Reviewed Aug 5, 2026It is quite well localized, easy-accessed on a main avenue (between Ave. Ponce de León and Ave. Fernández Juncos, with hotel entrance on Crossing St., Calle San Jorge). The have a select number of rooms and arrangements across 5 floors, two of which are distributed across two connecting buildings, topped by a property bound, open yet partially sun shaded terrace where self dinning, gathering, smoking, and allowed personal activities can be performed, as well as a coin(quarter-only) laundry with a single large load washing and a single large load drying machines are available for use. Smoking in rooms is strictly prohibited. It is usually amenable for last-minute trip extensions at reasonable rates. There is adequate water pressure and availability of hot water in showers and faucets across the property.
A few things could be optimized, such as the color palette selection of the building and its premises, as well as the maintenance and appearance of the small gardens and plants within the property.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026felt safe, theres no private parking you gotta park on the road but there was always space to park in front of the hotel. close to el morro less then 15 min drive to a parking lot by el morro. i was able to walk to many restaurants. staff always answered the phone calls, no surprises. very small older room and hotel but room was very clean. very organized and very creative with the remote check in process ince your inside the lobby acter hours.
ive stayed in many hotels this one felt cozy gives you experience on how many people live in tiny rooms but it feels confortable.

Person on TV checked you in, most likely from another country! It was very very ODD never happened in my life before. They used your last 4 digits of your phone number for your room door entrance, which the touchscreen was up for anybody to touch and could’ve seen my phone number. Because I could see someone else’s Hotel portfolio on screen and saw all the different room numbers you could touch the screen and open up other people’s portfolio. They almost ran my credit card on someone else’s portfolio amount which was for three nights versus one night. they had a coffee maker in the lobby that was empty in the morning. Our windows in the bedroom were permanently open. We could not close it so we heard all the motorcycles and car alarms very easy.

Reviewed Mar 18, 2026My experience at Hotel San Jorge was nothing short of extraordinary. After my original booking was unexpectedly canceled, I arrived in San Juan without any place to stay. From the very first moment, the staff stepped in with genuine care and urgency, finding a way to accommodate me for the first couple of nights despite how complicated the situation was. Over the weekend, the hotel became completely full and I was once again left without options, while most other hotels in the city were also fully booked. Instead of turning me away, they made sure I was safe and allowed me to remain in the lobby. What truly stood out was what happened next: around midnight, when a room unexpectedly became available, they immediately prepared it so I could finally rest and continue my stay. They didn’t have to go to those lengths—but they did Throughout everything, the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and sincere. Traveling alone in a new city can be overwhelming, and they made me feel safe, and genuinely cared for. The hotel itself is comfortable, well-maintained, and clearly cared for, but what makes this place truly special is the people behind it. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel San Jorge to anyone visiting San Juan. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place where people truly look out for you.
Overall, considering this is a 2–3 star hotel, it meets expectations in terms of facilities. There is a small buffet area and vending machines available with snacks and drinks.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2026Old and dated efficiency. Everything was smaller than usual. Surprisingly the shower was the only thing we didn't have to squeeze into. No sink in bathroom. Strangely enough sink was next to the bed. Very odd and inconvenient. Entry was in a slide street.
It was ok for a night rest so, we didn't need to sleep at the airport.

The lock kept getting reset for unknown reasons and requires a receptionist to help. The bed cover probably guather dusts easily so I just get rashes. It was fine after removing.

Las habitaciones tienen el techo con marcas de que había filtraciónes, sugiero remodelar. El hotel no tiene desayuno y tiene la estructura para ofrecerlo, debiera habilitar un área aunque lo cobre. El servicio en general podría mejorar, honrar sus palabras. Resulta que el joven que atiende en la noche informó que se podía usar una habitación una noche porque tenía otra confirmada, después al otro dia dijeron que no y nos cobraron a sin consentimiento un cargo extra a nuestra tarjeta. Cuando regrese a mi pais me encontré con la solpresa.
