La titolare molto accogliente. Struttura pulita ed organizzazione impeccabile. La cucina della signora è ottima

Prezzi più alti rispetto alla media. Però è giusto dire che sono ben spesi.

La proprietaria è il fiore all’occhiello della struttura: sempre gentile, presente e disponibile a rispondere ad ogni richiesta. La struttura è a conduzione familiare, vi permette di vivere un’esperienza autentica. Noi abbiamo noleggiato il motorino tramite il ragazzo che abita vicino alla struttura ad un prezzo molto conveniente (7€ al giorno). La colazione è eccezionale! La proprietaria ha addirittura esaudito il mio desiderio di mangiare un dolce alla cannella al mattino! La proprietaria è disponibile a preparare una cena tipica buonissima ad un prezzo contenuto. La struttura è pulita e molto carina rispetto agli standard in srilanka. Si è vicini al Nine arch bridge ma non si vede dalla struttura. È comoda a tutte le principali attrazioni in scooter o tuk tuk. Se tornassi ad Ella tornerei qui! (Le foto su Booking rispecchiano la realtà)

Il centro non è raggiungibile a piedi ma ci sono molti servizi vicino alla struttura.

The room was just so homely and comfortable. We loved the bed and although we came when the mosquitos were non-existent we still used the net to make it like a homely fort. The bathroom was great and clean. Lovely hot showers. A great sized fridge. We had breakfast outside each morning and we could choose our time each day and even what food we wanted. The owner loved to overfeed us. She was truly an expectional person and her daughter was adorable. She went above and beyond to tell us what to do each day and where to go! It is out of the main centre we are hikers and fit it was only about a 15 minute walk. Maybe 20/25 if you are a bit slower. Depending on the tuk tuk it was 500-1000lkr (some will try to overcharge so be careful).It was right next to the nine arch bridge. We went to a lovely cafe to watch the train pass at 9.50am called the asanka cafe - highly recommend. All in all really great place! Thank you for being our home away from home!

The cabin was absolutely spotless. Its very close to 9 Arch Bridge, there is a tuk tuk driver on call to take you wherever you wish to go for a very good price & our hostess was very helpful & made us HUGE breakfasts which kept us going all day. I thoroughly recommend Nine Arch Wood Cabin when staying in Ella.

We had a brilliant time staying at Nine Arch Wood Cabin. The rooms are enormous, spotless, and have everything you need. Our host was kind and attentive, and we had the biggest and best breakfast we’ve enjoyed in Sri Lanka while we were there.

The hotel is a little further out of Ella town centre, but we enjoyed the walk down the hill into town and we were extremely close to both Ella Rock and Nine Arch bridge, so really recommend it as a place to stay if you want to enjoy those sites.

Överdådig frukost på uteplats med vacker utsikt över gröna kullar och dalar. Boendet är funktionellt och fyllde våra förväntningar på ett boende på landsbygden uppe bland teplantagen i de Sri lankesiska höglandskapet.

Rummet var vad man kan förvänta sig, relativt enkelt men funktionellt och stor yta. Dock kan det sägas vara lite kallt och ganska basic. Duschen har ingen kabin eller kanter för vattnet så duschar man så rinner det ut i hela badrummet. Det är visserligen en mycket vanlig lösning på Sri Lanka. Vi sökte utsikt så utifrån det perspektivet är boendet bra men var medveten om att det är en 20 minuters promenad ner till centrum (om du inte tar en tuk tuk) och lite krångligt med backar och promenad på trafikerade vägar.

Best breakfast in Sri Lanka! The owner is very kind, we arrived late and had to leave early but she still made a great packed breakfast for our hike! It was deeeeelicious! The place is spotless. She clearly had taken any previous feedback into account and actioned it to make the place better! Not accessible by car but the owner will arrange a tuk tuk to pick you up from the road.

Wish we had stayed longer!

