It’s exactly what you pay for. Location is great, staff is great, other guests are great. There’s a lot of stairs but staff and other guests offered to help me with my luggage. Rooms are small but they lock with their own key. I felt safe and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but it was a nice complimentary option. Showers and toilets are cleaned often. Not the highest standard but again - it’s what you pay for. As a young woman travelling on her own, I definitely recommend this place!

My card got charged, even though we agreed on cash payment. I had to wait a few days for the refunded payment to reach my account.

The staff were extra helpful & very kind. The hotel & room was very clean. The location was nice & quiet only a few streets from the beach.

De locatie, en de prijs waren mijn aandachtspunten. De faciliteiten zijn "basic", maar ik kan daar mee om. Niet echt om aan te raden aan mensen die luxe gewoon zijn.

Douchecellen zijn wel heel nauw. Weinig ruimte om kleren op te hangen. Wel proper in de morgen!

The owner was incredibly welcoming and accommodating of my late check in time! He walked me through the amenities, my room, and even gave me a free t shirt. There was free breakfast every day, and I found the setting and the spiritual aspects to be quite comforting.

The room itself wasn’t large, and the bed is only a twin, but I got what I paid for and I think it’s well worth it. I admire the fact that instead of using a traditional hostel style bunk bed arrangement, we each got our own little room stall which felt very private.

Dobrá lokalita (15 min pěšky k Times Square nebo Empire State building, blízko k Hudson Yards), v přízemí je 7 Eleven s dlouhou otevírací dobou. Pokoje byly v 5. patře bez výtahu a hosté byli navzájem respektující. V pokoji byl malý větřáček. Jako solo cestovatelka jsem měla všechno co jsem potřebovala a za tu cenu na NYC poměry skvělé :)

Excellent location. Generous breakfast and snacks/drinks. Calm. Courtesy. Air. Provision of towels and soaps. Allowed space to rest and think. Peace. Considerate check-in/check-out arrangements.

Restrooms/showers clean and functional but a little restricted in space ... but what do I expect, it's a hostel in a characterful old building! :) I have known A LOT worse for more money.

El alojamiento estuvo bueno las habitaciones son como box pequeñas pero lo suficiente para pasar las noches la verdad es bastante cómodo, el desayuno súper rico y saludable y lo mejor los chicos de recepción todos muy amables y súper serviciales aparte que me guardaron el equipaje todo el tiempo que necesite, muchas gracias a Rama de recepción que fue súper amable con todo lo que necesite en mi estancia !

Siento que la zona (2 cuadras desde el metro) son un poco complicada pero no pasa nada súper seguro si uno no se mete en nada.

Its too noisy, and even though earplugs were provided and inspite of having quiet hours, there was constant noise present.

Great location, close to metro stations, snack bars and grocery stores. The hostel was quiet and tidy, breakfast included (a big plus), the staff is very nice and helpful. The best choice for individuals for a night out.

La posizione è ottima, con più stazioni e fermate vicine. Per il prezzo che paghi la stanza è quella che è, se stanza si può chiamare. Staff disponibile pronto ad accogliere ogni richiesta

È vero che il prezzo per gli standard dì New York è basso, ma la stanza è davvero invivibile, è solo il letto e basta, ma comunque a quel prezzo è giusto così.

Le petit déjeuner était très complet et le personnel était aux petits soins pour ses clients. Durant mon séjour je me suis foulée la cheville, j’ai demandé si ils avaient un pack de glace et on m’en a apporté un alors qu’il était 22/23h.

Je trouve que les douches et les sanitaires ne sont pas très pratiques et hygiénique mais je pense que ce n’est pas principalement la faute de l’établissement, c’est surtout celui des clients qui ne nettoie pas après leurs passages.

This place is what it is. Fourth floor walk-up, pretty basic accommodations, VERY basic even. But the staff are really working hard to make it all work. Bathroom is crowded and one should expect a wait for the shower, etc. My first night was right across from the bathroom, terribly noisy all night long, doors opening and slamming shut etc. On Duty person ended up intervening and tossing someone out who was being REALLY loud, a bit uncomfortable. I got moved to a quiet wing upstairs on the fifth floor, which was much better. Bring a sleeping pill, use the earplugs and maybe even an eye mask and as long as you can deal with a SMALL bed, you'll be okay !! It's all for a good cause, the breakfast layout is fine, good coffee, water coolers, etc. Staff are really kind and hard-working.

well ... the bed is really tight, one can barely turn around in the room itself. There's room to stash a suitcase - midsize - under the bed. The lattice-work ceiling takes some getting used to. Obviously cheaply built. But it's for a good cause and the staff try to make it all work and are friendly and charming.

Tenía 2 duchas el baño de mujeres y una de ellas no funcionaba la canilla y solo salía agua fría . Me bañé con agua congelada haciendo -8 grados ese día

Beware of scam! These “budget single rooms” are not rooms as you expect. It is cubicle without ceiling so you hear everything from other cubicles! Faking hostel to “3 m2 hotel rooms”. Worst experience ever!

Hostel big room turned into cubicle style “cells”! At 7am they turn on the light and you have to wake up. It is a scam claiming these are rooms! No it is hostel with cubicles without ceiling. You can hear every alarm clock, every fart, every breath you did not take! Btw have you ever stay queue for bathroom in “hotel”? Here you gonna experience it!

