Reviewed Aug 22, 2026We rented a room in the older main house, shared by the host family, which I think has a different level of comfort (and price) than the newer independent houses. Very much a fishing lodge vibe. The room was simple, plain, and functional.
Whatever you do, don't ring the doorbell when you arrive! Host Heather does not appreciate it. Vegetarian options for a hot breakfast would be good, as would hot chocolate for younger guests. The value for the stay for us wasn't great, compared to similar accommodations this summer around the same price point.

Zimmer groß und tolle Betten, wir haben hervorragend geschlafen und die Nähe zum Atlantik, ein Traum, alles in allem…ein warmes, liebevolles B&B mit hohem Wohlfühlcharakter! Wir kommen wieder 🙏

Heather, is the nicest person you'll ever meet and her cooking is amazing. Her staff are amazing, so friendly so attentive . If you're into your WW1 / WW2 History and diving wrecks around the Irish north east coast, you need to visit this wonderful little peace of heaven.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026The accommodation in one of the cottages was excellent and ensuite room was exceptionally large with all amenities at hand including numerous electrical sockets (lacking in many places). Heather was extremely helpful, welcoming and chatty. Breakfast was better than good with the table layout beautifully designed with small individual churn-like glass bottles for juice/milk; the choices were numerous and the 'Full-Irish' cooked perfectly. Nothing was spared - the breakfast-staff were so polite, engaging and wonderfully talkative. We wanted to stay at breakfast for ages in this pleasant conversational atmosphere. The lounge/sitting area of the main building adjacent to the breakfast area was available to all at any time of the day and included a fridge for use by guests which housed cool beer worked on an 'honesty sheet'. This made sitting so watching a large TV [if you wanted to] or chatting so much more comfortable than in your cottage room. We cannot rate this property, Heather and her staff highly enough. There are also large group rates too.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Die Unterkunft war über Google Maps Koordinaten gut zu finden. Abgelegene kleine Häuschen umgeben von Natur und Schafen mit einem tollen Blick aufs Meer. Im Haupthaus sehr gemütlich eingerichteter Aufenthaltsraum und Frühstücksraum. Das Frühstück war frisch gekocht und sehr lecker, dazu Müsli und Orangensaft. Alles war sehr nett angerichtet und Heather ist eine super nette Persönlichkeit. Das Zimmer und Bad war ordentlich und sauber, im Zimmer befand sich alles, was wir brauchten. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus vorhanden.
Abendessen sollte man vorher einplanen, da der nächste Ort etwas entfernt liegt.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026Imagine a warm, inviting house with a fireplace, located at the end of the world, surrounded by rocks, grass, sheep and ocean - that is exactly what the Fisherman’s Village is. The hosts are very friendly and understanding - as we came very late, we received detailed instructions along with the keys and in the morning, we received a delicious breakfast. The only thing I would change is the length of our stay - our stay there simply too short!

Logement basique : la tête de lit n'est pas attachée et fait du bruit. Absence de produit de douche et shampooing. Uniquement un savon. Salle de bain vieillotte avec de la rouille sur les barres pour se tenir. Confiture industrielle en petites barquettes pour le petit-déjeuner continental. Fruits peu engageants dans une corbeille. Heure du petit-déjeuner à 9 heures, c'est tardif pour une si belle région à visiter même si on a pu négocier 8.30.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Heather so sehr genossen, dass wir gleich noch eine Nacht verlängert haben :) Das Frühstück war frisch gekocht und sehr lecker, Heather ist sehr gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend und alles ist sehr sauber und herzig eingerichtet!

Meravigliosa colazione con vista baia. Camera molto grande. Vicinissima ad una delle spiagge più belle del donegal, murder hole beach. Ci tornerò sicuramente.
