Given that I was there for the Camino I would have liked to have been closer to the town square where we could try the Pardon peppers. The food options nearby were unfortunately not great.

There was also a beautiful garden courtyard where we sat and had coffee with our Camino friends our last morning in Santiago. It was so peaceful!

Lo único quizá a mejorar es la presión del agua en la ducha, que la hemos sentido algo baja, por lo cual dificultaba un poco lavarse el cabello (que yo tengo mucho),

I found bedbugs in my bed in the middle of the night. I woke up and called reception and they were fully booked and unable to move me to another room. I have emailed twice now and messaged in Booking and no one has followed up with me about the BEDBUGS! I am asking for a full refund because this is crazy for a hotel room.

La habitación fue muy cómoda, con generosas medidas generosas, camas cómodas, amplio baño con buena mesada para apoyar todo lo necesario y bidet (fundamental y poco común en Europa) El personal muy atento. Recomiendo este hotel 100%

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026We had a large room with a view over the garden. The hotel was quiet at night, in spite of being located in the old city, within easy walking distance of the cathedral. The room and the hotel were clean and well looked after. The air-conditioning worked well and the bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate.
Not a walk in shower, but a shower over the bath. Although there was a grab rail, care was needed because the curved base of the bath got quite slippy.

La insonorización se escuchaba todo de la calle tuve que dormir con tapones al estar céntrico paraba mucha gente de fiesta y se escuchaba como si estuvieran en la habitación está muy mal insonorizada

The patio rooms have beautiful views, and the rooms themselves were clean and well-equipped with everything a visitor might need. The staff were friendly and wonderful throughout our stay, and the breakfast option was a lovely. We’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the beautiful city of Santiago de Compostela — we’ll definitely be back.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026Hotel San Miguel stands out for several reasons, especially its location, the venue itself and the helpful and friendly staff members. It is wonderfully central, right in the heart of Santiago’s atmosphere and close to the finish and the city’s beautiful historic buildings and old-world charm. After an extremely long day on the Camino, the last thing one wants is another long walk to find the hotel, food, explore the town, or return to one’s accommodation. San Miguel made all of that effortless. It is also ideally positioned in a quiet area, which makes sleep a joy! Another standout were the team members, Jorgé and Luisá, who very helpful, friendly, speak good English, and, yeah, made things a lot easier. The quality of the bed is great and the rest of the room, including the bathroom, well designed and modern with old-world surroundings when you open the window and step onto the balcony.

Las habitaciones acogedoras, limpias y con vistas increíbles (doble tercer piso) La gente es súper amable. Es mi segunda vez en el hotel.
Todo estuvo muy bien, por decir algo tal vez estaría bueno que el desayuno estuviera incluido por el precio de las habitaciones. Pero no hay nada que no me haya gustado. Todo excelente.

There were few amenities, no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee, breakfast should be included at that price point.