Great location for Nine Arch Bridge & Little Adams Peak. Easy journey into town with a tuktuk (very accommodating whenever we required one!). The staff were so lovely and the breakfast was incredible! Loved the cabin, it was so clean and the view from the balcony was incredible.

Fußläufig ohne Tuk Tuk in die Stadt sehr weit

De mooie ligging en het luxe huisje. De serviceen het ontbijt was op tijd en lekker.

De opdringerigheid om meer geld te verdienen. Aangeboden taxidiensten zijn de eigen familie en zijn vele malen hoger dan lokaal, daarnaast spreek je een prijs af en als je niet meer anders kan zeggen ze dat ze het niet begrepen en dat de prijs hoger is en het anders niet kunnen doen. Ook hebben ze de boeking achteraf gecancelled met een no-show om geen kosten aan booking te hoeven afdragen en het voorkomen dat we een review zouden schrijven.

Magnifique vue, proche de Little Adams Peak et du Nine Arche Bridge qui sont accessibles à pied. Sunjiva est adorable, aux petits soins pour faciliter votre séjour et cuisine de magnifiques petits déjeuner servis sur la terrasse face à la montagne.

Le logement est un peu excentré de la ville, mais très accessible en Tuk Tuk

Location 10/10. We stayed one night and did little Adam’s peak and nine arches bridge (via cafe soul) which was next to the cabin. The cabin itself was lovely and the terrace was huge with a great view. Breakfast was amazing although too big, we couldn’t finish most of it!

Communication with the host was a little bit challenging. She was so so helpful when we got there

La camera é davvero bella e confortevole e la pulizia perfetta, il panorama dal balcone stupendo. La posizione della struttura strategica. La signora Gentilissima e accogliente, vi consiglio di chiamarla il giorno prima per prenotare una fantastica e ricca cena tradizionale e presentata con cura e amore. Ve lo consiglio !!!! La colazione ricca e buonissima con prodotti freschi e ricercati. Un posto dove vorrei sicuramente tornare !!!!

L'host si è dimostrato molto disponibile e attento a soddisfare le nostre richieste. La visuale a 360° ha reso la nostra permanenza indimenticabile. Colazione ottima con prodotti di qualità. La posizione è ottima per raggiungere facilmente il Nine Arch Bridge ma un po' distante dal centro, nonostante ciò l'host ci ha subito lasciato il contatto di un tuk-tuk di fiducia.

Come spunto di miglioramento suggerirei di lasciare delle bottigliette di acqua a disposizione dei clienti, un piccolo dettaglio molto apprezzato dai turisti.

Partiamo dal cibo che era tantissimo e buonissimo, soprattutto la cena. L'host è sempre stata disponibile e presente ma mai invadente. Camera enorme, pulita e curata nei dettagli. Posizione defilata dal caos del centro e a soli 10 minuti a piedi dal Nine Arch Bridge

Se proprio vogliamo trovare un difetto, su Google Maps non si riesce a trovare la posizione, quella di Booking è errata.

We really liked the staff in this hotel, incredibly friendly. The breakfast was exceptional with the local food, it was sooo delicious l! Also we had an amazing view.

The owner ! She's such a kind and caring person. She makes sure you are confortable and she makes a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast for you, homemade and different every day. You can enjoy it in front of a peaceful view. Breakfast quantity is a lot ! For us it was even a bit too much. Also, the owner offered laundry service (perfect !) and made everything easy for us.

Wat een prachtige locatie, mooie cabine met een fantastisch uitzicht en een ontzettend gastvrije host. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en uitgebreid en zorg is top. We mochten onze Tuktuk op het terrein onder de overkapping plaatsen. Aanrader om hier te verblijven.

