The bathroom looks tired, could do with updating. Taps in the wash basin very tight, the extraction fan is very noisy and runs on for a considerable time after switching off the bathroom light.
Convenient location. Family friendly.
The pillow was uncomfortable. It would be useful to have more sockets.
Staff were nice and accommodating but the condition of the place left a lot to be desired. Location was good/ close to train station.
Room was very basic and bathroom very aged. Shower was very weak and non-detachable, and temperature adjustment was not good
Food is excellent are great value. Location is perfect if you’re looking at a business trip.
Rooms very dated, bed not overly comfortable and shower/bath facilities average. The whole hotel needs a bit of TLC, so value I paid reflected that.
Nice to a good bath.
The grass cutters were making a noise by 7.30 a.m.
Location
Hotel room facilities very tired requires updating and decoration
Nice short stay. Clean and tidy with friendly hotel staff
Spacious and nice lighting good tv and tea and coffee included , bathroom was nice too
Old fashioned and rough carpets
Close to town
The bed was dirty and I couldn’t sleep in the bed because of this,
It was easy to find.
Very old 80’s decoration. Requires modernisation.
Ideal location for what we travelled for, staff especially at breakfast and dinner were great
Smelt clean and only cross the car park for breakfast
Needs a little bit more of a touch up painting
The shower in room 24 was really bad quality. Needs fixing to either have good pressure or stop the leaking out the side.
Conveniently located just a short walk away from the town centre with a car park with lots of spaces. I also liked the early check in, saving me to do so late at night after the rugby game.
The room was tired and in need of redecorating. I also noticed the carpet had not been fully vacuum cleaned.
Staff are friendly and the location is convenient. Free parking and walking distance to stations and town.
An ex premier inn hotel, run down rooms in need of TLC.
The bed was comfortable
I was not able to connect to the TV I stayed for 3 days and within those 3 days there was no room attendant. The TV was not connected to WiFi No Netflix or YouTube on TV Room felt quite hot. It would have been nice to have AC
Good location and professional and friendly staff
Breakfast not included
The excess heat in the room was bad despite the temperature outside dropping substantially to 18c. The fans were clogged up with fluff and dirt which made them ineffective. Had to clean ourselves. Air-conditioning didn't work.
Great location for the town Bit overpriced for just a bed
The staff were so helpful 10/10
Quiet
Vriendelijk personeel, lekker ontbijt, comfortabele bed.
Werking bad/douche kraan was niet eenvoudig. Best wat uitleg voorzien. Badkamer kan een upgrade gebruiken ofwel grondige reiniging.
Receptionist was very friendly and helpful
Lovely grounds and interior.
N/a
Has a bar and restaurant onsite
We stayed 2 nights but our room wasn’t made up when we came back after being out all day it was just how we left it in the morning also we weren’t given enough towels or toilet roll so had to ask for more of both
Nice room, friendly helpful staff. Gorgeous pub
The pub was lovely The accommodation was ok Nice touch having soap & shower gel
It was dated No air conditioning, boiling hot , a fan that just moved hot air around . Just couldn’t sleep because it was so hot
Every thing was great the food the staff the room
Nothing
Where it was
Very old. Carpets are not clean, bathroom was run down. There was not air conditioning and the heat in the room was beyond rediculous. In desperate need of an update.
Nice quiet area, very friendly and helpful staff. The room is a decent size and clean.
No air conditioning during summer makes for a difficult sleep. The mattress is not very comfortable and the bathrooms are very outdated.
Everything
Nothing
Staff were very friendly
Whole building very tired. Our room was generally grubby, sweet wrappers were left on the floor of bathroom from a previous occupant. No attempt had been made to fill holes in bathroom after facilites had been replaced
Friendly staff and close to Gulliver’s world
Very dated rooms needed re painting and bathroom door unable to close bathroom needs upgrade needs walk in shower bath to high to get in /out .breakfast very disappointing menu needs renewed speaking to other guests they prefer buffet type service (I asked for pancakes and was served with 6 pancakes covered with chocolate all over top and around plate with ice cream it looked disgusting and didn’t taste very nice I would of preferred to do my own)
The Staff were friendly especially Les one of the night receptionists. The location was good as was the parking.
The Hotel itself was tired and under maintained. The Bathrooms are outdated with chips in the bath and holes in the wall leaving exposed rawl plugs. The bedside lights didn't work and there were no plugs at either side of the bed to charge Mobile phones. The Net curtain in our room was torn. There was no toilet brush in the Bathroom. I also saw a Rat outside reception by The Bins. Greene King make huge profits and should make sure that their properties are better maintained. The Pub next door the food was good but surprisingly lacked a decent Real Ale selection! Possibly not surprising with Greene Kings penchant for closing down Breweries!
Very comfy and what we expected from the cost. Friendly staff, well stocked refreshments in room.
Shower leaks but works ok. Bathroom tiles could be cleaned as some were yellow stained
Die Zimmer waren nicht gut gesaugt, das Badezimmer hatte Schimmel, die Dusche funktionierte nicht gut und am schlimmsten war die schmutzige Toilette. Unfassbar eklig
Well situated near town centre
Bathroom was filthy. Creaky floorboards across the entire room (room 12)
Open and good seating arrangements
Good parking plenty of space good bar staff and a pleasant atmosphere
Clean, great location, plenty of parking, easy experience
Rooms are a bit tired but that explains the price
Staff very helpful and friendly! Restaurant bit pricey! Would come back to stay again . Happy customer
Restaurant bit pricey
Good location for town centre and train stations. Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable The food in the restaurant was lovely
Lovely quiet area, very friendly staff. There is a fan in the room which was necessary for the hot days since there is no air conditioning in the room. The room was quite large and clean.
