Kleine, aber saubere und gut ausgestattete Zimmer. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Das Restaurant war auch sehr gut. Gerne wieder.

Gyönyörű panoráma, a szállodai szobánk közvetlenül a tengerre nézett. A hotel hangulatos, autentikus, az elhelyezkedése tökéletes. A szobánk berendezése, szép volt. Finom skót reggelit kaptunk.

A szobák hangszigetelése sajnos nem a legjobb.

The location, our sea view room, the food in the restaurant, and the staff were all great. We liked the vibe which is a little funky/quirky. We also liked the size of the property - a small hotel.

There’s nothing we didn’t like but the property is a little tired.

When it came to food and drink we were blown away with the quality and taste. All of the staff were great and couldn't have been nicer if they tried.

On opening our bedroom door we were taken back by the size of the room. (Very Small). It had a number of bad points. Our window looked out onto a flat felted roof which was strewn with tools for cleaning the roof, then there was the large noisy extractor fan from the kitchen which ran from the crack of dawn to when the kitchens finished at night. The reception on the TV was very poor which meant that the picture was distorted on most of the channels. Our bathroom wasn't great, it had two lights in the ceiling and one didn't work which made it very dark, then there was the missing chrome plug which meant that you couldn't fill the tiny sink. Wall paper in the room and bathroom was peeling in a number of places which could easily be rectified.

The breakfast was 1st class and the location made it easy to find.

La struttura nel complesso è semplice, ma la camera con vista era graziosa e delle dimensioni giuste. Qualche piccola attenzione in più alla pulizia sarebbe stata gradita. Nel complesso, comunque, una buona esperienza e un soggiorno piacevole. Colazione in pieno stile scozzese.

Everything about our stay was fantastic, the room was beautiful and spotless, our Seaview was amazing we spent many hours just sitting watching the sea. From nikki on reception to the lady who served us our breakfast( didn't get her name) and Mike and ben at the bar, we were made to feel really welcome. All the staff were lovely. The breakfasts were delicious and we had dinner one night in the restaurant which was superb, the atmosphere in the bar/restaurant was always great. Would definitely return and would recommend to others going to stonehaven.

Leuk hotel en bar waar je prima kunt eten en aardig personeel. Ons uitzicht op zee was wat beperkt maar we konden de zee zien. Restaurant is enkel in het weekend open maar pub food komt uit dezelfde keuken

We zaten in een van de eerste kamers op de gang en kijk je tegen ander pand aan, we waren op doorreis voor 1 nachtje dus geen probleem!

Zimmertür konnte nicht richtig geöffnet werden, es hat extrem muffig gerochen und alles war schmuddelig. Das Bild oben entspricht nicht dem "Hotel"

Can't beat the location, right in front of the beach and sea! The staff were lovely and friendly, our room w(with sea view) had an incredible vista! The bed was super comfy, and the breakfast was INCREDIBLE value, and very, very tasty. Very happy we stayed!

It was well located. The pub had a good well-priced menu. Staff was lovely.

Beds were saggy. I slept well enough but the mattress wasn’t good enough for my 6’4” husband who has a bad back. It was comfy for me!

Stonehaven is a small city, highly hyped mostly due to Dunnotar castle (NB! actually just some ruins in a beautiful location) and a picturesque port... nothing much more. The port is actually far from the Hotel 44 (that I did not expect carelessly checking the map). We arrived by train, as it was suggested by AI... again: a small beautiful place, but the distance from the station to the hotel is quite long, especially with some luggage. (My suggestion: take the bus from Aberdeen or elsewhere, cheaper and comfortable EMBER, in particular - it takes you to directly to the Market square next to Hotel 44). Well, about the hotel: there is nobody usually in the reception desk. Waiting there is useless; ask from the bar. Two rooms, really have a stunning wide sea view, others not. (We could observe a bit of the sea only during high tide from our window. The roof that covered most of the view demonstrated interesting lively wild social life of different birds around the clock. There are different people in the breakfast room every day i.e. most of visitors stay in this hotel for one night only. - Small rooms do not provide space or furniture for organizing your personal stuff, no place to put away a suitcase. There are no racks to hang used towels... apparently that's the norm here: you arrive (with no luggage), spend a night, leave used towels on the floor and leave. - No.44 hotel is perfect for this kind of visits, not for a comfortable longer stay. Bar and restaurant next-door is very popular and busy. I was impressed by the number of restaurant staff they hire for one evening shift and all together: we spent 3 nights i.e. 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners and did not see any of the bar tenders or waiters more than once (with one exception).

Wir hatten ein grosses Luxus Zimmer mit Aussicht direkt aufs Meer. Wir konnten bequem am Fenster sitzen und den Wellen zuschauen.

Beim CheckIn waren unsere Zimmer noch nicht bereit. Wir wurden gebeten, in der Bar zu warten. Leider wurden wir noch informiert, als das Zimmer bezugsfertig war. Badewanne war etwas klein.

