Angus was an amazing host — so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The villa was lovely and perfect for a romantic stay as a couple. It was peaceful, private and incredibly relaxing, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy some downtime in Ubud. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Astala Ubud Villa i to other couples looking for a relaxing and romantic getaway!

La piscina non ha bisogno di commenti parla da sola insieme alla vegetazione che la circonda .A rendere questa vacanza top , è stato il proprietario è la sua famiglia.Anguss è stato praticamente come un fratello,ci ha fatto conoscere Ubud in tutta la sua particolarità con tour organizzati uno più Bella dell’altro.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la gentillesse du personnel, la beauté de la villa traditionnelle avec piscine, le confort de la literie, le petit déjeuner apporté en chambre chaque matin à l’heure souhaitée. La localisation permet d’être à l’écart de l’agitation du centre ville d’Ubud dans un environnement calme et apaisant, mais reste très simple d’accès en grab (10-15mn)

Villa was beautiful and people were friendly.

There was construction next to the villa and we woke up to the noise every morning. Actually, we had booked a different villa first, but they warned us that there was construction next to it too, so we cancelled that one. This villa owner could have warned us the same way, but they didn’t. The electricity kept going on and off, and when it went out, the water stopped too. Also, the location was a bit far from the central areas, and the road in front of the hotel was very narrow for cars.

La villa è semplicemente meravigliosa, non ci sono altre parole per descriverla. Agus, il nostro disponibilissimo ospite, ci è venuto a prendere all'aeroporto a notte fonda e ci ha permesso di cominciare la nostra vacanza già da subito. La colazione eccezionale, preaparata con puntualità e fresca ogni mattina a scelta da un menu ben fornito, deliziosa, da scegliere la sera in anticipo e da comunicare ai proprietari per essere servita puntualmente all'ora concordata la mattina. La villa pulitissima, in perfetto stile balinese, bagno enorme e semplicemente meraviglioso e piscina senza paragoni. Le foto non le rendono giustizia! Se cercate qualcosa di caratteristico non potete fare scelta migliore. Assolutamente il miglior alloggio trovato in tutto il nostro viaggio di quasi tre settimane. Ristoranti eccezionali nelle vicinanze per cenare, uno dei quali è fra i migliori di tutta Bali, da raggiungere per ammirare uno splendido tramonto indonesiano. Peccato averci trascorso soltanto 4 notti, se dovessi tornare sarà la mia prima scelta! Grazie per aver reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile!

Assolutamente niente, penso che non ci sia niente da cambiare. E' una delle ville più belle e meravigliose di Ubud, anche se non propriamente in centro, raggiungibile comunque con Grab o Gojek.

The villa is beautiful, I think it looks better in person than on pictures. It had everything we needed and also filtered water to drink, which was really nice. The place is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is delicious, don't miss it. Agus was always available to answer any questions and was overall a wonderful host.

Host is enorm vriendelijk en altijd beschikbaar voor al je vragen! De kamer is zeer ruim en proper. De badkamer geeft een binnen-buitengevoel maar voldoet aan de verwachtingen!

Er stond een pot met koffie waar mieren in zaten, die waren ze bij de 1e opmerking vergeten weg te nemen. Het ontbijt is lekker maar de keuzes waren eerder beperkt.

Wonderful hosts and staff—kind and thoughtful. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but that's exactly what I liked: the quiet environment and all the beautiful plants around.

The bedsheets and towels had some persistent stains that seem hard to wash off.

Our stay at this villa in Ubud exceeded all expectations. The property is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The host, Agus, was absolutely exceptional. From the very beginning, he was attentive to every detail and always available to help. We arranged transportation with him, and everything was seamless: he picked us up at the airport, took us to all our excursions during our stay, and then drove us to our next destination. His recommendations for places to visit and where to eat were spot on and really enhanced our experience. His family, who also help manage the villa, were equally kind and welcoming. Their warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel completely at home. We 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Ubud — you won’t regret it.

If we had to mention one downside, it would simply be that we didn’t have more time to stay longer. We truly loved every moment t here and would come back without hesitation.

Privacy , private swimming pool in a private villa

Access from the main road and a little far from the main Ubud town and market. Seemed a little aloof. Didn’t realize it wasn’t a hotel and more of an Airbnb type private property. When it rains, access to the property was difficult , as the lane was water logged.

Проживали в отеле 2 ночи. Нам очень понравилось абсолютно всё. Ухоженная, вся в цветах территория, чистый бассейн. Дом и терраса новые, мебель новая. Очень вкусный завтрак по меню, с оригинальной подачей четко к обозначенному времени. У мужа был юбилей, его поздравили тортиком со свечами, очень очень приятно. Если приедем еще раз в Убуд, будем проживать в Astala однозначно!

