Everything beautiful
Lovely friendly welcome, they even managed to have our rooms ready before the check-in time. Rooms were super clean!! and smelled so fresh! Beds were really comfortable too! Breakfast was lovely too. Couldnt of wished for a better location really central too.
Welcoming staff-Jude is phenomenal-helpful, courteous, friendly and patient. Room was beautiful, comfy and lovely room and bathroom. Location is in heart of town, Even the post office is next store. Convenient on street parking. Lovely full breakfast included in delightful onsite cafe. Highly recommend!
No hot water for shower. Lamp didn’t work. Small room.
It was a great central location and had a great atmosphere.
It was a wonderful old, well maintained hotel. Parking is tough, but once you have that everything else is perfect. Staff was kind and efficient. Highly recommend!
The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeper. The woman at reception helped us with reservations and other interesting information about the area.
Excellent Service.
Great store fronts. Good variety of shops, plenty of pubs and restaurants No AC in rooms but we had two windows to allow nice airflow. Recommend bringing a fan.
Perfect hotel for exploring Kinsale. Very convenient location with access to the harbor and walking streets. Parking was simple and across the street. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Plus, the breakfast in the hotel cafe in the morning was fantastic. Highly recommended.
No hair drier, shower is not a good experience, the faucet does not combine hot and cold water. Too much money for what was offered.
This property was not much better than a backpackers and did not live up to reviews. No air conditioning. The bathroom was so in need of refurbishment cracked basin and toilet. Carpet needed replacing, things needing repairing. If we hadn’t got the windows opened we would not have been able to stay. Only redeeming feature was staff and location.
Getting upgrade was exciting UNTIL. Jacuzzi bath- out of order, sky box doesn't work, lots of light swithches broken or do nothing, flock of pigeons living outside bedroom windows. Bed was comfortable whie pillows terrible, hole in hallway floor under carpet etc
Great location. The room was cozy and had all that we needed. It isn’t fancy or new. It’s just charming authentic and cozy. And right in town. Had to park for free in a nearby lot. Not an issue.
Fabulous location, right downtown and close to everything. Great bar and restaurant!
We had a wonderful stay at The Old Bank House. Lovely staff, beautiful room, comfortable bed, spacious space in the heart of Kinsale. Our breakfast was the best we had in Ireland.
Great location. Beautiful building.
Loved this location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots to do in the area.
Can't go wrong with this one; perfect location and price and a wonderful staff!
No A/C. Bed was shot.
Staff was lovely. Our breakfast was included and it was delicious. Room was nice and clean.
The manager was extremely helpful and friendly. Great location in Kinsale and walkability was excellent.
was a nice spot for 1 night. Breakfast was excellent.
This is a very quaint and upgraded boutique hotel. Great views and comfortable room.
Lovely place..clean and convenient location
Lovely hotel right in the centre of Tralee. Super friendly reception. Cafe for breakfast is delighted and food is top-notch. Will return and recommend
I loved this place and even though it was confusing to check in at a different hotel down the block, it was very easy once we figured it out haha everyone was very sweet and the room was beautiful and clean. We will definitely stay again!
Property in very unhelpful. No service. DO NOT STAY HERE if you want a place that cares about your stay.
This is a hands down must stay! I slept so peaceful & woke up rested, best smelling bath products used & kind staff.
Great place to stay
A must stop town. The 9/11 memorial garden is a must see. NEVER FORGET
Room was very cool. Awesome space , historic.
Great location right downtown. The hotel has paper thin walls and the beds weren’t that comfortable.
Enjoyed all of it
This is a delightful find in the center of Kinsale. It is easy to walk everywhere. The rooms are updated well and comfortable. We loved the staff! A winner!!
It was okay. Television did not work properly. ? Complicated ck in and out! Good local.
Great little hotel down by the water
Hotel was a quaint older building. Lots of charm and character, clean, good location -- but the mattress felt as old as the place and I did not get good sleep. When paying a boutique hotel price, I expect to have a comfortable, modern bed.
Not 5 stars! Tired rooms, public spaces, photos much nicer than reality.
Great location, friendly Staff, very good breakfast
A beautiful and comfortable hotel- we had a stunning room overlooking the water.
Great location - right in the center of town. The building is very old and well maintained however the windows didn’t fully open or close so noise and cooling were hard to manage. The bath was very modern for such an old building.
