Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The room was clean and comfortable with private bathroom. Plenty of plug sockets and storage. TV in room and kettle. Microwave and iron downstairs. Owner on hand if you have any issues. All access details sent on the day of arrival. Location was excellent.
At the time of booking I requested a ground floor room or low level as wife has mobility issues. We were allocated a room on the top floor which is up 4 flights of stairs, we were unable to carry her wheelchair to the top floor so I had to leave it in the car when not in use. I haven't formally complained about this because this may have been the only triple room they have, would have been nice to have been informed so we could have made an informed decision. The self check in and door access codes. In principle this is a great idea but boy did this cause me some grief. On arrival I had to call for assistance as I couldn't get into my room as I had no knowledge of how to operate the key pad, then the code repeatedly failed to gain access. Staff did turn up within a couple of minutes but nothing further needed from them. We went out for the evening and returned about midnight, we were locked out of our room for about 25 minutes repeatedly trying the allocated code, I'd just pulled my phone out to wake the owner when finally some gave and the door opened. We had some rest but at around 0630 hrs someone woke us trying to what sounded like trying to kick the front door in at our hotel to get somebody's attention, screaming, shouting, banging constantly for about 10 minutes telling them to open up and that they are late.. That was it then. We were awake.
Great size room, location helpful staff
Beds u comfy came home to find bitten by bed buhs
Comfortable beds, liked the coded access to the hotel & rooms
Self checkin and checkout. No disturbances. Clean and calm.
Nothing.
I stay at the Astoria for work about one to three times a week, and it’s honestly a perfect setup for me. The smart check-in is such a lifesaver. I get a message around 11 AM with the door codes and room number, so there’s no waiting at reception or unnecessary hassle. I just arrive, open the door with the code, and I’m settled in. The rooms are always clean, everything works properly, and the location couldn’t be better—everything I need is close by. For business trips, it’s flawless.
Amazing hotel clean n comfortable , defo be back
Nothing
For around £70 per night for three people over the August Bank Holiday, we thought it was good value for a very central Blackpool location. The beds were clean and comfortable and the shower was genuinely excellent. The TV worked well and having Netflix available was a nice bonus. There was also an extraordinary number of plug sockets in Room 4 — we counted sixteen! The location worked brilliantly for us. We were within easy reach of the seafront, attractions, shops and places to eat, so it made a very convenient base for our weekend. Despite the problems mentioned below, we weren't disappointed with what we got for the price. We wanted somewhere affordable, central and comfortable enough to sleep after busy days in Blackpool, and it did that. Knowing what to expect, we would actually stay again.
Cleanliness and maintenance could definitely be improved. All three cups in our room had residue on them and the kettle filter was very dirty, so we cleaned everything ourselves and eventually bought our own cups. There was also visible mould in the small en-suite bathroom and no extractor fan. The room became extremely warm and the window only opened a small amount, so ventilation was poor. Communication was also limited. The room code we were initially given didn't work and, although this was eventually resolved, we found it difficult to get responses. We only saw cleaners when we arrived and didn't encounter any other obvious staff during our three-night stay. There was a regular strong smell of cannabis throughout the building. Noise may also be worth considering for families. Our room backed onto a backstreet/alley surrounded by other accommodation and sound travelled extremely clearly between the buildings. Late at night and into the early hours we could clearly hear people having sex in neighbouring properties. We were travelling with our 13-year-old daughter, which made the first night particularly awkward! Obviously the hotel cannot control what people in neighbouring properties do, but families may appreciate knowing how clearly the sound carries into the room.
Nothing it was to noisy and the front door was opening and closing all night and the private flat on the ground floor was people in and out all night and the noise was loud people shouting etc.
The room was not the room I booked on photos the room was dirty marks on carpets beds has stains and rips in the bathroom was all mouldy the shower door was broke the windows was filthy hall lights on and off all night even when no one was outside it was shining through the big gap at bottom of door.
