Kula Birmingham - New Street Station

Frequent visitors, bog standard bed and good location for what we wanted, but that might change after this time. It was clean but smelled a bit and not aired out after last visitor. Stuffy air with bin smell and the dishwasher did not work properly and needs to be checked out.

Microwave absent, and not replaced the day after arrival as promised in a message, but that was not the main concern. The main concern was the crowd in front of the entrance at arrival smoking and drinking and loud making it difficult to get in with luggage and not feeling safe. The concern of not feeling safe increased as we passed the neighbours door in our corridor as that door had been pried open and the apartment clearly broken into, we notified the staff immediately but as we never were assured this had been dealt with we felt not secure in leaving our things in the apartment to go outside. And big relief leaving the place permanently which should be the opposite.

Comfortable clean apartment with good quality kitchen and bathroom. Very convenient location.

Second bedroom could only access one side of bed.

The property was very clean. There was always fresh towels and regular cleaning. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend the property.

The location is superior. You are 5 mins away from New Street Station, and about 8 mins from Moor street station.

The apartment was in a great location, close to Birmingham New Street Station and the Hippodrome Theatre. It was also only a few minutes’ walk from the canal, which was perfect for walking our dog, finding places to eat, and enjoying a lovely evening stroll. The accommodation was exactly as described — lovely, modern, very clean and spacious. We stayed in Apartment 202 and really enjoyed our stay.

The only slight downside was that the apartment did get quite hot. We found it difficult to keep the windows open because of the outside traffic noise, although when the windows were closed there was no road noise at all, which was excellent.

Brilliant location, really lovely decor, comfortable beds and sofa. Really quiet too especially considering the location is right in the heart of the hustle and bustle.

Possibly a funny smell in one of the bathrooms, a previous guest had maybe been smoking or vaping?

We had a wonderful stay at Kula Birmingham. The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It was spacious and had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, and dryer, which was especially convenient for our trip. The location was also excellent, with a supermarket right next door, making it very easy to pick up groceries and daily essentials. Overall, it felt much more comfortable and convenient than a typical hotel room. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when visiting Birmingham. Highly recommended!

Good location, short walk to New St station. Close to shopping centres. Property was clean and tidy, comfortable bed and lovely shower! Easy check in.

Couldn’t walk around the bed so one person had to climb over the other to get out. Freezer frozen over. Limited glasses, cups. Only small issues but would be great if rectified!

Tanto si llegas antes del chek_in como del chek_out, si quieres dejar el equipaje, tienes que pagar un locker. La cama doble no era cómoda para dos personas, ni por anchura ni por el colchón, no estuvimos cómodos, la verdad (era de 1.35 cm)

The location is great, close to the mall, the train station and restaurants. Very ideal. My whole family loved it. We had everything we needed and it was comfortable.

It was very convenient location wise and very clean and comfortable staff was very helpful from beginning to end especially as we had booked this apartment the less than 24 hours before arriving due to our previous apartment cancelling last minute The access to the building and the checking in process was very easy and staff was very responsive and helpful

Eu gostei de tudo na acomodação , apartamento novo cama confortável, tudo estava extremamente limpo. Localização excelente para se mover na cidade dá pra fazer praticamente tudo 100 por cento a pé.

Just the location

The bed is very small and room very small as well. Poor management and the cleaners only came once but didn’t clean the apartment properly. The didn’t even sweep or clean up the balcony area. It was a horrible experience

Workers are really nice the room was lovely had no complaints and is very close to the city centre 5 minute walk if I was gunna stay anywhere in Birmingham it would definitely be here

Nice and comfortable apartment. It’s spacious and has modern amenities like a dishwasher. Would’ve been nice to have a gym. Building is secure but there is no security or front desk. Very close to the city center and train station. Most things are walkable.

Common areas are sometimes not clean. Noise in the hallways late at night.

The convoluted process/ form to be filled in including passport details after I had booked. Details of how to access the flat were only released to me very shortly before we arrived.

Had a great stay at Kula Birmingham. The apartment was modern, clean, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location was excellent, with easy access to the city centre and nearby amenities. The whole experience was smooth and convenient, and the accommodation felt like a real home away from home. Would definitely stay at Kula again and highly recommend it!

The apartment we rented was great except there was a very strong smell of cigarettes. After contact we was very kindly moved to another apartment.

Location is quite close to the central station, many supermarkets and food options nearby. There is lift in the building, and dishwasher and washing machine in the apartment. The apartment is quite spacious.

To enter the apartment building there are two doors with access codes. It seems the codes change every few days. It can cause confusion. When we arrived there was a homeless person sitting in front of the main entrance which was quite uncomfortable. The building is situated next to a busy road, on a warm day if you want to get fresh air it can be very noisy in the room.

The only issue was that there was only one fan provided. I would have expected to have atleast 2 fans since it was a 3 room apartment.

De locatie was heel centraal en super modern ingericht. We hebben echt een geweldig verblijf gehad en de accomodaties had alles wat we nodig hadden tijdens ons verblijf. Ik zou hier absoluut weer boeken als we in Birmingham verblijven.

