Sehr liebevoll ausgestalte das Zimmer. Wir hatten das Zimmer auf der Rückseite des Hauses. Das ist von Vorteil, da die Straße doch sehr befahren ist. Wir waren bereits vor zwei Jahren in diesem Hotel und waren dieses Jahr überrascht, dass wir ein tolles Englisch breakfast bekommen haben.

Unsere Freunde hatten das Zimmer zur Straße das war leider in den Morgenstunden. Aufgrund des Verkehrs doch etwas laut.

Ultra dog friendly and made our dogs feel very special and welcome.

The breakfast was very nice, I wasn't expecting eggs benedict so it was a pleasant surprise. Fruit and yogurt would have been good.

I cannot fault the Bulls Head everything was great the rooms were lovely the breakfast was excellent location is excellent and of course the fact that we can take our dog what's the most important thing to us

I cannot say there was anything I didn't like the only thing that I think would be good especially for Residents would be to book a table for our evening meal

lovely hotel, conveniently located for all the trails. Small boutique hotel with lovely staff and newly redecorated rooms. Loved the bed too, I had such a restful night sleep! Definitely recommended

Nothing negative stood out, other than the room was a bit noisy being over the road.

Great location. Small but lovely room and spotlessly clean. All tastefully decorated, but the shower cubicle was a bit on the small side for my husband. Perfect for me, though. The breakfast was exceptional, with the most delicious bacon! The staff were helpful and friendly.

The guy checking us in was very thorough. The room was lovely. The restaurant was appealingly dexorated. Outside, where the patio tables were was a great view.

Lovely room, very well appointed with good attention to detail. Staff were attentive. Food was great. Slight down side was the room was really warm, even though a fan was provided, but would still highly recommend!

Fantastic accommodation in an excellent location. Quick and efficient check in the room was great with a fabulous view. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had and served by Diane and cooked excellently by Amanda. The pub is lovely and the food was exceptional, staff were great nothing too much trouble we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The location was absolutely beautiful! The staff were very friendly and approachable and the room itself was quirky and well kept! Very comfy bed aswell! The food was all freshly made and stunning!

Gorg little room, lovely food, perfect location

The property was nicely renovated and immaculately clean. One staff member, Diane, stood out for her exceptional service at breakfast time. Diane also did a brilliant job cleaning the rooms. Diane was friendly, efficient and welcoming.

Unfortunately we were there in a heatwave so being an old pub there was no air conditioning. Most of the bar staff were completely uninterested in serving customers or being welcoming in any way.

Cozy pub, when the weather was less than perfect, it was great getting a good pub meal without having to go outside.. Lovely breakfast too. Could walk out the door to some good walks, including the Mam Tor.

Breakfast, dinner and location superb, close to many beautiful walks without the need to use the car. Excellent car parking facilities so no worries if you should go out for the day, signed resident parking always available. A special thank you and shout out to Diane who looked after us and our room during our 4 day stay, nothing was too much trouble, always friendly and helpful and both looking forward to seeing her again next year.

A wider choice of dishes on the dinner menu would be appreciated, all the eateries in Castleton seem to have similar menus, ie burgers or pies. Having said that all of our dishes were superly cooked and well presented.

The room was excellent for our requirements. Clean, comfy and a really peaceful night's sleep. Had a meal and breakfast during our stay both great and good value. All staff friendly.

Very poor staff attitude, rude doesn’t begin to describe the young “lady” at the bar. Breakfast was appallingly bad, sausages were sour, everything else was cold or badly cooked. Lots of room for improvement. The manager if he is on top of his game knows who and what the problem is.

Only that we stayed on one of the hottest nights of the year and therefore the bedroom was very hot. This is of course out of their control they did have a fan in the room which was greatly appreciated.

Lovely clean room with plenty of tea coffee etc in the room and a fridge.

Windows weren't double glazed so the front rooms could be noisy if you aren't used to traffic at home.

Location was fantastic. Parking easy. Room pretty compact but so clean and well equipped it was perfect for our one night stay.

