Good place to travel alone. Enjoyed

It's so peaceful around.

It's not easy to go there by walk.

One of the best hostels in Ooty. Just a bit far from Ooty city centre but it’s still totally worth it. In a nice location, overlooking some tea gardens and fields with scenic views. If you are coming from Coimbatore it’s in the way, just get off near the location and walk a few hundred metres. The ambiance of the hostel is very cool and cozy. There’s so many bunk beds in there.

The view is just amazing. The beds were decent. Good for those travellers who just wanna go there to sleep in the night and leave immediately the day after. Washroom was very clean although they didn't have handwash only. LOL.

That they had no kitchen. Like you cannot even make tea or maggi yourself also. You'll have to order from Swiggy from Zomato but that's also not readily available there in that area easily. You'll have to order after 11 AM and before 8 PM to get your food. Barely any common area. Like it was too small. Cramped up by people even if half of the guests decide to come and sit in the common area. It was run by a volunteer when we went there and she had not much clue about anything. There is a terrace which has the potential to be a decent common area but it has no roof which makes it very difficult to hangout there since it rained so much in Ooty.

It was a decent place to stay for a couple of days.

Lack of ventilation/windows in the rooms. No housekeeping for 2-3 days. Very far from the city centre.(Which is good or bad depending on how you like it) Room was very small for a 6 bed co-live.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly

My stay at Rastafari was simply excellent. The location is a little difficult to reach but it is worth the effort. The view from the terrace is just awesome. The rooms are clean and tidy. Smells fresh all the time The most important aspect are the owners who run the show. Amarendra and Antra are by far the best hosts I have seen. They spent most of the day from their busy schedule to take me around. They made me feel right at home. Keep it up guys !!!!

Good accommodation uphill. Nice views from the hostel. But one has to climb up the hill to reach the hostel. Response and amenities are good. Food delivery is available.

No wash basin in open spaces. One has to go to wash room for even hand wash

De tweepersoonskamer was groot en superschoon.voor het eerst een echte warme douche. Ook heerlijk om zonder airco te slapen. Een waterkoker aanwezig.

Vrij afgelegen, maar eten kon besteld worden via een app. Super snel bezorgd overigens.

The location, facilities and the Vibe. The rooms are clean and the house keeping was exceptional. The access to the property is a bit challenging and thrilling... They arranged a campfire on the top and enjoyed staying there. Made a couple of good friends 😀

The rooms are too cold. A Room heater could brighten up the space.

The views, the spacious dorm, comfortable bed and bathroom with functioning hot water.

The 15-20 minutes climb uphill from the bus stop is not suitable for someone with a roll on bag. Not the usual hostel associated with a warm ambiance and vibe, the presence and available or ready assistance of the owners, only a caretaker with intermittent presence, nobody to cheer up the place (which was already very cold, temperature wise!) This caretaker bungled up many things: the pick up at my arrival and even worse, for my departure, which made me miss the bus for my next destination! The fact that it was the morning after new year's eve was a lame excuse, he shouldn't have promised me then, and I would have looked for another means! He also neglected to have enough drinking water the 1st 2 days of my 3 night stay. We had to wait for hours to have a drinkable drop of water and this was frustrating because a hot drink at already 9 am would have warmed us up in the cold weather! And there wasn't a coffee place immediately around....So, maybe avoid staying there in winter!

I like the view and silent free zone from the city . For ltong stay it is a good place with a comfortable bed and Surrounds

It’s different vibe, you meet different people and the owner- antara and amrendra both are great Good behaviour. they provide campfire and talk with the staying people like a family. It’s just really good. I actually enjoyed staying there.

It was wonderful experience and staffs are very good.

Rastafari is situated at a beautiful hilltop with amazing views. We experienced the OG Ooty weather right from our bedroom balcony. Hosts, Amrendra and Antara are friendly and welcoming, and helped us explore the city too with some super useful suggestions. At the bonfires, expect Amrendra to share some mind boggling experiences from his travels. Not to mention their house help, Vicky, a superstar who helped us arrange a private taxi for sightseeing.

No soaps in the bathroom, but was provided on request. The floor gets very cold sometimes and could use some indoor footwear.

Away from hustle bustle of central Ooty..but not too far either. Amazing view of the valley and peaks.

Beautiful location with an amazing view into the valley on the rooftop terrace, cozy and clean place, no noise from the city, nice and helpful staff, they also helped book some day tour cabs and prepared bonfires on the rooftop in the evening, very affordable

Sound travels a lot from within the building, would have preferred a way to keep the dorm door shut without locking it, hard to find for delivery drivers but that's just minor things, it was overall a great stay

Cleanliness and view are the two most important qualities of this place. If we could we would stay longer. The staff is really helpful and great people to chat and chill. If u need food all deliveries from Ooty come in less than 30 min. Highly recommended!

The facilities were great.The best location in Ooty.The bonfire in night with the location is awesome.

Location is really nice, it's in the funcity on hill top. The owner is really nice and they hosted us like family members. They helped us in every manner possible. The space is very cozy and feels like home. The place is very clean and comfortable. There is seperate dorms for male and female. You can play a lot of games and guitar as well. There is bonfire at night. The helping staff too is really good.

The only thing was that auto people takes a lot of charge.

The owner was very good and friendly... He provided camp fire and created a very friendly environment and the inner ambience and the outer view both were exceptionally good. It was a total value for money and going to visit the property again soon and would also suggest others to visit.
