Good location to get in and out of the city easily.
You need to get in the car park, there is NO on road parking anywhere.
Location and easy rear car park in super busy road in terms of parking
Nothing
Comfortable attractive accommodation with good in-room tea and coffee facilities. Plenty of on site parking. Close enough to city to walk in. There was some noise from the pub downstairs but it wasn't intrusive at all (on Monday and Tuesday nights we were there).
Breakfast was just too basic, especially since the croissant was frankly awful. Otherwise was just cornflakes or alpen plus a yogurt for sustenance. Apparently the pub food is good but sadly not available on Monday night and limited on Tuesday as it was quiz night.
The ambience to this place is fantastic, it appears to sit in the middle of quite a tight nit community, but it some how manages to open its arms and be available to anybody and everybody, as any really great Inn should. A wonderful place.
Reserved on site parking space Quiet after closing time Decent in-room continental breakfast Generous size room tastefully decorated Fully equipped (and everything working) Decent shower/bath and plenty hot water Good franchised lunch/dinner available in pub
The room was clean, nicely decorated with all facilities needed
Shabby in places a bit of maintenance is required, curtain hold back is nearly off wall, light above mirror loose, and towel rail also loose, be careful to make sure the kettle lid clicks in & as the lid fell off whilst pouring the water resulting in boiling water splashing on me, breakfast would have been ok for us but the fridge is obviously not working as the milk was off & lumpy (it was in date) so no morning drinks, cereal or yogurts for us, not really worth what we paid
Good size room, ideal to have a fridge to keep drink and milk in, bathroom good size and shower was good,
The bed seems to make a noise, it's possible it needs tightening up, it creaked when I turned over in the night
A lively community pub with a very buzzy feel. I liked it. Staff were good and friendly.
THE BED. The bed spoiled our stay as it was so noisy. The slightest move and creak, creak. Also it was far too soft and because of this we did not have one good nights sleep out of three.
The Rooms at the Rosebery was pleasant for accommodation purposes, with a clean room and all the usual facilities. The continental breakfast was very good and offered a good choice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Location was a 25min walk to the city centre.
Unfortunately, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and lumpy, which made for a poor night’s sleep and detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.
Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. For the price the room was excellent. Lovely breakfast basket and fridge with milk, juice, water. Very quiet for being over a pub. Need to know, it's a good walk into the centre of Norwhich.
Clean and tidy. Staff were lovely.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing.
Great location as only a 15 minute walk in to the old part of town. Comfortable rooms with comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Easy access to drinks and food. Small fridge in the room. Quirky pub underneath that closed at a reasonable time. Of road dedicated parking for guests.
Nothing we didn’t like. Would stay there again.
People. Accomadtion. Facilities.
Nothing.
25 minute walk into town Great shower
Eating breakfast in our bedroom, photo looked like we would have toast, had yogurt but only cereals and croissant in a plastic wrap.
Decoration and look
Bed very creeky
It was ok. Parking
Easy walking distance to city centre and pub serves good food.
The room was fine and the continental breakfast that was supplied was good.
Booked a table for the evening meal and we were told we could choose where we wanted to sit which we did and saw the chap put the reserved sign on it. When we came to have dinner, the table reserved sign had been moved. I questioned this and was asked if there was any reason I wanted to sit there .... it was hot and the table was in the cool, hence the choice. It was obviously moved for a regular customer... that's poor service as far as I'm concerned.
Lovely decoration in the room
A little further out if the city than we first thought but plenty of taxis
Loved the location and the privacy of the room. Also the breakfast hampers
It was a bit loud outside during the football but it didn’t disturb me. Plus it was an England game in the World Cup so not exactly a common event,
Great location and really friendly staff
The bed in room 3 was awful. The mattress was really uncomfortable. I can only say how it was for me but I think it’s time to invest in a new one as this one is old and you can feel the springs
A surprisingly quiet location above the pub. Easy walking distance of the city centre. Breakfast arrangements worked well - put in the room the night before. Car parking reserved for B&B guests - very useful in city centre location
Friendly check in, parking, clean and good room service. Pubs, shops and cafes nearby. Easy walk to town (25 mins). No noise from the bar. Private entrance to room, nice and quiet.
