Good staff
Convenient location. Simple amenities which suited our purpose.
We missed the turn off. Maybe a bigger sign would help especially with the different name.
Clean, so clean! Bed comfy, great service. Great price
Friendly staff clean room
No heater in room
Location was great and room was very clean
Once out of bed it was very cold we were only supplied a 3 column oil heater which didn't do much they need to invest in heat pumps And the toilet wasn't fixed to the ground
The staff are absolutely lovely.
Sadly it does look like it’s being used for emergency housing.
Allways a nice stay and very clean
love the bed. Owner is very friendly
Location good Friendly staff Room a bit small

Had everything there
For an older motel it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
Hot water took a while to come through in the shower
Stayed in the cabin on wheels. So hot, some weird heating/cooling tube going out the window. Nope, not for me
Helpful staff, good location right on the rail trail.
Location
Road access into motel and exiting the property
Really loved the pet friendly aspect of the hotel. Location is great. Just a walk away from everything
Our cabin was warm, clean and comfortable - plenty of space, and well kitted out with kitchen, crockery and a good shower. It was very close tot the town, the Hauraki bike trail and intercity bus stop and the owner made us feel very welcome.
Nothing, all good
Awesome customer service
Shower had to turn on to right temperature
Prefect location
The shower was hard to use
Very welcoming and beds were really comfortable.
Only complaint would be that the pillows were lumpy and needed replacing
The mini house was perfect and tidy!
Unfortunately the bathroom was not clean! The shower hadn’t been cleaned the hand basin was dirty mirror was dirty, there was long black hair on the toilet seat! Other from that was a very comfortable stay!
Great location
Kitchen will help
Great value for money, everything you needed and close to town.
Costy ,had a comfortable bed and was clean.Sort of quaint, but had absolutely everything we needed.
Nothing was a problem.
It was available
Room was very basic and facilities were average. In the bad weather, water came through under the door.
Well situated and had everything I needed
Signage could be clearer that it’s called the Paeroa Rail Trail Motel
Old motel but facilities were good
When I booked the website said that pets stayed for free. When I checked in they said there was a $10 charge for pets. After discussing the meaning of "free" with lady at reception who's english was not good she then charged me $11 on top of what was quoted on the website.
Perfect location not to far from ammenities and was very clean and tidy
location, price, size of rooms, cleanliness
fridge not great, rooms very hot, no hot plate to cook
I don't think they serve breakfast. All the times I've stayed in the past including this last time ive cooked my own breakfast.
I have never got the television to work. This last time I asked the motel owner if she help. She tried to get it working but no it never did anytime I have stayed there.
Location Price Room
Beds were not very comfortable
Loves this cute little motel! Great value for the price.
Great location and for the period it was built the venue reflected it, so we understood that it would be a dated accomodation, there is a lovely park next door for the kids and excellent access to town and a great cafe close by. TV had great access for channels.
During our stay, there were people living permanently at the venue. Two occupants in particular were very inquisitive, frequently asking questions, leaving their doors open at all times, and closely observing my team’s comings and goings. They appeared extremely comfortable interacting with our family and team while remaining in their beds, which created an uncomfortable environment for a professional and personal work stay also. That evening, a domestic incident occurred, followed by sustained noise throughout the night until approximately 4.00am. This disturbance was experienced by multiple members of my team. When these issues were raised with the venue owners, the situation was poorly managed. No practical solution or alternative accommodation was offered. The only response was to suggest speaking with the parents of the people staying at the venue, indicating that this behaviour is ongoing rather than an isolated incident. As a result, we did not have quiet enjoyment of the accommodation, which significantly impacted our ability to work effectively. In addition, there were cleanliness and maintenance issues, including ants in the venue, a used toothbrush and toothpaste left in the room by previous occupants, and outdated power outlets that were not suitable for charging work equipment. Given these factors, the accommodation was not appropriate for professional or work-related use

Clean and tidy
Expensive for the quality of facilities
Great location very clean unit and great shower.
No bed side table or lamps, more space needed in the room probably better for just one person. A tad pricey. We would have preferred one of the other units for the price we paid as they are more spacious.
The location to the playground and start of the cycle trail was great. The room was stocked with all the essentials. Staff was easy to phone and text messages.
The fan for the room did not work. A heat pump would make the room more comfortable, I cannot see how comfortable it might be in the winter.
Comfortable beds, reasonably clean, warm also had a fan to keep cool. Toilet and shower ok, overall not bad for cheap accommodation. Staff friendly and accommodating, easy checkout 👌 👍
Very tidy
Hard to find the property
Lovely rooms, great staff and very close to everything
Close to town. Basic but comfortable. Good price. Separate storage for bikes. Great for us doing the rail trail.
On a busy ish road but not a lot of noise.
I was desperate after finding out I had driven 3 hours in the wrong direction. And this was the only available room on booking dot com.
This place should never call itself motel/ hotel I read the reviews, but it was not clean. It had no accommodation for my medical device to be plugged in.So the host brought an extension cord. The host asked if I wanted heat and then proceeded to plug it in with the extension cord. So the situation was very unsafe on close inspection Realized that I was cold because the bathroom window high up had been left open. I read the reviews and people said maybe it was rustic and my opinion it was slapdash and definitely not worth the cost. I haven't seen the charge on my credit card, but she had me at a NZ$144, which I think is only slightly less than the wonderful room I had in Hamilton, through bookings.com.I definitely will follow up with more complaints.
Thank you for letting me use your van when my car was not working properly.
Comfortable and spacious room with a kitchenette, fridge, kettle and complimentary tea and coffee. The host was very kind and the location ideal for us, as we were coming from the Coromandel Peninsula and needed to reach Hobbiton the next day.
Value for Money Clean and Tidy room
Nothing I suggest the motel brand it in a better way,the motel is actually clean,.tidy cozy especially the orangr chairs in the yard look very pretty in sunny day ,adding a beatiful color.for.the yard, but the cover pictures on booking.com doesn't reflect that,.the.photos seems.took in a cloudy day does not reflect the beauty and cozy side of the.motel
Close to good bike trails. Showers are hot, it's easy walk to shops n supermarket. Seriously very affordable. Very friendly owners. I've stayed there several times. If you want to cook a meal the owners will provide an electric fry pan.
It could spanking new with all the bells and whistles but then it wouldn't have the simple facilities and amenities that I like in the humble motel.
Very comfortable beds. Clean neat. Convenient
Nothing to like, as very average.
This property is emergency housing , but we were not informed when booking, We only found out at reception after asking 4 times that it was in fact emergency housing. Office locked when we arrived with the owner sitting in a chair looking at me. A child was on the office computer, and I had to wait for the child to finish before she could check the booking details. As emergency housing issue was brought to our attention to late in the day, We had no other option nor time to book else where. We had to remove all items of value out of our vehicle and into the unit. This ended up been a waste of time because when we wanted to go somewhere we couldn't, due to the windows, as they were seized open. It says its a 8.0 rating , but we you see this 8.0 rating sticker on the window it was back in 2015 so it not updated .
Very clean and convenient motel. Staff friendly great location for walks
My family and I had a delightful two-night stay. The room was clean, well-appointed, and provided a high level of comfort, particularly the bed. The proprietors were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, contributing to a warm and pleasant atmosphere throughout our visit. Additionally, the property's convenient proximity to the town center and the neighboring café-restaurant, Jokers, made dining and exploring the area both easy and enjoyable.
Motel was in a handy location, easy to access from the Hauraki Rail Trail and a short stroll into town. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a shed to lock up the bikes.
The property is a little run down/showing it's age, and the bed was rock solid - which is really just a personal preference rather than a negative.
