Loved everything

The room was beautiful - really nicely made up with cool decor, comfy bed, and nice furnishings. The rest of the hotel was spectacular as well. Terrific look and feel to the place, very fun and very sexy. The cocktail lounge was also very pleasant and the drinks were delicious.

The biggest issue was that the room was *so noisy*. We stayed in one of the more expensive Autograph rooms, which look over Kensington High Street and despite the windows being closed it was an absolute cacophony of car horns, sirens and shouting, well into the early hours. I was glad we were only staying one night

The location is good being close the Kensington High St

The room was very small with little storage space for clothes and the double bed was pushed right up against the window. When the air conditioning was turned on there was a stale smell in the room so it was better to open the window for air. Having paid up front for 2 nights we were a bit surprised to have a letter pushed under the door on the last night with an ‘invoice’ for a discretionary 5% service charge. The explanation given was than nobody carries cash any more so the staff do not get as much in tips for their service. We reluctantly paid it having been assured that all of the money went to the staff.

The lift didn’t service the ground floor so we became quite use to using the stairs. Wouldn’t work for some people!

Location, decor and friendly staff

We were unsure, before arriving, that we could truly believe the photos on the website but they are definitely accurate. The decor is very different, with a lot of exotic stuffed animals, vibrant colours and lighting. The bar was great with excellent, albeit expensive, cocktails served by a knowledgable barman. All of the staff were attentive and friendly. Our rom was small but very nice. On the first night we had a problem with some marks on our bedding which was dealt with very promptly. We were moved to another larger room and our situation was taken seriously and dealt with really well. This was a hiccup and we could tell that this was not a normal situation or from general bad practice. Overall, this was a great choice for us and we would definitely return. There was no restaurant or breakfast onsite although some websites gave the impression that there is.

We had no complaints. It was perfect for us. Location also great.

Sabia que o quarto era "petite", mas a casa de banho ... é muito, muito, "petite" ! -sobretudo a cabine de duche ! O elevador é lento, muito lento, e pode parar se , por exemplo, tiver um casaco no braço e se se mover, uma pequena ponta do seu tecido se aproximar da zona da porta ... Na minha opinião, e pelas experiências que vamos tendo, a relação preço-qualidade está desajustada ( hotel caro para o que oferece ... e não deveria estar na classificação de " 4 Estrelas " .)

They didn't serve breakfast. They made me 2 coffees one on each day that I was there. The room was very small. Ok for one but I think rather tight for 2

The high tech toilet didn’t have instructions! It would have been nice if a few biscuits were also complimentary along with milk to go with the tea & coffee. The lift didn’t work which was ok for us but may have been an issue for others.

The location is wonderful! The staff are all very friendly - everyone is offered a coffee upon arrival and couldn't be nicer about storing our luggage and letting us loiter in the beautiful lounge until our event started. When we returned to actually check in, they had already taken our luggage to the room. The blackout shades helped a lot with jetlag recovery.

We travel a lot and have experienced some small rooms but this was the teeniest room and bathroom I've ever seen. It was tough for two slender adults. I could not shave my legs the shower is so narrow. Also, this is no one's fault but the lift lands on the first floor/does not go to the ground floor so if you have heavy luggage you'll need assistance.

The hotel is in a brilliant location at the corner of Hyde Park/Kensington Palace and close to the shops and bars of Kensington. We had some amazing meals in pubs and restaurants nearby, and although you are absolutely paying London prices, we felt it was worth it for the location. It's an understatement to say that this hotel is quirky; the decor is wild and packed with personality. So much better than staying in a boring, shoe-box hotel room. In the middle of another heatwave, we were grateful for the super air-con in the room and the fridge to keep our drinks in. The staff were friendly and welcoming - we had a brilliant stay!

Warning - the lift is not for those of a nervous disposition, and it only works from the first floor. This may present significant difficulty for those with disabilities. If you can manage the stairs, you will enjoy the journey as there is something to see at every turn!

