Vicroad The Mount

Well located and easy walk to town and the beach. Ideal for up 3 friends (which was us) or families to stay. Comfortable and lots of space with good parking. Way better than booking a family unit at a motel.

No real complaints other than perhaps give the plants growing over the steps a bit of a trim :)

Perfect location. Had all amenities that you need. Quite and clean.

We loved the vibe of this cosy little home away from home. It was comfortable and it was a hop step and a jump from town and the beach.

Perfect for two friends getting away to The Mount for a weekend (or more) ,😉. It's in the middle of everything, walking distance to the boardwalk, the shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, absolutely wonderful.

No real problem for me, being short, but the single beds are the English-NZ, short single beds. Just be aware if you're taller than ~160cm and used to a normal sized adult single bed.

The apartment had the works, plenty of space and in a perfect location. It was easy to stay in and kept very clean.

The lighting was extremely dull. My husband had to get his headlamp out to wash the dishes in the evening, and we used our phone lights to cut vegetables.

Lighting in kitchen could do with being a bit brighter to see well while cooking, but minor annoyance only. Would not stop me from booking the place again, as everything else was great. Clean, comfortable and well fit out.

Lovely, comfortable space. Beautifully decorated. Well equipped. Loved the outside deck and lights outside, magical! We liked the boardgames too. Comfortable beds.

Great location, very close to everything you want to visit in Mt. Maunganui, including great dining options and shops. The property met our expectations, and a friendly host was a bonus. We would stay there again.

Beautiful place with a super outdoor deck oasis area. The host was above and beyond accommodating to our requests.

Hosts were fantastic and were very welcoming. Their place had great toys for kids and the location was excellent. Walking distance to all the restaurants, beaches on both sides of the peninsula and to the Mount. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Outdoor space was very nice and private as well.

No laundry, no dishwasher, and the only dining area other than a small coffee bar for 2 was outside.

Really lovely property, awesome location - though Google Maps sent us down a random lane and it was tricky to find in the dark and rain! But we got there in the end and it was very cosy, clean and comfortable. Beds super comfortable, and nice and warm. We thought the note about the unfriendly cat was hilarious 😄

The free wifi wasn't ideal, there was only a signal in a very specific spot so took a while to actually get connected, and then when we moved anywhere else the signal was either really weak or just dropped out.

The property was very clean. Bed was super comfy and the shower was amazing!

The house was tidy, comfortable, and full of warmth. The location was excellent—just a 5-minute walk to the town center and about 10 minutes to the foot of the mountains. The host was very kind and provided lots of sweet tips. They specifically warned us that the "cat seems friendly but not"— we might have been lucky enough to meet the adorable little cat on our way out!

Location - short walk to the shops and the beach/mount

No wifi at all in the bathroom, and it's mostly a miss in the living room. Wifi reaches other areas of the house. Our main issue was they were informed 4 days before our booking that there will be sewage works in the back of the house but we were only informed when we arrived. We couldn't use any water (tap, toilet, shower) from 8pm the whole time we were there. This meant we (with a baby) had to rush / cut our plans each night in order to go back an hour or two before 8 to prepare for dinner and have a shower before bed. If we had known about the water issue, we would have arranged for another rental but given we only knew when we arrived we had no choice but to just go along with the problem.

Location. Cleanliness. Great facilities. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed, even had complimentary food items, extremely thoughtful. Super dining area on the patio, if needed. Beds very comfortable with fresh modern bedding.. Would definitely look to stay again . Would recommend.

Not didn't like as we knew the 2nd bedroom was 2 singles, would have been nice to have 2 doubles.. We could have asked, I suppose.

I like how Raewyn came to meet us and see that we were all ok. Raewyn was very friendly and helpful. Vicroad is very central to Mount Maunganui restaurants, shops and the beach.

I could not improve their accommodation and service.

The WiFi reception was very hit and miss. When you had a WiFi connection the bandwidth was great, but there were various places in the apartment where there was no WiFi connection at all..

The location is great for what we wanted to do. The unit is beautifully furnished and the hosts added lots of lovely touches such as assorted spread, tea and coffee choices. Not to mention a wonderful surprise of a loaf of bread too!

It’s didn’t state that we would be under the owners and I didn’t like that it felt like we where me being watched and I had to park a the bottom of a hill and take me bags up to the house and I have a bad leg a could have parked closer but that was not available not event to unpack out belongs and we got here on dark so was not very impressed with this
