Apartment on idyllic Bygdøy with free parking

It is located in beautiful neighborhood, one of the richest neighborhoods in Oslo. The location is perfect, close to the beach and 4 museums. It is cosy, the host was really friendly and welcomed us on arrival. It is a basement but despite that it is really cosy and warm. The kitchen well equipped, it has variety of salt, spices, coffee and other things. There are pots and a microwave. The sofa and the bed is comfortable as well.

Some things need exchanging for new ones because they look like they've been actually found in the basement (cutlery, scratched Teflon pan, kettle). This feels a bit odd, considering the neighbourhood it is located in. The duvet needs exchanging or cleaning because under the cover it has a lot of spots (the cover itself is clean) Also, bring your ear plugs because you can hear people walking above you (only for a brief period and otherwise it is really quiet) And the shower needs renovation. 😌 Despite that I enjoyed the stay and it was a cosy place.

Gute Busverbindung in das Zentrum. Nähe zu den Museen. Angenehme Umgebung für Spaziergänge.

Bed too close to the wall , basement location made the apartment dull. Trees to the entrance need cutting back to give clear entrance. Difficult to gain entry . The original arrangement gave a time slot which gave the impression that there would be someone in attendance on arrival. Late email giving final instructions went int spam folder

Die Terrasse ist toll, wir haben in der Morgensonne gefrühstückt, in der Abendsonne gegessen und durch einen kleinen Durchblick auf den Fjord die Boote und Fähren vorbeiziehen sehen. Die Nähe zu den Museen ist schön und nach Oslo sind wir mit der Museumsfähre kostenlos mit dem Oslopass gefahren (nicht am Abend). Abends haben wir Sonnenuntergangs-Spaziergänge zu den Stränden auf der Halbinsel gemacht. Das separate Zimmer für unseren erwachsenen Sohn war schön und geräumig. Es hat einen eigenen Eingang, nur leider musste er zur Toilette durch unser Zimmer.

Die Betten waren sehr weich. Das Zimmer ist im Souterrain, was bei schlechtem Wetter vielleicht etwas bedrückend ist. Bei schlechtem Wetter wäre auch der Esstisch innen zu klein.

Alquilamos 4 adultos. Lo que recibes es un habitáculo para dos personas, semisótano sin luz (debajo de la casa que se utiliza en su foto principal como reclamo), con una cama y sofá . Mesa con 2 sillas. Sin armario para la ropa, sin espacio para abrir o dejar las maletas. Las otras dos personas duermen en un hueco anexo, quitado al garaje, sin espacio más que para la cama, por mesilla una nevera y sobretodo con la aventura de tener el baño saliendo al jardín y pasando al mini apartamento (me imagino que los meses de frío, en la noche, la aventura tiene otro color aún peor). No hay silla para ellos. El free parking es simplemente aparcar en los alrededores si encuentras sitio. En mi opinión, un engaño al viajero que jamás recomendaría.

Very dark - in a basement with little natural light.

It was on a beautiful, leafy street, not too far from the ferry and within walking distance of several museums. There were thoughtful touches and everything that you needed for self-catering.

It would be great to tell future customers that the parking is not at the front of the property, as the picture can easily lead them to believe it is. There was limited parking on the street and we had to wait until someone left to park. Loading and unloading many bags and walking up the street was not we expected. Although we were still grateful to have a park at all. There was some noise from people moving overhead.

Perfekt beliggenhet for vårt opphold

Mooie locatie in het stadsdeel Bygdoy van Oslo. Het apartement ligt in een souterrain. Het Farm museum en het Noors openluchtmuseum zijn echt prachtig. Een winkeltje en gezellig restaurantje op loopafstand. Wij hebben met de Hopon Hopoff de stad Oslo verkend.

Er zijn weinig vrije parkeerplekken. Wij hadden na 2 uurtjes het geluk dat een plek vrijkwam.

Bij de woning hoort een dakterras, dat uitzicht biedt op het water. Bij mooi weer kan je hier je tijd doorbrengen, en dat is belangrijk omdat de woning donker is omdat deze in een kelder is gelegen

De dekbedden waren niet schoon. Deze zouden gereinigd of vervangen moeten worden. Uit de beschrijving op de website blijkt dat het een klein, compact appartement is, maar niet duidelijk is dat de woning in een kelderverdieping is gelegen met weinig daglicht. Dat betekent dat je met slecht weer binnen moet zitten in een kleine donkere ruimte. Wij hadden geluk dat het mooi weer was en wij dus veel tijd op op het dakterras konden doorbrengen. De woning is behoorlijk gehorig: door de houten vloer hoor je de verhuurder op de verdieping erboven heen en weer lopen. Ook de opmerking 'free parking' dient enige nuance: bij zoiets vermoed je dat je bij de woning kan parkeren, maar dat bleek in de aangrenzende straat. Was op zich geen probleem, maar ook een punt dat beter beschreven kan worden.