Понравилось всё, но есть рекомендации: 1. В ванную комнату сделать крючки ( идеальный вариант приклеить камни, оригинально и вписались бы в интерьер) 2. Не хватало сушилки для полотенец бассейных и купальников)

Quiet, peaceful and very beautiful

A very clean and cozy villa with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. It’s a lovely place to relax, with a beautiful garden and no mosquitoes. The area is very clean and quiet, and it’s peaceful at night. The family is friendly and helpful—especially Agus—always there to make sure everything goes smoothly. The location is about a 10-minute drive from Ubud center. Breakfast was also very good.

Alles! De villa, het zwembad, de ligging en vooral Agus en de staff! Agus had massages geregeld dewelke de beste waren van de hele trip, regelde een trip naar de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden en zorgde dat we niets tekort kwamen. Op mijn verjaardag had hij zelf een verjaardagstaart voorzien! De ligging van de villa is net buiten het centrum in een rustig wijkje maar op 10 minuten sta je met de auto of brommer (taxi) voor een spotprijsje in het centrum. Wij raden deze villa zeker aan!

Die Unterkunft war im klassischen balinesischen Stil gehalten und dabei sehr charmant sowie geschmackvoll umgesetzt. Besonders der wunderschöne Garten mit dem Außenpool hat uns begeistert. Insgesamt hat uns wirklich alles gefallen. Augus (Besitzer) hat uns während unseres Aufenthalts hervorragend unterstützt und sich stets um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert – sei es bei der Anmietung eines Rollers, mit wertvollen Tipps oder auch beim Transfer zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft nach Sidemen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der persönliche, herzliche und authentische Service, den wir hier erfahren durften. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und waren in jeder Hinsicht sehr zufrieden.

Everything was good, from the service and facilities, particularly the private pool. I asked Agus, the owner, to arrange birthday cake for my wife and it was delivered amazingly. The surrounding environment is a traditional village which can take you to the past. By walking, you can see ricefield and a famous restaurant, Taman Dedari.

It was a bit challenge to find the place using google map as it was directed to different alley.

Kind of off the beating track, thought it would be a bit more of a peaceful area. Morning rooster will keep you respectful on your day

We loved the Villa. We chose this place for our honeymoon, and it was the best decision we could have made. The villa itself is BEAUTIFUL, they took care of every single detail, you will not miss a 5 star hotel because it has all the amenities, in the bathroom, the WiFi, the kitchen, they even have bottle water…everything made for you to feel the most comfortable. It is located in a narrow street in the best area, close enough to Ubud center but still in a very romantic, peaceful area with amazing restaurant next to it. The owner of the Villa and his family treated us like part of their home and that just levelled up the experience to another level. Always taking care of us, even invited us to join their holy day at their family temple…no other owner would do that. We have had wonderful memories here and we will recommend to our friends and family and hope we can come back soon! If you are hesitant about booking, take this as your sign! Thank you Astala family!

Bu güne kadar kaldığımız en iyi oteldi. Bizim Türkiye’de kendi otelimiz de var. Sürekli seyahat eden biri olarak söylüyorum mükemmel demek az kalır. Tesisin sahibi Agus Bey bize otel transferi hakkında yardımcı oldu. Havalimanda bizi 3 saat beklemiş o kadar nazik yardımsever bir insan. Ubud da turlarımızda onunla yaptık ve fiyat olarak çok dusuk fiyatlara yardımcı oldu. Sabah kahvaltısı tam damaktadımıza uygundu. Aksam yemeği sipariş ettik ve harika lezzetliydi. Villa çok temizdi ve hersey düşünülmüştü. Balayı için muhteşem bir seçim. Villa değil sanat eseri bence. Bir daha gelirsek kesinlikle burada konaklarız. Hersey için yardımcı oldular isterseniz tesiste masaj bile yaptırabilirsiniz. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. Sizi seviyoruz Astala ve Agus tekrar görüşmek üzere 🙏

Todo estuvo estupendo, agua y su familia son excelentes anfitriones, nos ayudaron con todo y nos hicieron sentir super cómodos. Gracias por esta semana maravillosa en esta estupenda villa!

