El personal es muy amable, hicimos la clase de cocina con ellos y nos gustó mucho. Por las vías del tren se llega al centro en 3 minutos.

The location is great, very near to the center and in the jungle at the same time. We could see a lot of animals from the balcony, and you hear a lot of birds in the morning. The owners are very friendly and helpful (they have their own tuktuk/taxi service with good prices).

The location was amazing, a bit outside the main road in Ella but that is perfect if you want peace. Right next to the railway tracks, an easy walk to Ella city center from there. The room was big and very clean, and the balcony was a hit - had some monkeys visiting! The owners were very lovely. I had to leave at 2am for a transfer, and since I wouldn't have managed to have breakfast they brought me some fresh fruit the night before! Extremely kind people.

All was good - don't expect luxury of course but it is a modest place and it's perfect!

Very quiet but close to town. Lovely breakfast each morning. A friendly family in a great bush setting with your balcony in the tree tops. Good hot water.

La ubicación me pareción muy buena, algo alejada del bullicio de la calle principal, lo cual se agradece ya que por las noches Ella es muy ruidosa. La habitación era correcta y la cama con mosquitera era muy cómoda. El desayuno lo encontré normal y decente pero nada espectacular.

Una de las noches no había agua caliente, no sé si porque tienen un sistema de acumuladores y otros huéspedes agotaron el agua al ser tarde o porque había un problema. El resto de la estancia no tuvimos problemas.

La localisation légèrement excentrée et en hauteur, à proximité du chemin pour aller voir Ella’s Rock mais en restant à 10min à pied du centre. Le petit déjeuner est sublime et bien délicieux !

Loved the location, very short walk along the train tracks to the Main Street, and super close to Mateys hut which was our favourite for food and cooking class! The breakfast was yummy. The room was basic but very good value for the price we paid. The balcony had monkey visitors in the morning which was the highlight for us!

The room was pretty small and basic but fine! Mosquitos in the bathroom so just had to keep the bathroom door closed.

The breakfast was perfect, owner was kind enough to allow us to cancel! A little walk from city Center but nice Location.

The room was not clean ! the bed was well done but more like wet, room felt like it was cleaned some / many days before we check in so it was Dustyand not fresh .we had to leave next day …

Super bien placé si vous prenez l'accès par les rails (pas d'inquiétude tout le monde le fait et même la nuit !). Petite terrasse très sympathique pour le petit déjeuner le matin et se poser ! Le petit déjeuner est super copieux et très bon (sauf le café à revoir prenez peut etre du thé ! et les fruits pourraient être plus goûteux au vue du pays mais bon ce sont des détails) Une famille très sympa et très aidante, notamment pour avoir des prix un peu moins touristiques sur les transports, ce qui est très appréciable car je voyageais seule :) Je reviendrais avec plaisir ! Il fait frais le soir mais il y a des couvertures et je pense qu'on peut en demander plus si besoin. Pour ce prix c'est une pépite !

Franchement pour ce prix on ne peut pas en attendre beaucoup plus ! Les quelques points d'amélioration : on sent un peu l'humidité dans les chambres, en journée ma chambre donnait sur la rue et on entend beaucoup de tuktuk et de la musique qui vient du restaurant en face (ça s'arrête vers 23h). Et ce que j'écrivais pour le petit déjeuner mais sinon rien à redire pour ce prix et cette famille superbe :)

Emplacement exceptionnel, avec vue sur la montagne. Grandes chambres avec balcon. Confort de base, mais très propre. Un restau-bar très sympathique juste à côté et d’autres paq loin.

Udessa Rest Ella is right on the Pekoe Trail, a 5 minute walk into town via a short cut along the railway line. We were welcomed warmly and the host family were kind and considerate to our needs. Our room is spacious, comfortable and clean with a wide balcony, lovely for eating breakfast and relaxing. Great value for the price, highly recommend this home stay.

Great location nestled among the trees up the Mt road but very easy and accessible to town below. Great value.

If stairs are difficult, stone steps up to rooms might be a challenge but host is very helpful

Really great room and lovely balcony to chill on and spot wildlife in the trees. The staff were helpful. I really liked the location off the main road abit so more quiet but still accessible by foot

Wifi wasn’t the best

Home stay tenue par une charmante dame, gentille, disponible. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux, et la chambre très agréable. Il y a un grand balcon où vous prenez le petit déjeuner face à la nature et au Ella Rock, agrémenté parfois par le passage d’un singe sur la rambarde. Proche du centre-ville par la voie ferrée, 3 minutes à pied. Je recommande.

Lugar muy limpio (a diferencia de muchos otros que nos hemos encontrado en Sri Lanka), cuidado y con un personal muy amable. Desayuno muy rico. Lo recomiendo al 100%

Todo 10! Me alojé 4 noches! Por las vías queda a 5min del centro y es muy tranquilo, súper limpio, el desayuno abundante y rico! De las mejores estancias que he tenido. La familia super atenta! Todo el día limpiando los espacios comunes. Todo impecable.

Der Blick auf die tobenden Affen war sehr schön. Wenn man über die Gleise geht ist man schnell an der Hauptstraße mit all den Restaurants etc..

Die Affen sind manchmal auf das Dach gelaufen, was man in der Nacht sehr gehört hat.

Great location as you could cut across the train tracks into town. Amazing host as helped us arrange a Tuktuk for sunrise for the little Adam's peak hike. Nice spacious room with balcony where we had breakfast!