The easy check-in. The single room is decent, comfy and airy. Good shower clean bathroom.
Door code did not work on the morning of check out. Issue resovled promptly which was good.
location is good and convenient.
The room was not clean. Lot of black spots on the duvet and bed sheet cover were found. Some dark damps were found near the shower cabinet. Its location looks so weird and not safe, with some guys gathered, chatting and smoking downstairs during the whole day.
Location, near the station, the gig venue i attended and also the sea front Check in was so easy Place was clean and well looked after Felt really safe with the coded doors rather than having a key
Everything ! I have stayed here a few times and I have never had a problem

Location is fabulous, in the middle of everything
Room was dirty, dirty walls, windows, headboards with a lot of dust, carpet with hairs and spills, toilet wasn't clean, shower head in condition that my son refuse to shower.
Room was ok
The stairs was really difficult we was disappointed that we had no tv channels also steaming service
Location is great, and it's very cheap. You know what you're getting. The code entry is simple and we had no problems accessing the hotel or our room. The receptionist (not on site) replied quickly to a message about check-out. For the price, it's fine for one night but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.
The rooms are not very clean. The bedding and headboard had stains; floors could have done with a hoover; skirting and walls all had marks and stains; drinking glasses had marks (didn't use the cups); bathroom overall was quite dirty. Room was hot - could have done with a fan (but this would have been a bonus rather than a necessity).
It was clean and tidy compared to places I have stayed at in Black previously
Good location, on street behind coral island, comfy beds, netflixs in room, basic rooms but all you need for a quick weekend away.
Walls and ceiling thin, but any noise from other rooms didn't disturb sleep.
Location
When we arrived, the room was extremely hot,the bedroom had no air conditioning, and when I asked for a fan, I was instructed to go find one for myself. The most bothersome thing was that there was a dead bird on the roof near my window.the stench prevented me from opening the window, so I had to send a message and any picture of the bird before it was taken down. Will never make another reservation at this hotel..
WILL DEFINITELY COME HERE AGAIN!!! good value hotel, couldn’t be any more perfect for my stay, very clean room and comfy bed very quiet stay was perfect for me and my baby also very close to coral island and town we come to this hotel every time we go to Blackpool and will continue to do so
The location was great, the room was lovely and the beds were comfortable. I really liked the smart tv and having the option to sign into your own Netflix etc. Also really appreciated the ironing room and the self check in/keypad entry was brilliant.
Good value
No problems
Good
Keyless
The room was lovely and big plenty of space and sunlight through big windows was lovely and clean room and huge bathroom would definitely recommend and wil be coming back very soon
That we had to leave
The room was spacious.
An awful smell hits as soon as you enter the front door. Whether it’s smoke or pet hairs, the room definitely didn’t feel clean. The smell was so overwhelming it made it difficult to sleep as we felt congested/ill and developed a cough. The room had visibly not been cleaned, marks on the bedsheets, black mould in the bathroom, stains on the blinds, thick layers of dust everywhere!
The room was lovely comfortable

Get what you pay for but good value for money
Clean and good value for money
No problems
Location, price, easy of check in
Only a few things no hand towels or floor towels for the shower these would of been a welcome extra
The location was the only good thing
There was a damp, musty smell as soon as we got through the front door. The room also smelt and was filthy. There was no hanging space at all for clothes. The shower door was off the runners so didn't close (not that I attempted to use the filthy shower)
Clean and easy check in
The room was bright and airy, nice comfy bed with clean soft linen. Tv, kettle and cool bedside lamp all worked and the shower was good, electric with decent hot water. The entry to hotel is done by digital door codes which works really well. Also slighty earlier check in is very good.
Sometimes outside noise can be a bit of a distraction at times, but everybody seems happy and respectful.
everything... nearly Loved the price and location and general appearance..
Only films on the television... no channels, but I didn't go to watch TV...
