Sigiri Lodge and Tree House

The tree house was gorgeous with really comfy bed and excellent vibes. Most of all kalana was brilliant, so attentive to everything we need he was a really great help taking us to see the sights and the activities in sigiriya. And the breakfast included was very tasty. Great location too! Huge thank you!!

The best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka so far. Kalana and his family were the most welcoming hosts and provided delicious breakfast every morning, safaris, tuk tuk rides all over and also had a car for longer journeys. The property was gorgeous, surrounded in nature. There was monkeys, squirrels, birds and even elephants (we didn’t see but saw photos of them on the property!!!). We had accidentally booked the guest room but Kalana kindly upgraded us to the Treehouse at no extra cost. Make sure to take Kalana’s recommendations for restaurants/ activities etc. Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality!!!!!

Wir haben mit unserer Familie im Baumhaus übernachtet. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gemütlich, sauber und sehr gut gepflegt. Vom Balkon aus kann man Stundenlang in die Bäume gucken und lokale Tiere entdecken. Die Gastgeber sind total sympathisch und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir wurden bei allem auf sehr nette Art unterstützt und bekamen viele gute Tipps. Die Gastgeber haben ein Auto und ein TukTuk mit denen sie die Gäste sehr preiswert und zuverlässig zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten oder nach Sigiriya fahren, wenn man möchte. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas zurück von der Straße und ist schön ruhig gelegen. Um die Ecke gibt es einen kleinen Laden und die Straße entlang sind diverse Lebensmittel-Stände. Für uns war alles perfekt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Kalana and his family were beautiful hosts. The accomodation was quiet, clean and comfortable with lots of local wildlife (native squirrels, monkeys and birds). They have their own tuk tuk and we’re happy to drive us into town and to activities. Poson Poya festival was on during our stay and Kalana took us into the celebration and we tried some of the amazing food. If you’re looking for a relaxed and warm stay, I recommend sigiri lodge treehouse for your stay in Sigiriya. Thanks you Kalana and family :)

The area and gardens are STUNNING!!! the host is beyond kind, so interesting to talk to! She was amazing and the tree house room and shower were really cool 😎

Die Lage ist wunderbar. Direkt vor dem Zimmer gibt es wunderschöne Pflanzen und man fühlt sich wie direkt im Dschungel. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, sehr zuvorkommend und man kann sich gut unterhalten. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich, wir konnten uns jeden Tag Bananen mitnehmen.

Das Zimmer hätte etwas sauberer sein können. Einen Kühlschrank gab es nicht. Aus der Toilette kamen regelmäßig kleine Frösche und gelegentlich gab es Kakerlaken. Das gehört wohl dazu, wenn man mitten im Dschungel wohnt.

The property is so unique and fun to experience. The room is really comfortable and clean. We loved the outdoor bathroom experience! The staff really made it for us, they went above and beyond to help us with arrangements and were incredibly kind. I would highly recommend staying here.

Really nice tree house! We would totally recommend this place! The hosts are very kind amd helpfull. We also booked and elephant safari by them, would really recomend!

There is no AC but for us the 2 fans in the room where enough

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Familie, hilft immer weiter und übernimmt Fahrdienste (Unterkunft ist etwas ausserhalb und abends Elefantengefahr;)) Zimmer ok (mit Moskitonetz) und ebenfalls gutes Frühstück.

Badezimmer nicht abschliessbar. Bei Buchung schauen ob Steuern hinzu kommen (hatten wir nicht auf dem Schirm).

Here you can truly feel the essence of the place: peaceful silence broken only by the sounds of nature, breathtaking views, and a warm, genuine welcome. It's important to remember that you are in the middle of nature, so encountering a few insects is perfectly normal and part of the charm of this magical place. A special thank you to Kalana: with his kindness and care, he recommended wonderful experiences on the lake and excellent local restaurants. On our way back, he even personally accompanied us, acting as both our guide and driver, sharing curiosities about the area. A place we wholeheartedly recommend to anyone wanting to experience the real Sri Lanka, far from tourist crowds and close to the heart of the country. Highly recommended!

Die Familie war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und es herrschte eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und sie haben uns beim Planen und Organisieren immer sehr geholfen.

The hospitality of the family and the unique experience to sleep in a lodge. There were 2 ventilators in the room, so it was perfect for the hot weather. The breakfast was great too!!

The family that ran the treehouse were the nicest people that we met throughout our trip. They were excellent hosts that made this feel more like a homestay. The meal that they offered for us on the first night was excellent and very homely. The young fella is a legend and I wish him all the best with his future studies.

Such kind family, they’ve tried to meet our needs on every end. And they did! Wooden house with a balcony to sit on feeling like you’re in the middle of the jungle! Nearby a great restaurant”Big Bite”.And more! Shower outside was an extra nice experience. Thank you for everything !
