das Appartement war wertig und ansprechend gut ausgestattet. Unsere Kontaktperson war Gürkan, den man jederzeit alles fragen konnte und der sehr freundlich war. Die Lage ist in der Nähe des Galata-Turms (ca. 1,5 km) und ein kleiner Supermarkt war direkt um die Ecke. Wir fanden es toll und kämen jederzeit gerne wieder! War total authentisch!

Расположение удобное, райончик спокойный, мало машин, рядом продуктовые магазинчики есть. Есть микроволновка, холодильник, плита, немного посуды, в целом, жить можно (но смотри минусы). Отмечу аутенчиную мебель в комнате, вот она понравилась. Также хорошие шторы - не пропускают свет. Был обогреватель

Во-первых, это не отель! Это что-то типа гостевого дома, очень разочарован, что он выдается при поиске с фильтром по отелям. Фото которые есть не отражают действительности. При заезде понял, что номер неустраивает, проверил здесь, на booking, что на эти даты свободны другие номера, но мне сказали, что на самом деле всё занято и переселиться нельзя. Номер тестоват. Звукоизоляция с улицы очень плохая. Под окнами перекрёсток - постоянно было слышно, как кто-то стоит болтает. Отопления нет, комнату можно прогреть обогревателем, но в ванной всегда холодно (останаливался в марте, еще прохладно было). В целом на сервис не стоит расчитывать: персонала нет, ресепшна нет, персонал видел только при заселении, потому что платил наличкой. Если у вас наличка, лучше не рассматривайте этот вариант, с этим большие сложности! Потратил пару часов, пока ждал человека, чтоб заплатить. Номер очень грязный, посуду пришлось мыть (без губки, её не было), со стен слезает краска, на кухне грязные пятна на мебели.

Локация хорошая! Было прохладно но привезли оперативно обогреватель. В общем не плохо учитывая место и размер апартаментов. Есть полноценная кухня что удобно если для вас это принципиально важно. Напротив в соседнем доме магазинчик есть в принципе всё необходимое для личных нужд.

Очень сильно скрипят полы это не комфортно. Скрипят не только в ваших апартаментах но и у соседей сверху снизу и рядом. Это наверно самый не комфортный момент но для кого-то может это и не страшно.

Riscaldamento scarso, chiave non funzionava nessuno rispondeva alle chiamate (4 numeri) anche il proprietario che scriveva con whatsapp ha risposto il mio messaggio di aiuto dopo un’ora, alla fine dopo diversi tentativi uno si è degnato di rispondere ma non parlava inglese. (Se è una locazione per turisti devi conoscere la lingua inglese altrimenti cambia attività). Comunque dopo 40 minuti di attesa ho trovate la chiave master per entrare in stanza. Abbastanza pulito ma asciugacapelli bruciato lampada in camera con lampada bruciata e una tenda per oscurare la finestra in camera anello rotto. Ma chi ha dato il voto di “Favoloso”?!!! Pensare che ho scelto una delle suite deluxe.. ma forse non conoscono il significato di questa parola. Ubicazione non è lontana da Galata ma in una stradina alquanto losca. Prima e ultima volta che prendo un appartamento, mi dispiace per il proprietario le mie non sono parole buone ma chi arriva dopo un volo da lontano tutto vuole tranne che trovare problemi, e il problema della chiave senza un aiuto diretto non è elegante…

Change in management means no breakfast, even though stated at time of booking. Exceptionally, they offered useless breakfast to us. e.g. 2 eggs for 3 people. Descriptions at time of booking do not match. e.g. not a hotel, no fitness center, no 5 star etc

Our stay at this property was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The suite was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable, and the environment was peaceful and relaxing. The location was also ideal: close to shops, restaurants, and local attractions, yet quiet and private. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel truly at home. They even helped us with‌ last day breakfast when we needed to check out the room at 8 am they make the breakfast ready for us at 7 which is not common hour for serving breakfast.Also owner of property made sure we had everything we needed. We travel a lot, but this experience stood out as one of the best. It’s clear that the hosts truly care about their guests and go above and beyond to make everything perfect. We are so grateful and will definitely be coming back. Highly, highly recommended!

The manager of the building was extremely attentive to our needs. Very helpful. Breakfast was delivered to the room at the time of your choice. It was clean and safe. Great location as well. Close to lots of restaurants, bars, shopping and other attractions. It was a great stay!

The rooms are not very soundproof, so you can easily hear the rooms around.

Great historical building, spacious and nicely furnished room with a great breakfast waiting by your door at the time of your choosing in the morning. Sam gave us a few two recommendations for food and both were great. The location is quite but just a few hundred meters away for restaurants anid shops.

We were supposed to be at a hotel as it appears in Booking. It doesn't have hotels services. Host pushes too much on WhatsApp that made us a bit uncomfortable contacting since the day previous arrival asking to make some purchases and bring to him in our luggage... You can avoid paying for breakfast. We asked for some changes (some fruit) and was denied. No coffee.

The young owner of this property is justly proud of the work he has done to restore a 19th-century building to a state that appeals to modern travellers. A spacious elevator smoothly delivers guests to the top floor (counting 0 to 4). One is immediately struck by the attention to detail in furnishings like the hand-crafted end tables, whose wooden grain gleams like gold in the afternoon light. The bedroom itself is spacious, while a modern, well-equipped kitchen opens on a view of the Hagia Sophia just across the waters defining the Golden Horn. The larger view of Sultanahmet (the old city) above the rooftops of adjacent buildings includes busy boat traffic from the estuary flowing into the Bosphorous, along with the Suleymaniye Mosque and its twin minarets pointing heavenward (and to the nearby Grand Bazaar). The landscape lingers in the memory long after the visitor has left the scene. Since the property is not a hotel, no one is waiting at reception after 5 pm; late entries are managed by a lock-code. Nor is a property of this class required to have a breakfast room. Even so, a staff member steps off the elevator in the morning, balancing a full Turkish breakfast tray. Guests are left with little more to do than make their own coffee. Back in the bedroom, a 60-inch flat-screen hangs on the wall above a chest of drawers, its programming limited to TV shows in Turkish and to streaming in English (subject to a subscription and password from home). The bathroom is well equipped with a shower that could double as a car-wash, and with toiletries familiar from the best hotels.

Location is the only drawback to this property, the first in the neighbourhood to be restored from decades of neglect. While the building clearly stands out from its neighbours, it remains two steep blocks away from the busy thoroughfare above it with its many restaurants, shops, and bars.

The accommodation is in a really great location. The equipment is new, functional and clean. The hotel manager is excellent, he advises and recommends everything. If I return to Istanbul, I will definitely choose accommodation here.

There is nothing to improve.

The service is outstanding, the rooms are superb and clean. The hotel is perfectly located; central and in a calm street ( which makes it perfect to sleep peacefully and enjoy the full city vibes ). Note: the owner has been extremely helpful and kind; which made the stay even more pleasant!

The location of the hotel is in a perfect location in the city! Everything is easily and quickly accessible on foot and public transfer. Accommodation is clean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The host did everything for our comfort and to make us feel good. Once we return ti Istanbul we definitely stay here.