It’s location was brilliant facilities were great for what we needed the host Richard and Donna were brilliant very accommodating and Richard went out his way to get me car parking I would go back there anytime
The heat on the top floor was intense but bearing in mind it was 20 odd degrees outside
Everything was so dirty and smelly even tho I complained they said we checked it as everything was completely fine🙄 obviously it wasn’t. It was too hot I requested for fans but they said we can’t provide you, you can buy your own. The room was very stuffy as everything was so close together in a small room😡 absolutely disgusting and unsanitary environment with stained bed sheets, fungus growing in the bathroom and in general just a stuffy unhygienic room. Terrible for none smoke households as the smell is unbearable😓 If you are looking to stay awake all night definitely come to this hotel as you just hear drunk people screaming all night and won’t get a wink of sleep!!
Nothing
I like the fact that it was very very close to where we were working, and the room itself wasn't bad at all it was comfortable, everything was very okay actually
I didn't like the fact that we couldn't drop our things at the hotel as we came very early than anticipated but it was fair enough given the time we were told to check in was later in the day, there also wasn't any mat or floor covering to dry up the bathroom floors which wasn't nice and there was a bit of dirt and stains on the rugs and walls here and there but overall it wasn't too bad at all.
Beds were atleast comfortable
Rooms was dirty,it was clearly not cleaned, hair all over the floor, sticky marks on table and shower was not touched at all.We only stayed as my wife wasn't feeling well and it has being a long day. Never in my life have I seen a guest house in such a state.
Very good location. Very modern rooms excellent stay
Directly behind cole island
The room spotless beds comfy the WiFi best I've had in Blackpool been coming 10 years I booked it 750 pm was in hotel before 8pm
Nothing
Location
I wasn’t able to check into the hotel as room wasn’t available after booking and moves to a different hotel after 3 hours wait and the room wasn’t clean or safe to stay in
The room was beautiful and clean beds were so comfortable felt really safe very quiet. It was very chilled and a lovely atmosphere about the place 😊 highly recommend 👌 the location is great also definitely will be returning again 😀
Honestly cant fault any of it
I booked twin beds for 2 nights £50 for me and my son, with en suite, so its equivalent to £12.50pp per night...very clean and great TV with Netflix fab touch, I should say you should get normal free view because I was unable to watch World Cup on BBC or itv but its not enough to mark you down, GREAT LOCATION GREAT ROOM 10/10 for me 💯 would come again, I marked 1 point down as I didnt see any staff throughout my stay, other than that if my room is anything to go by...you won't be disappointed 😬xx
Nothing
Almost everything. As close to perfection as possible.
Only one thing. It was last minute for getting the door codes and I got worried so I contacted reception. The man I spoke to was a bit rude and abrupt. He seemed to be implying I was intending to want to access the room early. I wasn't. I tried to explain I was just concerned but he talked over me and was very offhand. It was the first time I booked there. This has put me off to be honest which is a shame because other than that everything was exceptionally great.
Absolutely spotless and very quiet, perfect location and very good value for money
Only a few yards away from the town centre
Location
Very noisy from neighbouring hotels till late and loud music after both of us having illnesses we just wanted a nice few days break but spoilt by loud music
The room is in a great location near the Blackpool Tower and main shopping centre. Clean, comfortable, and great value for money.

Bed was comfy, clean bedding tv with Netflix
It was filthy, the skirtings were thick of dust and muck, the shower plug was disgusting, had not been cleaned in a long time!! It stunk like foist/damp when walked into the property, couldn’t see out of windows as were that filthy, and windows didn’t shut properly
Locatuon was perfect
Clean and tidy
Value for money
stayed here before everything ok clean room, comfy bed, large shower, will stay again, the TV didn't work as previous guests had changed the code even though there is a sign asking not too ,wasn't a problem for us and not the owners fault .