My apologies for taking so long to leave a review but I’ve been travelling. This apartment was an absolute delight and I will have no hesitation in booking it again, in fact I need to make a reservation soon. The location is excellent. I travelled in from the airport to Central Station and then it was a very short walk to the building. I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the apartment and how well kitted out it was. It contained absolutely everything I could possibly need for my stay. It was so clean, and private. I felt very secure too which is important as being female and often travelling alone for work means personal security is at the forefront of my thinking when booking accommodation. I can highly recommend the whole process of booking, the facilities and the communication from the vendors. A real home from home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The apartment location is very good near to Birmingham City Centre where everything is near to you from food to shopping ect. I can't wait to do my booking again because it way better than a hotel room.

The apartment was spacious, modern and very clean. The location was excellent, only a short walk from New Street Station, making it easy to get around Birmingham. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the utensils and appliances we needed, which made our stay even more comfortable. The apartment had everything we needed and we’d happily stay here again.

The location was amazing. Right next door to the mailbox which has a lot of options foodwise and about 5 mins away from new street station. The apartment itself has a lot of space, good facilities and was clean. Much prefer this over staying in a hotel in Birmingham. We got given a room on a high floor which made the stay even better! The check-in and check-out process was also really straightforward.

Only one fan was supplied with the flat when there were two bedrooms. As a result, we had to leave the windows open in one of the rooms to make the temperature bearable to sleep in. As the apartment was next to a main road it was incredibly noisy with the windows open. So you either had to roast in the room or deal with all the noise while trying to sleep.

Kitchen (stove) was not clean. Windows can only be partially opened. Apartment was way too hot, no installed air conditioners or central air cooling, only one tiny plug-in unit was provided for the living room. Apartment #202 is very loud, facing a busy street.

I was very impressed. Beautiful place. I was travelling with my mother 88 & uncle 78. It's so close to train station. Apartment lovely, 2 bed, 2 bathrooms. Kitchen sparkling clean, lounge area ideal for family. Staff lovely & when needed anything, all I had to do was send message. I also had phone which provides 24 hour service, not that you'd need it as everything was top class. I have no hesitation in recommending Kula to anyone thinking of staying there, total value for money.

Great location moments from New Street Station. The building doesn't look much from the outside but the unit we stayed in was well presented, very clean, and had a great kitchen area. On the top floor, it also had a roof terrace with great views. Everything we needed.

Air-conditioning would have made a big difference during a very hot summer.

The 3 different Door codes! main door-Lobby & apartment. Would it be possible to simplify this with less codes or have main door and lobby with same codes? Or a fob left inside apartment so that once you get in with codes you can use fob after for the rest of your stay.

Appartementengebouw staat pal tegen een autoweg met 8 banen. Wij hadden een appartement aan de voorkant en konden bij het warme weer geen raam openen om de herrie van het verkeer.

When two different people made the reservations, we were charged two deposits—even though it was perfectly clear that there were two of us.

The Noise coming from a workshop behind my apartment and dust if the windows opened

The apart hotel is close to New Street Station and the Mailbox.

It was a really hot weekend and I was disappointed that the apartment did not have AC. Luckily I had paid extra to have a balcony so at least I could leave the balcony door open at night to let some air in. However, when I returned to the apartment I could not open the locked balcony door. They then moved me to another apartment with an open door. That was an improvement in terms of comfort but not good for security. I got some air through the windows and door but the Aparthotel is close to a busy road so it was pretty noisy. The balcony area was quite dirty. I really did not think Kula was value for money and I won't be returning.

Eu gostei de tudo na acomodação, funcionário 100 por cento educados e respeitosos, a equipe do prédio se solicitou e recebeu os pedidos que eu fiz on-line guardaram para mim, o prédio é muito limpo muito novo muito organizado, recomendo a todos da plataforma quem se hospedar nesse local vai ter uma excelente estadia com muita segurança. Espero voltar em breve neste belíssimo e confortável apartamento.

The entire penthouse was great, clean, good size and amenities were great

The check in process wasn't simple, code's didn't work at first, wasn't able to call someone straight away and was reliant on what's app messages which took a while to resolve

I'll happily return on my next business trip to Birmingham. Close to the train station and a Sainsbury's local (5 mins away). Easy to find (if you need an anchor point it's 50 yards from Malmaison Hotel). I didn't see a door number at the street entrance, but it's right on the corner and you can't miss it. Easy entry - very clear instructions with security codes to enter the building, the lobby and the appartment. Good working lift. Very clean and well appointed appartment. Comfortable bed and sofa. Good TV and kitchen, with fridge, freezer and full cooker. Excellent shower. Highly recommended.

Location was great, so close to the main shopping centres and the train station. Very clean and safe feeling building. The bed was very comfy and the living room was perfect for a nice chill night in. Toilet was very nice too.

Liked everything, think we were getting a bit frustrated with the codes sometimes not working on doors but I think that was mainly us not being quick enough to open the door or not turning the lock far enough. 😂 Felt very safe though.
