The property is absolutely a master piece. It is built so nicely and its very clean. The apartments built are very beautiful in a forest. You can feel yourself living in the forest. The breakfast is also very good. The pool is also an enjoyable spot. Plus their staff is very welcoming and cooperative.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was luxurious, comfortable and very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We also really enjoyed the additional activities offered at the property, particularly the archery and air rifle shooting, which were a fun addition to the stay and made the experience feel more than just a place to sleep.

Sigiriya town, around a 20-minute tuk-tuk ride, which was a little further out than we expected. Due to the location, there were also monkeys and other animals around, and occasionally they would run across the roof at night and wake us up, so it’s something to be aware of if you’re not comfortable around animals. The food was also fairly average, which was a little disappointing given the price of the stay, although my partner did enjoy the variety of options available at breakfast

I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the location in the middle of the forest made it feel peaceful and special. Despite the secluded setting, it’s also conveniently located for the main attractions, with most places only around a 15-minute drive away. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning. There were also plenty of recreational activities to enjoy such as Table Tennis, Pool Table, Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi. The breakfast was a real highlight, especially the freshly baked warm bread and the excellent selection of Sri Lankan food. I particularly enjoyed the forest walk around the property, with a great variety of plants and a little jungle to explore. I even got to try different fruits straight from the trees! The cute little tree house was another lovely touch. Overall, a charming place to stay if you want to experience the natural beauty of Sigiriya while still being close to the attractions and having comfortable accommodation.

Our stay at the Forest Edge Hotel was absolutely spectacular. Nestled right where the lush jungle begins, the tranquility and stunning natural views are unmatched. The service was highly professional and deeply attentive throughout our visit. Waking up to the sounds of nature and relaxing by their beautiful pool made it an unforgettable getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in comfort!

Everything from rooms to breakfast was exceptional. They even had archery and rifle shooting as well as cycling free of charge. Pool and spa/ jacuzzi facilities are very good. All staff are very helpful. Tharindu checked us in and was lovely. Oshan checked us out and wished us well for the journey. They really know how to take good care of guests!

Las instalaciones son geniales. Las habitaciones amplias, luminosas con privacidad y las limpian y reponen 2 veces al día. Pero lo mejor de todo es el equipo. Todos te reciben con una sonrisa a cualquier hora. Para nosotros lo que ha hecho que la estancia sea especial ha sido Indu. Ha sido nuestro chófer, guia local y amigo todos los días que hemos estado en el hotel. Incluso nos llevó a darnos un baño a un lago poco conocido con vista ininterrumpida de Pirundagala y Sigiriya. Teníamos el lago entero para nosotros. Y también nos ha invitado a probar comida a puestos locales donde no van extranjeros, así como nos enseñó el mercado de abastos de Dambulla y alrededores. Nos ha dado mucha pena dejar Siguiriya gracias a su atención y la de todo el hotel.

Fantastische accommodatie! We hebben 4 nachten genoten van het eten, zwembad, de jacuzzi en de kamer. Ze willen je altijd helpen met te plannen trips en hebben een eigen (fantastische) taxichauffeur.

Het ligt iets verder van de hoofdweg af, maar dat is geen enkel probleem tenzij je graag lopend naar Sigiriya zou willen.

Hemos disfrutado muchísimo de nuestra estancia en Sigiriya Forest. Todo ha sido excelente, desde las instalaciones hasta la comida, la ubicación y, especialmente, la atención del personal. Las habitaciones son cómodas, el entorno es precioso y permite disfrutar de la naturaleza en un ambiente tranquilo y relajante. La comida nos sorprendió muy gratamente por su calidad y variedad, y todo el equipo del hotel fue amable, atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar, haciéndonos sentir como en casa durante toda la estancia. We liked at lot the style and comfort of the lodges which were located in the jungle with birds, monkeys and stripped squirrels. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming! The hotel has all you need. At breakfast you can choose between different menus, fresh juice and pastries.

