The Red House Fredericton

Séjour enchanteur dans ce bed and breakfast. Nous avions un petit appartement au deuxième étage de l’annexe avec une grande chambre, salle de bain, petite cuisine et coin détente. Il y avait plusieurs petites attentions dans la chambre, dont des gâteries pour notre chien qui nous accompagnait. La maison était magnifique. Les hôtes charmants. Stationnement sur la propriété. L’emplacement idéal, à 10 minutes de marche du bord de l’eau. Il y avait aussi un chargeur J1772 pour voiture électrique. Je recommande de sélectionner l’option avec petit déjeuner. Tout était délicieux et servi avec soin dans de la belle vaisselle vintage. La doudou sur la photo du lit était la mienne, puisque j’en apporte toujours une au cas où mon chien décide de mettre ses pattes sur le lit pour nous réveiller.

Monica was a lovely host and really made us feel welcome. The rooms was impeccable and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely return.

This was a return visit to the Red House for my husband and I. This time we stayed in the little self-contained apartment. It is a great location for walking to many of the restaurants, the river and the market. John and Monica are excellent hosts with lots of suggestions of places to visit.

A warm welcome from Monica on arrival gave us all the information we required about our stay and the local area, the house itself was easy to find with parking in a private car park. Easy walking distance into town gave an opportunity to test out the brewery trail, and find some food, where there were plenty of choices. A lovely breakfast welcomed us in the morning expertly prepared by John, thankyou to both of you for a lovely stay.

The house had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Fredericton is a small town overall, but the house is in a great location, and I was able to walk everywhere. The hosts were very attentive and friendly.

The host went above and beyond the norm. We were greeted on arrival with a glass of prosecco and made to feel very welcome. We were provided with loads of information about Fredericton, what to see and do, where to eat etc and when the host found out it was my husband's birthday they sang happy birthday and lit a candle at breakfast. Location was excellent, right in a quiet location more or less in the centre of the town.

The whole facility was excellent. Beautiful comfortable home that is well appointed. The owners were delightful, friendly and very helpful about Fredericton. The bedroom was comfortable and inviting & the breakfast was outstanding! We will definitely try to be back. The stay at the The Red House was worth the visit to Fredericton alone!!

The breakfast of homemade waffles and fresh fruit was delicious! Out stay was perfect in every way. We appreciated all of the suggestions you gave us for dinner, pre-dinner and the art museum after diner. Your kindness and attention to detail made our stay delightful! Our room was very comfortable and attractively decorated. The bathroom was exceptional. Thank you so much!

Monica and John were the kindest, friendliest hosts. We arrived from many hours of driving and the warm welcome was just what we needed to relax and unwind. The suite was clean, cozy and luxurious. I mostly appreciated the rich history pertaining to The Red House, the D’Arcy family and the beautiful vintage memorabilia.

I have nothing but positive comments about our stay! The house itself felt like stepping into a novel. The rooms were modern and comfortable with the charm of original furnishings. Our hosts were incredibly diligent and generous. Breakfast was wonderful. I would visit Fredericton again just to stay here.

Breakfast was delicious and they were flexible with changes. Time for breakfast was up to me. Hosts were amazing, helpful and very knowledgeable on places to visit. Bathroom was amazing, room was cozy. Everything was perfect.

Nothing really. But the driveway is gravel so it can be tricky if you have a heavy suitcase, but the host was there to help me with my bags, so this was a non issue for me.

The property was absolutely beautiful, well kept, and the trees were stunning. lilacs were in full bloom and smelt amazing. The hosts were sweet and kind, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this location!

My stay was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described in the listing. The location was ideal—close to everything needed, yet quiet and peaceful at night. My host (Monica) was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. Thoughtful touches like fresh towels, a well-equipped kitchen, and even a few local recommendations made my experience even better. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

Great location, easy walk into town to sites and restaurants while still being in a quiet neighborhood

The suite is great for stays of several days, with kitchenette amenities and a comfy sitting area with TV. Parking is right outside the door. Downtown Fredericton is steps away. We enjoyed breakfast in the breakfast room several times, giving us the opportunity to get to know the hosts a bit, appreciate the gracious period home and learn about the history of the house and families.

Hosts were excellent and very welcoming. The studio was warm, comfortable, and is in a great location. In walking distance to large grocery store, downtown, farmers market, etc.

The Welcome by Monica and John was tops. The room well appointed. You can see that a lot of thinking and planning went into making this B&B truly remarkable. It is like staying at home, very comfortable.

Well decorated and stocked. Excellent location walkable to the farmers market and other downtown locations. Charming. Lovely host. Delicious local potato chips.

A couple dust bunnies in the corner and toiletries could have been more filled (shower gel). Very minor grievances hardly worth mentioning.

Very quiet. Nice to have a separate suite. Bed was VERY comfortable. Very clean. Owners very pleasant and welcoming (us AND our dogs).

Both Monica and John are simply fantastic hosts ! They take the time to welcome us, explain the city, the whereabouts, the ongoing activities, etc… they are full of information about the historic areas… and also latest new pubs or best rental shops - this was just great.

It was clean, comfortable, and well located. The inn keepers were friendly. and were very helpful. Our room was well appointed and the food was great for breakfast.

This is an amazing place. It is run by a husband and wife and they are incredible. Breakfasts were superb. We were offered little extras when we arrived back at the end of the day - such a nice thing to do. The local knowledge of the owners was extremely helpful to us as we did not know Fredericton. The location was an easy walk to downtown and the river. The attention to detail in every aspect of the rooms and the property in general is quite remarkable. Highly recommend ! Will definitely try and book again if we are in the area.

Stayed here while traveling on business; beautifully restored nineteenth century home. I ‘love already booked a second stay in January 2024 for my mother and my husband. Cannot wait to spend time in the sitting room with them!

Honestly I can not think of anything - John and Monica are the perfect hosts. It’s amazing how they are sharing their family home with travelers in a truly generous maritime way. I love the Maritimes.