It’s a bit out of the way, there is not much in this area besides the pub. A little pricey for what it is but probably because it’s used for events such as weddings.
We came up from Northampton to Warrington for our Nephew’s 50th birthday so the hotel was perfect
Very disappointed with our room, No shower gel in the dispenser and we did not bring any, we only had i bath towel between us and and one hand towel, and no wifi at all Also through the night a noise kept us awake like a generator Kind regards Mrs Maureen Lucas Room 37
Breakfast was exceptional.
It was all good
Good value and restaurant attached is very handy.
Rooms were super hot so a better air conditioning system would help in the summer months.
The hotel was lovely and clean , staff were friendly and for what we needed the location was perfect
Great location - easy walking distance to the town centre, but far enough away to be reasonably quiet. Not only is there the pub/restaurant next door to the hotel, but also another pub just across the road, as well as the delights of Warrington within a 5-10 minute walk. The room sizes are always generous and it's so good to be able to have a bath!
The hotel could really do with a refurbishment. We stayed at the hotel 4 years ago and the decor was looking tired then, it was definitely much worse this time. The shower was also less than ideal with low water pressure and difficulty switching between bath and shower (the shower was over the bath). Placement of power outlets could have been better. I don't think we would stay here again until a refurbishment had taken place.
Superb accomodation. The Aircon on a very hot day was very welcome. The location about a mile off the North Wales Expressway was really convenient. To leave a busy road and find yourself in an oasis of beautiful countryside with outstanding views of the Dee Estuary was amazing. My wife and I both agree we were very lucky to find this gem of a place. The house manager Callum was so friendly and is an asset .
Nothing to dislike at all.
Location
Breakfast service was a disaster Chef can’t cook bacon and eggs
Although they had a wedding happening at their site during the same period we stayed there, it was surprisingly very quiet. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel/rooms are a bit outdated with signs of hard wear (door handle broken, toilet flush handle broken, cracked tiles, carpet worn, etc, etc) It could do with a revamp and modernisation.
Great staff, great food choice, comfortable room
Only one towel
Everything about the place, so clean, good location, good staff, nice room , tea and cover was provided in the room. Very fantastic place. And I will like to revisit the place again.
Nothing, everything provided in the room is standard and ok
Greene King Inns are clean, well run and affordable and this one was no exception.
Location to station
Location great, beautiful restaurant, great food, lovely venue, great car park, comfy beds
Bathroom needed good clean, toilet didn't have a good flush, bath very dirty around taps, mouldy sealant & rusty marks. Didn't feel comfortable using a dirty bath or standing in it for a shower. Also one of the bedside lights dirty work.
Clean comfortable room, quiet (despite a wedding reception in the main building) and friendly staff.
Staff on both hotel and pub very friendly and helpful Bed comfy
Had to hunt for fans as no a/c…..very hot day. Tired decor and lack of useable power sockets
This is my second time staying at this hotel. Clean, quiet, good location. The best thing is the Waterside bar/restaurant. Good food, great service and good prices.
The food was very good
No Air-conditioning and the fan was not good enough
Good location for the wedding we were attending Breakfast was excellent Parking facilities were also good
Room was basic with no air con Bathroom was shabby & unclean Shower gel & hand wash were both empty There was 1 bath towel for a double occupency !
Friendly staff. Nice garden.
Room was so hot. On the ground floor and couldn't open the window dow more than a few inches.
Breakfast good
Great position excellent parking facilities
Nothing really
Clean and central

Location
Basic Very noisy No sleep Toilet roll no changed not enough
Stayed here last year. Great location. Really nice staff. Spacious rooms and bath as well as shower.
Nothing
The bathroom full of mould bad could not take shower I did report it room 3 the grout on tiles bad as well big chip out of bath. We used toilet and hand washed in sin I stay here often
Main tainace not good
Very quite area, lovley clean hotel, staff very pleasant and did juggle a few things around so we could check in early and get to the festival we was at on time. Alao the resturant/bar next door was amazing Absolutely amazimg stay, will deffo recomend and come bacl again Thank you
Not much. If being picky, lacking in plug sockets, the shower was a bit weak in pressure, toilet flush was hard work and the bedroom view wasnt amazing but value for money and really happy with the cleanlyness
Room decor
No separate shower and loud wedding party. Plus upstairs floorboards creaking under foot so very noisy trying to sleep
Didn’t really get chance to sample the breakfast in full as I needed to depart by 07:15. Perhaps should consider starting breakfast at 06:30 Monday to Friday?
Hotel is crying out for a refurbishment, it’s very dated. It’s so far behind compared to say premier inn rooms which have been refurbished over the last few years.
The location was good
The bathroom was small the shower was awful it was very clean I could get any sleep the doors were banging all night I was meant to be staying here for two nights but at 4.30 am I had enough I booked another hotel I never got any sleep absolutely terrible hotel
Location and price
Nothing .clean if not a little dated.
This is a good base to visit our son who recently moved to the area. The accommodation is separate from the restaurant making the stay more enjoyable.
The soap dispenser was empty
Breakfast was great,staff lovely.
Thought room was very basic
