Tude Hostel Ubud

This is a great budget hostel in a convenient location in Ubud. The facilities are excellent considering the price, making it a fantastic value-for-money stay.

I honestly didn't have any major complaints. For the price I paid, the hostel offered great facilities and a very convenient location.

There are bugs crawling over you when u try to sleep. Not possible to get a good sleep. Sorry but this is unacceptable

Wonderful hostel! Very clean, central location (although it is so peaceful and quite there), the kitchen to cook a quick breakfast in the morning, absolutely amazing staff - they are really just wonderful people. I’ve been to Ubud twice and I stayed in this hostel both of these times. I’d choose it again if I am ever back to Bali.

Ho voluto prolungare il mio soggiorno ad UBUD ed ho trovato questa struttura. Niente di incredibile, ma per il prezzo ci può stare. Nulla di eccezzionale.

Le personnel est sympathique et l'hébergement est parfait, propre, bien localisé et une vue incroyable depuis la terrasse. Le déjeuner est très bon aussi !

Salle de bain mériterait un sérieux rafraîchissement, il y a un trou au plafond et de l'eau coule par ce trou, pas de petit dej alors que ma réservation le mentionnait, matelas mou c'était carrément un trou d'un côté

Comfortable, good value for money. It was quiet, I felt safe. Good location. Reasonably clean.

Always in my heart because of Mama's aura and care :) the place feels like home, safe, non intrusive and peaceful.

The beds are comfy and the place is kept clean on a daily basis. There is a small kitchen that fulfill my basic needs to prep a simple breakfast and keep my food cool.

Really worth the price, honestly no complaints at all for what you pay. The room was simple but clean and comfortable, and the WiFi was very good. I often got around 100 Mbps, so it was easy to work online and watch videos without stress. The location is okay and convenient enough. The Monkey Forest is just a few minutes scooter ride, many warungs and restaurant nearby, very easy to find food.

No complaints considering the price is only $4 per night

Check in was fast and easy, staff in kind and the position of the hostel is good.

My experience at Tude Hostel was really bad. I was expecting a clean and well served hostel (as said in the few reviews shared on Booking and Google Maps) but instead I found a really dirty and not comfortable place. I initially booked for three nights but I stayed for only one. As you can see from the few pictures I uploaded: - In the bathroom, which is shared with other three people, the bin was really small and open (not very hygienic considering that everyone throw dirty papers and other stuff in it). - The kitchen (which I was really excited about) was disgusting and impossible to use; it was equipped with only two old and dirty pans, no soap available for cleaning, a disgusting dirty fridge with no names and data on food left in it. - I found little ants and hairs on the wall near my bed. - When I woke up in the morning the water tank was empty and it kept be like that at least until I left (after 1 pm), which is not the best considering the fact that morning time is the moment when everyone may be taking water. - When I left the hostel (after 1 pm), the room, bathroom and common area (like the kitchen) were not have been cleaned yet by anyone... which, again, is not the best considering the fact that everything was really dirty. To conclude, the only night I slept at Tude Hostel, I was sharing the room with an old man that was snoring for the whole night making it a nightmare. Same old man that in the morning stole and used my towel, while his wife (I guess) was hand washing all their clothes (and towels) in the common area and hanging them out using all the available drying racks - pretty annoying 😅

Lednička byla fakt hrozně špinavá. Poměr cena kvalita odpovídá, postel dobrá koupelna taky. Zamykací skříňky jsou venku.

Breakfast pancakes

Beautiful hosts, amazing pancakes, very clean, maximum 4 bunk beds/room x 4 rooms = not crowded, perfectly intimate so u get to connect easily with other travellers. U can make friends here. Fresh towels upon request. Location is close to everything in Ubud. Great shopping and restaurants nearby. I really enjoyed my stay here. It costs me $10USD for 4 nights. Excellent lightning in my bunk + curtains and strong air con.

The mosquito bites, but went to the pharmacy just around the corner and they gave me medicine which u apply and instant relief and no more bites. Name of medicine: Betason-N.

I love this place it’s very nice! I met amazing people here, they clean it all the time. Hot water shower. Breakfast included, it’s simple, but fine. I stayed 1 week and I really enjoyed! Especially price / quality.

The location is close to a very busy street so this for me was a bit intense and also the rooms are very small. But it’s just minor details.

The smell of the bathroom was so disgusting it made me dry heave every time I had to go in. If someone opened the door, it would fill the whole room. The smell was impossible to clean out as there was no ventilation. Besides showering, I resorted to brushing my teeth outside and waiting before getting to a local Cafe to use the toilet.

