Hotel Pelangi Malang, Kayutangan Heritage

I didn't know why this hotel received just a very average rating, but I'd say it exceeded my expectations. My room is pretty large, the facilities are fine and clean, plus the location very close to Alun-Alun Malang. The staffs were helpful when I told them the door lock issue. Highly recommend to visit the nearby Lapidoth Cafe as well.

Very few hangers in the closet

Great location, friendly staff, clean pool, working aircon.

No complaints, was just as advertised

Quaint old hotel downtown, very quiet, easy to find and park, friendly staff

Quaint old hotel, friendly staff, older beds but comfortable. Coffee and tea and hot water available in tbe roo..

It had a good location and was placed a bit back from the main road, so that was good

We had to change room to get the bedsize we had ordered and both rooms were very dirty - not only in bad shape but also just bad cleaned. The towels were dirty as well. We ordered this hotel to have a pool, but each day for five days the pool was used for swimming practice for local kids, so there were absolutely no room for us at the pool.

Instead of 4 star hotel, It should be a 5 star hotel. What a great experience. Love all their staff.

Unfortunately in our room, the wifi wasn’t working. But the one in the lobby works really well.

Staff really friendly and helpful. Location fantastic

Breakfast choices poor and of low quality, no vegetarian option except rice porridge one day. Beds were as soft as hammocks. Bathroom was ancient, full of ants and a shower that could not be switched from tap mode. Located in a splendid Dutch colonial hotel which appears to have had no upgrade since they left 70+ years ago. It could be so much more. Very disappointed, when I suggested we leave my wife begged me to find somewhere else. First time we've ever done that.

love the location easier to find local food. nice staff and near the train stations.

the room have 🦟🦟🦟😅

Great staff, good location, friendly vibe.

I regretted booking a room without a window

Spacious rooms, good equipment

Not a place to stay too long

No breakfast was provided under Booking .com.I have to make payments for every breakfast that i took

Toilet is not clean and the mattress is to soft.

Central location in historic area of Malang, good staff, last time in Malang was 1982, now a crowded busy city with understandable traffic issues. But we came specifically to see aging friends not seen in 50 years so the time spent with them up at Batu & nearby city areas was invaluable.

half a million less people

location and the breakfast area

No ambiance whatsoever apart from the restaurant. The bed was so dirty, you don’t want to sleep in it. Towels had stains. We left.

Got some mosquitoes at dusk.. Overall it was a good place near the park in the city centre.

Kind of very basic motel... oldish, wouldn't stay more than a night, but still ok as last mn booking for a busy weekend. Simple bedroom with basic bed, quite big. Bathroom rustic and not really clean.
