Great stay in a hotel I have stayed in a few times. Great breakfast and staff are the best!

Very clean. Fluffy towels, comfy bed with good bedding. Lovely helpful staff all through the weekend. Had a slight problem with working the heater but it was sorted immediately. Food was amazing. One teeny thing, could so with more milk in room, need 4 of those tiny pots for 1 drink but thats all. Would highly recommend amd will def book again. .

Breakfast cancelled because chef didn't turn up. Staff at check-in rude Toilet in room 11 full of poo when I entered the room!! Not me I promise! Duvet on bed was very small and thin!

Lack of sockets in the room we stayed in no socket at the dressing table to dry hair the only one was behind the kettle making facilities under the tv.

LIve singer in the evening, flexible approach to our parking next day, sunrise in the morning, comfortable bed and fact that it had a bath, also one of the young bar staff tried repeatedly to solve our issues, so this improved matters and meant the difference as this was a special occasion.

Interior of pub not being traditional any more. Heating in room was faulty, which left us somewhat cold in the evening, and the manager had been supposed to knock on our door to get this and the wifi and tv issues sorted but never appeared or called us, to enquire how many of the four things we had resolved, at any point aftenoon, evening or next morning. Bin liners left in the entrance lobby to the side accomodation. Doors and walls don't make for an excellent night's sleep in the accomdation area, all a bit thin and close together, privacy was compromised by dog walkers right up to corner of our view.

Good range of drinks available from the bar at reasonable prices. Accommodation building and rooms modern and looked recently upgraded.

Unfortunately the food ordered from the dinner menu was of very poor quality and overpriced. Management should review the catering operation.

Food in evening was hit and miss as had run out of prawns starter and lasagne and was only 7pm. Breakfast generally good although had no salmon to serve with scrambled eggs/salmon from menu

The staff absolutely made the stay. All went the extra mile to make it a pleasant stay. The local clientele made me very welcome. Great night being a local and fabulous breakfast. Way to go team Oak.

Shower could have been more modern but it did a great job. You have to find something to moan about 😊

Already love and know the pub, good food and lovely staff. Rooms were really homey and comfy. Breakfast was lovely. The cleaner in the morning is an absolute ray of sunshine, really lovely.

Friendliness of the whole staff team. Hot food, generous and tasty. Roaring fire in the main bar that warmed us after a cold day out and about. Comfortable room.

Location was great for me. The rooms are in a separate building behind the pub, plenty of parking spaces and the staff were all very friendly.

As the outdoor seating area was hidden from main road, it was used at 3am by a group who woke me up and kept me awake until they left. My room was by the exit door, so very noisy when people came in from the pub and when they left for work at 6am. I didn't sleep well here.

Breakfast was great and the location was perfect for what we had planned. Room was more than adequate for price paid. Bar was good.

This is not a new property, but that is part of the charm

The Oak is just in the right place for our visit to Coventry Airport. The staff are always friendly and the facilities nice and clean - thank you.

The room was decorated very nicely, it was clean had tea, coffee and biscuits, the bed was comfortable. The staff on arrival and for breakfast were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was lovely. Great value for money.

Shower water could have been hotter. As it was a heatwave this was not a problem but would be in colder times. Evening meal in pub was not great quality but breakfast was good.

Room and breakfast was of very high standard

We have stayed here four times and this time it has been under new management. The place has gone downhill. Although the rooms are still fine (albeit a little rough around the edges) this is thanks to the lovely lady who cleans them. The breakfast was substandard (full English) and the dinner menu was mediocre, we actually ate down the road the second night. The whole place is sadly going downhill.

The room was cold and the bed was cold. The staff didn’t seem to want to serve us at night when we arrived back from a concert.

The price charged on taking a dog . I understand why as some owners are filthy but we arent all the same . Those who foul the rooms should be made to pay - not those who keep the rooms clean.

The staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made the stay feel easy and relaxed. The food was nice, with good portions and plenty of choice, the room was comfortable, clean, and quiet and the parking was free - perfect for a short stay.

The only downside was the shower, which wasn’t very powerful. It worked, but the water pressure was quite weak.

Beautiful surroundings and close to shops. Easy check-in and check-out out and very informative. Staff are friendly and welcoming with a warm smile. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was really comfortable.

The curtains in the room did not close fully in the middle so we had to have something holding them and the shower stick would go back down so water would come out of taps instead of shower head and it was a bit of a go around trying to get the right temperature even when only turning cold on slightly.

Breakfast was poor never offered continental breakfast choice just menu of cooked options had to ask for alternative not very helpful service staff

Should have Had continental display of choices..for breakfast...more helpful and friendly welcoming staff...outside areas scruffy with empty beer bottles and glasses broken slabs generally scruffy and un cared for..room ok but needs work broken tiles and light and loose tap..cleaner very helpful...Best member of staff there

The Oak is dog friendly. The village location has plenty of opportunities for walks and there is an area close by for the last toilet visit before bed. You can take your dog with you for meals and there is plenty of space for a larger dog to lay without being in the way. I need Gluten free meals and the one I chose was excellent!

Instructions as to how to use the radiator would be useful, it took me ages by trial and error. (That could just be me though!)

Beautiful old pub, the food was excellent. The room was comfortable- fairly basic but all we needed.

I asked for a quiet room but was located right by the front door and each person who came in disturbed me trying to get to sleep. Staff could not give me a different room, I had booked a month in advance

I arrived late and was still welcomed, and managed to get some food. The room was lovely and cosy with a really nice bathroom. The facilities were fab - nice coffee machine, freshly baked biscuits, nice towels and bedding. I didn't have a lot of time for breakfast, but Jude was really nice and made sure I was served quickly - the menu choices were amazing and I wish I had more time! The location was also perfect and again, I wish I had arrived in daylight and spent time here! The atmosphere within the whole hotel was lovely - nice fairy lights throughout downstairs which I loved!