Great staff and a great location. The room was small but had enough space for a solo traveler. The only downside was that there was no refrigerator in the room, which could be an issue for longer stays. Overall, I had a pleasant stay!

Great quirky experience

The unique decor and the staff - they were so welcoming and accommodating to us. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful and it was very clean.

The size of the room was very small for the price charged, it was difficult to move around luggage and eachother to get ready, the photos made the rooms look much larger.

Excellent staff. Very comfortable stay. Very much enjoyed the cocktail bar and free second round of drinks. Loved the penhaligons products provided. Great location.

Rooms slightly smaller than imagined

Well located, can leave bags at hotel before and after check in/out if doing some shopping before leaving London. Amazing staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. The room also had AC which was super handy during the heatwave during our stay.

Its about a 10/15 mins walk from nearest tube, which wasn't a problem for us (and there are buses) but might be for others so something to keep in mind.

Friendly staff, great location and really clean!

The hotel is in such a great location for what we wanted. All staff were lovely. Decor is amazing. Our room was a little smaller than expected but we had aircon which helped enormously with the heat wave! Coffee was good. Loved it!

Great location Nice ambience

Our room was very small Noisy sound every 20 mins all night from aircon or fridge/lift that we could not turn off Added a service charge which is cheeky even if it was removed. We arrived at 4pm so quite early but I felt we were given the smallest and noisiest room. I should have asked for a change but we were short of time.

The cleanness

The Hux Hotel was lovely yet again. We have visited 3 times now and each time has been a truly enjoyable stay. The rooms are comfy, quite and (while we have only experienced petite style rooms) have plenty of space for two people to unpack, stay and get ready around one another while not being in eachothers pockets. It was very nice to be recognised by the staff and they treated us brilliantly. Location is also a massive bonus as the underground is really close, as is some lovely walks for those quite moments.

Only thing is that a soft close on the toilet seat in room 207 would be nice to ensure no banging in the night if accidently dropped.

The friendliness of the staff and the comfortable bed. The room was dark, cosy and decorated thoughtfully. The bathroom was small but well laid out and the whole room was exceptionally clean. The underground was a 5 mins walk and there was a good bus service outside of the hotel. The hotel was quirky and fun and we would certainly book again.

The room was slightly on the small side but we only needed a comfortable bed, a clean room and a good shower so it suited our needs.

Asked for two rooms close to each other but they were in different parts of the hotel. Tube station 5 minutes walk which was good

The location was great. The staff were exceptional. Friendly, affable and even carried my bags up the stairs and to the room. A really nice touch. There was a personalised letter that was waiting for me, offering me a free round if I handed it to the bartender. Another really nice touch. I loved the taxidermy aspect of the hotel. Very quirky. The blinds were a really nice material and the windows were double glazed so we didn't hear a peep. The bed was very comfortable and a special mention to the rainfall shower!

The room was beautiful but quite small. There was no indication that we need to check in via the main entrance, although the staff came out to greet us. I was disturbed by a lot of door slamming from 9am, maybe the doors need door closers. Apart from that, no complaints!

The decor and atmosphere and good staff!

Nothing, after a long day of travel and a gig at the Arc, it was the perfect place to relax with a Negroni before retiring to a beautifully air conditioned room!

All was o.k., without problems

I’ve never experienced such lovely staff in any hotel. They couldn’t have done more, been more accommodating and welcoming. Every single one was really lovely, very attentive and just generally warm and friendly to be around. Absolute credit to the hotel! In general the hotel was very artistic, clean, easy to navigate, 24 hour desk is fab, location is convenient and beds were really comfortable. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The only very very picky thing was lighting in the room. There’s not really anywhere with good lighting to get ready if you’re a person wanting to put your face on

Broken tiles, stained walls, broken dishwasher, ongoing paint works firing our stay - should never have been rented out! Dangerous for kids with the entire bathroom floor being broken and the dishwasher flooded the whole apartment with dirty water. We were in the two bedroom apartment.