Sehr gerne. Daraus würde ich eine sehr positive, aber trotzdem glaubwürdige Booking-/Google-Bewertung machen – gerade die Lage mitten in der Natur und die Tierbeobachtungen würde ich hervorheben. Unser Aufenthalt im Sigiriya Forest Edge war eines der absoluten Highlights unserer Reise durch Sri Lanka. Das Hotel liegt wunderschön mitten in nahezu unberührter Natur. Die nur zehn kleinen, jeweils einzeln stehenden Unterkünfte sind über Stege erreichbar und haben teilweise riesige Panoramafenster – man fühlt sich wirklich, als würde man mitten im Wald wohnen. Ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis war für uns ein Hanuman-Langur, der uns jeden Morgen vor unserem Fenster besuchte und dort längere Zeit blieb, sodass wir ihn wunderbar beobachten konnten. Auch einen Nashornvogel haben wir auf dem Gelände gesehen, dazu kleine Streifenhörnchen und unzählige verschiedene Vögel. Wer Natur und Tiere liebt, wird diesen Ort lieben. Die gesamte Anlage ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und ausgesprochen sauber. Unser Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und die kostenlose Minibar immer wieder kostenlos aufgefüllt – ein wirklich schöner Service. Ganz besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Mitarbeiter. Wirklich jeder, von der Rezeption über den Zimmerservice bis hin zum Restaurant, war unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und zuvorkommend. Auch das Essen war hervorragend – ausnahmslos jedes Gericht, das wir während unseres Aufenthalts probiert haben, war sehr lecker. Die Lage ist außerdem perfekt, um Sigiriya Lion’s Rock und Pidurangala zu besuchen. Wir haben über das Hotel sowohl den Sunrise Hike auf den Pidurangala als auch einen abendlichen Ausflug zum Dambulla Cave Temple gebucht. Beide Ausflüge waren wundervoll und bestens organisiert. Unsere Fahrer waren ausgesprochen freundlich und nach den Ausflügen wurden wir am Fahrzeug sogar mit kalten, feuchten Tüchern und gekühltem Wasser erwartet – solche kleinen Details machen den Unterschied.

A breathtakingly peaceful retreat tucked away in lush, beautiful greenery. The quiet atmosphere made it easy to unwind, while the top notch service made us feel completely pampered. The breakfast was phenomenal with fresh fruit and juice, various global and local breakfast options. An exceptional stay in every way, and a place we will definitely be coming back to.

We had such an amazing stay at this resort - it was the very best part of our 10-day trip to Sri Lanka. The main highlights were the friendliness of every single staff member (from the front desk to the gardeners - everyone we encountered was wonderfully attentive, helpful and professional), the delicious multi-course breakfasts and diverse dinner options, and the spotlessly clean, comfortable and thoughtfully designed property.

I loved everything about our stay - I am a picky person and can usually find something to complain about, but not at this resort. It was perfect!

Uiterst vriendelijk personeel en de huisjes zijn prachtig gelegen in de jungle, 3 meter boven de grond. Het is er rustig, met slechts 10 huisjes en toch veel personeel die je bij alles helpt. Zowel bij receptie als de keuken bekwaam, professioneel en behulpzaam, allen in strakke bedrijfskleding. Het is duidelijk een missie om de gasten te vertroetelen. Ook taxi service was perfect, mooie luxe Van. Die heeft ons ook naar volgende locatie gebracht. Veel dieren om en rond het terrein, mooie tuin.

Een heel rustig hotel met een HEERLIJK ontbijt!! Super vriendelijk personeel. Fijn om eens te kunnen poolen, boogschieten,...

Het diner viel wat tegen. We hadden hoge verwachtingen maar neen... Niet echt lekker en kleine porties. Het was er ook allesbehalve gezellig. We misten de Sri Lankese vibe die we al heel onze reis konden ervaren.

The place is beautiful, and offers a lot for such a small pint of bungalows. The rooms are big and the beds very comfy. The pool area is relaxing and we used the gym a couple of times which was well equipped. It was lovely to sit in the jacuzzi at night and listen to all the wildlife around you. The food was the highlight..it was absolutely beautiful and so nice being served your breakfast rather than a buffet. The best food that we have had in Sri Lanka and amazing staff.

Staff was extremely attentive to our needs, and was very responsive and helpful with our requests. Amenities were modern and top notch. The resort had various facilities to keep the family entertained: pool, table tennis room, billiards, gym, jacuzzi, and the restaurant was air conditioned which was rare in Sri Lanka, and had a diverse local/international menu that was tasty for all the items we had in our 3 visits there.

