The location was strategic. Just approx 15 minutes walking distance to Stadthuys & Jonker Walk, and the Prison Museum. It was a pretty good deal given the price.

The entire building was a little stuffy and warm. The chairs and tables in the common area were dusty and not really well maintained.

Good value but the shower room and hallways need air con and the shower door kept breaking and locking me inside

Je suis restée bloquée dans la douche et personne n’est venue à mon aide…. Je faisais mes premiers pas en Malaisie et cherchais un bus pour me rendre à la station de bus principale… l’hôtel n’était pas joignable. Les locaux m’ont conseillé de télécharger l’application grap. Le réseau étant mauvais, je suis retournée à l’hôtel pour la connection Internet. Le salarié s’est excusé de ne pas avoir pu répondre. Mais j’étais déjà arrivé à l’hôtel et j’avais installé l’application. Pour s’excuser, il a proposé de m’y amener. J’ai donc annulé le grab qui allait venir dans 6 mn. Au bout de 30mn, le salarié n’était toujours pas là. Je lui envoie un message pour lui demander: Are you ok? Il me répond Yes! Why? 😳 Il est arrivé au bout de 40 mn. J’ai gardé ma nervosité pour moi car il allait m’emmener à la station gratuitement mais en fait pas du tout, il m’a demandé plus cher que le grap! Il m’a vraiment prise pour une cruche…

I really liked the location—it was super close to Jonker Street and all the major attractions in Malacca.

There wasn’t much to complain about, but the atmosphere was a bit quiet.

The cleanliness is out of my expectation, and people are friendly here. It's really a good deal to enjoy this kind of cleanliness and comfy at this price.

A bit far from Jonker Street. No separate toilet for men and women. Bathroom running out of shampoo and body wash.

Strategic location

The staff were super cute and nice. The capsule bed and the bathroom was also nice and very clean. The whole experience was very good.

The curtain in the bed did not cover everything so there wasn’t as much privacy and the location could be better.

Had a great stay at the guest house, the room was clean and comfortable. showers warm and large kitchen area. The staff was helpful and quick to help us get around town and extend our stay. perfect

No shampoo or body wash, no hot water, roommate expect to be no sound, pax need to explained that it’s a shared facility, so can’t expect total silent, if need book a solo room instead

All things were good, great location, very clean and organized.

The guest house was a pleasant surprise for me. I planned to stay only 4 nights and I stayed 12 (I'm slow traveler). Great location, close to the city's main tourist attractions, great restaurants nearby. Super clean and Jo gives you all the tips on what to do in the city, very organized. I will definitely come back and recommend it to all my friends. The beds are box-style, like capsules, I love it because you have more privacy in shared rooms. One thing that is very important to me is that there is hot water in the showers.

My only complaint is that the bike was not available and the microwave was not working.

Lovely family run guesthouse in a good location near the centre. They offer a pickup from the airport. Clean and comfy and safe. Huge kitchen with excellent facilities and fridge.

Noise in ceiling above bed...sounded like a litter of kittens meowing in ceiling space.

Nobody was there. The soap was watery. No toilet paper from time to time.

Amazing hostel with everything you need! The owner Joe is really nice and helpful.☺️ The location is great and you can also rent a bicycle around.

The staff was great and the dorms are very cozy. The location is also very good. From there you can do everything by foot.

I enjoyed this spacious and quiet accommodation. The staff is welcoming and make you comfortable. Even the place is next to the road, it's near of everything and you can visit the city easily. It was a curtain for each bed, so you can have your intimacy.

One of the washbasins was broken. So, only one for everybody. It's pretty inconvenient.

Very big private room and there were plenty of toilets and showers. The staff were very welcoming. It was a comfortable bed with good aircon. It was a little walk to the centre of Malacca and we found a good route through the shopping centre to stay cool the whole way!

Very friendly family, hot drinks available. Kitchen to use. Such a beautiful old property in the middle of Melacca. Its nice to have the opportunity to visit.

It's clean and cozy. I stayed in the room with 6 beds. There are 2 charging ports and a foldable table inside my pod so it's convenient to use the laptop in it. Aircon is strong to beat the heat in Malaysia

The hosts are very nice, helping with everything, even after leaving. I got many recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. I chose to take the pick up to the bus station and the host even brought me inside to the right place. It's a clean place with kitchen and free coffee and tea all day. I had the best hostel experience in Malaysia there!

2min walk to Dataran Pahlawan Mall. Theres affordable Indian food nearby. Drawer under the bed for storage.

Such a comfortable place, the showers are so big I appreciate it!! Very kind people running the hostel. I messaged the owner when I couldn’t catch the bus and he always responded and made sure I was alright.

Zero atmosphere. You don't see anyone, there's no place to hang out or socialize. Location is a bit far from the center, although that might be seen as a positive if you want to get away from the uber touristy areas. The person who owns or manages the place is rarely around, and little information or instruction is provided, but responses on WhatsApp were quick.

Very clean hostel. I like the dorm with the capsules with curtains. There is also a common area and a kitchen. Walkable to the city centre. Right around the corner there is a cheap and good Indian restaurant.

It was very quiet, not social. But that can be a good thing also, it depends on what you are looking for.

It is important to know, that the pump for the shower has to be switched on to keep the pressure up.

I was utterly unimpressed with the unexpected tax that the manager called Dinesh made me pay in cash. The guy never smiled during my stay. He and his brother Jo were fixated on the female guests. The room was incredibly hot. Furthermore, Dinesh was weird and would simply stare at me - creepy.

The owner is super nice, he sent me a list of things to do, to eat in Melaka. The location is super near Dutch Square, only 5mins walk. The restroom is good enough, they even have washing powder to wash my clothes. The bed in female dorm is cute, clean and private, AC worked so well. The whole house has good atmostphere

The floor is made of wooden so its so loud when anyone step around the room, and there are only 2 toilets, 2 bathrooms

Convenient location and the WiFi worked well. Tea and coffee were available in the kitchen.

Our room was below the landing/hallway upstairs. The floorboards were very creaky so it was very noisy whenever anybody went up/down stairs - it was very disruptive when we were trying to sleep.