Käynti alakerrassa sijaitsevaan huoneistoon hieman kankea tavaroiden kanssa, kun pysäköinti etäänpänä kadun varressa. Ikkunoiden koko ja näkymät rajalliset maan alaisen sijainnin vuoksi.

The location is fine due to the proximity of the ferry and the bus for exploring Oslo. The bed is o.k. and the same can be said about the bathroom facilities.

It is misleading because much of what is promised does not correspond to reality. It is not an apartment but a studio in a basement with a few small, high-placed windows that do not overlook a garden. Parking is not available at the house; it is free on the street, but you need to be lucky and be able to find a spot. The small kitchen is very basic, with insufficient crockery and cutlery. The old tumble dryer is essentially unusable as there is no external vent. Manuals for all appliances are also missing. The layout of the studio is impractical, with a bed against the wall, and the only storage space is a chest of drawers, one drawer of which is broken. The second bedroom in the photo does not belong to the studio but is a studio that is rented out separately.

Everything is neat, clean and cosy. And the neighbourhood is beautiful and safe for a solo traveller

Location OK I chose this spot because of its sunny terrace, which I ultimately didn't have access to.

The free parking lot was occupied by the owners. Although two cars could have fit in the lot in front of the house, we had to use the free city parking lot. The photos show a sunny terrace for relaxing. Unfortunately, only for the hosts. For us, there are chairs in the shade. There was only one teaspoon in the kitchen. There's dust under the table. Other than that, OK

Wi fi marche pas dans le autre chambre qui est dehors du appartement. Vous devez sortir dehors pour aller au chambre Le salle de bain box pas fermé bien.

Trivelig liten hybel, positivt med lite kjøkken så man kan lage litt mat. Stille og rolig område, gode bussforbindelser selv om det var et lite stykke å gå til busstoppet på ettermiddagene, gikk busser ganske ofte. Alt i alt et bra opphold.

Ikke eget soverom, og det var ikke gardiner for vinduer, så lyset kom inn veldig tidlig på morgenen. Varmekabler på bad var vanskelig å regulere, så badet var veldig kaldt. Litt sen innsjekking og alt for tidlig utsjekking, særlig med tanke på at man må rydde hybelen selv og ta av sengetøy. Litt langt å gå til busstopp, nærmeste busstopp gikk ikke bussene på ettermiddag/kveld.

IT IS A BASEMENT I have been a customer of Booking.com for many years and have generally had positive experiences with my bookings. However, this particular stay was extremely disappointing. The property is located in a basement and features a door connected to the first floor, which the renters do not have keys for. This raised significant safety concerns, as I did not feel secure during my stay, that's why after 5 minutes or so we left immediately. The property owner’s claim that guests should understand it is a basement based on the photos is unacceptable. I attempted to communicate calmly and reasonably with the owner, but it became clear that commercial interests take precedence over guest safety and satisfaction. Please note that the property is indeed located in a BASEMENT. Additionally, I recommend not contacting Booking.com by phone, as it is unlikely to result in any resolution and may incur unnecessary costs for the phone bill since you are required to call in UK. Unfortunately, I not only lost the amount paid for this booking but also incurred an additional 200 euros in phone charges due to the inconvenience caused by insufficient property descriptions, which the company refused to take responsibility for. This has been an extremely unsatisfactory experience.

Уютный тёплый комфортный номер. Очень понравилось, что есть посудомойка и все для готовки еды. Есть стиралка и сушка. Рядом бесплатный паркинг. В номере было очень чисто. С удовольствием вернёмся ещё.

My stay at Bygdøy was absolutely wonderful. The area is peaceful, beautiful, and perfectly located, with stunning nature and easy access to the city. The apartment was very clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, clean, despite cold temperatures the inside was warm due to floor heating. This helped wet clothes and jackets dried up quickly. Didn't get to meet hosts in person but they provided plenty of information trough messages and gave us a very nice impression.

The description is quite misleading and the "free parking spot" is just the nearby road. - the rooms are in the basement and it is quite dark down there. - it was not well cleaned upon our arrival - it is not a good place if you want to spend also time at the apartment because it is not very comfortable - you feel very observed as there are no curtains and people are walking around in the garden and you can hear every step from above. - the word idyllic does not slightly meet our expectations of the apartment, maybe they ment the island itself ;-) Look closely before you book Communication to the owners was not too good and they didn't understand our problems. We changed to a different location and didn't get any refund.

Locatie is super. Heerlijk ruim dakterras op de garage van eigenaars is echt geweldig. Wij hadden geluk met het prachtige weer en konden volop genieten van dit terras. Appartement zelf is laag gelegen, soort kelder dus super fijn om buiten te kunnen zitten op dakterras. Gelukkig ook plek aan straat kunnen vinden om te parkeren.