It was expensive seeing as though it was in a residential area in the outskirts of town with just a grab bag breakfast in the room. I didn't actually mind any of that but I think the price should reflect it.
Great room, very friendly staff
Kind of far away, breakfast baguette was a little stale
Loved the deco, comfortable and clean. Very good bathroom. It was quiet too especially as it was above a pub. The room was spotless.
Nothing really! The shower was a bit hard to get the right temperature, good to be shown.
Good room and staff
IPA £6.50
The room was large with a spacious ensuite and high ceilings adding to a sense of space. We liked the Nespresso coffee maker and plenty of milk in the fridge.
Being above a popular pub, it was quite noisy into the night. We were not impressed with the continental breakfast. The croissants were cellophane wrapped and not very nice. We were only given one 45g sachet of muesli each day, so no choice really between that or cornflakes. The room being so large, there would be space for a table to sit and have breakfast.
The pub is in a great location on a lovely tree lined road with carpark and just a 15 minute walk straight into the centre of Norwich. The bedroom was large bright and well decorated with a comfortable bed. Everything was clean and tidy, the bathroom had a great shower and everything you needed. There's a fridge in the room with bottled water, milk and generous coffee and tea making facilities. We thought we would hear noise from the pub below but it wasn't a problem.
We hadn't realised it was a continental style breakfast, my husband's not a fan, pub isn't open in the morning so we had to go out to breakfast.
Great room, very clean, comfy bed and the parking space was a bonus. The room was lovely, and just what we needed for a nights stay whilst we attended a gig at EPIC Studios. Would definately recommend staying here.
We didnt have breakfast a cooked breakfast would have been nice
Nothing it was all good
Convenient location, very nice rooms.
Continental breakfast; my wife enjoyed it, I don't like crossaints
Comfortable, quiet room, great value.
Although this is quite an old pub the rooms were modern, attractively decorated, comfortable and clean. The breakfast hamper was a lovely idea and the extra tea and coffee supplies on the landing was sensible. The inclusion of Netflix on the TV was more than you het in hotels that are a lot more expensive ! There was music coming from the pub but this didn’t gp on too late and didn’t disturb us unduly 😀
If I was being picky I would say the ceiling could do with a rub down and a quick freshen up with a paintbrush but this is really reaching for something to say and did not impact put stay at all 😀
Lovely room with everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. Very nice decor, clean and quiet (considering its above a busy pub). Staff in pub were super helpful and food was great.
Bathroom fan did not work and the steam set off the fire alarm in the morning - very hard to turn off and not the most relaxing way to start the day.
My daughter and I had a lovely, comfortable stay at the Rosebery. We would highly reccomend.
NA
The Rosebury is a great pub with well-thought-out and extremely clean, well-kept rooms above the bar area, so be prepared to hear a little noise which subsides as the evening continues. That being said, there was a great atmosphere when we arrived. The staff were fantastic. The menu was selective and food was excellent at a reasonable price. Also, the patrons were very friendly and were obviously proud of their historic local. A very interesting twenty minutes walk will take to the great city of Norwich. The Rosebury is a great choice.
Nothing to dislike.
Nice friendly people
Very clean
The Roseberry is perfectly situated for visiting family so I have returned several times. The breakfast set up is ideal and the bed very comfortable. Lovely big and warm bathroom. Food in the evening was delicious but the pub was very busy, advanced booking a good night idea.
The windows are original and in need of a bit of TLC- it was very windy one night and the bathroom window was very rattly and wouldn’t close properly, I had to wedge it shut.
Lovely room above a nice pub in a pleasant neighbourhood.
Bed a little narrow (and creaky), shower temperature a little fluctuating and not as hot as some might prefer.
It was a nice stay at Rosebery pub.
