No microwave The tiny bar fridge was problematic The pump toilet / waste water machine was noisy . No aircon Only one fly screen -another would be great How breakfast was bought down and presented around 7 pm . We were already in our PJ s Jam was yummy but we would have preferred some kind of fresh fruit salad etc . They provided figs but what if you don’t like figs ?

Reviewed Jun 9, 2025Mike & Trish are very welcoming. Breekie was provided. Clean, friendly and affordable. We arrived at home after work to a beautiful fire burning fireplace. What a cosy lovely feeling. We were treated with respect and felt special.
Reality kicked in as we had to return home.

Breakfast was adequate but somewhat disappointing. 300ml of milk for two for cereal and coffee was a bit tight. For the price I was expecting a cooked breakfast.

Tricia and Mike are wonderful hosts who were very warm, accomodating and hospitable while also allowing us our privacy. Great communicators so we understood how things were done easily which helped them to help us enjoy our stay.
The booking.com platform gave us the wrong price as thère were only 2 guests not 3 staying.

The small amount of ground coffee Why not leave a tub so you can choose the amount? Fridge was difficult to store all the breakfast for the morning. Need a bigger fridge or more shelves!

The bed is extremely hard and the windows had no screens so we had to keep spraying for mosquitos. The room faces southwest and got hot during the evening. The house is tired needs some attention.

We found a fan in the corner that helped a bit with the temperature. A/C would have been an added bonus but we had a great sleep anyway!

Reviewed Oct 20, 2022We were a group of 3 with 2 bedrooms and so were allotted a “wing” upstairs with our own bathroom to share. There was a nice view from the single room which also had a small sitting area with 2 chairs and a TV set, which gave us somewhere to sit together. ( we borrowed a dining chair). The owners provided organic homemade continental breakfast which was delicious, and were sociable and happy to chat and help.
The property was a little dated in furnishings but all very serviceable and it’s nice that the owners are very conscious about waste and replacing things for fashion may be part of this which is admirable.