The staff were excellent , especially the charming girl serving breakfast on Sunday 23rd August. The breakfast was good. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and welcoming .

The decor in the hotel needs freshened up. It is very dark and dowdy . The room No20 was very small and looked on to a rather shabby roof , although you could see the sea. The bar and reception are very shabby.

Non molto sinceramente! Ci avevano dato la camera con vista mare e i vetri delle finestre erano sporchissimi! Camera molto piccola, lavandino piccolissimo, moquette molto sporca. Colazione, alla carta, abbastanza buona.

Tiny room (it was described as snug). Lots of fruit flies in restaurant and reception. Reception only open 9-5, or ten past nine when the receptionist gets in. Room needed improvements, water stain on roof, peeling wallpaper, bit of mould in shower. Tiny sink awkward due to shelf over it. Bed very uncomfortable. Tv didn't work. Food not very nice (apart from the Cullen skink).

The room's view was Amazing!

Location is perfect in centre of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was very very noisy. The walls are so thin and you can virtually hear your neighbours talking to each other. I was very tired due to lack of sleep. Lots of tourists and large parties were staying. The doors are spring loaded so they slam shut. People were shouting, knocking on other people’s doors at 6.00am and talking very loudly. Signs need to be made to advise people to be quiet and considerate in the hallway where the bedrooms are.

De kamer was eenvoudig maar schoon. We hadden uitzicht op het water dat was wel leuk. Personeel was vriendelijk.

Het ontbijt viel wat tegen. Het duurde erg lang voordat we het kregen ook al waren we de enige gasten op dat moment. De koffie was verschrikkelijk. Het eten zelf was niet bijzonder. Daar kan og wel wat aan verbeterd worden.

Sehr gemütlicher Pub mit leckerem Essen und nettem Personal. Zentrale Lage.

Leider roch das Zimmer etwas muffig und die Ausstattung ist in die Jahre gekommen.

Das Hotel liegt direkt in der Mitte des Dorfes und fast direkt am Meer. Auf der anderen Straßenseite befindet sich ein großer Parkplatz, auf dem man gut Tag und Nacht (Gebühr max. 7 Pfd. für einen Tag) parken kann. Es handelt sich um ein altes Haus, das etwas morbiden Charme hat, dabei gut gepflegt ist. Unser Zimmer (ich war mit meiner Schwester unterwegs) hatte einen schönen Ausblick auf das Meer (vgl. Foto). Ja, man sieht auch den heruntergekommenen Hof und ein Blechdach ... wir haben halt aufs Meer geschaut. Das Personal ist supernett, das Frühstück reichhaltig und gut. Das Restaurant ist gut, die Bar abends ist sehr gut besucht und hat richtig tolles Flair, weil Einheimische gern dorthin gehen. Die Zimmer bekommen davon überhaupt keinen Lärm ab.

Alles ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wer also ein Zimmer, Bad, Schrank, Fenster und Teppichboden in tip-top-Zustand haben möchte, ist hier nicht richtig. Wem sauber, sicher und freundlich reicht, ist hier genau richtig.

Booked in for a meal as a family reunion, meal was at 3 but couldn’t get washed and dressed for it in our room due to the late check in time. Room 15 the bed needs replacing one side was more like a hammock( side closest to the door)

Nettes kleines Hotel in einem schönen Ort direkt am Strand. Besonders gefallen hat uns der fantastische Ausblick. Gut geeignet für Spaziergänge, Strandaufenthalte und für eine wunderbare Wanderung oben auf den Felsen der faszinierenden Steilküste bis zum wirklichen beeindruckenden und sehenswerten Dunnottar Castle.

Camera pulita, un pochino stretta ma negli standard della Gran Bretagna. Ottima posizione in quanto dalla parte opposta della strada c'è un parcheggio (anche se a pagamento). Li vicino c'è un piccolo supermercato. Noi avevamo la colazione compresa.

Forse camera un po' piccola.

La vue de la chambre était horrible. Pas de parterre pour accrocher les serviettes, linge de lit tâché de bain, carreaux de la salle d'eau décollés,état négligé. Aucune place pour ouvrir les valises.

La colazione...solo tradizionale scozzese...non si può mangiare! Troppo poca scelta, non esiste l' espresso ...

Un soggiorno davvero piacevole! L’hotel è accogliente e ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio. Il personale è stato sempre sorridente, gentile e disponibile. Le camere non sono grandi, ma sono curate, pulite e molto confortevoli, con tutto il necessario per un soggiorno rilassante.

La proximité du chateau sur sa falaise et la proximité de la mer.

Was very basic, no shelf in toilet for your own tolietries, no dresser or mirror in room to do hair, it was very awkward to try and straighten hair with the long mirror and chair provided and where it was positioned in the room. Fotos of the rooms were very deceiving of how lovely they looked and there was no live entertainment that was stated when booked up.
