Prenotazione fatta last minute per una sola notte, 3 stanze per 7 persone che dormivano lì (comunicate via chat). Appena arrivati abbiamo chiesto agli host se altri 6 amici del gruppo (che avevano il volo la sera tardi) potessero fermarsi solo di giorno e ci hanno detto di sì senza problemi, con un supplemento di 1000 rupie a testa per l’uso della piscina nel pomeriggio (un paio d’ore) e per lasciare i bagagli in stanza fino a sera. Il pagamento andava fatto al checkout insieme al resto, come confermato dalla proprietaria stessa all’arrivo. Già nel pomeriggio Sonya, la proprietaria, fumava e beveva, e la sera era completamente ubriaca. Siamo usciti tutto il pomeriggio, abbiamo cenato fuori e siamo tornati verso le 21:30. Appena rientrati, Sonya ha iniziato a gridarci contro con accuse pesantissime, dicendo che non volevamo pagare, quando invece il pagamento al checkout del giorno dopo era stato concordato e confermato da lei stessa. Era estremamente ubriaca e fuori controllo che anche il marito cercava (senza successo) di calmarla. Ha anche ripetutamente minacciato di chiamare la polizia per gli ospiti extra, che erano già stati comunicati e concordati fin dall’inizio (inoltre, se fosse stato un problema per loro, potevano farlo presente fin da subito e loro avrebbero trovato un'altra soluzione)... ha trattenuto una persona del gruppo impedendole di uscire. Per non far degenerare ulteriormente la situazione abbiamo pagato tutto sul momento, ma lei ha continuato a gridare e a minacciarci in modo ingiustificato per un bel po’, chiedendo anche soldi extra oltre a quanto dovuto. Anche al momento del checkout finale la mattina dopo ha continuato con le grida e le minacce, senza alcuna giustificazione. Ha chiesto ulteriori soldi che le sono stati dati per evitare ulteriori discussioni (3000 rupie) affermando che mancavano le chiavi di una stanza (ma era stata lei ad entrare e a prenderle...

Le homestay est bien situé, à environ 30min en voiture de l’aéroport. Nous avons profité d’un dîner délicieux de Bernard hier soir. La chambre était spacieuse et très propre, et la douche était la plus agréable de notre séjour au Sri Lanka.

We had an amazing stay at Millet’s. The room was great! Good size, and very clean. What stood out from other stays was the staff and food. The staff was super friendly, and was willing to help you with anything you can think of. Besides that the food was delicious. I highly recommend this stay for everyone

Très chouette hôtel avec une jolie piscine, les chambres sont spacieuses et bien équipées, le quartier est très calme et les propriétaires sont très accueillants. Bon petit déjeuner et repas, mais pensez à bien insister sur l'absence d'épices si vous voulez manger non épicé !

Un peu éloigné du centre, il faut prévoir un taxi ou un tuk-tuk si vous voulez aller visiter Negombo.

Nous avons eu un très bel accueil, c’est situé pas très loin de l’aéroport donc parfait pour notre petite escale avant de repartir. La piscine était grande et propre, notre chambre également et nous avons super bien mangé !

Die Unterkunft wird von einem deutschsprachigen Ehepaar geführt, und wir hatten dort zwei wunderschöne Tage.

Ich fand alles gut und schön.

Das Abendessen und auch das Frühstück waren mit viel Liebe hergerichtet und geschmacklich absolut super!

Bernard was very friendly, attentive and helpful.

Staff: while Bernard the male owner was lovely, Sonya the female owner was very drunk, and yelled at me for checking in late which has been agreed upon and organised prior. They are both German and don’t much speak English so communication was very difficult. Location: it’s directly across from a large cemetery, far from the centre, and need to take Tuktuk to go anywhere. Insects: the room I was initially given had 2 cockroaches, Bernard came in and killed the smaller one with his barehand, and the large one went hiding and couldn’t be found. That’s when I requested to change rooms and that’s when Sonya yelled very loudly while off her face drunk and naked from the room next to me. The second room although didn’t have cockroaches, it had lots of ants and spiders. Comfort: the mattress was awful and makes a lot of noise, the pillows are also very uncomfortable. All in all, easily the worst place I stayed in my entire 2 and half week trip in Sri Lanka and would not recommend.

Die Inhaberin ist sehr freundlich und bemüht sich den Wünschen nachzugehen. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und grün.

Die Lage außerhalb der Anlage ist leider nicht wirklich schön.

Sehr saubere und komfortabele Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage.

Die Entfernung zum touristischen Zentrum ist relativ groß, mit Tuktuk aber kein Problem.

Sehr hübsche kleine Unterkunft. Helle, große und gut ausgestattete Zimmer. Schöner grüner und blühender Garten mit Pool. Tolles frisch zubereitetes Frühstück und Abendessen. Familiäre Atmosphäre bei angenehmen und hilfsbereiten Gastgebern. Dankeschön!

Die Unterkunft ist einfach supergut - eine grüne Oase abseits vom hektischen Treiben und perfekt für den Beginn oder das Ende einer Sri Lanka-Reise. Die Gastgeber Sonja und Bernard sind herzlich, hilfsbereit und diskret. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber, alle haben haben entweder eine Terrasse oder einen Balkon. Die Betten sind bequem und die Dusche (mit Abtrennung zum restlichen Badezimmer) funktioniert hervorragend. Es war so schön, dass wir uns am ersten Tag kaum fortbewegt, sondern einfach nur wie im Paradies gefühlt haben. Sowohl das Frühstück als auch das Abendessen wird individuell zubereitet - alles ist super köstlich. Gerne möchten wir auch am Ende unserer Reise wieder hier wohnen. Danke!

