Warm and cozy atmosphere and when I say warm I literally mean warm - if you ever visited Cape Town you know there's no central heating and it can be very cold in rooms. Here guys made their best to take care about guests and you can hear the room with heaters installed. Tiny but important detail. And overall the place is awesome - location, great owners, amazing service. Wish you guys prosperity, cheers

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Location was great, close to local shops & cafe. Felt like a safe part of town. Host was very responsive in communication and very prompt in trying to resolve any issues that came up. The view of lion's Head from the lounge was magical!
The door to the bathroom is a little heavy and noisy to open/close. Not ideal for night bathroom visits!

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026The property is in an excellent location and it has a quirky designer aesthetic with a sense of humor and history in an older building near the beach. I did meet the owner who is charming and kind, and is putting her creative flair into every detail in this property and I say Bravo!
The management was not on site and that always gives me feeling like I'm staying in an Airbnb. If you like being on your own this is that kind of place. I had the rear cottage and the bring in a loft bed upstairs was super cozy with its own private patio however the bathroom was downstairs and going up snd down the circular staircase might not be not for everyone. It's definitely a fun and unique setup if you like a sense of adventure. Lots of places to eat nearby and the beach park along the Waterfront down the hill was terrific. I would stay again.

Es war ziemlich kalt und ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, dass das Bad keine Tür zum Schlafbereich hat.

Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Unser Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft war leider nicht das, was wir uns erhofft hatten. Das Frühstück war sehr einfach gehalten, es gab kaum Auswahl und von dem wenigen war auch nicht viel da. Die Eigentümerin wirkte uns gegenüber eher unfreundlich und meinte sogar, wir würden „zu viel“ essen – dabei wollten wir einfach ganz normal frühstücken. Das hat uns ehrlich gesagt irritiert. Die Unterkunft an sich ist okay, aber eben nicht mehr als das. Wir hatten auf der Garden Route insgesamt sieben Unterkünfte, und diese hat uns im Vergleich am wenigsten überzeugt. Umso mehr wundern wir uns über die vielen positiven Bewertungen, die wir im Vorfeld gelesen hatten. Unser Zimmer hatte außerdem eine sehr ungünstige Aufteilung: Um ins Bad oder auf die Toilette zu kommen, musste man eine steile Metalltreppe hinaufklettern. Die wirkte nicht besonders sicher und wäre bei uns zu Hause vermutlich gar nicht erlaubt. Das Bad selbst war offen gestaltet, sodass man keinerlei Privatsphäre hatte. Alles in allem würden wir die Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und oft die Dachterrasse genossen und die Paraglider beobachtet, die über uns geflogen sind. Auch das Frühstück war super lecker und abwechslungsreich. Alle vom Personal waren total nett und offen. Wir haben 2 Tage das Hopon-Hopoff-Busticket genutzt und auch dafür war die Lage einfach perfekt, wir konnten super zu einer Haltestelle laufen. Uber war auch total easy. Wir würden die Unterkunft wieder buchen. Vielen Dank.

You sat at a table with other guests, it felt very homey. The staff and everyone was very nice. The location is also ideal, you find everything you need in the nearby area. Highly recommended.

Reviewed Jan 29, 2026We had an amazing and very special stay at Ami Vine House in January. The owners, Paul and Jenny, as well as their staff are super friendly. We loved their breakfast with a variety of delicious cold meats, cheese, honey, eggs etc etc 😋 The fresh fruit salad every morning was a big treat! It is a very unique and quirky Guesthouse with a beautiful bedrooms, pool and lush garden. We felt very safe and Seapoint main street is only a 2 min walk. Brilliant restaurants (La Boheme 👌) very close to Ami Vine House. Thank you so much Paul and Jenny!!!

Om man ska gnälla lite så kunde man inte sitta och sola vid den lilla poolen....men vadå man är ju ute på turistgrejer hela dagarna.