Pięknie położony, klimatyczny domek z widokiem na Ella Rock, idealny na spokojny, relaksujący pobyt. Wnętrze bardzo czyste, z dużym i wygodnym łóżkiem. Właścicielka przemiła i bardzo pomocna, dzięki niej poczuliśmy się jak w domu. Śniadania były przepyszne, domowe, świeże i podawane na tarasie z widokiem. Zdecydowanie warto, jeden z najbardziej wyjątkowych noclegów na naszej trasie!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Ausblick und super Lage (nahe Little Adam’s Peak und Nine Arches Bridge). Die Gastgeberin ist unglaublich herzlich, sehr nett und fragt immer, ob man noch etwas braucht. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, äußerst reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Wir haben auch einmal zu Abend gegessen, ebenfalls köstlich und sehr üppig (Tipp: an diesem Tag lieber das Mittagessen auslassen). Insgesamt sind wir sehr zufrieden, es waren wirklich sehr schöne Tage!

We stayed three nights at the Nine Arch Wood Cabin and it was simply perfect! The accommodation was very clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the location was pleasantly quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of Ella. Breakfast was balanced, delicious, and could be enjoyed with a stunning view. What really made our stay special was the warm and caring host family, who looked after us so kindly – even preparing a lunch package for our train journey. We have rarely felt so welcome anywhere. An absolute recommendation – we would come back anytime!

We stayed at Nine Arch Wood Cabin and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you might need. The highlight, however, was the amazing breakfast prepared by Delani — the perfect chance to try authentic Sri Lankan breakfasts if you haven’t yet. Each morning she made us something different, and every single dish was even more delicious than the last. The location is excellent: peaceful and away from the city’s noise, yet close enough to walk to Nine Arch Bridge, Adam’s Peak, and other attractions. On top of that, the views from the property are simply stunning. We truly enjoyed our 3-day stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended — don’t think twice!

We loved everything here! 1. the room and the bathroom are VERY clean. 2. the breakfast is A LOT and so so delicious. 3. Adam’s Peak, Ella Tock, the nine Arche Bridge and Ella are all in walking distance. 4. The host family is so so so nice, they made our stay so special. It was also my birthday and they helped my husband to plan a wonderful day and even had a gift for me, so so so cute. 5. the view from the balcony is breath taking! The best stay in Sri Lanka by FAR!!

Everything was truly perfect.

The location is right next to the Nine Arch Bridge — within walking distance (or a short tuk tuk ride) to the centre of Ella, yet tucked away in a peaceful part of town. The place is spotlessly clean, and the owner truly goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. The bed is super comfortable, and Sangiva’s breakfast is absolutely incredible: all homemade and delicious. Highly recommended!

La camera è semplice ma molto confortevole e pulita. Si trova in una bellissima posizione, a due passi da Nine arch bridge e lontana dalla confusione del centro. La proprietaria vi farà sentire come a casa: dalla colazione che è buonissima, al servizio di laundry, al noleggio scooter e ai consigli su cosa visitare e quando.

Such a lovely place! We had a last minute cancellation (the day we were travelling to Ella) and this place was quick to respond to our request. They reached out to me immediately to confirm the booking. The place was so clean, shower was hot, the room is so spacious, the bed was so comfy, fresh towels, and an amazing breakfast. It’s very new. The host is so nice. You won’t be disappointed staying here. I highly recommend this place.

Aunty Dinali was very friendly and provided us with super delicious and filling breakfast. You could even adjust the timing of breakfast with her if you're leaving earlier or later. She also gave recommendations about our itinerary in Ella, as well as tuktuk service to the city centre.

Hot water was a bit unstable but usable. The final 300m of the location is also a bit of a hike and it is around 3km from the city center.

The room occupies entire 2nd floor of a house located on a hill. It's spacious, clean, well maintained, and has a nice terrace. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming, view is gorgeous, breakfast is delicious. Also it's in walking distance from key points: 10 min to 9 Arch Bridge, 20 min to Ella town center, 40 min to Little Adam Peak (highly recommended to visit on sunrise or sunset). I would love to stay here again!

Breakfast was exceptional, such a huge amount of food , enough for 6 people . Shame we had to leave early the next morning so only got to experience one breakfast .