Wonderful. Right in the middle of Blackpool five mins walk to town centre, shops, bars, seafront, tower, pier, everything you want from Blackpool really. Up a quiet side street so not noisy in the night at all. Nice clean little room, bed, shower, toilet, all I need, perfect. Easy access with key codes, no worries about getting/losing keys. And the price is amazing. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Blackpool.
It smelt.was very unclean
Beds were really comfortable, easy touch screen to enter, great location
Towels were a bit small and a shower mat needed
Central to all your needs, the price was really good really comfortable bed and was happy with my stay.
I would of liked to stay longer.
Very close to the town and close to the nightly entertainment nearby
To many stairs.
Room was a good size, great shower, tv with netflix and disney on.
Not enough glasses and mugs, dirty glass. What looked like fag ash on the window sill. No hand towel. Floor needed a good hoover. Toilet flush button not fitted properly
Location
No staff had to phone to get toiletries clean towels was there 4 days beds weren't changed
Cheap and cheerful. Room clean, good decor. Excellent having Netflix
I'm fussy and found the bed a little uncomfortable
Was lovely and clean. Beds wee comfy
I was on the top floor and struggled with our luggage
Nothing
People doing drugs outside then coming into building, not staffed just given a code to get in felt unsafe and had to purchase another hotel
Comfy an nice an clean great location would recommend
This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we loved it so decided to come back. Room was perfect and clean and Internet here was very good.
I cant fault this hotel
Just amazing location in the very city center and a few minutes walk from Winter Gardens
Nothing.
Everything about this place was straight out of a horror story. Bitten by fleas bedding stunk of stale cigarette smoke, one bed had fag ash under the pillow the shower cubicle was grimy on the doors, the main entrance had a stale smoke smell. It was so bad we came home after the first night. Signs of smoking out the window not been cleaned. Overall it was filthy and spoilt the time away we had planned to see family. Thanks for the unpleasant memories.
Лише розташування , більше нічого
Номери дуже маленькі та брудні, брудно всюди - стіни, килим, мебель, у душовій пліснява, брудна сантехніка. Все погано.
The self service reception was a first for me and I rather liked it. Received a text message on the day of the bookng, during the morning with information reagarding the self service check-in. Door codes provided and good accurate information. The room was a small double on the top floor. Comfy bed, clean linen, good bathroom, decent size with a lovely shower and hot water, instantly from the new basin tap, very good. Nice clean towels too.
The shower walk in door was a bit loose or wonky. Drainage from the shower was too slow. A little noisey at times from other residents, but that was okay.
Value for money.Clean large room, big windows lovely bathroom.Tea,coffee provided
People outside downstairs smoking so could not have window open.Very noisy people in nearby room one night, but
Conveniently placed to the centre
Street can get a bit wild
I liked the location and the beds were comfortable
Ok so we got there, and we have to use pads and codes instead of keys which for me wasn't a problem but my dad and his partner really struggled with there's, firstly they couldn't get into their room because the pad ran out of battery 🫣, ok its not a biggy but when you've been travelling and walking around you just want to chill for a bit, someone came round within 10 mins so it was sorted its just that it shouldn't really be running out of battery! Then at 12 am they came back and they couldn't get into their room because they couldn't work the pad so they had to wake me up so I could get them in their room, can't beat a good old key! Lol..the cleanliness wasn't that good 2bh, the skirting boards were full of dust and on the drawers were spillage down them.
Clean nice rooms bed so comfortable
Nothing wrong with it
Great value for money. Comfy beds and nice hot shower. Close to all amenities.
Nothing
Great value for money. We stayed in a family room and had plenty of space, the beds were extremely comfortable, towels and toiletries included as well as a little tea/ coffee station. This is our 2nd time staying here with our little boy and had another great stay. Can't beat the price with what you get!
Nothing really for the price you pay. Don't expect luxury, but another great stay for us
nice staff
The beds were amazingly comfortable, very close to amenities!
