Lovely and welcoming with delicious baking and everything you could need for breakfast.
Lovely people, nice breakfast in our unit. Would stay there again.
Couldn't find a hairdryer, maybe I just didn't look hard enough, made for a very cold head on a cold winter morning
A beautiful atmosphere that is quiet and comforting. Cosy, well equipped and clean accommodation. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. They provide a personal touch of home made baking and a lovely selection of goodies for breakfast. Thank you so much 💓
It was easy to find and very clean
Super netter Host! Sehr gutes Frühstück! Das Haus wirkt wie eine Zeitreise in die 70er - aber alles ist in Top Zustand!
Close to where we needed to be
Perfect little place to stop and spend the night with lovely facilities and even lovelier people to deal with !!
The property was clean, convenient and comfortable. I loved the blueberry muffins. The chocolates were a very nice touch.
Beautiful property- walking distance to swing bridge. Owners thought of everything- lemon muffins were delicious
Graeme and Deborah were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout our stay. From the very first impression, they made us feel right at home with their warm and friendly hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable at all times. They also provided a lot of helpful information about the area and recommended several places we could visit, which was a really thoughtful and appreciated touch. We were greeted with a beautiful homemade chocolate cake, and they also prepared a fabulous breakfast. Their genuine care and attention to detail made our stay truly special. Thank you so much ❤️

The hosts were simply amazing ! Warm friendly and even surprised me with a lunch as I was leaving. Such a lovely place to stay with my dogs able to explore the grounds to their hearts content without me needing to worry about their safety
Very good variety of breakfast supplies and more than enough to choose from. We were met at the cottage and shown through with very clear instructions from the friendly owners
We don’t feel that there was anything we didn’t like.
Great Hosts. Gemütliche Unterkunft mit liebevoll vorbereiteten Speisen zum Frühstück (Muffins, Brot, hausgemachte Marmeladen etc.)
clean, in a quiet location and with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The supplied breakfast food was very substantial with a huge choice and probably enough to feed us for a week plus there was a fresh and still warm lemon cake waiting for us on arrival, a lovely bonus. Thank you so much
L'accueil était incroyable, merci encore. C'était de loin le meilleur B&B en 20 jours de voyage. Tout est absolument parfait, le logement, la situation et les équipements
Rien
I was perfect for what we needed. The hosts were very accomodating. We arrived with the dogs who were quite stressed but they settled well and it was safe and comfortable for them and us
After a month cycling across New Zealand this was the best stop by far !!!! Some were shinier , more glitzy but none matched the kindness and care from Graham and Deborah !!
Nothing
A lovely cottage stay, had everything with added extras from the hosts who were lovely & very helpful. Definitely would recommend.

Not just accommodation but a genuine retreat that instantly melts away stress of city life. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, offering sweeping views of Waikato countryside—a perfect place to disconnect and soak up peace and quiet. The setting truly is unparalleled. Waking up to sounds of birdsong and sipping coffee while gazing out over the rolling green hills is an experience you won't soon forget. The fresh country air, total silence provide an authentic, peaceful connection with nature. The cottage is immaculately clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated. Every detail, from the plush bedding, luxurious towels to the charming country furnishings, is carefully curated for superior guest comfort. It feels like a true home away from home, only far more relaxing and perfectly peaceful. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome by the thoughtful hosts. Their hospitality is truly second to none, creating a wonderfully warm and personalized experience. They’ve perfected the art of the "extra touch" that elevates a stay from great to extraordinary. The generosity extended most noticeably to the kitchen. Forget basic provisions; here, you are treated to all the breakfast supplies and more! The fridge was fully stocked with local, high-quality ingredients, ensuring our mornings were slow, indulgent, and easy. That level of care and consideration truly sets Fieldview BnB apart. Furthermore, the location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area, including the historic Arapuni dam and the famed Waikato River Trails, making it a perfect base for outdoor adventures before returning to this serene, rural haven. If you desire an authentic, deeply relaxing, genuinely welcoming country experience, book your stay here immediately.