The staff were exceptional. They made us feel very welcome The towels and sheets were luxurious and the branding and tea selection was excellent Great air-con with option to open windows if preferred.

The pillows were rather big and would have liked a softer option.

The location was ideal and close to underground station.

The room was tiny and far too small for 2 people. Should have been a single person room. Also they were not able to offer a cup of coffee or more water as the milk was off which we thought was very strange. Not enough space in the room to make coffee and get ready.

Great location - right near to Hyde Park and the Royal Albert Hall. It’s a very quirky place - with stuffed animals wherever you look. Despite being near a main road, the room was lovely and quiet. The bed was super comfy too.

Loved the maximalist + taxidermy decor, but bar gets extremely noisy. Petite room absolutely tiny, but comfortable.

Beware 'discretionary' extra charges for 'service' And check-in all about taking 'pre-authorisation' of £100 - for what? No breakfast facility: website should be clearer

Room was compact and bijou for the money.

The location was excellent. Near High Street Kensington tube station. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area. Two excellent bakeries near the tube. I liked the quirky decor. We stayed in the apartments and it was great to have the kitchen and the extra space. The young man who checked us in and helped with our bags was extremely friendly and helpful. He was very welcoming and responsive to any questions we had.

Busse vor der Tür und Bahn ein paar wenige Gehminuten entfernt.Man kann direkt mit einem Spaziergang im Kensington Park (gegenüberliegende Strasse)beginnen.Jede Menge Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in direkter Nähe.Hatten auf Wunsch auch noch Decken und Bettwäsche bekommen, da nur eine Decke pro Bett.

Hatte nix von einer Kaution(250 Pfund) gelesen.Darauf muss man sich einstellen.Abschlussrechnung waren 5%vom Gesamt Mietpreis als Tip aufgeschlagen, was wir aber nicht zahlen mussten, sondern im Nachhinein die Rechnung in der von uns gewünschten Tipzahlungshöhe(man konnte auch nichts an Tip geben) geändert hatten(da ich auf den eh schon hohen Preis,was für London aber ok ist, wenn man angenehm und etwas komfortabler unterkommen möchte, nicht noch diesen extrem hohen Tip zahlen wollte)

Room and bathroom very small

The location was great, public transport easily accessible. Great selection of coffee shops for breakfast. Décor was fab, the live music on the Friday evening was amazing, good selection of cocktails. The room was adequate for two people, good selection of tea and coffee and a mini bar. Bed was comfy and it had a good size bathroom with a great shower.

Great Location, cute rooms

The second floor had the cleaning crew cart parked there all the time and it was a bit annoying. The staff was lovely and they didn’t make excessive noise or anything like that is just that it felt like there was always someone standing outside.

Lovely hotel- funky decor- staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean- a little small but adequate for our needs. Great DJ in the bar on Thursday night🥳

Was a bit surprised with the prices of food/ beverages - but accept that it is central London so prices are going to be higher. And surrounding restaurants/ bars had similar pricing. Also had a 5% discretionary charge added to the bill on check out- which I was quite surprised at as it wasn't added to the initial invoice I received the night before via email. However the reception staff did cancel this on check out.

The room was a tad small

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment that was very comfortable for a family of four adults, it was clean and very well equipped , the bedrooms are very quiet even though the apartment is facing a main street.

The apartments are in the building next door so it’s not a real hotel experience. The bedrooms in one of the bedrooms were very hard .

The hotel is hidden...in a good way. manypeople look in the windows but do not quite understand what is this? The Location is fantastic. Close to shops, museums and Kensington Gardens. Great cafe's and restaurants outside. We missed the jazz music but bar and lounge areas were great. We could have sat there and just enjoyed the environment all day and evening. The mistake we made! We needed a larger room with Chairs but that was our responsibility. Loved the owners slippers. They totally represented the place. Watched his video and loved that his voice was easily understood. Also loved the messages he was sending about Presence and Unique Brand. This felt unique.

The doors to the lift were tight with cases. Needed an easier opening. Maybe a few more people in the lounge in the evening.