We loved our stay here. The hostess and her family are so so lovely, did everything to help us, and the breakfast is the best we had in Sri Lanka. It was just a shame we couldn't eat it all! It's a 30-40 minute walk from Ella town up a hill, so be prepared for that, but we loved the fact that it was more remote and quiet. The view from the balcony is gorgeous and you can walk easily to the Nine Arch bridge as well. They were happy to drive us to Diyaluma Falls as well.

The property was clean and well maintained. The host was incredibly attentive and responded very quickly via WhatsApp. The host was also able to organise a tuk tuk for day trips as well as a laundry service. The property is within walking distance of the nine arch bridge, Little Adams Peak and Ella town. But far enough away to be nice and quiet at night. The breakfast! oh my god the breakfast were amazing.l! A great family business. We would highly recommend it.

Our host was welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent each day and the cabin has beautiful views, 9 Arch Bridge a short walk away and easy access to Ella.

This was a wonderful experience here at Nine Arch Wood Cabin. The host family, especially Billani, were delightful and looked after us so well. The breakfast served on our balcony was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We could not eat everything offered, it really was very generous and very good. We were also very lucky to have special food offered for our dinner for New Year night. The views of Ella Rock and the Temple in the distance was fantastic. Also one of the paths down down down to the bridge was close, which meant up up to walk back from Ella or the bridge, but we didn't mind. There was a short cut path to Little Adams Peak from the cabin too. Of course you can get a tuk tuk if you don't want to walk. So it's a little bit out from the main hub of downtown.

Not that I didn't like so much but the pressure in the shower was very low.

Amazing views, very comfortable bed, incredible host who made us the most amazing breakfast each morning (she even sent us with delicious homemade samosas the last morning for our early train ride). close enough to town to walk 30 minutes or hire a cheap Tuktuk, but far enough for it to be peaceful and quiet. We absolutely loved our stay here! She was so helpful with tips of what to do and see to make the most of our time in Ella! She was so thoughtful in stocking the cabin and hosting us.

Lovely cabin , huge comfy bed, fridge and good bathroom. Views spectacular. Easy walk to nine arches bridge and Adam’s peak. 10 mins walk to some good restaurants- The Green door worth a visit - 30 mins in total to main part of Ella. We walked in the day and night with no problems but the cabin is up a hill - for the views! The owner is a lovely lady who is very helpful. Her family are all lovely . Her breakfast is enough to feed 6 ! She wrapped up what we couldn’t eat to take away with us ! Her Sri Lankan breakfasts were truly amazing and sitting on your balcony with the views truly special . Would recommend and Ella is a magical place .

I don’t know where to start. From the moment of my arrival, I was greeted with smiles and complete first class accommodations. This place is large and spacious and has tons of natural light and incredible views. It sits on the trail to the nine arch bridge. And it’s an easy walk all the way into town. I was going to stay a second night, but of course it was already booked. No surprise. The bed was king-size and super comfortable. One of the best nights sleep. I’ve had in a while. Very quiet. Unlike the last place I stayed here with barking dogs. Breakfast was equal to most five star resort site visited and all of my world travels. I placed a photo of that here.

Absolutely wonderful. The Cabin is amazing, the breakfast is out of this world, always something else, very very delicious and everything made with do much love from this very lovely and friendly host, what an amazing place and the host and her daughter are such wonderful people. When we booked this accommodation, we had slight concerns whether everything would be okay, due to the small number of reviews, but now we know that we had nothing to worry about, everything was more than perfect! The cottage is located in a quiet area, 15 minutes walk from the Nine Arches Bridge and 5 minutes by tuk tuk from the center. The cottage is new, spacious with a large balcony and a beautiful view. It is quiet and peaceful, because there are no other guests around, which was a very big plus for us. The owners are very nice and helpful. We were welcomed with the best fruit cocktail we have had in Sri Lanka. The owner's husband has a tuk-tuk and works as a taxi driver, which is a great convenience, because whenever we needed transport, we could count on him regardless of the time or place. The owner is very nice and talkative and serves delicious and varied breakfasts, as well as dinners upon prior request. We had a very nice time here and we highly recommend this place!

