Sigiriya Rock View Tree house

Simply amazing place! Located in a quiet area surrounded by nature (you might spot some elephants) but still close to the town (c. 10m walk). The room is very spacious, cozy and beautifully designed. The owner family is super friendly and helpful, they arranged so many interesting plans for us (e.g. to the local vegetable market in Dambulla). Its like having an additional tour guide. Breakfast is also super delicious, everyday lots of different traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Our favourite accomondation during our whole Sri Lanka trip. Highly recommend this place in every aspect 10/10!

Un hôtel dans un cadre unique! En plein milieu de la nature où vous pourrez peut être apercevoir des éléphants en liberté. Les hôtes sont très gentils et accueillants, seul bémol, des échanges un peu compliqué à cause d'un anglais moyennement maîtrisé. La chambre est très spacieuse et le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Je recommande vivement!

This tree house was stunning! It was spotlessly clean & felt quite luxurious inside. It was an easy 6 minute walk down to some lovely restaurants and bars and the owners picked us up in their Tuk Tuk at the end of the night (it’s dangerous to walk around in the dark because of elephants!) Also the inclusive breakfast was delicious. We loved this place and wish we could have stayed longer!

Wat een fantastische plek heeft deze treehouse. Je waant je midden in een oase van rust met een fantastisch uitzicht! Het is heerlijk bijkomen op de veranda met de ondergaande zon en een biertje! De treehouse is ruim, schoon en goed onderhouden! De treehouse is in tegenstelling tot eerdere berichten, goed te vinden door middel van bewegwijzering langs de kant van de weg, het ligt iets verder van de weg af, maar met een kleine 10 minuten lopen ben je al bij allerlei restaurantjes. Uitgebreid ontbijt wordt geserveerd en er is genoeg ruimte voor het parkeren van je tuktuk!

Eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk, maar spreken wat gebrekkig engels en er is geen airco aanwezig, wel goede ventilatoren. Aangezien je toch vroeg op moet voor het beklimmen van de berg, was dit voor ons geen enkel probleem.

Freundlichster Gastgeber ever! Zuvorkommend und extrem freundlich. Er oder ein Freund haben uns mit dem Tuktuk gefahren und im Dunkeln abgeholt nach kurzer Nachricht. Er organisierte eine Safari und den Transport mit einem Fahrer für einen Tag mit Besichtigungs-Stops und Weitertransport zu unserem nächsten Urlaubsziel. Wirklich hervorragendes Frühstück mit einheimischen Spezialitäten. WLAN/Wifi war super (Router im Zimmer). Warmwasser auch gut. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Our host, Hasitha, was incredibly helpful. He arranged airport pickup and drove us around in his tuktuk. He arranged a dawn trip to Pidurangala, followed by a climb up Sigirya rock, followed by a jeep safari to Minneriya. All excellent. Breakfast was delicious. The room was comfortable and spacious. Hasitha showed our children some fruits in the garden and picked them for us to taste. I cannot recommend highly enough.

The accommodation is very comfortable and has an incredibly wonderful atmosphere. You immediately feel at home. Our host was also incredibly kind, helpful, and simply pleasant. We received help with all our questions and little issues. We can highly recommend this place!

If there is anything to criticize at all, it would perhaps be the somewhat remote location.

The property is secluded, but within walking distance of nearby restaurants. Despite our late arrival, the owner helped arrange a morning trip to Pidurangala Rock to watch the sunrise, followed by a safari. The breakfast was excellent (one of the best we had during our stay in Sri Lanka). The place was amazing—we extended our stay for another night.

The drawback in the summer was the lack of air conditioning and the specific smell of wood inside the facility - but the natural surroundings, great breakfast and polite people completely compensate for these inconveniences.

The staff were exceptional. Very helpful with facilitating tours and transport. Breakfast was lovely and the tree house was very comfortable. A great stay.

What an incredible experience staying in this beautiful treehouse! The room was lovely, clean, and cozy. The best part was waking up to the sound of birds singing outside, surrounded by lush nature – it truly felt like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our host was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. I would choose this accommodation again.

Wonderful treehouse, very quiet surrounding, good homemade breakfast, friendly and helpful staff

To reach the treehouse you have to pass several barking dogs, which made it a little unrelaxed.

The people who run the place are very nice and they arranged for dinner promptly on informing them what we needed . There was a bit of a language barrier however they tried their best to communicate

I got charged higher than what was shown on booking.com as tariff for my room . when asked I was shown a different rate which was a bit strange however I agreed as I was anyways leaving to next destination .

Beautiful tree house and very kind owner. Breakfast was great. The only matter was the light and fan, which slowed down when using water heater!

