Sehr freundliche, aber aufdringliche Gastgeberin.

Ruhige Lage, zimmer recht gross

Die gute alte Dame wollte mich direkt abziehen und mir ein Zimmer für 40€ mehr andrehen als gebucht, was ich ziemlich unverschämt fand. Außerdem steht wlan inklusive aber es gibt kein WiFi, muss man ebenfalls zahlen. Sie hat sich ebenso daran gestört, dass ich nicht für 10usd bei ihr gefrühstückt habe und auch kein Abendessen wollte. Im zimmer gibts ausser ein Bett so gut wie nix und dafür ist der preis viel zu hoch!!! Kein Mülleimer, kein Klopapier, nix zum hinsetzen ausser das Bett und außenbereich lädt nicht zum hinsetzen ein. Es ist kalt und es gibt kein warmes Wasser. Würde es für den Preis nicht nochmal buchen!

Nous avons aimé la chambre, l’emplacement de logement qui est assez proche du centre et du 9 arch bridge et nous avons aimé le petit déjeuner.

Nous n’avons pas appréciée que la dame ne nous ait pas rendu notre monnaie. Elle nous a dit qu’elle ne nous la rendrait pas car il fallait payer le service de vaisselle du matin. Essayer de payer la dame au compte juste afin d’éviter qu’elle vous vole. Car sur booking.com il n’est pas indiquer qu’on doit payer le service de vaiselle. De plus, nous lui avions dit que nous aimerions déjeuner à 8 h, mais sans nous prévenir, elle nous a préparé le petit-déjeuner beaucoup plus tôt et a frappé cinq fois à la porte pour nous réveillerà 7h15 car elle voulait que nous quittions le plus rapidement la chambre. Jamais il a été convenu de nous réveiller à 7h15 en sachant qu’on avait le bus à pour 11h15. Dernier point, il n'y a ni wifi et surtout ni eau chaude.

Mama ist eine sehr herzliche Person, die uns behandelt hat, als ob wir ihre eigenen Kinder wären. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie ist eine gute Köchin und hat uns mit einem tollen Frühstück verwöhnt.

Die Zimmer sehr einfach und etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Waren als 4 köpfige Familie 4 Nächte in Ellla. Extrem liebe ältere Dame die unglaublich herzlich ist. Selten sowas auf Reisen erlebt. Ihr Englisch ist logischerweise nicht so gut.... Deswegen ist teilweise die Verständigung nicht so leicht.... Aber das gehört halt zum Reisen dazu.und macht es spannend. Frühstück ist sehr gut und traditionelll. . Einmal wurden wir sogar auf ein köstliches Abendessen eingeladen! Sie geht extra einkaufen und kocht persönlich wie eine liebe Oma.... Abschied unter Tränen von ihr..... Wirklich so noch nicht erlebt auf Reisen. Sie liebt ihre Gäste..

Wenn frei die Balkonzimmer nehmen, sind wesentlich freundlicher und heller. Haben wir zu spät kapiert.

I think the best thing mama's cottage has to offer is the hygiene, our rooms and the place generally were very clean, the staff is one old woman called mama and she's a nice lady, breakfast was nice and you can also get laundry and stuff like that from the place, I also loved the location its close to both little adams peak and the nine arch bridge trails, I do recommend.

The rooms were basic.

Mama Cottage Ella – Sri Lanka I had a wonderful stay at Mama Cottage in Ella. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home right away. The location was peaceful yet close to the main attractions in Ella. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and a perfect start to the day. I would definitely recommend Mama Cottage to anyone visiting Ella!

mama harika bir insan çok cana yakın. bizi çok iyi karşıladı. meyve, bir tatlı ve çay ikram etti. burada iki gece daha kalabilirdik ancak daha önceden yaptığımız bir sonraki şehrin rezervasyonunu değiştiremediğimiz için malesef daha fazla konaklayamadık. mama bizi yolcu ederken yine meyve ve çay ikram etti kendisine minnettarız.

- Walking distance to the main part of Ella up a steep hill - Bedroom was clean and tidy and bed was comfy with a mosquito net. - Nice outside patio where breakfast was served. - Breakfast was basic - eggs and tea. - Laundry was possible next door at another Guesthouse owned by Mama’s daughter. - Accomodation was cheap compared to others we stayed at so I guess you get what you pay for.

- There was no hot water as the hot water is solar and it was overcast and cool while we were there. It is not pleasant coming back from from a hike and trying to have a freezing cold shower. - Mama’s English is very limited and this makes it difficult to communicate even with Google Translate. Mama did try hard to make our stay comfortable. - Wifi was rubbish although Mama did bring out the Wifi router to make it a little better.

Mama’s place is a clean and peaceful spot just a short walk away from the town and main attractions. The bed is comfy, the shower is warm and Mama makes a tasty breakfast! It’s a lovely spot that I highly recommend

I liked everything!

Only five minutes away from the main street where all the shops and cafes are.

The host was friendly but a little pushy and there were some misunderstandings concerning whether we wanted breakfast or not.

Super friendly Grandma. She took care of me like a child and cried upon me leaving. Very very very friendly.

It was all good.

Mama is an excellent cook and her breakfasts are likely to be the best thing you eat in sri lanka. I can recommend her cottage highly enough.