No sign near the unit to say electric fence as my daughter-in-law put her leg against fence and got zapped.
The breakfast was adequate with delicious homemade jam. It was no trouble to drop off our bags earlier. Great shower. Lovely outlook.
Thank you so much for having us!
We needed a place close by to a wedding we were going to. They allowed us to check in a little early so we could change before the wedding and even left an ironing board out for us. Very considerate hosts who were quick to respond to communications. Great selection of basic breakfast foods and some pieces of homemade banana cake!
Location right along the Waikato River Trail was very convenient for touring cyclists. Not many places to stay in Arapuni so I'm glad we snagged this one. The owners are extremely warm and welcoming, with excellent suggestions for the rest of our journey. The accomodation is quaint, the grounds are beautiful, the dogs are friendly, and there was plenty of food for breakfast. Espresso machine to boot!
We loved the birdsong and the quiet surrounds. Graham and Debbie were lovely hosts stopping by to let us know of interesting and varied experiences in the area. The cottage was well supplied with everything you need. The home baked lemon drizzle cake was a bonus
We didn't find anything not to like
Funky retro B&B that was very clean. Greeted by owner. Everything you need and includes breakfast. Home made preserves and Ginger crunch! Well priced. Highly recommend
Very knowledgeable and helpful and host, Graham. All exellent.
No problems at all.
Many thanks -lovely comfortable place, welcoming hosts and great choice of goodies left out for us for breakfast
Just a fab place... so welcoming and knowledgeable.
A super cute wee cottage in a quiet rural setting with little extras such as fruit, biscuits and chocolates as well as breakfast provisions and a real coffee machine. We booked in very last minute and our lovely host was very friendly and helpful.
The owners were very welcoming and generous leaving all sorts of provisions for our stay. We arrived late on and as we didn't have any dinner, that was also kindly offered, just amazing hosts. The cottage is old fashioned, but extremely comfortable a lovely place to stay and close to Hobbiton and Rotorua too.
The master bed is sort of in the living room, but not a major issue.
Wonderful baking and so well provided. Comfortable bed and great shower!
Everything great
Location is very peaceful. A perfect resting place after a day of tramping, cycling, rock climbing or whatever. Comfortable bed, great shower, all the cooking facilities and a good tv. Thanks for a great stay.
Comfort hosts were great very welcoming with two friendly dogs Highly reccomed
Just a bit cold
Security, comfort, home grown produce
The owners Deborah and Graham were very welcoming. Homemade Lemon muffins and fruity loaf - just delicious. Also fresh mandarins, lemons, honey, homemade jam and marmalade. Two lovely dogs - wonderful.
weather wasn't fantastic but we got through it.
We were blown away by the section of food on offer. Cereal, home made delicious lemon drizzle cake, espresso machine, fruit. The stay was exceptional.
Perfect! Here’s a revised version of the review tailored for a bed and breakfast that’s a single-room house: I had a wonderful stay at this charming guesthouse. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. The space is perfect—cozy, very clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel comfortable. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant place to stay.
Very cosy and well laid out
The hosts were really accomodating and greeted us when when got there. The cottage was well equipped. It was the first time we stayed at a B & B we loved it.
Lovely BnB. Friendly hosts, lovely breakfast and amenties. One of the nicest places we have stayed in. Great hospitality and home baking was added bonus.
All great.
Lovely hosts! Best hosts ever. We enjoyed their homemade muffins and rhubarb jam. The place was also very clean. Will definitely go back again if in that area
cozy place, nice layout, lovely hosts (thank you for all the food items), adorable dogs, wonderful, pieceful area - definitely recommend!