Only staff was good rest everything was so unclean and unsanitary. Food was worst.

La habitación es muy pequeña y sin techo, a pesar de eso me sobró espacio para colocar mis cosas y la cama era cómoda. Solo había dos duchas y dos baños pero nunca tuve que esperar cola

Simple accommodation, but it has the essentials and offers privacy. Excellent location! Coffee, tea, and some snacks always available and it includes breakfast with homemade pastries and seasonal fruit (along with more basic options like bagels, cereals, etc.).

Its not that I didn’t like it, but it might be an important point for some people: you need to climb about 4 flights of stairs, and it’s a lot of stairs.

The breakfast is excellent and plentiful. The fresh fruit, breads, cereals, choice of teas, juice and hot coffee was very good and much appreciated. The staff are friendly and they take the snoring and general quietness seriously and I didn't find it a problem to sleep, but you do need earplugs as you can hear every noise from the cabins around you.

The bathroom is a bit small but I understand it's New York and space is limited. It would be nice if the other guests were a little more friendly and engaged a bit -- but that's not your fault. Everyone is just on their phone nowadays and don't seem to want to meet or chat with others in hostels.

The staff and culture was amazing! So courteous and I felt cared for. As soon as I booked, someone reached out instantly about the 10% discount if paying in cash. I was a little worried about the room size and lack of ceilings and making too much noise, but it was cozy and worked!

Nothing that wasn't regular hostel situation stuff - shared bathroom, living with so many people - but the private rooms made it a great experience! I only got one towel and didn't want to ask for another, but nbd.

The location is perfect to go everywhere from there. Except the first guy I met in reception, all the others are nice and professional. The breakfast was amazing with lots of options.

I arrived and told the person in the reception which is in the 3rd or 4th floor that I had been texting him and he (or the person I was texting) never answered my messages. He just said ''ok, and what do you want to know?'' A bit arrogant to receive a guest. Bad start for my first time in NYC... anyway. I didn't get his name and I didn't know who he was. My room didn't have ceiling, the walls were very thin that I could hear the others, the person next to me was doing so much noise and watching videos at 1:30 am and I could see the brightness of his light on which made me assume his room didn't have ceiling either. I couldn't rest the first night because of him. This place is ok and could meet your expectations if you are looking for something cheap, and going to out all day, if you want something more comfortable, no.

Good breakfast with multiple options to choose from, bananas could’ve been more ripe though. Excellent location, few blocks away from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. There were few homeless people outside on the road but property is well secured with fob access. Staff are very helpful and try their best to make the stay comfortable to everyone. On multiple occasions they gave nasal strips to people who snored and warned others who made loud noise during night.

The room is very compact, there isn’t enough room to even open the bags. Quiet hours are a bit inconvenient if you arrive late as even the slightest of noise is loudly audible. Need to be very careful while packing or unpacking from bags. No hooks in the bathroom to hang anything.

洗浴间的卫生可以再提升一下。马桶区间实在太小，东亚女性小个子身材都很难坐下，难以想象其他魁梧的人怎么解决。

Have a elevator in the building and beds that weren't so high off the ground for short persons like me. Also better rules about the tenets having their bright light switch wall lights on passed 10 or eleven pm. I had a neighbor who left it on until 3am😡

Everything was perfect! I would totally rebook again. I have wanted to visit NYC for 6 years and NYSH made that accessible to me. Also the fact I could drop by during the day to get a tea/hot drink/refresh was so appreciate. Thank you 🙏

One client was a bit rowdy on my last night however the team dealt with it very well.

Chambre petite mais très bien organisée et facile d'accès Très bon emplacement ! Le personnel vous aide avec votre valise pour monter ou descendre les innombrables marches, c'est très gentil !

Il est écrit que les personnes qui ronflent ne sont pas admises dans l'établissement, hors plusieurs personnes durant mon séjour ronflaient durant la nuit ! Un peu fatiguant quand on réserve un lieu censé être calme... Douches et toilettes communs la plupart du temps propres ! Très bien ! Mais un peu vieillot à certains endroits et pas très pratique, un peu petit, surtout les douches (la partie hors du bac). Certaines personnes ne respectent pas trop ces lieux et laissaient des traces dans les toilettes, les cheveux dans la douche,... La partie douches/toilettes pourraient être grandement améliorée et ce serait parfait !

Highly convenient location for my needs, with easy access to the subway. Friendly, helpful staff. Quality food and drink around the clock. Small but comfortable room (pod). Good value considering the exorbitant prices for rooms in other hotels in the same vicinity.

One morning, my room got a bit warm, but other than that, I was satisfied with everything about the place and my stay there.

Location is good, cleanliness is ok, Staffs are nice.

Staffs made noise after 10 for hours, I couldn’t sleep all night, the hotel guest forgot the main door keys, so he knocked 4 times the door loudly. Woke me up, I couldn’t sleep and panic. Terrible. They have many rules to not do. But noisy happened to me, make my night not good, couldn’t sleep. They didn’t do anything. But I appreciate for this hostel for the cheap price. But I paid high price!!!
