We had a wonderful stay in this peaceful place near Ubud. It’s quiet, relaxing, and feels like a true escape from the busy areas. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming, kind, and caring, and went out of their way to help us with everything we needed. The hospitality really made our stay special. And the breakfast was hearty, fresh, and delicious— the lovely chef even made a vegan option for my wife! Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful place, great hospitality, and a warm, personal experience near Ubud. We would happily stay here again!

Thieves ans liars!!!! Beware!!! The pictures and description are nothing like the reality!! They stole my money and insulted me!! I originally booked a room for 9 nights based on the description, and paid fully, but i was disappointed to find out the room is situated in the middle of the kitchen/common area, with no noise filtration, you could hear EVERYTHING, and have no privacy at all. When i complained to the manager, kadek, on WhatsApp, he told me that i should've booked a private villa if i wanted privacy (see screenshots). Shocked by this, i asked for a refund in order to leave but he insulted me and blocked me instead. The woman in charge of refunds, Fatina, was extremely dismissive and unhelpful, hanging up on me, not replying for hours, telling me to not text her in the evening and then telling me she was busy all evening with other guests ... and couldn't give me any real solution, just kept acting af is she didn't understand me and ignoring my request. The number of the property on booking.com was unreachable, and couldn't talk to anyone in a proper way to request the refund or find a suitable solution for me. I came all the way from morocco and have limited time and budget. In the following morning, i was woken up really early by loud noises from the kitchen, as i feared, then extremely loud noises from upstairs (furniture moving around), which i recorded on my phone as proof. Fatina kept dismissing my noise complaint and told me they agreed on a 50% refund, but the refund wasn't applied in reality because they refused my cancel request on booking.com and left me stuck, unable to ask for it again. They lied about giving me the refund so to get me out and keep the money from 9 nights.. thieves and liars! I have never been treated this badly by hospitality people, so unprofessional and disrespectful... what a scam! So, if you're looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not it.

Nice Villa. Clean and new rooms. The manager is really kind and response quickly for everything. They rent also scooter for cheap price and can settle up transfer to other hotel.

Beautiful location in the hills outside of the main area of Ubud. I was shown around on arrival by a lovely lady and the room was huge with an incredible balcony. I had Wifi issues at the beginning and upon letting the staff know, the property manager personally came to resolve it and had it up and running quickly. The pool was amazing to relax in and just shaded enough from the sun. Delicious breakfast cooked by the same wonderful lady who met me upon check in. For what you get, the value is incredible. I will definitely choose to stay here again if I come back to Bali!!

Eine schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Service von Urip. Urip hat uns jeden Morgen ein tolles Frühstück zubereitet und war auch sonst sehr nett. Die Villa bietet 3 Doppelzimmer und die Einrichtungen werden zusammen genutzt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Struttura lontana dal caos di Ubud, si trova in un villaggio tradizionale, immersa nel verde e con sottofondo costante di animali (galli e gechi) ma con dei tappi nelle orecchie si risolve tutto per la notte. L’accoglienza è straordinaria, tutte le persone che abitano nei dintorni vi saluteranno sempre con il sorriso. La proprietaria è un amore, asseconderà ogni vostra richiesta e la sua gentilezza vi conquisterà. La colazione ottima, preparata da lei all’orario da voi richiesto, e vi è la possibilità di tre varianti. È possibile avere il servizio lavanderia a pagamento. Se lo richiedete la proprietaria pulirà le camere e vi fornirà nuovi asciugami, anche per usufruire della magnifica piscina. Le camere sono moderne, ampie, pulite, dotate di terrazzino, ampia doccia, ampio spazio per le valigie e sono presenti shampoo e bagno schiuma. Aria condizionata top.

Unica piccolissima osservazione il phon: la camera non era dotata di un phon per asciugare i capelli, quando lo abbiamo richiesto la proprietaria ha provveduto ad acquistarlo ma purtroppo la potenza era insufficiente per asciugare i capelli di qualunque lunghezza. Consiglio: acquistatene uno più potente per soddisfare le esigenze di tutti i clienti.

La villa est magnifique, les chambres sont spacieuses et propres avec une grande terrasse, le petit déjeuner est très bon. La piscine est agréable. La dame qui s’occupe de la villa est très sympa, on a eu un très bon accueil. L’emplacement est au calme, un peu à l’écart. Tout était parfait !

룸 전체가 깨끗하고 여사장님과 가족들이 친절하고 논길 산책을 가이드 해 주셨어요.아침마다 원하는 시간에 식사와 차를 준비 해 주셨어요. 침구들이 모두 정말 깨끗하고 부모님들도 항상 친절이 대해주셔서 고향에 부모님을 생각나게 했어요.

