The room (201) we stayed was spacious enough and good for two large luggages without blocking the ways. Everything was clean. Nice mattress! And it's said in the description that it's a frosted window due to privacy concern, so we expected it's a room without views but we're happy the window was just large to allow great amount of sunlight. (not sure if other rooms are the same tho)

Really nice, comfortable and clean hotel in the Kyoto. Incredible value for money in relation to the quality of the room you get. Highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was great.

I stayed here with my 10y daughter. Our room was very spacious, modern and comfortable. There was a common laundry, and iron and ironing table were available in the room. Location was very good. Lounge with free ice cream and beverages and the shooting game in the lobby make the stay fun for children as well.

The bed was a bit hard and pillows were not ideal for a face down sleeper.

The location was very good, the facilities were good there.

The cleaning staff were not that good. They didn’t clean the room during my stay. They just clean what was visible but nothing else even the bed. In breakfast they didn’t provide everything even when you ask multiple times.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. We are in our 80's. Therefore, required help such as bringing water (the hotel does not provide water bottles in rooms), moving luggage and doing laundry (laundry is located on ground floor). Unfortunately, we were unable to move around too much and the hotel staff/ manager also did not offer to help despite being aware of our age and physical fitness levels. As such our daughter had to come and help (she was staying at a nearby hotel). We had informed the staff that was present at check-in about her occasional visits to the hotel to help us. Seeing our issues at the hotel, our daughter decided to cancel her existing reservation and move into the hotel and booked a room for herself on day three. At the time of check-in however, she noticed that the room they allocated was visibly smaller. She pointed this out to the manager who was present at the time and requested that the same room which she booked, be allocated. However, to her surprise, the manager suddenly reacted in a very hostile manner and asked her to cancel her reservation. She had to not just cancel her reservation and again look for a new hotel, we also had to manage the rest of the stay on our own with great difficulties. In a country which is well known for courtesy towards old people, such hostile/rude behavior is unthinkable. In contrast when we stayed at a 4 star hotel in Tokyo, seeing our age the staff was extremely polite and accommodating. We do not recommend this hotel

The hotel is clean and quiet. Very nice location, it’s central but in a back alley so it’s not noisy nor crowded and gives you a very local feel. I was there during the Gion festival and some of the events were taking place right outside the hotel where you could hear people chanting, was very calming. Lots of nice eateries and cafes and bars around. 15 mins walk from Nishiki market, 20-30 mins walk from Yasaka Shrine - buses all around. The lounge area is a nice idea as well as the free sweets and refreshments.

The breakfast, although there is a genuine effort behind it, it’s poor and when it comes to the cooked breakfast offered (you have like two options between omelette or fish dish), it’s bad, like really bad and of very very small quantity by any standard. No reason to waste your money. There are lots of coffee places around where you can get decent breakfast and you can always go to 7-eleven for anything you can think of! The day of my check out, I left my suitcases at the hotel to do a last walk around. The suitcases were left at the lobby, nearby the main entrance which was accessible to anyone and they were also unattended. There was no person at the reception when I came to pick up my stuff (1800 hrs). I just walked in took my stuff and left and I could have been anyone. That was bad, very bad.

ラウンジにてフリーフローサービスがあり、内容もとても良かったです。ビールやワイン、ジュースなど他にも様々な種類の飲み物が楽しめます。また食べ物も美味しくいただくことができました。朝ごはんについてもメインのプレートに飲み物やパン、アイスなど食べ放題で満足度の高い内容でした。

ハウスキーピングの方が外国の方でした。そこは問題ないのですが、日本人の方よりもやはり雑な印象で（過去に宿泊した経験上）お風呂の細かな部分やゴミ箱などあまり綺麗とは言えませんでした。

便利な場所だった。 地下鉄最寄駅から歩いて行ける。 ラウンジは想像よりカジュアルな感じだったが、シンプルながら欲しいものはある感じでとても良かった。

La struttura si presenta molto nuova, con uno stile pulito. Personale super gentile, disponibile e preparato. Camera con ampi spazi, molto confortevole, letti comodi, completa di tutti gli accessori (skincare, asciugacapelli, piastra per capelli, pigiama eccezionale). Nell'area break usata per la colazione, è offerta anche una merenda molto gustosa. Disponibile area laundry con lava-asciuga che completa ciclo in 2 ore. Posizione perfetta per partire in esplorazione della città.

Posizione centrale vicino alla metro e ai quartieri più iconici di Kyoto. Letti comodissimi e doccia ottima. Colazione non eccezionale ma lounge aperto di pomeriggio con possibilità di consumare gratuitamente.

La colazione non a buffet ma scelta fra 3 piatti preparati.

Super behagelig og lukseriøst hotell med kort avstand til alt. Etter noen dager i hektiske Tokyo var det å ankomme Kyoto og dette hotellet nærmest som en spa-opplevelse. Supermyke senger, romslig bad og rom generelt, nytt, flott og fint. Også veldig rolig! Jeg elsker alt ved rommet og hotellet, og også det vennelige og fine personalet. Det var også et lounge område med forfriskninger og noe mat og søtt tilgjengelig store deler av døgnet. Gode restauranter i umiddelbar nærhet, samt shopping og metero innen kort gange. Elsker alt og drømmer meg tilbake til den vakre byen og dette hotellet!

Beautiful looking rooms. Very clean & quite spacious. Good location, walkable to main areas & close to subway. Would highly recommend, lounge floor was an added bonus. Staff were most helpful.