Cały pobyt był wyjątkowo komfortowy. Od samego początku byliśmy rozpieszczani przez właściciela. Willa jest piękna,zadbana, obsługa bardzo dyskretna, nawet nie zauważyliśmy kiedy pojawiały się świeże ręczniki i wszystko było posprzątane. Codziennie dostawaliśmy pyszne śniadanie do willi. Basen był wspaniały. Właściciel willi oferował nam wszystkie kompleksowe wycieczki ze wspaniałym, miłym kierowcą znającym angielski. Dostaliśmy do pokoju nawet kokosy żebyśmy mogli się poczuć się bardziej komfortowo podczas odpoczynku. To rodzinny biznes i wszyscy starali się żebyśmy poczuli się częścią rodziny. Dziękujemy za wszelkie rady. Polecamy szczególnie na podróże poślubne. Z pewnością wrócimy 🙏

The house is amazing, very private, very quiet with your own pool. The bedroom and the bathroom are amazing. This property stays in a quiet location, amazing to rest in ubud in the middle of the nature. All the staff treated us like family.

The villa was super nice! Beautiful place with great decor and a lovely pool to relax by. The bed was really comfy too. The staff were super friendly and explained everything clearly. Communication was easy and quick. We had a great stay and would totally come back!

The room isn’t very soundproof, so you can hear some noise from outside. The neighborhood is super quiet, but you’ll still hear the chickens in the morning.

Amazing stay at Astala, the villa is so beautiful and clean, we did not see one mosquito at the villa for the full 10days as they are treating the property and garden against it which is amazing. Agus our host, was so lovely to us and our little baby Hector and made our stay very very special, thank you again Agus . The service and the staff were very high standard and accommodating, +++ special note for the banana pancake and juice for breakfast, so so good!

Tout l'hébergement est comme decrit et comme les photos, propre et tout confort. L'acceuil du propriétaire formidable et qui nous a immédiatement dépanné pour un scooter apres un loueur qui nous a fait défaut. Petit dejeuner au top, possible de se faire livrer les repas par un petit warung sure et tres bon. Bref un sejour formidable. Compter 18 minutes en scooter pour rejoindre le coeur d'ubud.

We stayed at Astala Ubud Villa for 2 nights and had such a wonderful experience. The property is new, well-maintained, and comes with a beautiful private pool which made our stay extra special. The service was outstanding – Agush was an amazing host and ensured we were always comfortable and well looked after. Highly recommend this villa if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Ubud.

The whole villa was simply amazing. Very clean, daily cleaning, daily fresh towels. The owners were also great. Helped us booked a tour to east bali and also rented us a scooter cheaply. The breakfast is as big and as good as you can desire. Very quiet because it's a bit out of town.

Ein richtige Oase der Ruhe inmitten des schon sehr hektischen Ubuds. Fantastischer Außenbereich, liebevoll eingerichtete Villa und ein wunderschönes Badezimmer. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man kann auch direkt Touren und Transfers buchen, was sehr praktisch war!

Villa perfetta, tutto splendido, pulito, curato nei minimi dettagli. Accoglienza accurata ed affettuosa di Agus che ha soddisfatto ogni nostra richiesta. Colazione abbondante e di ottima qualità. Piscina privata pulita, piacevole per un comodo relax a fine o inizio giornata. La posizione è in un complesso di ville silenzioso e lontano dal traffico, con Grab in pochi minuti si è al centro con Ubud market, monkey forest, etc. Più che consigliato!

The villa is gorgeous, it looks like a piece of art: there are sculptures in the walls, and everything is done beautifully. There were small flowers everywhere in the house which was a cute touch. The house is comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. The host was available for us if we needed anything, we even had a chat with his family who is lovely. The restaurant Taman Dedari that is 7mn by walk is gorgeous - I recommend going for the sunset.

A gorgeous house with a stunning garden full of unique plants and a private pool. You need to pre-order your breakfast the day before, and you can request floating service in the pool. The host was very helpful and assisted us in arranging a transfer to our next destination. They also offer one-day excursions. Ubud city center is a bit further away, about 20 minutes by taxi.

We had a wonderful stay at Astala Ubud Ville! The place is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and very peaceful. The staff was warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The villa was beautiful and clean. The pool was really nice and relaxing. I specially loved the bathroom as it looked very earthy and luxurious. It was very private and secluded, the only sounds you hear are nature sounds. I was woken up at dawn by the sound of a rooster which I didn’t mind at all. Agus met me at the entrance of the street and he was very kind and friendly, he showed me around and explained everything clearly. I was traveling solo and felt very safe in the villa, breakfast was delivered in the morning at the time I asked for and it was delicious. They also take care not to have any insects in the room by keeping the door always closed and the mosquito net was an appreciated extra protection layer.