My wife and I loved our 3 night stay. The room was terrific; good air con, modern bathroom and a shaded seating area at the front. The pool was a welcome relief. Sonya and Bernard, and the staff, were perfect hosts. The food was amazing. Sonya organised a cooking class for me which.was extremely interesting and informative. We went with Sonya in a tuk tuk to buy the ingredients from a variety of fruit stalls, farmers market and supermarket. Really fascinating to see the huge variety of produce available. A friend of Sonya's then cooked the evening meal. She spoke perfect English and was a superstar creating 8 dishes which were sooo tasty. We had a great evening - dining and chatting with the other guests whilst we devoured the sublime food. A gem of a place and we would happily return in the future

Geen muggennet, maar er waren niet veel muggen, dus was eigenlijk geen probleem

Nous avons été très ben accueillis par les propriétaires. Les chambres étaient spacieuses et propres. Le jardin et la piscine étaient très agréables.

Das Essen war großartig. Dass die Betreiber jahrelange Erfahrung in Gastronomie und Hotelgewerbe haben war deutlich spürbar. Unser Zimmer war sauber, schön eingerichtet und die Anlage liebevoll angelegt. Selbst das Leitungswasser ist dank Filteranlage trinkbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können Millet's nur weiter empfehlen.

Un piccolo angolo di paradiso dove riposarsi dopo un lungo viaggio : camere pulitissime, un angolo ristorante dove si mangia davvero bene , una piccola piscina tra i banani dove rinfrescarsi, insomma c’è tutto per sentirsi subito in vacanza !Sonja & Bernard ed i loro cagnolini sono davvero simpatici e accoglienti. Lo consiglio assolutamente !

Very Nice owners, well kept rooms! Real warm and welcoming

Negombo is not much too look at, but this is a chill place to recover from a long flight.

The place is neat and clean with good touch of design decoration. The pool is clean and may be heated. You can relaxed and enjoy the environment, we go for canal tour near by at walking distance which is amazing trip only for 7500LKR for 4 people.

The owner first refuses stay with 5yrs old kid but later agreed, thanks but they are too observant about the place which makes guest uncomfortable. In the end they checked complete room and we never face such issues before so we don't feel good. Also, the host english is weak so you can face some issues.

Perfect spot for our final night in Sri Lanka. Owners and staff all very friendly and helpful. Two dogs and cat perfectly behaved and adorably friendly too. We loved the food and the pool with plenty of shade in the garden to avoid the sun. Our room was large, airy and wonderfully easy to keep cool. Thank you to all concerned.

A very nice accommodation located near Negombo. I would definitely recommend it to anyone either leaving Sri Lanka or just arriving. It’s a perfect transit point because the accommodation meets European standards – not only in terms of equipment, but also cleanliness, which is on a higher level than what is usually found in Sri Lanka. You won’t miss anything here – and at the same time, you can enjoy the authentic Sri Lankan atmosphere all around (nature, local life, traffic, and friendly people). The place is very clean, the garden and pool are always well-maintained, and everything works (air conditioning, TV, fans, fridge). It has a great location – close to the airport and just 5 minutes by Uber to the beach. The ride to the beach costs only 340 LKR (approximately 1 euro). The owners are truly kind people, and it's easy to communicate with them about anything. There are also two lovely, clean dogs and a cat on the property. The food here is excellent. For lunch and dinner, you can choose from about eight different meals, which change regularly. There is always a choice – from local Sri Lankan dishes (including fresh fish) to European-style meals, so everyone can find something they like. The owners buy fresh ingredients every day.

This truly was a gem, lush and surrounded by nature in the middle of the city, the rooms are spacious and nice, the hosts served us cold drinks the moment we arrived and we had one of the best dinners of our trip here. I would strongly recommend you booking this accomodation when arriving and before leaving Sri Lanka or just when visiting Colombo, we will be back 🫶

A perfect place for relaxing in Negombo. With my friend we stayed there in the beginning and at the end of our trip. Everything was perfect, the staff was kind and the breakfast was delicious.

We really enjoyed the company of the hosts Sonja and Bernard. They made excellent food and helped us out whenever we needed it. A great place to start your trip in Sri Lanka. The pool was well needed in the sun, and the birds and flying foxes at night made for exceptional entertainment. We loved the ro oms and the beds were very comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here!

We had a lovely stay, it is a hidden gem in the busy town of Negombo where you can relax and cool off in the nice pool that is in the centre of the property. The owners are really helpful with everything.

Modern bungalows, cozy terrace, delicious food, excellent breakfast, friendly owners, cold beer, nice pool, central location, nice shower. Airport pick up was arranged. All for a very good price.

The hosts and their food are the best! The brand new accommodation is modern and up to highest standart. It was our 2nd time here :D we loved it soo much we had to come back. Also, do a cooking class with their locsl staff. Amazing experience!

The stay here was good, we were the only ones except for the hosts. The pool was clean and the room was great. We did have ants in our room, but that was expected considering the surroundings. The hosts didn’t speak good English, but we understood each other. They have gave us drinks and water upon arrival and called the taxi driver to drive us to the airport and we were grateful for that.

The pool was lovely. The room was tidy and well appointed, and the AC worked well. A genuinely gorgeous property.

We booked this place because we thought it would have amazing food, and were disappointed to find that they only offer expensive western food. There were no vegetarian options on the menu but they made me a light salad (2400 rupees). The German owner drinks and sits with you at dinner. She has quite a lot to say which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but we were pretty exhausted and were trying to plan out the next day.

The pool was lovely. A really quiet relaxing place with lots of green. The people running the place were friendly and helped us check in late. Some really cute dogs too.

Great place!!! Nice and modern design. Very comfortable and well built, so you don't even need an AC. Close to the beach plus lovely swimming pool and garden! Thank you Millets for having me in your place. I can definitely recommend it to everybody!!!