We had a great stay! The place felt homely and cozy, with a quiet atmosphere and beautiful, convenient surroundings. The breakfast was delicious—especially the homemade lemon cake and cookies, which were absolutely yummy! The host and hostess were incredibly warm and welcoming, and their two adorable dogs made the experience even more special. We’ll definitely visit again next time!
The hostess was so welcoming. We had a fridge full of goodies when we checked in. And also a loaf of fresh baked bread and freshly picked tomatoes . The cottage was so peaceful and tranquil. Lots of activities nearby like the swing bridge and the dam. It was wonderful to be able to just to sit back and look at the stars. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage. . Will definitely return.
This would have to be 'thee' best b n b we have ever stayed in to date, everything was just top notch and far exceeded our expectations , the whole experience was truly made quite magical by the hosts and their beautiful fur babies, Ruby and Maya , they were the most friendliest and helpful couple, Deborah went out of her way to take us around to the local walks and to show us the attractions of the area so we knew where to go the following day when heading out on our adventures and Graeme who landscaped the whole area into the gorgeous place it is took us on a tour of the gardens and taught us very interesting tips along the way, upon arriving we were greeted with beautiful home baked sultana loaf and a fridge and pantry full of goodies for breakfast the next day, their two dogs Ruby and Maya are so gorgeous and friendly and really added to the experience, the room itself was well appointed and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay, would highly recommend this place and exploring the beautiful area of which its located, we will certainly be back to finish off our explorations of this magical place.
Absolutely nothing to fault
The Hosts, the facilities and location
Our hosts, Deborah and Graeme were lovely, friendly and very hospitable. Enjoyed chatting to them and adored their beautiful dogs, Maya and Ruby. The home was exactly as pictured - very homely, comfortable and well decorated with lots of little thoughtful touches like fresh flowers. It felt like a home away from home. A stocked pantry with a variety of breakfast cereal choices, freshly baked bread and biscuits, stewed fruit, yoghurt, eggs and jams - the choices were so many. Top that with chocolates too, made our evening. Thanks for the wonderful time we had at your beautiful place. We will surely be back.
Welcoming clean and very cozy, and had everything sorted for our stay, even had home made bread and stewed pears. Cupboards were stocked along with the fridge. Only spent the night but wished I'd planned for a longer stay. Would definitely stay there again.
Lovely warm and welcoming hosts with great amenities. Provided yummy goodies, chocolates, biscuits, fresh poached pears, lots of options for breakfast. Nice hot shower with good pressure and great Internet speed and TV. Off street secure parking. Beautifully set, surrounded by farm lands and gardens. Beautiful outside fire. Highly recommended for 1 night or long stay. God bless you Graham and Deborah.
wonderful hosts. All was as good as could be and breakfast was sufficient and tasty
The hosts (Graeme and Deborah) go above and beyond with making your stay memorable. We had a freshly baked chocolate cake, fresh goodies from their garden, in addition to a well stocked supply of breakfast items. We woke up one morning listening to the magpies (birds) singing and the dairy cows next door right up against the fence within arms reach, ending the day watching and hearing the kākās (parrots) flying overhead - making us feel like it was a farm stay. An easy 30 minute drive to Hobbiton and 1hr to Waitomo Caves, plus an enjoyable short walk to riverside trails and suspension bridge make this an ideal location.
The hosts I’m sure would remedy shortcomings promptly. We however found none.
The hosts are very thoughtful, they provided everything we need!
Nothing about it
A quaint and cozy cottage, nicely off the road and surrounded by countryside, so very quiet. Kitchen facilities were very good and comprehensive, including a 'proper' coffee machine!
We wondered whether the addition of a small dining table might be useful?
What a fabulous little spot to stay!! Graeme and Deborah are simply the sweetest, most hospitable people that clearly care so much for making each guest as comfortable as possible. My partner and I were pleasantly surprised to find that they provided a wide variety of little foods for our breakfasts, including eggs, jams, breads, bananas, oatmeal, cereals, and even homemade muffins!! They were so thoughtful to find bread that could accommodate my partner's allergies, which was so compassionate of them. The room was spotless and very cozy, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the views. Graeme is a landscaper so they have decorated the grounds with beautiful flowers and their garden plants--absolutely lovely framing for the quaint pastures the property backs up against. Couldn't give higher recommendations!!
