No working lift meant carrying a heavy large suitcase upstairs Breakfast was very lacklustre and most of the hot items were cold , we were pressed for an exact time to book breakfast when we arrived to check in at 10pm but there was only 1 other person there at breakfast

Lovely location. We passed 2 mounjac deer in the grounds. Room very clean and comfortable. Not great choice for dinner. Breakfast somewhat disappointing. No choice of fruit juice or fruit salad. Scrambled egg sitting a lo g time. Plenty of parkng

Room was clean and met our requirements for an overnight stay, basic accommodation, no fridge and bare essentials for tea and coffee. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, as we had flown from Dubai my lighter was confiscated, around 5 am I was desperate to have a cigarette , the man on reception went and found me a lighter from another staff also later on that morning before breakfast there was a girl on reception who also went to find me a lighter, the second time she went to borrow it for me on return she said that Wendy the chef said I could keep the lighter as she has a spare, this was very kind and each time I bothered them for a lighter they were really helpful and happy to help. I also had the best breakfast I have had in a hotel, plenty of choice, really tasty and cooked perfectly, we attend several concerts each year and have stayed in lots of different hotels and have to say 10 out of 10,

Could do with more milks and water in the room.

Ligt aan het doel van de overnachting: als airport Hotel: prima. Fijn bed, wel lawaai door gillende kinderen, blaffende honden en niet te corrigeren reizigers. Als vakantie hotel is het niets. Liefdeloos. Buiten niets opgeruimd, tuin niet bijgehouden en een mislukte ongepaste renovatie binnen. Aan het personeel ligt het volgens mij niet, die deden hun best, maar beperkten zich echt tot hun taken (het terras met allemaal.bwsxhadid meubilair)? Trof je een dag later hetzelfde als het was achtergelaten de dag ervoor. Eten was prima.

My son and me have been enjoying the stay soooo much. All people were absolutely friendly, the staff did everything for feeling welcomed. The room was big and very clean. The food was deliciuos.

We were a group of four with a small dog, staying at the Stanhill Court Hotel for just one night, unfortunately. We chose it because of its proximity to Gatwick Airport. What we experienced completely surprised and delighted us. The grounds, the house, the rooms, and the staff were exceptional. They were incredibly kind and responsive to our questions and requests. We felt warmly welcomed. Breakfast and dinner were both good and reasonably priced.

Convenient for Gatwick

Personal opinion is that this is not a 4 star hotel. No aircon anywhere in the building. Shower was too hot to stand under and could scald someone. I think they must also have a cess pit in the garden as the part of the garden that was in the shade had an overpowering smell of sewage.

The rural area

Very noisy as the noise insulation was rather poor

Location was wonderful and the hotel itself was lovely .

Our room was boiling , we had a fan but made little impact on the heat ! The cooked breakfast was not great ! Bacon horrible and the scrambled egg !! Was worse .

Cost of the room was good, the room was clean.

Parking was an additional £10 which we did not know about. Should be included in the price. The room was unbearably hot and the fan in the room was woefully inadequate, we probably only got a couple of hours sleep.

A lift inside would have been useful..BUT staff will help you carry your bags up the stairs at Check-In. It is a historic building after all,..so putting in a customer lift would be difficult and expensive.

Having to pay for parking. I need to work in the area every week and asked if I could book at reception with a discount rate. But they said I had to go through the website. I would be staying every week at the hotel, but they didn’t seem interested booking me in with a discounted rate.

Room has air con! Lovely well decked out room. Parking easy and good for high end cars that are low(few speed bumps but ok)

Breakfast was pretty low rent. Ok 15 quid but that was the max I would have made it. They charged me double btw but I had to go back and they refunded me ok. Great place but it's lop sided. Great in some respects (room & staff) but bfast was low compared to the rest of the experiences.

The genreal cleanliness - we had an hour or so to wait for a taxi before we went to a wedding - we had a drink in the bar, then walked out onto the terrace to enjoy the sun, but all of the tables still had dirty crockery and old cigarette butts in ash trays on - not one of the outside tables were clean, and this was left for well over an hour or so - the following morning, there were still beer cans etc left on the terrace tables from the night before. No air con in the room and window restrictors on the small windows made the room very stuffy. the room itself was fine, in so far as it was clean, but the bathroom was cramped. The breakfast was very basic, and we had to ask staff to refill the coffee (only a vat of filter available, no other coffee types) and some of the food when we arrived down there - the attendance was limited. Nearly £300 for a room and allegedly 4 star - very poor value.

Der Aufzug hat seltsam gequietscht, die Sauberkeit im Bad war nicht perfekt. Es gab einige Risse in der Wand. Das Personal beim Frühstück wirkte etwas überfordert.

I liked the location, quiet venue to be near an airport and the plenty parking access.

Stunning hotel and location. Stayed for a pre early flight from Gatwick would highly recommend only 10-15 mins drive. I would definitely book this hotel just for a weekend away also.

There wasn't anything not to like

I didnt like the staff members that thought it was acceptable to move empty beer kegs from the cellar ( under my room ) and then stack them outside of my window at 1am . Room included breakfast when booking , but was charged 12.50 and 10 for parking .. Staff where very used to customers querying both extra charges

- Te weinig personeel (dus lange wachttijden). - Het hotel organiseert ook feesten en partijen. Die vonden onder ons raam plaats. Luide stemmen, rokende mensen en harde muziek die tot laat in de avond door ging. - beperkte menu kaart. - in de tuin en op het terras werd niet opgeruimd. Dus als je in de ochtend buiten wilt zitten, staan de stoelen nog zoals ze de avond ervoor achter gelaten zijn, de tafels zijn niet schoon gemaakt en het terras niet geveegd. Er ligt veel troep. De kussens in de stoelen zijn vies. - zeer karig ontbijt met nauwelijks verse producten. - je moet betalen voor gebruik van de parkeerplaats (terwijl het hotel buitenaf is en er genoeg ruimte is).

Lack of air conditioning in the room we stayed in. Unfortunately we stayed during the first heat wave of the summer. The roof was exceptionally hot! We were given a fan by the fiendly guy on reception which helped.

It was a very impressive building which had been thoughtfully adapted for modern day use. The room was spacious, had air con which was great as it was very hot. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

The only thing that let it down was that the shower floor was very slippery, like an ice rink and should have had a rubber shower mat for safety.

The aircon didn't work, there was rubbish pretty much everywhere in the garden, carpark and out front. Not huge piles, but obviously nobody is out looking. Of the 8 deck chairs, 2 were broken and obviously so, the wicker chairs were all in a sad state, the wooden garden tables had peeling paint. Indoors I the corridors, the carpet in multiple places had stains from bleach or similar. It must have once been lovely, but is looking very tired now and clearly the staff don't have time or perhaps incentive to look after the place anymore.

I was originally put in a room by a wedding, I asked if I could be moved to a more quite room and they did it straight away.
