Ella Black Bridge Grand View Cottage Sri Lanka

The view is magnificent! It is a little out of the center of Ella, but we wanted it that way, since we wanted less of a party environment. It's very quiet in the mornings - you can hear all the nature sounds. The beds were very comfortable. The hosts were super kind and accommodating. The breakfasts were very good!

Prachtig gelegen, zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse. Lekker eten. Zorgde ook voor heerlijk meeneem ontbijt midden in nacht.

Место, где хочется осуществлять всего два действия: сидеть и залипать на окружающую природу или танцевать. А что стоит распитие кофе в подступающих облаках. Шум водопада, проходящий внизу поезд. Вкусная еда. И уже не хочется идти в Эллу по железной дороге с замечательными видами. Замечательное, душевное место.

Это замечательное место с очень доброй семьей, каждый день кормили завтраками к обозначенному времени. Помогли с байками, с тук туком. Поздравили меня с днем рождения, шарики , тортик, это так приятно было, я не ожидала. Ощущение праздника. Что касается жилья , там так красиво хорошо и спокойно, что мы продлили наше пребывание. С этого места удобно идти на трекинг на Элла рок (3-4 часа туда-обратно), на водопад, который прям под домом, либо на гору напротив (небольшой трекинг) , так же рядом в 5 мин жд станция китаэлла. До города по жд путям можно дойти за 20-30 мин. Либо доехать на тук туке. ЖИлье находится в приличном отдалении от города, Это его плюс и минус . До малого пика Адама и 9 арочного моста пришлось ехать. Но честно говоря, когда под боком один из самых лучших трекингов Эллы, воспользуетесь им. И Очень удобно там перемещаться на байках. Я очень полюбила это место, и если когда то вернусь в Эллу, то обязательно сюда! Спасибо большое за ваше гостеприимство! Так же у них есть большое меню, и кроме завтрака (который включен в стоимость) вы можете заказывать обеды и ужины. Сервис на высоте! Желаю процветания! .

На фото был гамак, и я очень на него рассчитывала, я люблю лежать в гамаке. а в реальности гамака не было. Я надеюсь его починят. Одна Дверь шкафа не открывалась, и мы не смогли полностью разложить свои вещи, что создало неудобства . Мы были в4ром, 2 мамы 2 детей, и это максимальное число чел, чтоб было комфортно. Для 6рых думаю будет тесновато. Лучше для одной семьи

The location is perfect to watch the Ella black bridge & the host is very good. We had a nice welcome with a delicious breakfast. Room is spacious, comfortable & clean. Also the location is just one minute from the Kithal Ella Train Station.Highly recomended on this place 💐💓🇱🇰

Leggermente fuori mano rispetto a Ella, ma la posizione garantisce tranquillità.

Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Abendessen war köstlich und frisch gekocht, das Frühstück abwechslungsreich und lecker. Zimmer und Betten waren sauber und sehr bequem. Außerdem war sie jederzeit hilfsbereit – wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Wir haben als vierköpfige Familie vier ruhige Nächte verbracht und haben die Aussicht von der wunderbaren Terrasse sehr genossen. Unser Gastgeber waren sehr sehr freundlich und haben uns zum Abschied ein Bild geschenkt.

Did not like anything.

This property has been misrepresented in the photos. It is difficult to get to with no road and we had to walk with our bags a fair bit to get to the property. It is NOT safe for children. We got badly bitten by bed bugs. Horrible horrible experience. We left the next morning even though we had booked for two nights.

This place is a dream, it felt so calm and serene, incredible view and totally private, with great WiFi and a lovely host who could bring food and drink when needed. It’s a little further out and involved a scooter or grab to get there but it’s worth it for the setting.

Inside isn’t luxurious but perfectly comfy. Evenings outside with the lights and view felt romantic and super cute. Would def be nice for a couple 🙂

Our stay at Ella Black Bridge View Cottage was unforgettable. The highlight was definitely the view — you can watch the train go over the bridge while sipping tea. The room was clean, with a very comfortable bed and hot shower. quiet at night. We loved having breakfast while watching the sunrise.” The breakfast was homemade and delicious. Large clean comfortable space and large clean bathroom, with so many homey touches. The pictures are accurate. The view is amazing and so is the host. Great water pressure and hot! Peaceful, quiet, and private. There is a towel rack, lockable wardrobe cabinet and lockable drawers. Tv - never used. Nice pillows. Comfortable bed. Mosquito net - never needed. I sat out every night and had no issues with mosquitos. Fan - never used. Excellent WiFi. Host is always fast and easily reachable. Private porch and gardens are away from the hosts view. You have your own building. Host building is far enough away and they don’t have a view of the porch or inside. BEAUTIFUL, huge floor to ceiling window. Meals served on fine china with breath taking views. So relaxing. Fresh clean air!!! The mornings are warm and sunny, and the nights cool off for enjoyable evenings and sleeping. All around amazing stay and experience. I am so blessed to have had the chance to stay here. You can tell the host takes great pride in the way she keeps the cottage. Delicious breakfast (included in price) and dinner at very reasonable prices, much better than in town. It was nice to come back after a day of exploring and have a delicious meal prepared. She even did my laundry. Got it back same day washed/dried and ironed. Kindness most peaceful and gentle host with the warmest most welcoming smile. She spoils you and showers you with such gratitude!!! So welcoming and refreshing! She will even go into town for you, and get anything you need - just ask. Accommodating in every way. Too many good things to even list it all. I didn’t want to leave. After booking one night, I had to come back and stay 3 more nights for a total of 4. It’s just that relaxing. Host also graciously accommodated my last minute booking. I was in town and booked at 5:15 pm, and drove right over. The place was clean and ready. Blessings with gratitude. 🙏

Very comfortable separate house with a great view and all facilities. It is a perfect place to relax on weekends, enjoy the silence and beautiful nature. The owner is very nice and helpful young lady and she cooked for us tasty breakfasts. We totally felt at home in this place.

The location is not close to the central street of Ella but it’s not a problem if you have your own bike or ready to take tuk tuk

This is our second visit to this recently opened cottage. It was easy to locate using Google Maps and has a secure, free parking area. It is a lovely place to relax and stay. Although we traveled as a couple, there were two comfortable large beds that could also accommodate a family. You can order delicious food from the cottage owner, who prepares it for you. The place is impeccably clean, giving you a sense of being at home. The owner is very kind and helpful, and the location offers beautiful scenery, with a view of the black bridge on the Kital Ella railway track.

This place is a hidden gem in the mountains for nature lovers away from busy Ella. There is a beautiful view, also on the famous train, very quiet and private. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. The cottage has two big comfy beds. Highly recommended. You need a car or take a tuktuk to come there.

Really nice private getaway if you want to have alone time. Amazing view and very nice hosts. They were helping with everything and super kind. Food was prepared for us and tea served. So it was truly nice experience!

It was little bit difficult to find the road, but luckily the people around were very helpful. Better to ask the hosts meet you on the bigger road before going the first time. Hosts do not speak English very well yet, but they are learning so this is a good thing. And having google translate with you if you don't have anyone speaking Sinhala, is a good idea. Room heating I didn't see, but they have blankets. In the night time it can get a little bit cold in Ella, so bring your warm clothes and shoes!

It was simply an amazing experience. We had a wonderful time at the property, gorgeous private villa, beautiful location, gorgeous views and amazing hosts. The villa is spacious, newly built, clean and fully equipped. Highly recommend.
