A huge room with a large and very good shower, freezing air conditioning that was perfect for the area’s heat, and a private balcony for drying clothes and relaxing. There was also a small kitchen for cooking, and even though the gas stove did not work, the host kindly provided me an electric hot plate instead.

The location was a bit far from the center and required some walking, which I originally thought would make it quieter, but I woke up several times every morning because of the train noise. In addition, there were many ants appearing in random areas of the room.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, gut und ruhig gelegen. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett, wir konnten unsere Wäsche waschen und Wasser vor Ort kaufen, was sehr praktisch war.

Leider konnten wir den Herd in unserer Küche nicht benutzen, weil es kein Gas gab. Aber wir konnten bei der Familien im Erdgeschoss kochen, weshalb das nicht weiter schlimm war.

Habitación muy cómoda y completa, tiene aire acondicionado y una mini cocina con todo lo necesario. El propietario fue muy atento y amable. Lo recomendaría sin duda.

Локация именно то, что и хотелось. Тихо и спокойно, при этом 10 мин до пляжа и жд вокзала пешком, 7 минут до маркета и в целом все рядом. Чисто, аккуратно, без излишеств, цена отличная

Приехал очень поздним вечером, а туалетную бумагу пришлось просить, не подготовлено. Мусорного как такового ведра нет нигде, ванных принадлежностей также не обнаружено.

The landlord was kind and always willing to help with any issues. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, and one of the rooms had a brand-new LG air conditioner, which made our stay very comfortable. The refrigerator, kitchen facilities, dining area, and living room were all clean and convenient to use. There is a Food City nearby, and if you follow the railway track, you’ll find a shopping center and several vegetable and fruit shops near Weligama Station where you can get everything you need. It’s also easy to catch a bus to Mirissa or Matara from the main road. Weligama Beach is just a 5-minute walk away through the cemetery, making it very accessible.

It’s close to the railway, so you can occasionally hear the trains passing by, but it wasn’t too bothersome.

The location was great and the hosts were super kind and helpful! The apartment looks exactly as described. And the wifi is great!

The apartment was quite dirty when I arrived but they cleaned it immediately. It gets quite hot. Only one room has an AC.

It is a comfortable room with small kitchen inside and hot big shower with hot water. The location was good but I had a bike so it was easy getting from place to place.

The WiFi was a bit slow some nights

Advantages — the price/quality ratio is excellent. Very clean, the apartment is of a normal size, there is even a balcony. The beach is less than 10 minutes on foot, which is also very convenient. Same for supermarket. Cute hostess (manager?). What I didn't like: There's a construction site nearby, and sometimes it was VERY noisy. You can hear the trains very well too. Breakfasts were not available (but on booking there was an option). Upon arrival, there was no blanket (sheet) on the bed. The kitchen is very minimalistic (not a big problem, but there wasn't even a cooking spatula). Host asked to check out at 10, although the booking indicated 11, and the previous tourists were until 12. In the end, we agreed on 12, but it is unclear why we had to defend it.

i would recommend this stay for anyone, the owner was kind and helpful and let us do laundry, the property was clean and tidy, its location was a short walk from local restaurants and the beach.

Comfortable, aircon and hot water worked well. Owners very lovely.

Good sized room, loved having a kitchenette and fridge, good wifi, not far to shops and cafes. Very good value. Not far from train tracks but didn’t really bother us at all.

Value for money. Kitchen facility and intruments ( including gas cooker) very usefull to prepare quick meals. And also there was a refrigerator as well.

very nice location close to the beach but at the same time a bit out of the way in the jungle, nice and quiet, fresh rooms, great facilities, they have literally everything, nice and helpful hosts, I highly recommend

The place was great! The room is designed to have everything you need. Double bed, roof fan, air-conditioning, fully installed and equipped kitchen, fridge, balcony fast Wifi, and en suit bathroom with working hot showers! Shakula and his family are great people, always there yo assist with your needs! Location is ideal, less than 10 mins walk into the centre of town and less than 5 to the beach! Ideal if you're looking to stay close into the town and surfs but don't want the noise of the busy city centre.

We had a great stay in Sakula’s 2 bedroom apartment in Weligama. Just a few minutes walk from great cafes and restaurants, Cargills Supermarket, and the beach. The AC worked very well and Sakula was super accommodating and helpful if we needed anything.

Nothing to complain about at Sakulas!
