Very good value excellent location friendly owners
Excellent location, cosy room and easy check-in
perfekte Lage, schönes Zimmer, Parkmöglichkeit sehr gut - empfehlenswert
Room was clean and the bed very comfy. Location was great as very close to the centre.
The shower was in danger of over-flowing as the drainage was not good but I had hot water so it was okay. The room was clean although the carpet in front of the window was quite wet where it had rained and the window had been left open. There was no breakfast.
Nice spacious room, comfy bed and good Shower, close to Town and a nice Greeting from the lady There, good value for money ,would stay again 😊👍
Only Criticism I was ok with it,but the very steep acute stairs, someone elderly may struggle to get up them ,nice size room and excellent shower
Excellent location 5min from the high street. Quiet street. Lovely room, super comfortable bed with exceptionally clean white linen!
All was great.
Location
I had to ask for fresh towels and rubbish to be removed from the room twice. we didnt get room service, for the value I paid , I believe it is not acceptable.
Niente.
Great location in central Canterbury with easy access from both train stations. Beautifully designed and very comfortable room, with everything you might need for a short stay.
Alles da, was man benötigt.
Location was very good, and city noise quiet too considering it's so central. Room had its charm, being part of quite an old building. Ample storage space. Shower was good. Check in was nice and easy.
Not enough toilet roll, I was woken up and kept awake by other residents/staff (walls/ceiling quite thin) jangling keys in locks and talking loudly, the room was quite dimly lit, I found it impossible to fully close the curtain, could've done with a full length mirror in the room, mattress was lumpy and I could feel the springs, plug socket for telly looked dangerously overloaded. For a similar price you can stay on the UKC campus and get an included breakfast which is what I'll be doing next time.
The room had everything I needed included shower and toilet. The room was clean and the linen was laundered to a very high standard. I had a very comfortable night's sleep. You can hear the movement of other guests, but everyone behaved well - and ear plugs are provided!
Because I needed to use my computer late into the evening for work purposes, I would have benefitted from slightly better lighting.
A real english breakfast with a very kind staff
Excellent location right in the centre with private parking. Room was very clean, check in was easy and great value for money. Would love to be back!
Very well located. Good value for the price.
This was my second stay at the Coach House and it was just as good! Perfect location and such a good price, room five is a spacious character filled room with a great little en suite. Check is in easy and the staff are very nice.
It is an creaky old building so if you're a light sleeper people walking around will wake you up... No veggie options/oat milk offered at breakfast.
The proprietess was lovely; the place was quirky and vey interesting; we had a takeout pizza in the garden (although this may have extended our welcome a little), andd breakfasr was included with our deal.
Nothing; there was ample on street parking and a couple of restaurants / cafes within walking distance. And we had a pet with us.
Komme bestimmt wieder.
Nice place to stay. Great and kind staffs.
Fantastic location, lovely welcoming and friendly staff, tasty breakfast
Helpful and efficient staff enabled me to park early directly outside hotel. Room just right for a single visitor with handy private bathroom.
The bathroom is not in the room.
Location
Shared toilet
It was a little old school and chaotic to get to my room! But it had charm and the staff member I dealt with was so kind and accommodating. Would absolutely stay again, just maybe not with any elderly relatives lol.
A bit jaded and rickety. But that’s just old buildings for you! Loved the charm.
Brilliant location. Excellent value for money.
Staff were lovely, accomodating and helpful. The building is quirky and charming. A great place for history lovers.
Nothing. Good for a short stay
The coffee in the room was nice, and the garden.
The noisy street was the only thing I didn’t like, but that was not any fault of the Coach House.
Lokalita I cena
Located right in the city center with cheap parking.
The bathroom had multiple spider webs, the carpet was old, dirty and smelled like dust. We had an safety exit sign in the room that had a light on the whole night. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable and they were very narrow (130cm) so not comfortable at all to sleep with 2 adults. The nightstands were not clean and had a lot of dust. The curtains weren't even blackout curtains.
Very easy to find. Beautifully laid out room. Funny WiFi password😂
It was wonderful
Location
Shower water was so hot on hotest day of the year, couldn't adjust temperature of water.
Good location, good shower.
Felt like an English-style bedsit.
The location , good location
The stairs are dangerous
The room was big and stylish with old vibes. The toilet was also big and clean. The location is perfect, since it's in the centre, in a walking distance from the major attractions of the city. The windows were on the side of the road and brought light. Entering the building was very easy. The stuff was friendly.
The stairs were not very convenient, since they are very narrow, and the footprints are small but the steps are tall, so it was difficult to go all the time up and down, especially when carrying luggage. But I've seen similar in other British guest houses, especially in pubs. The room was very warm, and I believe that it's time for British properties, especially in the south, to start installing air-conditioning systems.
Location was excellent, surprisingly quiet even being within the city center
Like other comments the place could do with some tlc
Locatie perfect
Net
Everything was good. Parking excellent for the centre of town. Accommodation very good. Communication good.
Had character, easy to find, easy access.
Great location, clean and comfortable
I never like how small towels are. The toilet roll ran out.
Close ro everything, private parking.
No air conditioning although there was a fan. Normally not a problem, but it was a very hot night.