The laundry tax was steep and not clearly disclosed until the final invoice; a clearer upfront cost would help.

Fantastische locatie middenin de jungle. De ruime kamer is voorzien van alle benodigdheden, evenals een mooie grote tv en zetel. Daarnaast is ook een gratis mini-bar voorzien die regelmatig aangevuld wordt. Ook mochten we in het restaurant genieten van uitgebreide maaltijden met een zéér ruime menukaart. Ook het personeel van het restaurant is fantastisch. Vooral Sajeewa gaf ons een fijne bediening!

De prijzen van de shuttle naar de Lion Rock is aan de hoge kant. Het aanbieden van een shuttle naar Pidurangala Rock zou ook een leuke toevoeging zijn.

Csodálatos lokáció, a dzsungelben van, a házak magasított beton cölöpökön állnak, csodaszép zöld környezet, a személyzet nagyon segítőkész, az ételek szuperek, tényleg magas minőségűek, Srí Lankai elváráshoz képest, tényleg 5 csillagot érdemel a szálloda. Érződik,hogy dolgoznak a színvonalon.

Annyi hátrány volt egydül,hogy éjszaka többször felébredtünk, mert a fák ágai odaverődtek a ház tetejére, és ezért zajos volt, ajánlom,hogy jobban kellene nyírni a fákat a ház teteje körül és akkor ez elkerülhető lenne. De más negatívot mondani nem tudok.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Quiet environment. The staff gifted us a free set of tea which is nice. The atmosphere and setting is overall beautiful. We enjoyed our stay.

Too much food for breakfast. This is a bit wasteful because nobody eats that much. Quality of pastries is bad. No female staff either. I’d like to see more diversity. Steam room needs time to turn on and wasn’t super clean. The steam room should have hangers outside to leave towels.

You can really enjoy the peace and quiet, the staffs are very helpful and friendly, there are some activities can join, very easy to arrange.

Everything about this place is simply amazing! The best hotel experience me and my family have had in Sri Lanka.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte dort und es war traumhaft. Wir haben ein Zimmer mit einer riesigen Glasfront bekommen, die uns direkt ins Grüne schauen hat lassen. Die Lage ist Paradiesisch dort. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, da es ein wenig abgelegen war. Das Personal war sehr Nett und ist jedem Wunsch nachgekommen. Vielen lieben dank.

Wonderful Nature Stay.. We stayed at Sigiriya Forest by Marino from 3rd to 4th June with our family and had a very peaceful and relaxing experience surrounded by nature. The atmosphere was calm and refreshing, perfect for a short getaway. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Special thanks to Isuru, who was very attentive during activities like archery, air-rifle shooting, and the garden visit, making the experience even more enjoyable with great hospitality. The food was also excellent, with good quality, freshly prepared meals that we really enjoyed. Overall, a highly recommended place for a peaceful nature retreat in Sigiriya.

Stunning location...the elevated rooms are literally a part of the forest! The food was great - sumptuous breakfast and a very good choice of options in the set menu for dinner too! Very attentive and responsive staff. Other activities like the archery and rifle shooting were fun, and the outdoor jacuzzi was a great addition. Outstanding spa and the therapist was excellent!

It was our first stay in Sri Lanka and we have to stay we were impressed. The quality in the details were impressive. Facilities felt new and comfortable. We liked to have breakfast at the villa’s terrace and night swim in warm outdoor jacuzzi. The food was also great! Very special place

The only thing that I would improve is to opt for refillable water bottles rather than plastic water bottles.

This was such a great stay. Rooms were big, quiet, peaceful, clean and comfortable. Staff were lovely. Pool and spas + games rooms were great. Food was amazing!! Great wifi throughout the property. It is a bit out of the way but easy to get drivers to go to Sigiriya rock, Pidurangala rock, Dambulla temples etc. and the hotel has transfers for these too. They are currently building a huge extension of their hotel which I’m sure will be amazing once it’s finished!!

We probably would have bought more drinks and things by the pool if it was easier to order them or if the staff perhaps came around to take orders, rather than having to get out, get dry, and get the lift upstairs to the bar to order more. But not a huge issue!!