Bed in kamer niet erg praktisch, volgende keer extra slaapkamer bij boeken is beter. Wifi was slecht

Quartier calme, parking facile, situation parfaite pour les transports publics. Lit confortable. Dans l'ensemble propre, correct et bien équipé.

Publicité mensongère sur l'emplacement. On montre la photo d'une belle maison avec une belle façade et finalement le logement se trouve dans le sous-sol sur le côté de la maison. Situation décevante en arrivant. Aucune intimité totale, aucun voile, aucun store aux fenêtres. Même au niveau de la cave, il pourrait y avoir du passage et on ne peut pas se sentir dans l'intimité. Cette situation 100% négative laisse notre jugement passablement bon concernant cette location. Dure de la recommander.

The bedsheets and towels had a mouldy smell.

Nous avons aimé la localisation du logement. La proximité avec les transports en commun et les magasins. Le prix est attractif pour le quartier mais pas pour le logement. Mention spéciale pour le chat qui est adorable.

Nous y sommes restés 5 nuits. Avec un enfant en bas âge. Je déconseille de louer cet endroit même sur une courte période. Il manquait des éléments basiques, tel qu’une passoire, des éponges pour nettoyer les sanitaires ainsi que la vaisselle (les couverts n’y étaient pas non plus, une seule cuillère à café …)Le taux d’humidité dans la salle de bain était absolument anormal, le sous-sol ne disposait pas de fenêtre mais de soupirail qui ne s’ouvraient pas entièrement. Je vous laisse imaginer l’odeur dans l’appartement après avoir cuisiner. De plus elles sont recouvertes d’une moustiquaire et pas de vrais rideaux donc nous étions réveillés par le jour tous les matins. Il y a un lave linge et un sèche linge, mais pas de lessive, donc nous avons dû en acheter. Le lave-linge est mal raccordé et a fuit sur le sol pendant le cycle. Le sèche linge était poussiéreux. Le propriétaire demande de défaire les lits avant de partir, ce qui nous a offert le bonheur de constater l'état discutable de la couette et des oreillers. Le jour de notre départ, le propriétaire des lieux et sa compagne étaient présents et ils n’ont pas déniés venir à notre rencontre. J’ai pourtant bien vu madame nous regardé par la fenêtre. La façade présentée en photo est celle de la maison du propriétaire. L'appartement à louer, lui est en sous-sol, avec tous les avantages que cela représente : luminosité anémique, renouvellement d'air timide, humidité tropicale, sélection d'arachnides variée. Cet endroit est à fuir.

Bei dem guten Wetter konnten wir die vordere Dachterrasse super nutzen, da sonst keine Gäste im Haus waren. Mit den E-Bikes ist man in 20 min im Zentrum von Oslo (Radweg).

Hier fällt uns wenig ein: Es fehlen Nachtischlampen am Bett. Bei schlechtem Wetter ist/wäre die Kellerwohnung auf Dauer etwas zu dunkel, aber es stimmt mit der Beschreibung überein. Die Büsche am Eingangsbereich sollten geschnitten werden, es ist sehr eng!

Prachtig dakterras, luxe ingericht met vaatwasser, goede keuken en wasmachine en droger. Attente hosts die snel reageren. Lokatie is erg fijn. Met ferrybootje ben je in 10 minuten in centrum. Strand op een kilometer afstand.

Het appartement ligt in het souterrain. Het is daardoor best donker. De inrichting is goed, maar sommige dingen ontbreken dan weer: bijv alleen in de keuken een piepklein prullenbakje, geen farsoenlijke plek om handdoeken op te hangen. Het verzoek om zelf de bedden af te halen is ook wat weird.

The host is absolutely lovely and provided extra heater and toiletries. The location is quiet and scenic. Good space with everything you need for a nice stay.

The bedding and towels smelled unfortunately. The kind of smell when things are not washed on high enough temperature. Hopefully a boil wash can sort it out

Easy to sort out, key box was well located and flat was very accessible

A very simple 'welcome kit' tea, coffee, milk etc might have been nice. It is also a downstairs flat, so not a great deal of light later in the day and certainly no real view. Don't get me wrong, this was/is a great little flat, but I was looking to work remotely and would have liked a window to gaze out of!!

Great place! In quiet neighborhood, only 10 min bus ride from city center and near park great for a morning walk. The apartment was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The owners were helpful and polite.

Agneta & Kim were fantastic hosts, very friendly and gave us excellent advice regarding public transport & things to do in Oslo. The apartment is well located, easy to reach the city centre by bus within 15 minutes and a short walk to the nearest museums and beaches.

I really like my stay , was in a quiet zone and very connected with the bus .

The WiFi connection was bit low.
