Was voor de prijs wel oké. Goed voor als je low bugdet wil. Vriendelijke man die ons met vanalles hielp, we konden ook de scooter lenen. Uitzicht op Ella Rock Net buiten het centrum, dus iets stiller dan in het centrum. Uitzicht op natuur. Onze kleren werden gewassen, maar de geur was niet zo goed.

De geur was wel niet zo goed. Vochtige kamer, al onze kleren ruiken wat muf nu. Op foto lijkt er een zotte douche kop te zijn, maar daar komt enkel koud water uit. Ernaast hangt een kleine douchekop voor warm water, maar is weinig druk op water. Geen frigo in kamer.

Une chouette chambre, un petit-déjeuner copieux et délicieux. Le personnel est kyper sympathique.

Emplacement au top. Je suis venue avec quatre de mes copines pour un voyage entre filles. Samy, le gérant, a fait son maximum pour rendre notre séjour incroyable. C’est très agréable de tomber sur une personne aussi honnête. Je ne peux que vous recommander cet hôtel.

En revanche, petit bémol concernant l’isolation : l’hôtel est au bord de la route et on entend le tuk-tuk de la boulangerie jouer « La Lettre à Élise » tous les matins. Un détail qui ne doit pas vous freiner au risque de passer à côté d’une pépite.

Veldig hyggelig personal

We loved our stay at Kai Kazee Ella! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was so kind and thoughtful. We were traveling with my 5 year old daughter, and they put a small children’s writing desk on the porch for her to use. We had a beautiful view off of our porch and loved sitting on the porch watching the monkeys across the street every morning. It was about a 25 minute walk into Ella town, but we often took advantage of the tuk tuk’s that the staff coordinated for us, or Samy drove us himself several times. The breakfast they prepared for us each morning was delicious, and they even brought us a fruit plate one day just because. We used their laundry service as well as the clothes were returned us in less than 6 hours. At the end of our stay, Samy gave my daughter a small gift that he had picked out for her, which was so unexpected and kind! We would highly recommend Kai Kazee Ella, and will definitely be staying here again the next time we’re in Ella!

The hotel itself it a bit neglected. It's more of a home stay that needs some TLC. It wasn't very clean, the bathroom felt grimy and the duvet had an unpleasant smell. The hotel is right on the Rd that leads into the town center and all the traffic passes by right in front and the the hotel has no insulation from the sound as it has single glazed windows. This was altogether what contributed to an average stay.

there was only one bed arranged even though it was 2 of us coming, so we could manage the pillows but there was only one blanket and i had to ask for a cover for myself additionally. there were no more fresh plain blanket and pillows for another bed. Also the breakfast came later than the time we agreed for (we were going for a scheduled train that’s why it’s important to mention); and one of the meals had to be prepared again because the eggs were raw. overall I think there is a room for some more training of staff, this properly might have a potential.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Betten waren bequem und die Aussicht war sehr schön!

Das typische Feuchtigkeits-Problem … leider hat es so stark nach Schimmel gerochen, dass wir nur mit offener Balkontür schlafen konnten. Damit muss man in Ella leider rechnen …

Hoteller ligger lige ud til et sving, og hver gang de køre der dytter de og køre med høj fart, så det larmede virkelig meget, det var rigtig svært at sove om natten, da der er mega lydt, og der var lidt en underlig lugt, samt der stod at morgenmaden var med i prisen, men køkkenet var lukket, da kokken var på ferie, hvilke skulle være oplyst inden ankomst

This was my first time staying at this property. The staff were great, the room was comfortable, and the food was excellent. The management was very welcoming, friendly, and flexible. As a Sri Lankan tour guide, I highly recommend it to both locals and foreigners.

