The aircon is cold and clean, the staff girl is friendly, sadly dont even get to know her name haha

There is no breakfast. If you need space, then please don't book a single-bed room; single-bed rooms are very tiny.

I booked a single bed room, which turned out to be very tiny, so I had to upgrade to a double bed room

I appreciated that I was able to leave my luggage there before heading to Sapa. The lift was also a convenient addition, especially when carrying heavy luggage.

I wasn’t happy with my checkout experience. The lady ran after me and asked for payment, even though I had already paid her earlier that morning. It was quite frustrating and made me feel uncomfortable.

Good hotel for the price

It’s a bit noisy but I sleep with earplugs so it wasn’t a problem for me

It is literally steps away from Ô Quan Chưởng. The area is filled with stores and restaurants open til the late hours of the day. What really makes the place cozy are the staff. Julie from the reception is really good in English and is really helpful. During my stay with the property, I booked a Ninh Binh Day Tour through them. During the tour I had a tiny accident: fell off the bike in the bike trails and got scratches and cuts. I immediately notified Julie and asked her if the hotel has a first aid kit I could use. Julie went out her way to buy me something to clean my wounds and got me a candy to come with the small kit. She didn’t even ask for any payment!

I didn’t like how the water smelled. Also when I initially checked in, the bed covers had a tiny smudge of who knows what.

Staff was very friendly and it was very good value for the price.

Nothing to complain about . This isn’t an ultra flash upmarket hotel but that wasn’t what I was looking for or expecting .

Location is 10/10 for old quarter right near everything!! Staff are fantastic and accommodating

Phòng hơi cũ mốc. Bồn cầu bị tắc vòi nước khó dùng phải bấm nhiều lần. Cống nhà tắm bị tắc phải 1h sau mới thoát hết.

Τα φίλτρα απο το air conditioner που πότε και σε κανένα ξενοδοχείο δεν είναι καθαρά. Πάντα με το που μπαίνω σε δωμάτιο ανοίγω το μπροστινο καπάκι και βγάζω τα πλαστικά φίλτρα. Νερό με πίεση και καθαρίζουν πολυ εύκολα. Τοποθέτηση ξανά και τότε το βάζω σε λειτουργία. Τόσο απλά

It was a very nice simple peaceful stay for a comfortable bed in a good location

Great location and helpful service.

Rooms smaller than they look in photos. Had to pay full overnight price to keep room on for 4hrs despite hotel not being full. This policy could be reviewed we did the same elsewhere around Vietnam without paying for full day.

Everything I needed for a quick one-night stay

No breakfast available - when I asked the staff member he just gave me a short “No”. Also they charged me extra for the bottle of water I took from the fridge in my room.

The location …still part of the action but able to live with local people going about their daily lives …good coffee shops and I had a window and balcony for me this is important …good bed

The location is perfect right in the heart of the old quarter a 5 to 10 minute walk to Beer St and the the night markets both are must see experience's in Hanoi. But the best thing about this place is Julie on the front desk she can organise anything for you at a great price she organised a phone credit recharge for me nearly half of what I paid at the airport and got me a cheap and convenient bus fare to Sapa ask her anything and she will help you My favourite place in Hanoi

​J'ai passé un excellent séjour au Hanoi City Gate Hotel. C'est un hôtel plutôt petit et intimiste, ce qui lui donne un côté chaleureux. Le personnel est extrêmement accueillant et toujours prêt à aider, et le ménage est fait de façon impeccable tous les jours. ​Ce qui m'a le plus impressionné, c'est le calme de ma chambre : malgré la proximité immédiate de la célèbre Beer Street, je n'entendais aucun bruit ni aucune résonance de la fête extérieure. C'est un vrai luxe dans ce quartier ! ​L'emplacement est parfait, juste à côté du marché. Dès que l'on sort de l'hôtel, on est plongé dans ce chaos bien organisé typique d'Hanoi, avec ses odeurs de cuisine de rue et ses nombreux cafés à proximité. Une adresse idéale pour vivre l'énergie de la ville tout en pouvant se reposer au calme.

Great location, right by all the action but still peaceful in the room. Bed was quite comfy.

Very small and basic. Run down, there was no safe as advertised and the fridge didn’t work for the first 2 days.

Nothing really, room was ok, bathroom old, much nicer hotels for less if you look around.

The mattress was so uncomfortable both myself and my wife hardly slept all night and both of us woke up with a sore back. We had booked for 3 nights but asked to leave after first night, the owner wasn't happy but eventually gave us a partial refund after charging us extra for the first night which I thought was a bit unfair, especially because we hardly got a wink of sleep. It wasn't the only room with a bad mattress apparently all the rooms have the same mattress.

Caro para lo que es. Pagamos 60 dolares la noche, no tiene desayuno, olía mal, el baño tenia una disposición extraña. No lo elegiría otra vez, llegamos allí porque el hotel reservado cancelo en ultimo momento

La cama era muy cómoda, la ubicación también era correcta.

La habitación era minúscula, la cama estaba encajonada y no había sitio para dejar las maletas si querías abrir las puertas, en el baño tenía que agacharme para entrar. La ubicación era buena, pero más que encanto, salir a la calle era una odisea de día, por la noche estaba vacía y daba gusto.
