Exceptional service! Very kind host, who cooks very full and delicious breakfast and gives helpful tips. The facilities are clean, the location is great, the view is breathtaking, and there are scooter rental services+ nice restaurants around. The villa is surrounded by tea bushes that add to the atmosphere! Totally recommended!

The only detail to be improved is the shower. As there is no curtain, water spills all over the bathroom. However, this is not a problem as the water drains quickly and the host offers a broom.

This is the perfect spot for people who want to experience a peaceful, more local side to Ella. Firstly, the host is just outstanding. He is so friendly and there to help with anything you need. He creates a really warm environment in the villa. The room is just beautiful and it's right beside a mini tea plantation and a forest so the views from the room are just perfect. I hiked to Ella rock from the villa for sunrise and spent another day walking along the railway track to ella and took some detours off the tracks to look at waterfalls, monkeys, tea plantations and stopped to have some tea along the way. It was truly lovely. Highly recommend this place!!

We stayed 2 nights at Lily Ella Villa. It was the perfect base for our time in the area. It's in a peaceful location above Ella town, which takes about 10 minutes to reach by taxi. There is a nice walking route from the hotel into the forest. The owner, Janaka, was welcoming and helpful. He gave us tips and suggestions. The room was equipped with blanket and hot water. We enjoyed traditional Sri Lankan food for breakfast, but he is flexible to cater for your preferences. Excellent value for money, thank you for your hospitality.

Friendly owner and calm environment

Had a great stay at Lily Villa. Pleasant rooms, green garden, cosy restaurant and even has hot water. The property is located in a beautiful forest area, close to the entrance to Ella Rock (the owner knows). Very friendly owner, eager to help and cooks very tasty meals, both local or more international. There’s a small store for snacks and drinks nearby. Possible to do/hang the laundry on site (by hand), or bring it to a nearby laundry shop. Would highly recommend in any way! For directions: From Ella, it’s easy to reach by bus 325 to Bandarawela (Rs. 50 one way, get off at Rajakotuwe/when you see the Villa on the side of the road.