Mycket trevligt bemötande och personal. När vi skulle åka iväg tidigt på safari så ordnade de även med frukost som vi fick med oss på vägen. Sköna sängar och flera kuddar att välja mellan. Stort och rymligt rum för fyra personer. Frukosten var välsmakande och till belåtenhet. Boendet ligger en bit bort från centrum, men det vara inga problem att gå utmed vägen. Trafiken kör lugnt och tar hänsyn till gående. Ett tips är att använda reflex och ficklampa när det är mörkt.

Duschen var lite svår att få rätt värme på.

It's an okay hotel for the money paid. City center is close you can walk or take tuk tuk. Room has a nice view.

No air-condition in the room, so it is very humid and smells stale.

Mooie ruime kamer met fijn balkon. Samy en zijn staff doen er alles aan om je het naar je zin te maken. Hij regelde zelfs een Tuktuk voor ons om de omgeving te verkennen en een taxi om ons naar Tangalle te brengen. Hij is echt een hele lieve man.

Alles super, schönes großes Familienzimmer, das Personal und der Besitzer waren super nett und das Frühstück war auch immer sehr gut, es gab immer etwas anderes und auch sehr leckeres Sri Lankinisches Frühstück.

The place was clean, the rooms very nice, the beds were big and comfortable, the view was simply stunning and breakfast was amazing. I honestly felt clean and relaxed. The staff was very kind and nice to us. Overall, best place where I stayed in Sri Lanka. It’s even better than what I expected from pictures

Relación calidad precio muy buena. Habitación familiar limpia, camas cómodas, ducha increíble y terraza. Desayuno incluido fabuloso. Personal muy atento y amables, te ayudan en todo. Servicio de tuk tuk en recepción. Muy cerca Rawana falls, se podría ir andando sino fuera carretera.

Todo me gustó. Lo único que para ir al centro de Ella (zona restaurantes) necesitas tuk tuk, está cerca caminando pero es carretera y con los niños es peligroso.

We loved our stay here for many reasons : - Samy, the host and the whole staff are super friendly and helpful. The view is really nice, breakfast is very tasty with lots of variety of food. The spot is outside of the busy town but close enough to fully enjoy it. Beds are large and comfortable, rooms and bathroom are clean and nice We would happily come back.

Room was excellent and especially the hot shower. Hot showers are a bit hit and miss in Sri Lanka. Samy was a great host - good English, chilled and knowledgeable. I recommend the alternative route up to Ella Rock from near his place. Thanks Samy.

The breakfast was simple but delicious. We didn't have much expectations but the curry was delicious and the fruits were nice too. We really enjoyed the breakfast. We also ordered a kottu later on and it was really well made. Both the cook and caretaker should be well commended for their service. The rooms were also adequate, clean and spacious enough for our stay. We were really satisfied considering the price.

They cancelled our reservation when we we very close to Ella Chek up already started when they said they can not accapet us ,so we had to fine anither accomodation in high season in 20 min

Spaces rooms

It was a very nice stay in a cosy and clean room with mosquito nets. Great hot shower 🚿. In the room there were comfortable beds, coffee and tea sets and a great balcony view. The staff is very helpful. Very nice place for exploring Ella surroundings.

A bit noisy - the hotel is near the street. Lights are a bit weak. Bathrooms had some technical issues (smell and clogged drain).

The manager help us to go to the bus station, breakfast was nice.

A bit too noisy due to the road in front of the room. But the owner says that he will do something about it

Nothing in particular. You need to take a tuk tuk to reach the city center or you can walk around 20/25 mins.

All in one ,it was all good and it felt like home . Hope to make it there in the near future

We really enjoyed our stay, tidy comfortable rooms which are great value, friendly staff. Sam was a wonderful host with great local knowledge about the history and culture.

Outside of the main town. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area too. It’s the only place we’ve stayed where the lamps above the bed had the right switches by them!! And they take credit card.

The room needs a bit more attention to cleaning and maintenance. The bathroom sink leaked into the shower. It was a bit stale and damp. The bed nets definitely need a good wash and changed more frequently. The bathroom actually backs into the hallway to the next room so not so soundproof. It wasn’t any trouble asking them to change the pillows and towels though.