The bathroom fan was exceptionally noisy. The dawn chorus was very early lasted for 2 hours !!! 🤣🤣

Castleton is beautiful. The Bulls Head is a great pub, with comfortable rooms and terrific food.

If I had to pick an issue (and this is a stretch) is that the shower is very small. But good water pressure and very clean.

The twin room was really lovely and cisy. The bathroom was modern and had fab toiletries. There were lots of choices of teas and coffee ( although no milk) in the room and a little fridge too. Breakfast was delicious and we ate in the pub in the evening too..which was also fab. The staff were friendly and very professional and a credit to the pub. Definitely will be staying again sometime soon!!

Everything was incredible. Rooms were modern, well decorated, airy and clean. Staff were unbelievably friendly and wanted to go above and beyond. Food was gorgeous. Breakfast included was great. Location was spot on. Free parking. Couldn't have been better!

The ONLY thing we could pick up on was the road noise, but this was very minimal at night and the hotel provided 'sleep well' kits including ear plugs and eye masks so they've thought of everything!

Manager - checking in on 29 May and breakfast on 31 May was brilliant. Perfect location, rooms were lovely, food nice, breakfast exceptional. Good parking.

Location for the concert in the cave second to none. Plus the staff were friendly and excellent with a greasy meal when we arrived and bfast next day. Patrick was great on check in and bfast.

Combination of the warm weather, sealed window and heat output of the fridge in the room made sleeping like being in a sauna. Ok for wifey but killed me. Am opening window may have been the difference.

The location and surroundings are splendid. The room was charming and clean as well as surprisingly quiet considering the amount of traffic in the pub downstairs. Fantastic views towards Mam Tor. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very attentive. Trails to the Peak district start pretty much straight from the door. There is ample free parking behind the house.

We were a bit disapointed about the restaurant menu, which was a reduced version of the online menu or even the menu featured in the room itself. That was originally one of the reasons why we chose the Bulls Head in the first place.

A perfect place for a walk to Mam Tor. The staff is great, breakfast was good. A place to remember. The rooms were clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed.

Our room faced the street, and during the night, cars like to drive fast and make noise. Not too bad, but not fun either.

Room was quite warm despite opening windows and turning off radiator. Some light came round the edges of the blinds about 4am as getting light. Bit of noise from the street as Castleton is a happening place with a few Saturday night revelers! Glad had some ear plugs and an eye mask!

We had a fantastic stay at The Bulls Heads. The rooms were nice with everything that you could need and want. The views were amazing and everything was super clean. The staff were amazing and the breakfast was wonderful. We would have loved to stay for longer.

Handy location for all that Castleton has to offer. Great shower and the lady who cleans and manages breakfast was very friendly and a great host. It was a nice touch to give our dog a welcome basket.

We hadn't realised how busy the road would be in Castleton and our room faced the road. Cars travel fast through the village, which does calm down at night, but we didn't sleep well.

Didn't like that we didn't get much sleep as the wind was howling all night. the windows rattled the blinds were moving.

The room was wonderful with stunning views and plenty of complimentary teas and coffees. The Hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and spotlessly clean. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect and parking no problem. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was in a perfect location for walks in Castleton , the room was lovely one of the nicest dog friendly acomadation we have stayed in . The staff were helpful and friendly , breakfast was delicious even an extra sausage for our pooch .

I don’t usually write reviews, but I really wanted to mention how kind and helpful one of the staff members was. They took my situation personally, showed genuine care, and went out of their way to help solve my problem. I really appreciated it — thank you so much. The place was clean, cozy, and in a beautiful location. The food was also very nice. I had a really pleasant stay overall.

Location is in the middle of Castleton, room was comfortable and spacious and staff were lovely.

Busy road. Start time for breakfast was 8.30 which was too late for us. Pub across the road started breakfast at 7.30. Also could be more variety and teabag in a cup is a real no no! Other than that it was all fine.

Lovely little pub and inn located in the center of town.

The room was incredibly tiny. It was hard to fit two people and suitcases in there!