I would like to thank Mr. Agus and his father for taking good care of the villa. The villa is very clean and well maintained it also gives you authentic balinese vibes. Mr. Agus can be your tour guide in Ubud if it's your first time.

Agus was very helpful when I needed to leave my stay to get to my next location. The villa is absolutely beautiful if you want a quiet a peaceful stay in Ubud. About 5-10 minute from local restaurants by car or scooter. I highly recommend and will be booking again when I return.

Amazing facilities and host, who was extremely accommodating.

Lovely stay at Astala Ubud Villa. Agus and his family are wonderful hosts. The place looks exactly like the pictures. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and the shower is lovely and hot. The villa itself is very clean.

The only minor downsides are that you need to padlock the door every time you leave, unlike a hotel where doors lock automatically, and the alleyway leading to the villa feels a bit scary at night. If you're scared of dogs, it might not be ideal as there are many stray dogs around. Private taxis/Grab drivers are reluctant to drop you off to the Villa entrance as the roads are very tight. Also, the room could use more lighting—I found it difficult to remove brow hairs and apply makeup.

Everything. Augus greeted us and when he opened the gate to his villa and we went inside WOW it is beautiful He had a welcome bowl of fresh fruit waiting for us on the table. Augus then explained everything about the villa he has made sure you have everything there to make your stay very enjoyable. He said he is available 24 hours a day for your convenience. He can drop you off and pick you up if you want to go somewhere in particular and he can also arrange to take you on a lot of different types of tours. You put your breakfast order in the night before, with the time you would like to have it. In the morning Norman, Augus’s brother delivers your breakfast to the unit and it is all very fresh and beautifully cooked. We just loved jumping in and out of our private pool all day long, it felt so luxurious. Augus arranged for his sisters to come and give us a body massage in the villa, which was very nice and relaxing.At the end of the driveway turn left and two minutes away is The Forest Cafe Restaurant it doesn’t look much from the street but when you go inside and it has a lovely small waterfall and a pond full of fish but more importantly the food is very good. We had two lunches and an evening meal there. Keep going to the left about ten minutes walk away and you will come to the Taman Dedari restaurant, totally didn’t expect the decor of this place, Amazing, food okay would recommend the Beef Rendang. If you keep going past the Taman Dedari restaurant you will come to The Royal Pita Hotel and they have a lovely restaurant Dewata Lounge a little more expensive but it does have a lovely view. Going back to leaving the villa go to the end of the driveway and turn right in a few minutes there is Pd Laundry Express didn’t see this until the day before we were leaving.

The place is amazing, the villa even looks better in reality, the room service is exceptional. Always available. The breakfast tastes amazing and the pool is always cool and relaxing. Also the owner of this place Agos is very friendly and helpful.

Such a beautiful villa - looks EXACTLY like the photos! Nice and quiet. Felt really safe. Comfy bed, great shower, fully equipped kitchen, private pool. Agus is such a great host - really kind, helpful and accommodating. Ubud Central is less than 20-mins away by taxi/Grab. Would definitely stay here again!!

It's a fairly new property so not on Google Maps just yet. Easily solved though - we just navigated to one of the other neighbouring villas.

Had keys to my room but not the main big door. The host and his family were very accommodating. I booked a last minute reservation (same day). The breakfast was included and very good. The family even sung happy birthday to me and wrote out happy birthday on the bed. I loved the cleanliness. No bugs in the room which was a plus for me. They also accommodated my request for the flower pool. The host also provided tips and information about navigating the country.

It was hard for the taxis to find my location. Also, watch out for random dogs. I am not a stray animal person. Not really a negative to the site but an fyi.

Very quiet and very private. Amazing just to chill out and relax. Everything is new and clean and the bed is very comfortable. Well equipped outdoor kitchen so you can make your own meals. The owner is very nice and his family own a few of the adjacent properties so they will do their best to look after you and give you privacy. We will stay here again when we are in ubud next

The location on google maps is wrong as of January 2025 so we initially went to the wrong place (only a block away) which was confusing. A quick call to the owner and he came to get us. So if you are using google maps make sure you use the correct address and not the default google location. The owner says he is changing this so it might not be a problem for much longer

Beautiful house/villa, super well maintained. Huge bathroom, great pool. Equipped with everything you’d need for a long or short stay. Fresh fruit everyday and abundant water, drinks and beer. Mr. Agus is a super gracious and helpful host. We managed to rent a very nice scooter from him. Super convenient. The area is very quiet and peaceful, but also quite convenient to get in and out of Ubud while avoiding traffic. In all a 10 out of 10 stay.