Very nice accommodation for the price. Excellent breakfast. The accommodation is accessed via a narrow path through the jungle, but is easy to find. You will enjoy the peace and quiet of nature with the sounds of the jungle.

Beautiful tree house with great attention to detail. The host Hasitha was extremely helpful and friendly. I felt very comfortable at all times. As it is a bit remote, I was advised not to walk alone, also due to possible animal encounters, but Hasitha was always on hand to drive me. The breakfast is prepared by the mother of the family and was excellent. The coconut roti in particular was my absolute highlight. Highly recommended overall.

The Tree House was great! It was very clean and spacious. Sitting on the terrace in the evening was really amazing. The family that hosts you was so lovely, and the breakfast was delicious!

one of the best accommodations in Sri Lanka when travelling on a budget. Very nice environment, the whole place to yourself and a view right into the trees and the lion rock. Very nice breakfast which was definitely enough to get through part of the day

I would correct the punctuality a little bit, because if we have an agenda and we need to leave at a certain time and therefore we set breakfast for a certain time, it should be respected. Probably a classic in Sri Lanka, but if you need to work with more data on the internet, it's good to have your own SIM.

Host was really accomodating and helpful. Everything was good, from the room, the kindness and reactivity of Hasita (who woke up at 4am to bring us to spot the sunset) and the breakfast! I would recommend 100%, we had a really nice time there

Our favourite stay on our holiday in Sri Lanka! Unbelievable value for money! Fabulous chalet with terrace and view of Sigiriya Rock. Best breakfast, far too much food, all homemade, all delicious! Our host was able to help with calling Tuk Tues and a driver for our onward journey too.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We also loved the location, as it was near enough to restaurants in the evening, but far enough to feel remote. The sounds of widlife in the night time was very special and the view of Lion Rock from the room is fantastic. The breakfast is all very tasty and extremely generous, with fruits, home made pancakes, omlettes and other tasty treats. The room is spacious and the balcony has a seating area, where we enjoyed the sounds of the jungle with a drink.

The electric shower did not produce hot water at the time (hopefully will be fixed soon), but after a day out a cold shower can be refreshing.

This was a unique experience to stay in such a beautiful tree house! There was only one room and the breakfast was served just for us downstairs every morning. The room was so clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good and the person who was taking care of the room was always there for us. He also found us a tuktuk to go to Lion Gate.

The only thing we can say is about the location. The room is in a beautiful forest, however it is far from the restaurants. You can walk however, it is too dark and sometimes the road can be muddy. So you have to take a tuktuk to go to the hotel at nights.

The guy Hasitha was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was the best among all our other 6 hotels.

The room doesnt have ac, only fans. Towels were stinky, i felt it didn’t dry well and thats why they had bad smells. There is no place to keep your luggage in case you need to some activities after checking out hours. We wanted to experience tree house but didnt see any livings next to our tree house.

We had a great stay with Hasitha. The tree house is amazing, large, clean and had a great view. There even is a water cooker with complimentary tra and coffee and the breakfast is just fantastic with all sorts of Sti Lankan dishes and fresh fruits. Simply the best we have had here! Even though communication in English was somewhat challenging, everything worked out well and he arranged all sorts of things for us like bike rental and tuktuk rides for reasonable prices! Would definitely recommend staying here! Oh and wifi works like a wonder!

We had an excellent stay at Sigiriya Rock View Tree House! It exceeded our expectations. The tree house is really beautiful, it has everything you need, with views of the jungle and Lion Rock. Hasitha, and his mom took good care of us and they made us feel at home during the week we stayed there. They are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast... Holy mother of God, was simply the best one we had in a month around Sri Lanka! If they continue with such a good service and fair prices we are sure that they will have a lot of success! Lots of love and kind memories from Iñaki & Lone.

Beautiful tree house accommodation with a rock view. Wonderful young, local host. Very helpful. It's all the way to the end of the lane. Some accommodations in the area have a similar name. Breakfast was amazing also.

Great hospitality. Very kind and helpful host. Superb breakfast. Tasty food. We were in middle of jungle. This is best, newly prepared tree house. From balcony we saw sigiriya lion rock. Nishantha and his brother organized everything here. I can recommend everyone this tree house. Its new experience ❤️

The construction concept is attractive. It gives a different feeling. The whole front side wall is made of glass, transparent to see the entire front include in the Sigiriya rock. The owner of the property Mr. Nishantha is very cordial and having full of hospitality qualities. You can ask any kind of food, they are willing to prepare it. For us, food served is much more than enough. Two kings size beds are more than enough for 4 persons for comfortably sleeping. It's a newly opened facility .very clean. Highly recommended place if you are not looking for Star class hotel facility.

Still the air conditioning facility is not available. However after midnight the climate is very cool and no need air conditioning.