It was a joy to stay here. Fantastic place, friendly staff, loveliest atmosphere in the pub with great wines and our room was so comfy and well equipped . The shower was fabulous, the room was super clean and bed comfy plus plenty of tea bags hooray!
Nothing
Clean and comfortable
Busy road
We had a lovely stay - great location and great facilities
Location
Great room and very comfortable. Also very nice pub below.
Shame no food was served on the Monday I stayed.
Great size rooms, clean and tidy, friendly staff
Everything was good
Private parking, helpful staff and lovely atmosphere. Excellent food in the pub.
Nice comfortable room with good walk in shower
Overall good but if I’m picky larger bath towels would be good. It was a little chilly in the room and that was fine under the duvet but cool if not.
Lovely atmosphere in the bar. Comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food and drink choices. Recommended.
No problems at all.
The room was a good size and comfy bed, the bar and food downstairs was excellent.
Pillows on my bed were a bit rubbish. It was only the next day I noticed some other pillows on top of the wardrobe.
Lovely room, good shower, quiet location. Rooms are part of a traditional pub with great wines and an extensive selection of beers.
The room was nicely presented, and the sleep was good, although both pillows were used - an extra pillow or two would be needed for a second guest in the same room. No doubt they would be provided on request. It was a good choice for a single overnight stay.
The room was a little busy with the furniture. Although attractive, there is really no need for 3 armchairs in the room. The continental breakfast was enough for just myself, but if you need a large breakfast, you'll need to bring your own, or find a breakfast/coffee shop.
Antique plus modern furniture, large bedroom and large bathroom with bathtub ! Quiet though located above wonderful, large, local pub (that closes at 10 pm) - great for dinner or at least evening out. Simple continental breakfast provided in the room for self-service. Located in the middle of home neighbourhood, free parking on the road plus own car park, 20 - 25 min walk from city centre.
Quirky design with attention to detail and nice “boutique” touches. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and engaging.
Small car park
The room was great, spotlessly clean and nicely furnished, and the pub below was welcoming and warm. It was absolutely perfect for a quick stop over in Norwich -- I'd recommend it highly!
This is a great location. Easy to walk into Norwich or catch a bus to the city centre. The room was comfortable (I’d have liked a bigger double bed) and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A real plus was the pub itself. Good beer and food and a friendly atmosphere. Overall good value.
The continental breakfast was okay, but could have been better.
Nice rooms. Easy to walk in to Norwich, took about 30 minutes to the centre. Good to have a breakfast basket.
Naturally some noise from the pub but stopped at 11pm.
The accommodation was lovely. The location great for town The staff outstanding
I liked the quirkiness of the property, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly The room was very comfortable, decorated nicely and warm and the bathroom was particularly nice Free parking is a great advantage in a city centre
It was further out of the city centre than we thought, so that is the only reason we probably wouldn’t return. The car park area/ entrance could seriously do with a tidy up, it’s full of rubbish and doesn’t represent the interior of the pub, unfortunately for a first impression it wasn’t good It’s a shame they don’t offer a cooked breakfast as the staff are in the kitchen preparing for lunchtime but the continental offer was satisfactory just not what we enjoy
Great rooms and decor!! Really cozy!
I would say the pictures on booking.com don’t do the rooms justice.
The room was good very comfortable with good pillows and a decent mattress. The pub down stairs was brilliant with kind of old world shabby chic that felt authentic . The staff were just top notch without exception . But the food whoa … I played safe and went for a house red with steak and fries . The wine was beautiful I hadn’t had such I supper wine in years . The steak was perfect the garnish was mega but the fries and sauce just the best . Honestly will stay here again if only for the food .
The food was excellent
The breakfast, although we knew it was continental before we arrived
Decent pub
No heating in room. Had portable heaters which gave off a dusty smell. Offered us a different room for day 2 but didn’t pick up emails till we were home. Quite a trek into town. TV complicated with no instructions.
Helpful staff and always happy to answer questions