I really liked the hotel. It was very nice. The rooms were large with a beautiful ensuite and comfortable beds. The inclusive breakfast was lovely and the happy drinks were very kind and generous. The staff were lovely also.

I didn’t like the camera in the lounge that moved to watch you everytime you moved around. I found that uncomfortable and creepy. I understand why you have a camera, but put it in the corner that does not move around.

The General Kyoto was a very warm and welcoming hotel, with very friendly English-speaking staff. The free drinks and snacks in the afternoon/evening was a lovely addition to a very professional and upscale experience altogether. It was in a really great location close to shops, restaurants, train stations and bus stops.

朝食の際、ふりかけの場所が違っており、間違って苦手なわさびふりかけをかけてしまい、ご飯を一杯粗末にしてしまいました また朝食時は、スープやおみそ汁があったら最高に良かったのにと思いました

清潔で居心地がよかった。 チェックイン、チェックアウト非常にスムーズだった。 アメニティーが充実していた。 パジャマが快適だった。 午後からラウンジが使えて、お水やコーヒー、アイスクリーム、おつまみ、梅酒などいただけた。 四条通りからすぐ近くで、飲食店もインバウンド価格だけではないところも多く選択肢が多い。 近所の寄り合い所で祇園祭のお稽古をしている音が聞こえてきて、情緒があった。（6月下旬宿泊）

しいて言えばバスタブがないことですが、シャワーは上からとハンドルタイプと切り替えられて高級感がありよかったです。

Emplacement dans un quartier tranquille, avec qques restaurants & bars à côté; arrêts métro / bus à environ 5-7 min à pied. Shopping, restaurants ( marché Nishiki market, Pontocho accessibles à env.10-20 min à pied ), sites touristiques rapidement & facilement accessibles. Chambre, grande pour le Japon, très confortable, moderne, ambiance reposante ( aucun désagrément sonore ) et propreté incroyable. Lounge avec boissons et snacks gratuits très appréciée !

Seul bémol qui pourrait déranger certaines personnes : pas de vue sur l’extérieur, la fenêtre étant totalement opaque, et impossible à l’ouverture.

Desde la entrada, el lobby es muy bonito! La habitación estaba amplia, cómoda, muy limpia y el personal muy amable. No incluye desayuno, pero tiene un servicio de café, té, vino, cerveza y antojos gratis en un ambiente muy tranquilo. Excelente para pasar un rato agradable! Sin duda,, volvería a hospedarme ahí.

La ubicación está un poco confusa, ya que no tiene ningún letrero por fuera. Pero eso es lo de menos, el hotel tiene excelente servicio.

El hotel es perfecto para pasar unos días visitando Kioto. Está bien situado, es silencio y muy cómodo. En el desayuno te dan a elegir entre tres platos diferentes y, además, tienes una parte pequeña de buffet libre. El personal es atento y amable. Sin duda, repetiría alojamiento si vuelvo Kioto.

La relación calidad precio fue muy buena y aunque era una habitación de la primera planta que ya avisan que pueden ser ruidosas por la laundry room y por el personal de limpieza la verdad que no oímos nada de ruido

השהות הכי כיפית שלי ביפן, קיבלתי חדר נעים, נקי ומרווח מאוד ביחס לחדרים ביפן עם כל מה שדרוש למטיילת. יש חדר כביסה נגיש ואהבתי גם שהלאונג׳ פתוח במהלך שעות היום לשתיה ונשנושים. השירות מעולה והצוות מסביר פנים.

Room is spacious and good interior. The lounge with all you can drink alcohol during happy hour. Good location in a quiet neighborhood. Those who come with car will love this place as there is public parking space right across the hotel.

When we arrived our rooms had big coffee stain on the floor with a piece of trash attached to the AC. We asked the staff to remove it and they did it promptly. They also did the thorough clean in the next day and thus coffee stain was removed.

Un vrai coup de cœur pour ce petit hôtel dans un quartier calme , près du métro et des bus , 20mm à pieds du centre. Un lounge petit mais sympa avec boissons offertes et petits snacks. Personnel adorable. Grande chambre très bien équipée. Nous avons pu faire transférer nos bagages via Yamato vers un nouvel hôtel sur Tokyo (24h avant, ils se chargent de tout, environ 40€ 3 valises) quel bonheur de ne pas traîner nos valises dans le shinkansen

Small, clean, neat, friendly, quiet street. Easy walk to subway station, food markets, and some really good local eateries. Fantastic breakfast. It is not a full English breakfast kind of place if that is your thing, but it is generous and plenty of choice. Free drinks and snacks all afternoon and evening was a bonus and nice way to chill out. Also eco friendly!

Nothing to complain about.

The staff were extremely helpful, and the hotel offered excellent amenities. Our room was spacious by Japanese standards, very comfortable, quiet, and had great beds. The coin-operated laundry was convenient and worked perfectly, and the provided sleepwear was a lovely touch. The lounge was fantastic for coffee, after-dinner drinks, and relaxing between sightseeing.

The only downside is that the hotel is a bit of a walk from the main sights and the subway, although there is a bus stop nearby.

Clean, comfortable and exceptional service. Spending time at the lounge was a treat of the day. Beds were comfortable, clean and spacious! Staff are helpful and kind. Less than 10mins from nishiki Market and shijo station. Lots of amazing local restaurants around as well.

Air circulation can be lacking since there are no windows to open. They have air conditioning and dehumidifier.

Sobre o quarto, tem um conforto muito bom, sendo um dos maiores quartos da viagem. Tem amenidades excelentes como pijama e qualquer outra necessidade de personal care. A ducha é impecável.
