Main Street Swinford!

Absolutely perfect place to stay for our trip. The central location was great and just what we needed. Communication with the owners was easy and they were super responsive. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed, including tea, coffee and cereal. The owners had left milk for us too so we could have a morning coffee! It is very clean and tidy and feels like a home from home.

Location was very good and central, with lots of parking. Open plan living and kitchen. Comfortable bedrooms.

A little road noise, but nothing that impacted our stay, and to be expected in a town.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. Very clean comfortable and fairly priced. The owner Cathal is a local man who met us the first day and was always very responsive. His local knowledge was a huge plus. We could not have been more pleased. 100% that when we return to Swinford we will be contacting Cathal.

Er is minder te doen dan bijvoorbeeld in Belmullet. Wel alle facilteiten maar niet of nauwelijks live muxiek.

Location and spotlessly clean. Large and spacious. Would definitely recommend. Gaining entry to apartment is simple and no noise from Main Street. Swinford is a gem. Food in Gateway hotel was terrific and Mellet’s down the street is a historic and fabulous public house.

The apartment is walking distance to all amenities in swinford. The apartment is great value for money. The apartment is exceptionally clean & spacious. This was our second stay in this property this year & we would highly recommend this apartment.

We booked this property for an overnight stay to facilitate an early departure from Knock Airport, having travelled from the East of Ireland. What a charming property and wonderful location. It would provide a excellent base for a family or group to explore the West of Ireland. The facilities were clean and there was some provisions left for our group. I would strongly recommend this facility to anyone.

We brought our own breakfast as we don’t eat cereal. Amenities were comfortable It was light and airy.

Heating was confusing and hot at night, would benefit from a sheet/coverlet on the bed rather than a quilt.

Location and parking

Downstairs on ground level is damp, which has been painted over so musky smell goes upstairs. Showers need replacing as they are useless as not enough power or gravity flow from shower head once attached to wall. Upstairs shower curtain too short, so if you do manage to get water out of shower by holding downwards, it floods the floor! Only one pillow per person, should be two. In main bedroom the velux curtain is broken. Some of lights didn't work. Extractor fan for oven doesn't work. Tv and digital box don't work properly and challenge to get channels. Outside is a dump...don't let young children out back unsupervised. General finish and attention to making place look nice is poor.

It is a great place to stay with amazing view. Very comfortable and very neat. Exceptional hospitality by the place owner. 🤍

Apartment in a great location. Plenty of space and had everything we needed. Was really clean and warm. Lovely living room area for sitting down to relax and watch TV. Plenty of eating and drinking options within walking distance if you don't feel like using your car. Cathal was really helpful and we will be back and recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Nothing to dislike

The host left cereals, milk, coffee and tea. It was very easy to check in and we were given a code for the key box and keys worked perfectly. He informed us we could have a late check out too which we were so grateful for. The house was large and spacious for all of us.

The owner was very personable and responded immediately and met us right on time with the keys. He gave recommendations for places to eat, for take away, and for coffee. Place was extremely clean and felt very homey. Location was central.

We stayed here Thursday 20th June 2024 Everything The location was ideal, so central walking distance from shops, restaurants & pubs. The accommodation was top class, so comfortable and ideal for us and our three teens . The host (Cathal) provided Tea,Coffee, milk, and bars for us to have a cuppa. He met us on arrival ( he was extremely obliging to facilitate our arrival time via text as we were unsure what time we would get there) and showed us around and gave us all the details of where to go in the area for food & a drink etc. Mellet's one of Irelands oldest pub is in Swinford, so we got to have a drink there on the night we arrived. We arrived in a fabulous spot. You could spend hours there looking at all the memorabilia in the place . And the service there is excellent too. Late checkout was welcomed as we were tired, and not having to rush out early the following morning was ideal. Cathal recommended a restaurant for breakfast the following morning in a place called "Lettuce Eat" and I would recommend it too even if you're only passing through Swinford, the venue, staff and food all top class . Forgot to ad this was excellent value. I wish we could have stayed longer, and I do hope to return here again in the future. Thanks Cathal we had a great stay. Best wishes for continued success.

This is a great 3 bedroom apartment in the centre of Swinford town close to shops, restuarants, pubs and local amenties such as Knock Airport and many beauty spots in the area. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The host, Cathal, was very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Fantastic accommodation, everything couldn't be more clean. Towels, hairdryer, iron, and ironing board, hot water on request. Rooms, extremely spacious and cosy, lovely beds and duvets. Excellent night sleep. Provisions provided, by excellent host Cahill, soda bread, milk, butter, and even chocolate bars 😉👍🏽. Fantastic location, on mains st., in centre of Swinford town. Cahill, the host, could not be more welcoming or friendly, and extremely OBLIGING. Definitely will be staying again, and would 100 % recommend a visit to anyone, travelling or passing through Swinford town.