Sometimes the Internet was slow, but it wasn't a problem for us

The owner was amazing! The breakfast she cooked us was really tasty, she even made sure to pack us some to-go lunch for during our hike. She really knows what hospitality means, she made sure everything was arranged and clean. Also the cabin is spacy and has an amazing balcony+view.

If I’d have to mention one thing, the shower pressure could be better. Other than that nothing that wasn’t great.

One of the best places we've stayed at in 17 days in Sri lanka. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, newly built, well curated and clean. There's even a stocked fridge and water boiler . It's a family run guest house, just 5 mins walking from the famous nine arch bridge which you can see with a short walk and avoid crowds. It's not in the city chaos but just 15 mins easy walk from there so perfect. Homemade food by Chattu was the best breakfast we've had so far, amazing cook, and you will be served it on the porch with the wonderful view ! l They provide you with everything you need , they have a tuk tuk and they even provided us with the car driver to go to udawalawe at a fair price. It's run by a great, hardworking , kind couple , with the cutest kid ❤️they deserve this review. We loved our stay there, couldn't recommend more.

Amazing - what a secret place this is, just a bit outside the busy street in ella with all the tourists. You have a great view and have peace. Rooms was exceptionel clean, very nice! The beds are very comfortable. The host makes great dinner as well, a bit much for us but i am sure you will not be hungry afterwards. Same for breakfast :) She helped us a lot and cared for us! You can walk in 20 tot 25 min to the center and 10 minutes to the bridge . We would definitly come back :)

We had a wonderful stay here! The room is surrounded by large windows, allowing us to enjoy the stunning view from inside as well. The bed was big and comfortable, and the room was spacious. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. The family was welcoming, very helpful and gave us great recommendations on things to do in Ella. We also loved the location - away from the busy city, offering a peaceful and calm atmosphere, but still with easy access to everything. Little Adam’s peak and nine arches bridge are within walking distance, and during the day, you can also walk to the city or other restaurants nearby - at night tuktuk is better since the road doesn’t have sidewalk. We planned two nights here and we extended. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

If you have the opportunity to stay here take it. We felt so blessed to be in this beautiful spot with such a wonderful host. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Wonderful bed. The food is exceptional. Don’t make the mistake we did and waste a meal in town. Perfect location for everything with a fantastic view.

It is a little outside town, and difficult to reach being on top of a hill, but the view pays it off.

Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful . Organising transfers , cooking classes and provided fountain of local knowledge. Could watch locals picking tea from our room in the mornings . Short walk to 9 arch bridge.

Could do with a small lamp bedside lamp in the room so when turn main light off can see and plain bedsheet encase blanket not needed .

The Nine Arch Wood Cabin is an amazing home stay, we would absolutely recommend it!!! The wood cabin is very clean and big and has a beautiful view of the wholesome forest. It is also well located, the nine arch bridge and the bottom of the little adams peak are both only 10 minutes away by foot, and it is situated a little outside of the way too touristy city center. We were received with a welcoming tee by the lovely hosts and were served the most delicious and abundant breakfast the morning after. They even packed some of it for us to go, since it was so much, we couldn't finish it. Sadly, we had gone out so the host couldn't find us, but she would have offered to cook us dinner. After experiencing her cooking skills at breakfast, we can only recommend making use of this opportunity. If we didn't have already booked the trip to our next destination, we would definitely have stayed longer.

We felt very welcome, arrived after dinner and enjoyed a hot shower and a good sleep. Good to know: the matrace is rather of the strong side, what we liked. We had nice blankets, think of using a pyjama, during night its getting cold in Ella. The surrounding is beautiful, the breakfast generous with sweet and salty parts, fruits, fruits juices and delicious tea. As our host offered to prepare dinner, we chose that and enjoyed rice and curries, fresh salad and bananas. Communication was easy, a driver for our next trip recommended. All in all a beautiful experience. A family run guesthouse in Ella outside of the busy crowded area in the village.