We were very concerned about our stay and the conditions of the hotel. The door handle would not work properly and made it extremely difficult to get in and out of the room. The handle spun around, but didn’t engage and open and shut the door. There was mold in our room which can be seen in the picture attached. We attempted to find hotel staff to advise but could not find a staff at the reception. Upon checking our accounts we noticed that we were overcharged. I have written to the hotel twice already and have had no response. I generally do not like to leave bad reviews, but I felt that this was necessary given the above. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff were helpful and offered a lot of information! The location is excellent, and the restaurant downstairs is great for breakfast or coffee!
Charming, classic hotel. Very friendly staff. Great pastries and coffee all day available. All Kinsale pubs and restaurants nearby.
The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The property’s location was convenient and central to things I wanted to do and see. The staff were helpful. I was a bit uncomfortable with the sag in the floor. It creaked and I had to wonder how well supported the floor was underneath.
Maria was amazing. Our room wasn’t ready so she upgraded us to a nicer one! She heard me say I was flying out before breakfast so she wrapped one up, bagged it and brought it to my room an hour after checking in. Top tier service. So friendly, great recommendations, charming atmosphere, wonderfully located. Will come back.
Went to blue haven to check in at old bank house as instructed. They said they tried to contact me that we couldn’t stay there due to a maintenance issue and had to stay at blue haven. No compensation. Firstly I’ve had endless messages advertising so I don’t believe they couldn’t contact me. They also had my email and number to leave voicemail. Paid $30eu pp for the world’s smallest breakfast. Madness. Wouldn’t return. Bags of laundry in the hall for the entire stay too. Dingy room. Disappointed.
Pas d’eau chaude dans la chambre … inacceptable !
Brill
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Old Bank House in Kinsale. The charming atmosphere, historic ambiance, and impeccable service made for a delightful experience. While the TV reception was subpar, the overall warmth and character of the place more than compensated for it. I would gladly return for the unique charm and excellent hospitality.
Lovely boutique hotel right in the centre of Kinsale. Beautiful rooms and spotlessly clean. Nice staff - very friendly. No bar or restaurant but not needed as the little cafe on the ground floor was lovely and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Totally recommend staying here.
Location is great and staff were super nice. The room itself was a little tight and tired. Parking can be a nightmare anywhere in downtown Kinsale, so if you don't have a car, you'll be alright.
I would never ever stay at this property again, room needs condemned, plug sockets broken, iron broken, hairdryer, yes Broken, window frame full of mould, window would not close, road noise was horrible, towels smelt of sour milk, mould on the bath, every single floor board squeaked, nobody available on reception the following morning to complain too, avoid at all costs. I will be seeking a full refund from Hotels . Com
Wonderful friendly staff, super food.
Super responsive and very helpful. Lovely place to stay.
Street side room was extremely noisy. Road noise, nighttime working on man hole cover, car alarm going off for 40 minutes and noisy hallway from drunken neighbors & garbage pickup. These are out of the control of the hotel, but be sure to request room not on the street side.
Friendly welcome from both receptionists in Blue Haven & Old Bank Townhouse. Hotel is in a beautiful building located right in the heart of Kinsale with views over the marina. The rooms are of a very high quality with original period features, very clean and the large bed was one of the best we have ever slept in. Dinner in the Blue Haven restaurant is not to be missed and breakfast in the Old Bank House cafe was divine. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Our stay, although very short, was great. We loved the location and walkability of the town. The coffee shop was an added bonus.
From the day before when we were called to confirm our arrival time to when we arrived, the communication has been outstanding, warm and welcoming.
Very cozy and warm just like Kinsale
Beautiful hotel in a lovely seaside village.
Chambre un peu petite mais avec le confort minimum requis. Bonne literie
We hadn’t planned to come to Kinsale but came because our flight from Cork was cancelled due to a UK air traffic control outage. This was definitely a good outcome from a bad situation. The bed was comfortable, and the room had all the necessary items such as coffee and toiletries. One thing that was especially helpful for us was the first floor residents lounge. Since our flight out of Cork was a late one, we stored our bags and were able to spend our last hour before boarding the bus relaxing in a nice spot with a restroom, wi-if, and comfortable sofas. The property could not be more convenient to all you will need: shopping, restaurants, beautiful walks, and even an off license grocery next door with nice coffee and hot food takeaway.
Aside from the squeaky floor, everything was excellent
The hotel was just okay. The tv did not work, and there was not enough electrical outlets.