The hostel is located very close to the center, but it’s nicely hidden so there’s no noise reaching it. The room was cleaned every day and was very comfortable. The staff were very nice and polite, making good breakfast in the morning and otherwise making sure our stay was pleasant.

The hostel is very quiet and has a weird vibe. The staff when I was there were very cold and not around to ask questions about anything. They also let themselves into your room whenever they like. I had two occasions where on my first day I had woken up at 2am to do the sunrise hike, so when I got back I was sleeping in the room and had someone come into the room multiple times to clean. I understand the room needs cleaning but this was way before the checkout time of 12pm and they could see I was trying to sleep. They also don’t knock and just use the key to unlock the door and enter the room. The door to get into the room is really noisy when you open it also so having this happen multiple times when you’re trying to sleep is very annoying. On my second day, the same thing happens again but at 8am in the morning when I don’t check out until 12pm! I was also trying to have a bit of a lie in as I was leaving for a flight that day. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for solo travellers. I don’t understand why you don’t just clean the rooms after check out and before check in? Not when your guests are sleeping in them!

It’s quiet at night to sleep but easy access to everything. I stayed 6 nights here & made it home for myself. I particularly like the bathroom inside the room so it’s convenient at night. There is a fridge to put fruits and water. Free tea coffee & water. It’s not close to Ubud palace, but you can get there & all the major yoga centres within 20 mins of motorbike ride. 20 mins walk to yoga barn, 15 mins walk to CrossFit. I also found a non-busy yoga centre within 10 mins walk.

The bed is soo comfy, I had good sleep every night! Location wise is good, close to centre (so please expect some traffic jam in front of the hostel during rush hours) yet very quiet when you're in the hostel. Staff is friendly and greet you every morning asking if you need breakfast. Room and toilet is cleaned everyday. Storage: You will get a small locker with keys to put your valuables, but that's it. There is limited place to put your luggage or backpack in the room, not even under the bed; so it means putting them on the floor and creating inconvenience for others to walk around the room. But luckily the bed is wide enough for me to put my backpack on it. Breakfast: Simple pancake with few pieces of fruits, small portion but enough for you to not start the day hungry haha. Would appreciate if they change they menu a bit every alternate day, as most guests stay there for few days straight, it would be nice to have some variety everyday.

Apart from the storage and breakfast which leave a lot to be desired, the hostel is also lacking a better common area like sofa or lounge area, for us to unwind or mingle comfortably, because the only place we can chill is the dining tables outside of the room, but the benches aren't the most comfortable to sit in; and for those who want to rest early, they can still clearly hear people chatting outside the room. But this is just my feedback instead of complaints, because we pay such a low price for the stay =) The only complaint I have is the drainage system in our toilet, it is giving foul smell everyday.

The breakfast was very nice some crêpes and fresh fruits perfect. The owners are very kind, discret and friendly. Close to the Hostel you got a gym and few warung really cheap and delicious.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. They prepared breakfast everyday and even one day I woke up late and thought I missed the breakfast time but they still offered to make me food. Great place to meet other travelers, super clean, quite place. It has all the necessary amenities- hot water in the shower, toiletries, generaly clean and big bathroom in the room. Although 4 people stay in one room and the room itself is not that big, it felt private enough with the curtains. The owners told me they make sure that they put similar age group or gender into the same room so we can feel more comfortable with each other. If you are someone like me and like to walk then its location is great. Because you can just walk to different cafes or shops nearby. You can walk without getting bored from the hostel to the main Ubud street market since the road is full of shops and restaurants to check out.

Really nice! very sweet people and location is very convenient. Beds are very soft. the hostel is very small only 12 beds in total.

The hostel was so clean, even with it being raining all day long, they kept it spotless. The breakfast was also very nice. They also make sure that if the place it's nor fully booked the rooms are not full!

Great value for money, with breakfast included. The Best shower I've had in Bali, hot with great pressure! Location was close enough to walk into the middle of Ubud but not as noisy as being in the thick of it. Room was clean with good AC. Perfect for a couple of nights.

The rooms were small with no space for backpack storage. Luckily there was only 2 in the room so it was fine but would be difficult if it was full or for longer stays.

Everything was great

The breakfast was so delicious and healthy very natural and it contained fruits and you can also still cook by yourself which is nice , i think if i'll ever be back to Ubud i'll go straightly back to TUDE HOSTEL. I spend 5 amazing days there and even the people were super nice they help you with everything you need .

Nice place - very small rooms but everything is clean and it has a calm and good vibe. You feel safe and it has a good location to walk around Ubud!
