It was a great location.
There was no clear signs for how to find their parking area so we had to park across the street for 5x more for one night... The hotel would need some maintenance as a lot of things were either broken or falling apart in the rooms.
I love these grand old hotels. Great value for money with easy parking
Hotel need TLC, but to be expected!
Hotel needs some refurbishment. Looks a bit rundown
the room was good i booked a single room and got a city double room which was a bonus and the bedding was good and clean and the bathroom was good breakfast was good overall it was a good stay and would stay again
the tv could have been opposite the bed so can watch tv in bed easily
The worst hotel I have ever lodged in. The rooms are not fit for dogs not to talk of human being. I am still in pains from the bed all my body irked with pains. The bed very bad. The first room I was given was smelling. I ask for another room same. I would have left to another hotel but I already paid and was tired for driving from London. I will not recommend it to any one. It seems like a hide out for criminals and junkies police re their to make arrest.
Everything
Very lovely hotel. Very clean and staff very friendly. Unfortunately restaurant was shut Friday and Saturday so couldn't get food there. The advertisement doesnt advise fact its £5 daily to park and that the walk to town although not too far was downhill, hence uphill to come back. Floor very lumpy which couldn't be seen because of the lovely new carpet hiding them. Hence I had a fall in the restaurant on Sunday the first meal we could get there which was a very nice breakfast
Couldn't get food there 2 days for some reason. Steep hill to come back up from town . Lumpy floor
To describe this place as a piss heads paradise would be an understatement. After being kept awake by some guy kicking doors, screaming in the hallways hes going to kill everyone and arguing with himself i went downstairs to speak to reception and found drunk people sleeping in areas of the bar some guy stood on reception look like he pissed himself. Was clear we made a big mistake booking this hotel. After hours of not being able to sleep we were eventually (at 3am) able to move rooms. Avoid this hotel like the plague.
Entrainment.
Breakfast was cold.very noisy.eco.needs a lot to do really
Can't comment on much as I ended up not staying there. Arrived after 23:00 hrs as I was on a late ferry from Jersey to Poole. The car park was rammed and there seemed to be vehicles being driven by morons foe some reason. There were lots of young men hanging about waving bottles of alcohol - one i think had a bottle cooler (possibly containing drugs) - a car associated with them drove in for some reason or other, probably for nefarious reasons. Wish I'd read the reviews on Trip Adviser before I booked it. Felt like South Compton circa 1994 but with beer bottles in place of the sideways Glocks! Ended up getting a Travellodge near Newbury (I think🤔 ) at around 01:20 instead.
The location was pretty good
The bedroom was tiny and very rundown. There was a utility pipe underneath it, which made it really hot. I had to have the window wide opened and there was lots of ventilation fans and noise that kept me up through the night.
Nice location, fair price parking for the night/day
Bed was so uncomfortable was honestly no point in the mattress, previous guests sauce pot was open and under the bed, window ledge outside was full of cigarette ends and an obvious cigarette burn in the nets on the window, lights are very bright and shine in even with the curtains shut, every other floor board squeaks so all night and morning can hear everyone coming and going
Moderate
Price and location
Night staff’s rude attitude, room wasn’t serviced, shower was a trickle
Good enough
Locations
1st time staying here and Iit was a very enjoyable stay. Lovely room, clean, comfortable bed . Bought my small dog with me and didn't think I could take him in for the entertainment but realised too late that I could have but didn't ruin my stay. Would definitely stay again! X
Dog wasn't allowed in lobby bar as there was a notice but took drinks into the garden as weather was nice thankfully. Could've done with extra pillows but nothing major. Overall enjoyed hotel xx
The staff are very friendly i have stayed in the hotel due to personal circumstances a few times over the last few weeks with my pet. The food is good. Loved seeing the goats on the clifftop.
The only downside was the rooms are a little dated.
Having a car park on site
I'll fitting toilet seat
Lovely staff, great stay! Great value for money.
My room didn't have a full length mirror, this was a very terrible experience for me. I like to look and see my outfit when I go somewhere to stay. I like to buy clothes usually when I go somewhere and getting ready and feeling cute was not something I could properly enjoy!
Value for money and excellent staff
Clean Good value polite staff
Nothing to dislike
Friendly staff, great entertainment and great value for money
Slightly dated furniture and bathroom
Breakfast was reasonably good. The hotel was very clean and so were the bed linen and towels. We enjoyed the entertainment on Thursday and Friday nights. The staff we had contact with were very pleasant and helpful
There was a lift which was needed for my friend who is not very mobile. However, our 2 rooms were above the level where the lift stopped and we had to climb a flight of stairs. Although the rooms were clean, they were quite tired looking. The bathrooms were not good. In fact neither of us was able to use the shower. The bath in my friend's room was badly stained.. Also in my friend's room (324) several electrical sockets didn't work and the TV was very poor and the curtains didn't hang properly
Nothing. Bad people, bad hotel
They are criminals. Took my money and turned me away. I didn't stay and refused to return my money
The location was nice as it was close to the sea and beach. The staff were very friendly and the interior decor was appealing. It was a short walk away from local food shops which was convenient, especially as they were open at night.
