Reviewed Aug 30, 2026Hotel was clean. Welcoming staff. Hotel food was fresh. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful and, unusually for Egypt, did not constantly hassle for tips.
Very poor WiFi. Very limited breakfast. Indifferent lunch. Bathroom was very cramped and in need of renovation.

Οι φωτογραφίες ήταν παραπλανητικές καμία σχέση με την πραγματικότητα πολύ βρώμικο το δωμάτιο το πρωινό άθλιο όλα ήταν βρώμικα στις 5 μέρες που μείναμε μία φορά μονοκαθάρισαν το δωμάτιο το κτίριο ήταν άθλιο το ίδιο και εξυπηρέτηση καμία σχέση με τα πραγματικότητα ούτε μισό αστέρι δεν αξίζει θα ζητήσω αποζημίωση από εσας

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Great location, very clean, good Wi-Fi, generous breakfast, and very helpful staff. Very kind breakfast waitress. Very close to all underground lines. Two McDonald’s nearby avd two supermarkets (Kazyon). Would come again.
Diner prices a little high, too touristic. 550 EGP for a meal.. we never saw anyone eating dinner during our stay. Probably with better prices kaku would have, given the stunning view from the restaurant. Not the hotel’s fault but the Cairo Museum is very run down from my last visit..

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026In my opinion you won't find a better Tahrir Square location,also walking distance to the Nile,Mcd,Kfc,Pizza Hut.The building is a faded grand Parisien type,seen in the high ceilings,French doors and windows.My room was comfortable and offered cold ac,cable tv,fridge,updated bath.What I looked forward to was breakfast on the cafe terrasse /balcony overlooking Tahrir Square and out to the Nile.All the people I met who work here were very nice.They can also book tours,taxi to the pyramids, airports,as they did for me at very reasonable rates and Mohamed their driver was very informative and always on time.
The price to value ratio is so high,there is nothing to dislike

Reviewed May 18, 2026The location is amazing. I have stayed at City View on previous visits to Cairo. Sitting on the balcony having breakfast over Tahrir square is a great experience. The hotel is really clean and the beds are comfortable to sleep in. I spent 5 nights there on this visit and found the hotel staff very helpful.
It's very minor, but things like the soap holders in the bathrooms could have their screws tightened.

Reviewed Mar 30, 2026Puras MENTIRAS EN ESTE HOTEL LAS FOTOS SON MENTIRAS. LAS CAMAS PESIMAS, EL DESAYUNO HORRIBLE , Pésima experiencia. Ojala no permitan Booking que presenten fotos de hace 10 años como me dijo el dueño. NO ES JUSTO QUE NOS ENGAÑEN ASI DESPUES DE UN VIAJE TAN LARGO.
El hotel es mega incómodo. Las camas terribles, viejas, todas se hunden, mala atencion, sucio, una verdadera mala experiencia un desayuno fatal. No es justo que engañen con fotos viejas de hace 10 años. No lo recomiendo para nada.

De boiler werd niet echt warm. Dit gemeld en de man zette deze aan en uit en zei dat over 15 minuten weer warm water zou zijn. Nou dit was dus niet het geval dus we hebben niet echt kunnen douchen

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing Nile River and museum view from the room.k The location is perfect. The hotel is close to the Egyptian museum. Just a few minutes walk to the museum. And some restaurants are nearby. Clean room & comfy bed. The breakfast food is okay.
There is no coffee maker found in the room. Also, bodywash is missing in the bathroom. No hand soap supplied as well. It would be a much better and convenient if accepting credit card to pay the room charges.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2026С балкона открывается вид на всю площадь Тахрир. Через дорогу Египетский музей, рядом много мест, где можно пообедать и выпить кофе с пирожным. В номере чисто, кровати удобные. В душе горячая вода постоянно. Персонал предупредительный.
При заселении попытались отправить вместо "делюкс" в каморку без окон. Правда, услышав недовольное шипение, сразу же всё исправили. Три дня подряд на завтрак давали одно и то же: тушёная фасоль, фалафель, варёное яйцо, плавленый сырок, булка, халва, йогурт, чай, кофе, банан, апельсин.

スタッフの笑顔が少ない。朝ごはんの量が少ない。シャワーのお湯の出が悪かったし、バスタブの栓が閉まらずお湯がたまらなかった。

Reviewed Feb 23, 2026Hôtel modeste à l'ambiance familiale, super bien situé au centre du quartier de la place Tahir et donc près des commerces. Le personnel est attentif et facilite vraiment le séjour (repas sur place, blanchisserie...). Je le recommande pour les femmes voyageant seules car il est très sûr. C'est propre et les chambres sont confortables, la vue sur la place Tahir est vraiment agréable même si forcément c'est bruyant. Je conseille le restaurant El Wing pas loin du tout, pour une cuisine simple et délicieuse.
Le petit déjeuner est toujours le même avec des produits de qualité moyenne, ça va pour un ou deux jours mais pas quand on y reste six comme ce fut notre cas.

Reviewed Jan 29, 2026No me gustó nada, desde la entrada que es un lobby todo sucio y antiguo el ascensor que parece que se fuera a caer hasta las habitaciones que son viejas mal pintadas , no limpian la habitación a diario el baño un completo desastre , del desayuno mejor no opinar (ya que puede ser algo tradicional de allá , pero no me agradó) , la limpieza está ausente en todo el hotel ,

Daily breakfast same menu every day more variety would be appreciated Housekeeping staff did a nice job keeping room clean. Location of the hotel is very good with nice views from the balcony and faces the old Egyptian museum. Short distance to many eating places and many shopping stores all around. This hotel is old and extremely outdated , much needed renovations and upgrading.
This hotel was very old outdated a lot of construction and debris in the lobby area when entering hotel Experience a lot of difficulty with the Wi-Fi not working for couple days. Hotel needs new renovations and new upgrading. Mold and mildew all around bathroom. Room rates were expensive and doesn’t justify the accommodations provided. Daily breakfast had same menu every day more variety would be appreciated

There was no water bottle complementary. There was no free coffee in the breakfast. They asked us to pay. It was costly for the prices. The lift was not good.