The room was wonderful with lots of character. We are used to American hotel chains, and the different style of room from the regular hotel layout is a welcome change! The place was very close to the high street and anything else we wanted to visit in Canterbury, and there was a tesco nearby for us to do any grocery shopping we needed to do. It was also a short walk through a lovely park to get to the train station.
It might come as a surprise to others that the private bathroom was outside the room and down a few stairs, but it was close and very roomy.
Very close to the inner city
Very close to the inner city (english man are louds)
Very central. A large comfortable room. Sufficient tea and coffee .
Lovely cosy room in the centre of Canterbury, great staff, plenty of tea and coffee. Comfortable bed, Within easy walking distance of the Cathedral
a lot of stairs
Room was lovely furnished, the bed was comfy and location very central.
Unfortunately, the second night at 2AM we could hear a group teens loudly chatting on the street for around 30mn.
The room was spacious and equipped with all that we needed. Breakfast was not available on site, but this was known about during the booking process. The location of the accommodation is excellent, very central to Canterbury, which was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.
The decor of the accommodation is tired and worn in places, not a problem for us, and this was reflected in the price we paid. The place was clean, and everything worked as it should.
Easy to get to from the ring road. Was able to park right outside. Location great for the city. Bedding all clean and crisp.
A bit tired and dated inside. Due a renovation.
The location was excellent. The staff were welcoming, friendly and easy to communicate with. The bed was comfortable and it was a good place to stay.
The room was relatively small and we could have done with a small fridge. But that’s being a little picky!
Location, comfort, friendly staff, eye mask and ear plugs were a thoughtful gesture, thanks.
Nothing to dislike.
The staff were helpful and responsive, which contributed positively to our experience. The location is excellent - very centrally located.
Clean, convenient; staff most helpful in giving information for a late arrival
Located about 5min from the Cathedral. The staff is lovely and very helpful, I was able to leave my luggage before check in and after check out. The room was very spacious and there were chairs and a comfy sofa. There was a selection of tea/coffee along with the pot too. It's close to a small park, which is a nice and quiet place. Wifi was free and fast.
Drainage in the shower wasn't the best. The small about of sockets was a problem at times. The windows face the street and I was woken up by some drunks screaming at 2am.
Location,efficiency and convenience
Room was a little noisy but it was centrally located and I stayed there in the evenng of a Bank Holiday...so understandable for a busy vity like Canterbury
Fantastic location, within walking distance to everything. Friendly staff on arrival. The bed was so comfortable. Easy to find and parking available. Separate private bathroom which was clean and spacious. Use of towels and toiletries available is a nice touch.
I would say not suitable for guests with mobility problems as the stairs are slightly precarious. We stayed on a very hot day and only noticed a fan in the room the next morning as it was down the back of a chair, perhaps something to mention to guests in the summer.
Clean room, kettle + plenty of teabags and instant coffee provided. Very good location, just a short walk away from the Cathedral. It does not serve breakfast, but plenty of cafes nearby.
Old deco-ish. The layout of my room and bathroom is rather funny. I guess this used to be a living room with a separate bathroom. Room can be warm on hot summer days.
Very easy to find; excellent communication from the hosts; very central for Canterbury city centre.
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and it was in a good location to be able to get in and out of town, get to the train or get a taxi elsewhere within the city. The room itself is really nice visually, and a fine place to stop and work or to stay for an evening.
The interior of the building and it's walls are very thin. You could hear anyone walking around inside the building, and due to the vicinity and proximity of being near the high street, you could also hear people performing Karaoke half a block away, which makes it less easy to sleep. Would recommend taking earplugs. Also not the most accessible building if you have any struggles as you need to navigate quite tight and steep staircases to maneouver within the building. I also didn't see a member of staff the entire duration of my stay, nor did they have breakfast facilities.
Near main attractions in Canterbury
the staff were nice.
The stairs were a bit inconvenient, but the place is good if you are not looking to stay in the hotel for a long time (sightseeing more of a hotel experience).
Proximity to the centre of the city
Limited parking had to park in council car park for 1 night and they are expensive
Quiet. Comfortable
Bath towels only medium size
Location is brilliant overall place looks amazing
The bed was unusually hard and I couldn’t get the top window to close it wouldn’t stay so it was rather cold overnight too
Clean and comfortable.
Can hear lots of movement of other guests. It wasn't too disturbing though, but constant.
Beautiful room, lovely and comfortable and very clean a separate bathroom, but it was only used by us and a large bathroom with a big bath as well as a stand alone shower? Staff we met on arrival very kind and helpful
Stairs. But not too bad. Our room was two floors up
Location very near to town centre for tourist
WC in 1st floor even though it's massive one
Excellent location, nice room, comfortable bed, quiet and peaceful, nice tea, coffee, hot chocolate options available in the room. Nice to have a separate bathroom, not shared.
Not sure whether there was wifi available, no mention of it, this would be useful.
The bed The food
Charming old building, comfortable clean room, friendly staff, right in the centre of Canterbury.
All good
Location excellent Parking Dog friendly Lovely big room with ensuite shower Fan Tea/coffee facilties Lovely staff I was a bit worried about shared toilet but it was ok.