I have no negatives at all!! You'd be missing out not to stay here and meet these lovely people!!
Lovely quiet location. Friendly, helpful host. Homely touches - home cooked muffins, chocolates, fruit provided
Everything, just felt like a home away from home, the host Graeme and Deborah was very hospitable and my two dogs absolutely loved there little get away as well, just a warm environment and it was a comfortable stay
I have nothing bad to say about the bnb, everything was exceptional, the little treats they leave for there guest, very touching, the host are very humble, down to earth people and so happy they welcomed my dogs
Deborah and Graeme the host were so welcoming, friendly, absolutely amazing would highly recommend this place to friends and family, thank you for being welcoming to my two dogs
Nothing, I absolutely loved the character of the accommodation exceeded my expectations
Great hosts who went out of their way to be welcoming. Flowers in the room, cake and biscuits. Toast, cereal, yogurt, eggs available for breakfast. Coffee machine
It would be nice to have a table to sit at inside. Its location suited us very well but it was quite pricey for what it was. There is nowhere to buy groceries or eat out. Not a problem for us!
Lovely countryside setting. Quiet. Friendly, helpful host. Handy to places we wanted to visit.
We loved our stay, our host greeted us upon arrival, showed us how to work everything and gave us lots of tips for our trip. We were very thankful for the comfy bed after a long day of cycling.
The felt like a little home away from home. It had everything you would need for your stay. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings peaceful. The Hosts were amazing, went way beyond to accommodate us and be helpful.
Everything was wonderful. The owners were very friendly, the place is clean and spacious. We had a great time there and felt at home.
Quaint and cozy place! Had everything we needed and the location is a great jumping off spot if you are visiting Hobbiton. Hosts were so kind and welcoming. 10/10 would stay here again!
stay was exceptional and there were lots of snacks and homemade stewed rhubarb which was a real treat. clean tidy and quiet. everything you needed for a comfy stay
The facilities were fantastic though I would have loved a couple of bigger frying pans and a grater but was able to make do. only nit picking. I'm sure if I had asked to borrow one that wouldn't have been a problem.
The place is very nice, it has a small bedroom and a larger one with a small living room. The shower has good heating. The kitchen is very compact, it is possible to prepare a good breakfast and heat up some food in the electric oven. The hosts are very cordial and friendly, they exceed all expectations.
Everything - location, hosts, facilities, breakfast, coffee machine, delicious lemon muffins
Nothing
Great cottage, with fantastic surrounds.
Everything, lovely cottage and privacy, warm home, host had turned heater on before we arrived, and porch light, didn’t need to go out for breakfast and they also provided it, lovely welcoming couple
The Hosts were very helpful and extremely friendly. They let us know of a local place to explore and possible places to visit on our future journey. They went above and beyond and helped my Mom make cups of really good coffee on their machine! We heartily recommend the hosts and their scenic, quiet place to stay!! We went to Hobbiton and it the bnb was a short distance away. Wonderful time, would stay there again if in the area.
The location seems a little 'out of the way'. Yet, since I have a car found it easy to get to the places I need to be. The truth is that I would not have considered it because of the apparent isolation. The 'Field Days' meant that my choices were very limited. And I'm glad they were. The property was cosy, warm, and private. The bed very comfortable, and the facilities were fine. Even has a Espresso machine! Graeme was a thoughtful and kind host. If I had cause to return to the region would definitely stay again.
Breakfast was continemtal and had everything one could want. Kind hosts had room warm for us as we had to travel a long way and got in late. Nice little touch was free biscuits with our cuppa. We will return and recommend this lovely place to everyone.