푹~산속에서 쉬려고 했는데 식사 할곳이 한곳밖에 없고 가게도 완전 현지인만가는 곳으로 시내를 나오지 않으면 식사준비가 어려워요.다른 교통수단을 이용하지 않으면 동네를 다니기 불편했어요.

The staff were so lovely and accommodating, breakfasts were lovely. Wonderful peaceful location. Huge room and bathroom, wonderful balcony with great views. The family that lives near the villa is so friendly and generous.

Everything was perfect

Fue nuestra casa por 4 dias en Ubud. Tanto el propietario como su socia son una maravilla. Nos facilitaron todo lo que necesitamos de una forma rapidisima. Estuvimos muy comodos, gran habitacion, grandes vistas desde el balcon……y que gran cocinera!! No olvidaremos los pancakes de banana. Muchas gracias!!

El alojamiento es super bonito y esta ubicado en una zona tranquila cerca de ubud, huyendo del caos y con vistas preciosas. Esta dentro de la casa y del templo de los propietarios que son todos encantadores, y que en todo momento estuvieron dispuestos a ayudarnos, facilitándonos el alquiler de la moto y com buenas recomendaciones. El desayuno estaba muy bueno. Fue uno de nuestros mejores alojamientos del viaje.

Excellent accommodation with spacious rooms and a big swimming pool. Everything is perfectly clean. The room is spacious, you can close the curtains to sleep longer. There is a wardrobe to arrange your clothes. The bed is very large and comfy. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They invite you to local cultural events like weddings and are happy to share their traditions with you if you are interested. The breakfast is delicious and very healthy. Room service is wonderful. They support you in everything. I kept prolonging my stay and will come back in the future. There is good and reliable internet/ wifi if you want to work online. The garden is well maintained. If you love animals, there are 2 cats close by. You can play with them. The scooter ride to Ubud city center takes 15 minutes through a beautiful landscape of rice fields. You have some restaurants in walking distance nearby. I was very happy and felt at home during my stay. Safety is provided, the villa is in a small village and you can lock your room and the balcony.

Todo. Es como una host-house apartada de la casa principal donde vive una familia con tradiciones balinesas. La familia es encantadora, cuidaron muy bien de nosotro. Buscábamos algo apartado del bullicio y esta villa fue todo un acierto (eso sí, importante disponer de una moto). Se encuentra en una urbanización pequeña llena de locales a solo 15’ en moto de Ubud centro. Las opciones de desayuno son buenísimas y riquísimas, la señora que lo prepara lo hace con muchísimo cariño. La zona jardín y piscina es preciosa, y la habitación grande y espaciosa. Si tuviese que volver a Bali, volvería a escogerles.

Super nettes Personal, die Familie die dort lebt auch sehr sehr Gastfreundlich und nett man fühlt sich da aufgenommen und wie ZuHause. Die Ausstattung reicht vollkommen und die Atmosphäre ist sehr harmonisch. Auch bei Fragen oder Reisetipps sind die Menschen sehr hilfsbereit und auch engagiert.

The room was very spacious and we loved everything in the villa. The breakfast was delicious. We rented also the scooter which you will need to get around since the accommodation is 15min from the centre of Ubud.

Kadek and his family are really nice and share their Balinese life style and culture. I enjoyed my stay. Always helpful to find a solution. 🙏

Nuestra estancia ha sido maravillosa, el staff De la Villa son súper atentos súper educados, te contestan por WhatsApp casi al momento y te resuelven todas las dudas que tengas y más. Es un sitio muy auténtico y acogedor, la villa está como dentro de un templo con más casas donde vive una familia y son adorables, hay una abuelita que sabía que nos íbamos nuestro último día y nos ha regalado fruta. El precio en comparación con lo que es la villa es de 10, una estancia súper privada con una habitación sencilla pero perfecta y la parte del jardín es maravillosa. Solo tengo buenas palabras, aunque si es cierto que esta alejado del centro de ubud, nada que con un grab de 20 minutos no se arregle, lo volvería a coger 1000 veces.

I came as a solo traveller in the beginning and my friend joined me later. It is useful to know that the building is in the backyard of a traditional house. As I arrived alone and fairly late, the experience made me feel a bit uneasy. The building has 3 rooms only and felt a bit eery in the beginning as there is no reception and Kadek never actually introduced himself to me, I only saw a lady from time to time throughout the 6 days I stayed there. There are lots of roosters in the area and they make a lot of noise all day but I got used to them with time. My biggest problem however were the stray dogs that are in the street. If you are out after sunset, I recommend having a torch as the streetlights are very faint and on some parts of the street, non-existant. On one evening, I got surrounded by the dogs while walking to the nearby restaurant in the dark and almost got attacked. At least 4 of them were growling and barking at me while inching towards me. I managed to get away after shouting at them but it was a scary experience as I was alone. The location was tricky in terms of getting a taxi too, often nobody came as it is too far out for the drivers. Kadek does have a driver who is helpful but unfortunately he charges quite a bit more than others. All in all, I would say that this location is the best if you know how to ride a scooter and do not depend on the taxi drivers and like that, you can avoid wondering the dark streets on foot.