The bed was uncomfortable and hard to sleep in, however for the value for money it was passable. Wouldn't recommend the double sized beds, but the singles were passable.
??🤔
Tired hotel. No TV Reception
the beds was comfortable, the parking close to the hotel
I lot extra charges - parking, pets, deposit ... no beds or balls or bows for pets in the hotel ... some of the guests they didn't charge, but most they charge .... (one guest was they with 3 dogs and they did'nt charge him, didn't take deposit from him)
This was a lovely stay, comfortable. Beautiful in Bournemouth over all.
Everything good, no complaints
No complaints
friendly staff and very helpful throughout the stay. We were satisfied with the hotel and staff very polite.
No concerns to comment on.
The hotel was very close to the beach and the family room was very spacious
The water pressure in the shower was really low
Nice staff on desk
Had problems getting free wifi, TV was not tuned and the quality of picture was very bad. Go lose finding room like a maze the floors were.
that hotel was in good location
I left my power bank in side room..but hotel staff not contact with me about return that power bank and in shower water was very hot..normal water not coming
Just location.
Near bech
Allowed a bed
Not allowed towels or toilet paper
The space
The shower didn't work. Not enough water to have a good bath. The pillow was smelling bad
I didn't stay for breakfast but staff were very helpful and friendly, rooms were clean but carpet has seen better days 🙂
Hotel is very dated and my bed was hard, the stairs on the 3rd floor creakas people walk by your room. Not ideal
Location. Cost. Parking.
More choice on menu for evening meal. Some entertainment in evening. Plunge pool inside.
Great location, friendly staff, car park facility
The interior was very basic and extremely dated. I have not expected a luxurious one for that price but a sink with 2 taps sounds like a different era 😅!!!
Slept well
Dated room needs a serious refresh No plug on the sink Bath was not clean on arrival
The food and restaurant are really nice
The rooms are outdated, need proper modern upgrades. TV not working properly.
Staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, beds comfortable, loved the entertainment, would stay again , but only in exective twin room
Fire alarm going off lifts not working
Good sized rooms, easy parking and most helpful, friendly staff. It was excellent value and I'd happily stay again
Breakfast Very good.
The noise during the night from some guests talking shouting loudly? Aurgueing it sounded like kept us awake.
Property was in a good location close to beach and not far from town
Over priced for the room , £140 for one night, which had no mini fridge to keep drinks , television had no signal, bath was not in great condition looked dirty . Windows only opened an inch and was very warm . Dont go to the bar , £3.15 just for a can of diet coke
Location
Comfort
We really enjoyed the location of the hotel. The outdoor surroundings were beautiful, and it was lovely to be so close to the sea.
We enjoyed the hotel’s location, the beautiful outdoor area and the fact that it is so close to the sea. Unfortunately, however, there were several aspects of our stay that were disappointing. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and very hard. We both woke up with neck pain, which had a negative impact on our stay and our sleep. The bathroom also needs attention. There were not enough hooks for hanging towels and clothes, and unfortunately it was not as clean as we expected. There was a noticeable amount of dust on the ceiling, which made the bathroom feel neglected. What we found particularly disappointing was overhearing hotel staff complaining about their workload. I understand and speak Russian, so I could clearly understand what was being said. The staff were discussing how they had only vacuumed the corridor the previous day, yet there was already rubbish again and they would have to vacuum it once more. As a guest, hearing employees complain about having to clean the hotel was uncomfortable and unpleasant. We completely understand that cleaning is hard work, but these kinds of conversations should really be kept away from guests. It creates a negative impression and does not reflect well on the hotel or its level of hospitality. The hotel has a lot of potential, especially because of its excellent location and lovely outdoor surroundings, but cleanliness, comfort and staff professionalism are areas that definitely need improvement.

Areas to consider
Cleanliness
4.5/10Mixed reports: some guests call the hotel very clean, but several detailed complaints (cobwebs, rooms not cleaned daily, no clean towels) indicate poor and inconsistent housekeeping.
Service
8.8/10Consistently positive: many reviews highlight very friendly, helpful and professional staff; multiple guests specifically praise the staff and repeat visits.
Location
9/10Very strong: repeatedly noted as close to the beach, convenient for arrival (train) and with a pleasant garden; many guests cite location as a primary pro.
Room Quality
4.8/10Generally poor: frequent complaints about outdated decor, small/tiny bathrooms, furniture damage, windows that don't open, rooms that overheat (e.g. room 123) and safety concerns (shaky elevator, no door lock).
Amenities
4.6/10Below average: multiple mentions of no air conditioning, no fridge, limited/poor power outlets, minimal toiletries (only hand soap), broken vending machine and other maintenance issues.
Value for Money
5.5/10Mixed to low: a few guests find the price fair, but several explicitly state poor value or overpricing given the condition and missing amenities.
Food and Beverage
8/10Generally positive: multiple mentions of excellent breakfast and dinner, fresh tasty food and live music at night; F&B is a clear strength for many guests.
Overall Experience
8.4/10Mixed but often positive: many guests describe a welcoming, enjoyable stay (repeat visitors, friendly staff, good F&B and location), though significant maintenance and cleanliness issues lower satisfaction for others.