Das Zimmer war sehr gross und sauber. Die Dusche warm, hat sehr gut funktioniert. Der Balkon war ebenfalls schön gross und man konnte dort das leckere Frühstück einnehmen. Die Familie ist sehr freundlich. Man bekommt zuerst den Eindruck, dass es etwas abseits liegt aber über die Bahnschienen ist man in 3 Minuten im Ort.

Das Internet hat kaum funktioniert.

The room is clean and the bed is big.

Unfortunately, the hosts only did the bare minimum. They do not speak English, which is fine, but they also did not make much effort to help. I asked if they could order a taxi for me to get to the train station, which they forgot, and in the end they had to ask a neighbour to drive me on short notice. Because of a dietary restriction, I asked them to leave one item out of the breakfast and replace it with something else. They only left it out, so the breakfast ended up being very small and I had to eat out instead. I also forgot my headphones at the accommodation. They confirmed that they had them, but when I asked if they could arrange sending them to me (of course at my expense), they stopped responding to my messages. Overall, I did not feel very welcome. The shower was also problematic: the water was extremely hot — so hot that I couldn’t shower without risking burns and had to use only cold water.

Detta boende levde inte upp till några förväntningar. Vi visste det skulle vara enkelt men det finns gränser! Det ligger högt upp för en oerhört lång smal backe som vi inte lyckades ta oss upp för med bil med bagage i. Fick betala för tuktuk för att få upp väskorna och parkera nere i stan. Upplevdes ofräscht överlag och utsikten gick inte att se på grund av alla träd. Vår förare lyckades få upp bilen kvällen innan vi skulle åka, utan bagage i och en tom väg så han kunde "gasa på"!

Habitación muy cómoda y limpia. El baño estaba genial y ducha con agua caliente. La habitación tenía un balcón donde desayunamos todos los días. Muy bien todo.

L'emplacement et l'accès rapide en ville par le raccourci le long de la voie de chemin de fer. La gentillesse de la famille qui gère l'établissement. Les restaurants à proximités. Observer les singes et les oiseaux depuis le balcon. Les délicieux petits déjeuners bien achalandés. Les chambres et les sanitaires sont propres et il y a de l'eau chaude !

It's a friendly and welcoming family, which to tries to help you in any way. Father of family has a tuk tuk and can arrange any transfer around Ella. Ella tuk tuk prices are very high, pick me is out of work, so he offers you the less expensive price so no need to negotiate all day on street. We visited first day nine arch bridge and little Adam's peak. The second day tea factory, 3 waterfalls and one temple. We also visited the temple at the top of mountain because it was a special celebration due to full moon. When we arrived we thought that uphill towards property is very hard but the next days we found that it's ok and in addition it's possible to follow the train tracks for 100 meters and find the upper side of main road, we loved this way. Rooms are very basic but they have a nice balcony.

In family room only one light was working, the other 3 no. Next building looks neglected. Breakfast area has no view. Jack fruits fall down from trees, they don't clean immediately and everywhere outside of rooms there is often a bad smell. In double room bed is next to wall that means one person has to jump over the other.

Breakfast was good

The room did not had the minimum conditions: no hot water, not clean (spiderwebs all over the bathroom), room door did not close well, the room was much smaller than in the pictures (the bed was pushed against the wall) and the balcony looked like it was not finished

Sauberes Zimmer mit tollem, großen Balkon (mit Glück sogar mit Affenbesuch wie bei unserem Aufenthalt). Den Zug hört man zwar recht gut, aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Wäscheservice, Cooking class usw. wird angeboten. Gutes Frühstück. Super bequemes Bett mit richtigen Decken und Mosquito Netz. Über einen "Short cut" ist man in ca. 5 Minuten (über die Schienen) im Trubel von Ella (Supermärkte, Restaurants, ATM, Bars, Bahnhof). Wir kommen wieder.

La habitación era bastante grande y con balcón. Pero sin duda lo mejor del hostal es Dany. También esta alejado de las zonas de bares por lo que es bastante tranquila la zona.

La familia es adorable. Notas la humildad y el agradecimiento, y te lo llevas a dentro. El lugar es genial, la terraza fantástica. A 4minutos del bullicio(que en Ella hay bastante) y sin embargo ahí apartado y cerca, con el simple sonido de los pájaros y posición al amanecer.

Big, beautiful, wonderful room. Comfortable matress, balcony, hot shower, fantastic breakfast, kind family run place. Very close to the train station walking along a path next to the tracks that locals and tourists regularly use. In a quiet location away from noisy downtown Ella, but close enough to meet ur needs. If u have a rolling suitcase u may need a tuk tuk as the path isnt so even or wide, but easy walking with a back pack. I loved this place and will definitely come back anytime i come to Ella.

La proximité du centre ville l’accueil de Danny et la famille. Nous ont aidé pour nos déplacements et transferts. Nous ont permis de découvrir dans un secteur moins touristiques ce qui nous apte mis de belles rencontres et de beaux sites

Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Hôte extrêmement sympathique et enthousiaste qui vous accueille chaleureusement et vous donne de bons conseils sur Ella! Le petit dejeuner était bien fourni et l’emplacement est idéal (moins de 5 minutes à pied du centre en passant par les rails).

Notre porte ne fermait pas vraiment à clé mais nous avons utilisé notre propre cadenas donc aucun problème en ce qui nous concerne!

Établissement très bien placé à 5 mn à pied du centre, au calme et loin de l’agitation de la rue principale. Belle terrasse privative où un bon petit déjeuner vous est servi à l’heure souhaitée. Dani est très disponible et serviable pour répondre à vos questions.

Het ligt dicht bij het station, wat je zowel als een voordeel of als een nadeel kunt zien. Het ontbijt was lekker.