The villa is amazing. People are kind, breakfasts and facilities were amazing. TV with Wi-Fi in the room is also a bonus. You can use the fridge and the kitchen. The location isn't convenient though, it's like passing through someone else's house before you reach it, so please don't be surprised. There's lots of dogs in the area too, so if you're afraid of them, forget about walking by foot.

The villa is really spacious and clean. Everything is in good condition and everything is working properly. It was the first stay where the quantity of towels was enough) And the kitchen is fully equipped and super clean, cooking there was a pleasure.

Lots of construction nearby( for me it's crucial. That was the only reason why we hadn't extended our stay. And one more unpleasant thing: the breakfast turned out to be not complimentary as it was stated

Amazing stay. Beautiful new guest house. Great rooms, great breakfast and fantastic service. Stayed for 16 nights and was super happy. It's 12 minutes drive on a scooter (which I hired at the place) so nice and quiet, which is just what I wanted. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

We really liked the villa! In this villa you can rent one of 3 rooms. The villa is new, located 15 minutes from the center of Ubud. The hostess is very friendly and cooks very tasty breakfasts. We asked to show how to cook Nasi Goreng, so that we could cook at home too. And in the morning, preparing breakfast for us, the hostess showed how to cook!! This is just wonderful, thank you very much for your hospitality ❤️

It was a little far from downtown Ubud but not too bad.

This property is AMAZING. As you arrive and walk in, you’re lead through a traditional household/area and you may be thinking “where am I going ?”. As you’re lead into the property, you’re greeted by a beautiful pool, and as you head inside, you can see that this property is very new. As far as value for money goes, I cannot be more grateful. We had 2 weeks here and felt as though we had found a rental that was our new home. The wifi is excellent so it made it easy to work, the kitchen is new (maybe needs a couple more cooking utensils), the room (we were downstairs) is HUGE and so is the bathroom, and so many seating areas and your own outdoor area to enjoy a quiet and private space.. it’s tucked away beautifully, about 12 mins from the centre of Ubud. So it’s quiet.. the staff, Uripp is the biggest sweetheart, ready to help with anything.. we really feel like we found a home here.

The smell because there are many animals around. You’re in the middle of a Balinese village area.. also if you’re sensitive to the sound of roosters, that’s a thing. But once we closed our room door it drowned out the sounds

Everything was amazing! The hosts were so lovely and the lady makes such delicious breakfast. Room was spacious and clean, as well as the bathroom. Swimming pool was a nice way to cool down after a hot day. Could not have asked for more. Amazing value for money. You can easily rent a scooter a drive to Ubud centre in about 15 min very easy.

Fantastic experience staying in Baran Swaha, the caretakers of the villa were very sweet and helpful and were supportive all the way through and made the stay a treat. Fantastic room and living spaces cleanliness at a high level and exceptional service. Beautiful location as well felt very local and with amazing views and greenery. Great pool and clean with nice temperature water and beautiful surroundings.

Kadek and Urip were so thoughtful and helpful throughout my stay and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. They helped me with information about the village and how to cut the local fruit. Kadek got me some items I needed and they fixed my laundry for me so I didn’t have to do it. They were really hospitable and easy to chat to. I loved the sun from both sides in the morning on the terrace and then in the morning and afternoon by the pool and then in the evening at the other side by the tables. It was great. Thank you for being so kind. I am sure we will meet again.

The perfect calm neighbourhood in the midst of greenery and authentic local atmosphere. The host, Kadek, helped us a lot: to rent a bike, organise hiking to Batur volcano and recommend restaurants. Awesome breakfasts. Just 15 mins away from Ubud downtown by motorcycle.

Nothing really:) apart from the distance from ubud. It’s better to have motorcycle or private driver. But you can aslo go by walk, it’s only 4,5 km nothing horible:).

This is new bulding, everything is clean and fresh. The house is very spacious and comfortable, pool does the job. The host is very friendly, he can arrange transport, trips around island and even laundry service.

This villa is elegant and beautifully designed. Kadek, a man, who looks after the villa is exceptionally polite and helpful, the cleaning team is diligent in their duties. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming. The villa features a lovely pool with a comfortable water temperature, and the balcony offers a wonderful view. Additionally, there is a nearby restaurant that serves excellent meals. I highly recommend this villa for a memorable vacation experience.