Had a really a good stay at Kai Kazee Ella during Christmas vacation. Rooms were really spacious and clean. Also the staff were friendly and we experienced a great hospitality. And the Sri Lankan breakfast we had there was so delicious. Thank you Kai Kazee Ella.

Great place to stay in Ella! It’s not in the center of the city, but close enough for a short walk, and far enough for some peace and great viewes! The room was cozy and clean, breakfast was local and really delicious. The highlight of our visit in Ella was the owner of the Kai Kazee Inn. He was very kind, helpful and patient. Whatever we needed: from a toliet paper to lift for a zipline or trainstation - he was always ready to help. Also he’s a very great guide with a broad knowledge about Sri Lanka, he told us many historical and cultural facts and gave us many good tips for smart traveling in SriLanka. If you’re looking for a nice place with a view and a owner whom you can trust - this is the place :)

Bases in nice Location with view

It was a very nice place with good staff and tasty food. The room was big and nice, but not very clean. The internet was not the best but ok. There are very good viewpoints nearby.

It is located not near the city, it's around 25 min walking by the mountain road, so if you're ok with walking then it's nice, otherwise maybe you should take something closer to the city.

The owner was incredibly helpful. Organised scooter hire, pick up from train station. Drop off into town. Laundry pick up and dropped off to the room. Transport to Mirissa. We stayed for 4nights and had a nice varied breakfast each more included in the price. Short walk from the start of Ella rock.

Road is very noisy so you will want ear plugs, which we had. It’s a bit out of town down a hill so scooters are handy. If you are on the lower level in the room we had the description of a landmark view is very misleading, a car port blokes most of it but lovely breakfast views and the upper floor has better views than our room.

We had to leave due to issues with the hotel

The doors didn't lock properly which made us feel really unsafe particularly being on the ground floor. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room as there was a gap in the side door where they could fly in. You are right by the road so it's horribly loud as it's a busy road used by lots of large vehicles.

Owner was very helpful, took his time to help us organising our trip.

The hotel is on the Main road, so many busses and trucks are passing it, it gets so annoying and loud!! Breakfast portion is very little.. Staff is very helpful tho 🙏🏽

Staff were so lovely and accommodating, gave me a lift into town and facilitated extra requests.

The location is a bit far from town and very steep hill. I didn’t like that my room was on the side of the road, could have felt a bit unsafe but it didn’t.

The picturesque view and the spacious rooms we found stunning. Staffs are very kind, considerate and anticipating with all our requests well.

Rooms were spacious however, the bed had an odd odor. In-addition to that, we spotted a lot of ants in the balcony as well as inside the room.

Not properly cleaned, the doors were difficult to lock, very tight, some toilet doors were unable to lock..when we checked out there was no one..

The room and bathroom were very clean, the hot shower worked well. The breakfast was very good. All the staff are incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. There's a restaurant with delicious food. Great view on Ella Rock from the restaurant terrace.

The room is quite small and there is no view from the balcony, but it's okay since one can just relax on the restaurant terrace instead.

Breathtaking views, comfortable stay, and amazing hospitality! Kai Kazee boasts stunning views of Ella Rock. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with beds that felt like a dream. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible hospitality. Sam, the owner, is fantastic and incredibly helpful. The two boys working there also went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - so good, we couldn't resist going back for seconds (and maybe even thirds!). The price is very reasonable, making Kai Kazee a fantastic value. We will definitely be back!

They just opened their hotel. It is beautiful view on the mountain. Staff of the hotel is super nice. They will make your stay really nice. Such a great value for money. Beds are really nice and comfortable.

You need a bit of walk if you don't want to take tuk tuk but they have their own car and than in the end they took us few times to center. Otherwise, going down from center is just a few minutes walk. Uphill you can arrange with staff.
